Please do you have recommendation for bls that involve child rearing. I liked Our Dinning Table and Close Knit (not a bl but a LGBTQ movie) thank you. I like Bls like Moonlight Chicken, Eight Sense, Bad Buddy, Love Tractor, Until We Meet Again, Cutie Pie, Unintentional Love Story, My Love Mix Up. Thank you.

BLs Featuring Tiny Families
There really aren't many. Vietnam and Taiwan tend to be the only ones who offer this with any regularity, and they just don't produce many BLs over all. So slim pickings.
Off the top of my head?
Our Dining Table, Japan - of course, the kid is not just present but the primary driver for the relationship
HIStory 2: Right or Wrong, Taiwan - until ODT came along this would have been my first pick. Out gay college kid accidentally becomes a nanny to his arse professor's adorable daughter. Bonus points for the first mention & depiction of legal marriage equality in a full length BL. Detract points for seriously neglectful parenting. Add points back for lovey high heat action. I like this one a lot more than most do. But I also like teacher/student taboo trope.
Monster in Law, Vietnam (same pair as Hey Rival I Love You) - I ended up dropping this so I don't if it even had an ending, certainly didn't seem to be heading that direction
Papa & Daddy, Taiwan - slice of life gay domesticity set firmly in a realistic queer scene in Taipei that I quite enjoyed but one of the leads switches between seasons 1 & 2, season 1 ends on a cliffhanger
Tein Bromance EXTRA, Vietnam - a spy/mafia/assassin ended up coupled with a teacher (from one of the shorts in the first "series") and they adopt a child. It"s interesting @heretherebedork can tell you more, they like this series better than I do.
Plus & Minus (side couple), Taiwan - one of the characters in the side couple is a single dad, they quite cute
Love is Science? (side plot), Taiwan - sometimes your family is a confident gay man being the responsible dad of his disaster bi’s one night stand’s baby, the baby mommy, and the disaster
Thailand will nod in this direction but so far it's never been key or a plot driver, all the ones I know from Thailand are mentioned in this post from a couple years ago:
I can't think of any more that have happened since then.
So far Korea hasn't been brave enough, but they don't really acknowledge bisexuality (and that seems to be the work around everyone uses) also they v conservative around notions of family and outness...
China edged into it with Word of Honor, but that's gay dad's "adopt the childlike adults in their sphere".
I'll try to update it with the content from this ask and then repost for ya.

The most upsetting part of this scene (and probably the whole ep) are these two looks:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because the look on Jeff’s face? It’s hopeful and trusting. He has just the slightest ghost of a smile when he looks at Alan, he looks like he has full confidence that Alan is going to back him up, continue backing him up like he does at the start of this confrontation.
But the look on Alan’s face? It’s doubt. He looks at Jeff and he thinks maybe and he breaks eye contact, looks away just slightly, drops his gaze, because he wants to trust Jeff and he can see the hope in those eyes, but he’s unsure. And even if he chooses to trust Jeff, he’s team leader, how can he not side with his boys? How can he not support the majority, the boys he’s known the longest, the boys who’ve proven their loyalty to him and each other over years, and offer the resolution that most benefits the most amount of people?
How can he not choose the rational resolution, even if it requires squashing that hard-earned trust?

I need to point out that Rei never sleeps soundly, he is easily startled and ready to jump up in case of someone breaking in. But he slept so soundly and calmly when he was in a bed with Kazuki and Miri because he felt safe with them. Miri pulled his hair! Kazuki even called his name and he wouldn't wake.

Pit Babe is about how you can build a family but also how a family can break you down and tear you to pieces and leave you feeling nothing.
How the right family can turn you into a person you don't even recognize and how the wrong family can do that exact same thing but the other way around.
A found family can choose you and heal you and give you a chance at a life you never imagined while a family that promises to find you a home can turn you into a dog so desperate for anything that you'll bite anyone who comes near you trying to protect that hope.
It's how you can find peace with people who love you in a place that makes you feel safe and how the place that everyone says will make you feel that way can leave you small and scared and hurting so much that everyone around you has to hurt as well.
Family is not what the world has told you it must be.
Family is about love and comfort and safety, about finding a place where you can be hurt and be angry and be yourself and still be loved and still be at home and still belong even when you're at your lowest point.
Alan has built that family, that love, that warmth and that acceptance by never backing down and never abandoning anyone and giving them a home that exudes all of his own feelings for the people he cares about.
Tony just tears people down until he can sit on a throne of their pain because that is the only solid foundation he trusts.

it wouldn’t a dmd show if there wasn’t a message about gay equality.. and yidiao were the perfect couple to represent gay parents

KISEKI: DEAR TO ME (2023, TAIWAN)
Episode 13 - The Finale
Rightfully so. This hot as f*ck side couple closed the show. Love ya, Fan Ze Rui and Bai Zong Yi but Chen Yi (NAT CHEN) and Ai Di (LOUIS CHIANG) stole the finale episode and I ain't mad.
Sure Ze Rui fell on his sword (somewhat literally as Zhang Teng's sister took revenge for her brother's death. Feeling like she deserved her vengeance he encouraged the teen to run as he bled out. Did he die? Of course not. And no retribution on this sad little girl that lost her brother.
Plus after the credits rolled Ze Rui and Zong Yi got a little more screen time and the beginning of some kitchen nookie. Fin. Applause.
This BL broke the bank on guest stars from other BL's but I could not enjoy Wayne Song and Huang Chun Chih since they first were NOT a couple in this and instead of Huang Chun Chih character dying Wayne Song's character bit the bullet. Kinda adding insult to injury (points off for that KISEKI even if he was a bad guy)
So the best Guest Stars go to PLUS & MINUS couple MAX LIN and SHI CHENG XUAN.
