I'm conducting a VERY important scientific study.
Please reblog this even if you don't watch Doctor Who and have no idea what I'm talking about, because I need to reach people who do.

I'm loving your oc stuff too!!! Do you think we could get some (non spoilery) info about them?
Sure :] Cameron (right) is a barista living in her hometown with her younger sister she and is not thrilled about any of these things. Ari (left) writes articles about paranormal/hokey true crime stuff for a buzzfeed-knockoff type of website after quitting her phd. Theyre both mid-20s and also both gay but Cameron is very closeted
Ari's phd program was in vertebrate evolution, specifically feline phylogenetics, which segues into my worldbuilding that I've also wanted to talk about lol. All the characters in this world are based on cats from subfamily Felinae – basically all small wildcats combined into one sapient species instead of humans. The characters I've designed so far are inspired by specific cats (Cameron is based on a serval and Ari on a pampas cat) but I'm not trying to stick too closely to that since they're all meant to be the same species from a worldbuilding perspective. No domestic cats (furry or animal) but regular big cats are still a thing, basically akin to great apes vs humans. Anthropomorphic cougars and cheetahs are a thing but are extinct, like extinct hominids. Basically my effort to shove cats into a human evolution parallel lol

if i have to see one more pedantic fan analysis of the last of us that revolves entirely around the conviction that joel was 100% objectively right for saving ellie bc "the cure wasnt real" or "the fireflies didnt have the medical expertise to create a cure and would have killed ellie for nothing" or "there arent cures for fungal infections in the real world" im going to scream. why are all of you so allergic to genuinely morally complex stories. why do you have to compulsively strip away all conflict in a narrative so that your faves are always right and correct and good. your takes are boring. they make the story boring. its so much more vastly interesting if the cure is real and joel saves ellie anyway, dooming the world. its so much more interesting if we as the audience want joel to save ellie anyway, regardless of if it dooms the world. its so much more interesting to grapple with the moral and emotional conflict in the story and in ourselves instead of cowardly shying away from it.

Thinking about Alastor and Vox slowly drifting away and then Valentino slowly entering the picture.
Vox introduces Valentino to Alastor thinking that his films could be good content for him to advertise and broadcast since its Hell which in turn would increase the viewership of his channels.
Alastor personally doesn't like it since he never really understood the appeal himself even if some people likes it a lot. It just rubs him the wrong way. Not only that but he likes the current business partnership he and Vox have.
And now you're telling him he has to share assets and attention with this pompous moth?
Haha, No.
Unfortunately, Vox was not swayed by Alastor's thinly veiled protests. Annoyance nearly written on his face as Valentino merely smiles. Happy that this opportunity presented itself so his influence could grow.
And to be frank, the TV Demon is quite charming in his own right. Even if he tried to remain professional, Valentino hasn't missed the light snow that ended up decorating Vox's cheeks when he saw his work.
"You know, I could show you the quality of my products~ If you want."
"Uhh.... There's no need. I've already seen the quality you can give so it's unnecessary"
"Hm... Well, if you say so~"
"How about me? Not offering your services?" He grimaces.
"Hm... No thanks. I have the feeling you wouldn't enjoy my products~"
None of these fossils would know Asexuality exists or at least its label, but Valentino would still get the vibe.
