pairing: boey x gn!reader

summary: after an argument with boey, mae tries to get the two of you to make up again

the tension between you and boey had become unbearable. not just for the two of you, but it started to affect the people around you as well. ever since that argument the two of you had, you went from talking to each other every day to not even looking at one another. yet you were too stubborn to admit you were wrong and missed each other.

so much so, that you two rather stayed away from each other than admit your mistakes. or at least stayed as far away as you could be, when you two are sharing a friend group. speaking of your friends, they were the most annoyed about this whole situation…

"can the two of you just kiss and make up already? it's been almost a week!"

mae groaned and rolled her eyes, quickly getting both you and boey to glare and shout at her.

"MAE–!!"

as soon as you noticed how in sync you two were, you went silent again, averting your gaze from one another.

"see! even now, you two are on the same side! can't you just admit you're both idiots and move on?"

for a moment, you and boey glanced towards each other again, before your eyes met and you couldn't help but get nervous, looking away once more. that comment from mae about kissing and making up had really hit a nerve.

"i suppose… if we'd just both ignore our argument, then we could move on… because i'm not apologizing!"

boey had started off promising, only to drift off at the end again. you huffed bitterly, but went with his deal.

"fine, because i'm not apologizing either! …but i am ready to forget and forgive…"

mae grinned excited, watching the two of you finally talk to each other again.

"see, that wasn't so bad! now the two of you just have to kiss and–"

"MAE–!!"

a/n: i dub the rest of this week fe week in honor of echoes coming out!!

the poor boy is terrified of rejection, so asking out his s/o is like... a month long affair.

he tries to drop hints so they might pick up so he doesn’t have to flat out say it. though, the hints are super vague, so he’d definitely have to end up spelling it out for his crush. + let’s be real he’d probably start insulting them and call it flirting.

gets really blushy around them and mae will tease him for it relentlessly. though, she will give him advice on how to confess to them because “she’s not a big jerk” + “wow, if i knew you were scared of girls too, i would’ve helped you a lot earlier.” “i am NOT scared of girls, mae!!!”

when he does confess finally, he’d try to follow her steps, by complimenting them and telling them everything he likes about them, but will forget everything and basically grab their shoulders, and yell “i LIKE you, okay?” + crush just... bursts into laughter and he turns even more pink because they look so cute when they laugh. of course, they say yes.
