fake/pretend relationship
A: I LOVE the fake dating trope whether it's in fanfics or general fiction because it either ends in them falling in love but being extra pining 🥹 or it's usually hilarious ahshdjd either way, I love it.

Jirou, Moml, Denki
....i can't believe you've done this to me..... I need to think ..
OKAY SO.
Slow Burn with Denki because hejdjs it's him!!! He's so goofy and sweet!!! I think I'd fall for him slowly. Or more like I'd fall for him so hard that I wouldn't even realise when it happened because we'd be so comfortable with each other's presence and we have so many casual moments, like just cuddling whenever everyones getting together and watching something, or just always holding hands and not even realising. I really like physical affection and he seems like the type of person I'd be very comfortable with so it seems very plausible. and then one day someone would be like 'so how long have you guys been dating' and that's when the mere thought of like 'oh I think i romantically like him' would begin to rise in my mind.
Fake Dating with Momo because okay listen she goes to the rich people events and stuff right. And I'm sure one way or the other we can fit the trope of 'there needs to be a plus one with her in the events or the parents are gonna grab some random other rich dude to court her for the sake of the company or prestige or sth' so that where the fake Dating takes place. We'd definitely already be friends before and I would 100% be up to help her but have you seen her???? She is so awesome and amazing and also so very sweet and caring!!!!!! Impossible to not fall in love with her.
Enemies to Lovers with Jirou. I don't think we'd be like hero - villain enemies but more of class rivals who dislike each other with petty passion. Probably argued about bands or instruments once and kept finding different things to argue about, or just make small petty remarks simply because it's fun and entertaining and gets us sufficiently riled up enough to get the dopamine running. After a while tho we'd be like casually shit talking with each other but to outsiders it would seem like aggressive flirting. (Would I have listened to the bands she liked which we argued about, after the argument? Yes. Have I made a little playlist with songs that remind me of her? Yes. Are they all lovey but also a bit rock-y? Yes.)

Mirko, Hawks, Midnight 👀
Slow Burn with Hawks. For a man who's so fast in his daily life and seemingly flirtatious, i doubt that he would take big steppies in romance from the get go. I think that if he'd start liking someone it would be a very slow and unknowing process. Plus taking myself into consideration I think seeing hawks as a flirty hero, even if he does make advances, sure I might get flustered but I wouldn't be taking it to heart. So that's gonna create an extra period of time before things actually get serious.
Fake Date with Midnight because I feel like we would flirt so much as a joke on a daily basis. And then something would happen to cause us to fake date and even then we'd continue jokingly flirting but then we'll have a moment that's like 'oh what's this? I am flirting with her and I look into those gorgeous eyes and Wow i Am Now A Blushing Mess™️' and then we'd start getting a bit more conscious of each other and yeah <3333
Enemies to Lovers with Miruko. For her I feel like if there's not a slight excitement factor in the relationship she might not want to even start pursuing the person even if it would end up being someone who she might end up being very happy with. And enemies to lovers is and absolutely perfect amount of excitement for her. (Also maybe i would like to get chased and taken down by miruko but who's talking about that-)

Age regression, only one bed and sex pollen for the fanfic tropes!
Age regression is ambiguous so I'll answer for the different tropes as I understand them.
When the character physically (or physically and mentally deages, that's a B! It's pretty fun and I like getting the different perspectives from other characters who have to deal with this suddenly younger person.
The roleplay version of this is an F though, especially the "little" and "big" universes.
Only one bed, B! I like it but I don't go seeking it out. It's just such a perfect way to force some intimacy between characters. Now kiss!
Sex pollen, B! I like noncon and dubcon so this is good. I definitely prefer "bad guys make them do it" though, just because the characters are more mentally aware and can protest more xD

dimension travel?
I don't think I've read too many (although some time travel stories are really just dimension travel, I suppose), but in general I enjoy them! It's fun to explore different futures/canon divergences in that way. B/C

you know sometimes one of the things the fandom does that i like the least is joke about how certain ccs are "lorephobic" because it basically always ignores the lore they actually are really and visibly doing. like, sure, they may not be doing the lore YOU'RE looking at, but, one, lore doesn't just mean "big overarching server storyline" it can also mean solo stuff. it can also mean 'builds that have story built into them'. it can also mean 'fun little storyline between like two guys'. it can also mean character continuity. it can mean many things. two, "this guy doesn't do lore" is NOT the same thing as "this guy doesn't do the specific lore i personally like and want to see them doing" and i don't always think you guys know the difference. all of this, of course, is to say: hey guys did you know zedaph can canonically time travel,

A LA MEME. MDZS, Really nice guy who hates only you, hate at first sight?
It was totally inappropriate for a corpse to be popular.
But there it was: the Ghost General was more well-liked every day. He seemed to spend all his time wandering around rescuing maidens from monsters and lifting wagons off of old men. In a few years he'd be a hero of the people.
Even the cultivation world didn't expect harm from him anymore. Most of Jin Ling's peers addressed the corpse as qianbei; Jin Ling didn't, but he seemed to get on with him well enough.
Jiang Cheng hadn't actually said out loud, when he saw Wen Qionglin parting ways with Sect Leader Jin with an exchange of polite salutes, he killed your father, but he'd looked it. Jin Ling, fluent in Jiang Cheng's expressions, sighed.
"It was an accident," he said. "And he's apologized. And, you know, uncle, he was held prisoner by Jin Sect almost my entire life, you can't say he hasn't paid for it. And..."
And they had killed his whole family. And his older sister.
Jiang Cheng looked away. "Huh."
When Jiang Cheng had made his first, clumsy attempt at mending a little of the gruesome breach between himself and Wei Wuxian, the Ghost General had been there, glaring daggers at him from behind the Yiling Laozu.
It had been more disconcerting than it should have been, and Jiang Cheng had stumbled, interrupted himself, and fallen silent enough times that eventually Wei Wuxian had taken pity on him, reached out, patted him on the arm one time, said, "Good talk, Jiang Cheng," and extricated them both from the situation.
Freed from the burden of conversation, he'd returned Wen Qionglin's glare, and lost. Corpses didn't need to blink.
He didn't want the bastard to like him. Which was just as well since it was out of the question. Jiang Cheng had never for a second in his life liked Wen Qionglin; from the first time he'd laid eyes on him when they were youths he'd interpreted him as a pathetic, burdensome coward, and despised him for it.
Owing the man his life had made it worse--he hadn't even wanted to be saved, and it was Wei Wuxian's stupid horrible charm and habit of interfering where he wasn't wanted that had done it, and like hell had he owed anything, when that person's family had murdered his. (I owe him nothing, he'd told himself once, because Wen Qionglin had been the reason he lost Wei Wuxian.)
Another time, he found himself in both their company and drew apart, letting the Yiling Patriarch and the Ghost General play at being mentors to the youth. Neither of you lived to see twenty-five, he wanted to shout. What do you think you have to teach them?
Even Jin Ling...it made him furious. Furious to glance over and see a corpse's stiff face conveying softness.
Furious to look past the crowd and see Lan Wangji's eyes falling on Wen Qionglin with an unmistakable resentment. And to know that it wasn't the stiff propriety of the Lan Wangji of their youths, objecting to the heresy of that fierce corpse's existence; that it was the look of a petty, jealous man resenting the way Wei Wuxian knocked his shoulder together with the Ghost General's and laughed.
"Where do you get off hating Wen Ning?" he asked the next time he found himself alone with Lan Wangji. It was a stupid thing to ask, but if he let himself think about how they were threshing through the underbrush looking for Wei Wuxian, about the last time they had looked for Wei Wuxian together...
Lan Wangji ignored him.
Jiang Cheng snorted. "Okay. So maybe you don't hate him. But he likes you! He's so deferential it makes me want to puke."
Lan Wangji favored him with the merest hint of a sneer, just enough to show he was listening to Jiang Cheng talk.
"You're disgusting," said Jiang Cheng. "Do you really think he shouldn't have anyone but you in his life? That he's your property?"
Lan Wangji's stride broke. It was a triumph, in a way--Jiang Cheng had never thrown him so badly in all the years they'd known each other.
"Each man judges others by his own heart," said Lan Wangji, thick with contempt, and then he was walking ahead with pointed rapidity, determined to separate from Jiang Cheng, until staying together would have meant chasing after him, and Jiang Cheng turned and went the other way, muttering blackly.
In the end, fittingly, neither of them caught up in time to be of use. Wen Ning, with his homing sense for Wei Wuxian, had shown up out of who the fuck knew where and bailed him out.
Jiang Cheng stumbled upon the haunted spring just in time to see a sodden, bedraggled Wei Wuxian launch himself away from his pet Wen's supportive arm and fling himself against the upright form of Hanguang-jun, which bent around him with a reverent murmur.
Jiang Cheng was already turning away in disgust to head back home, hating that he'd let himself be dragged into this, when he heard Lan Wangji say with careful, solemn deliberation: "Thank you, Wen Qionglin. For taking care of him."
Jiang Cheng glanced back against his will to see the Ghost General saluting deeply, wide-eyed, infinitely humble, his murmur that it was nothing special, Hanguang-jun, nearly drowned out by Wei Wuxian's delighted shouting about how good his Lan Zhan was and how much Wen Ning deserved to be appreciated.
Jiang Cheng walked away.
Wen Qionglin wasn't rude to him. Not in any way you could point at. And he knew full well he'd be making an ass of himself if he tried to pick a verbal fight.
After all, they had killed Wen Qionglin's older sister.
The whole cultivation world had done it, but only Jiang Cheng had done it after Wen Qionglin saved his life. He'd told himself he owed no debt for that, and perhaps he hadn't, but the fact remained: of the two of them, one had been brave and virtuous and earned the loyalty of Wei Wuxian.
And one of them had been pathetic, a coward, a burden.
Jiang Cheng could never look at the man without seeing the look in his dead eyes across the length of Suibian.
Jiang Cheng had never been good at lying to himself, especially if the lie was meant to be comforting. He always tried it anyway. Comforting lies used to sound so true, in Wei Wuxian's mouth; he should never have gotten into the habit of relying on that. To letting that person think Jiang Cheng was someone who needed to be swaddled in falsehoods to give him the strength to bear up under his own duties.
Wen Qionglin was a kind, gentle, courageous dead body, shy and courteous and increasingly appreciated for his virtues, in this strange new world created in the wake of Jin Guanyao's disgrace. And whenever his eyes fell on Jiang Cheng they were cold, hard, flat, contemptuous.
Every time he looked at him Jiang Cheng could nearly hear him thinking, like a cold wind against the back of his neck: I should have left you in that heap of corpses with the rest of your family.
What are you worth, Jiang Wanyin, that so many should be spent in saving you? That Wei Wuxian would drag us all into the shadow of death to make you whole, only for you to turn your face aside when it was me lying there, and let him die for us without lifting a finger?
Selfish, whining coward. If only I had left you there to die.
If only, Jiang Cheng imagined spitting back, anger hot and bracing in his throat. If only! I never asked for any of it! How dare you expect me to repay you!
But Wen Qionglin never spoke any of the words out loud. He only looked, cold dead flat black eyes. A frozen river. Sometimes Jiang Cheng thought that if he lashed out hard enough he would break a hole in the ice, and be devoured whole.

Okay, I saw the post about sending you unpopular opinions and I want to ask: what's your least favorite trope in ATLA fics?
oooh I have FEELINGS about this one
ok so I might just get bitten for this but I’m sorry the amnesia/hEAVY angst trope. like yessss I knowww flwogb but darlings, I physically cannot bring myself to read such intense, vomit inducing, eye twitching, nail bitingly vicious angst on purpose. idk maybe I’m just a freak but I read fanfic to make my characters happy and there is a LINE 😭😭
anyway yeah like angst is great but there are only so many dark fics I can take before I’m like: ok are these the same characters or am i just sleep deprived

okay, let's see if i can come up with something interesting for the trope mashup. how abouuut,
12+81? 👀🍎
OK, 12 (Vampire AU) + 81 (Mistaken Identity), let's see....
Mickey has been hunting vampires most of his life. He knows the signs.
So when he starts frequenting a bar in Boystown, you can't really help him for the mistake. Tall, almost preternatually good looking, ghostly pale skin, only ever seen at night... yeah, that redhead is almost definitely a vampire. And the attraction Mickey feels every time their eyes meet - that is definitely the vampire trying to draw him in as his next victim.
He can't really be blamed either for what happens next when he decides to trap the vampire by letting him think he has mickey under his spell.
He's just lucky that the hot redhead actually thinks it's funny when Mickey explains why he just stabbed him. Taking him to get patched up was probably the best decision he's ever made. Especially when the hot redhead insists that they trade numbers and starts texting him that same night.

I finally put together all of those mini fics I wrote for the AU + Trope +Prompt Game. They were supposed to be drabbles - but ha, didn't exactly end up that way. 😂
I'll keep the prompts open as of now , if any one else is interested in playing. Also am open to trying other pairings/fandoms, not just Klaine/Glee, as long as I'm familiar with them :) RWRB, anyone? 😉
Just bear in mind, I can only get to them when I can - got some other WIP that I need to get back to!
You can find the whole series at A03 by clicking here

Age gap or age regression
Generally a B for most fandoms, especially if the characters canonically have a massive age gap (like say Gimli and Legolas) but F for Blackbonnet cause one of the things I love about them and that got me so unwell about them was the idea of them falling in love so much later in life? And of them being middle aged? And just that they're basically the same age and behave like they're teenagers abshsj

Todoroki, hello kitty and nozaki kun
Interesting choices- okay
Fake Dating with Nozaki-Kun because a. He would definitely be up for it since it would give him new material for his manga. And b. This mf is so dense that the fake Dating would be a success in terms of keeping it fake
Slow burn with Hello Kitty because to be honest I don't know much about her so a big part of the slow burn would be getting to know each other. Also she seems very sweet also i wouldnt want to be rushing things with her.
Enemies to lovers with todoroki because honestly i can see him being annoyed at me at first and then slowly warming up to me. And if I didn't know his backstory and stuff I'd be like 'who's this angry pretty boy'
Send me three characters and ill tell you who I'd rather have a slow burn/fake Dating/enemies to lovers with

Faked Married + I didn't mean to turn you on
Okay, I this one screams for Elain and Lucien on the continent, traveling in the human lands where they have to pretend they're married because why do humans care what a mate means. And I'm picturing lots of referring to each other as "husband" and "wife" and they both secretly really like it, especially Elain, who is getting hornier and hornier every time Lucien says it. Until finally they return back to their inn and sloppy fuck.
The end.

Crack fic and doppelganger for fanfic tropes?
Crackfic, B I like it! I think I probably searched it out a lot more when I was younger, but it's still really fun to read. I write it sometimes but I combine it with angst in a way I think not many people appreciate xD
Doppleganger, I'm not sure exactly what this is. Clones? Time travel hijinks? Anyway I'll give it B, I do enjoy stuff with versions of the same character interacting. I think it's especially interesting when the differences between them are highlighted, or one of them actively despises the other version of themselves.

hey it’s writing ask time <3
7, 11, 17, 26, 33
(idk if I’m allowed to ask more than one thing but god I love hearing opinions)
EMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM also YES you absolutely can ask more than one thing :DDD
7. Your favourite ao3 tag.
It would absolutely be "Possessive Midoriya Izuku" and "Pining Bakugou Katsuki". Gotta love me some gay boyos being gay boyos
11. Three tropes that are fine but overrated.
1) we were about to kiss but then something/someone interrupted us and now we're going to pretend it didn't happen, 2) overhearing part of a conversation and running off, and 3) pretend dating to make an ex jealous and then falling in love with the "fake" partner. The first two because if used well, can be really good, but a lot of people use them for no other reason than to drag out the plot for no reason and never explaining why the characters acted that way (insecurity, fear, thinking the other was just in the moment, etc) As for the third one, again, if written well I will enjoy it, but also a lot of times people use it to make certain characters unnecessarily petty to the point at that it's OOC.
17. Past or present tense? Why?
...I'm not gonna lie, I don't purposefully choose. If I start something in past tense, I roll with past tense. If I start with present, I roll with present. I think I tend to lean towards with present tense more? Idk lol
26. What would you describe as OOC?
Honestly really depends on the character. In general though, I'd say overexaggerating one of their MANY traits (like how some fics exaggerate Izuku's bright & bubbly personality and make him a soft uwu boy and border on feminizing him) or bashing a character purely because not bashing the character wouldn't work with the pairing (like Ochako bashing in BkDk/DkBk fics).
33. Give your writing a compliment.
I have strong skills when it comes to dialogue. Sometimes I'll say the dialogue out loud to make sure it sounds natural, like something I'd just say randomly to my irl friend or whatever, and so it flows smoothly and I can make dialogue from different characters be distinct.
