I've written for quite a lot of fandoms but I think currently I'm only writing for One Piece and Black Butler. I used to write quite a bit for my hero academia, but the hyperfixation passed a long time ago. And I think no matter how much time passes I'll always be up for writing for detective conan/magic kaito.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I used to, but I don't anymore. I can take things very personally and I'd posted a fic where someone didn't agree with my characterisation of one of the characters and told me this in the comments. I didn't take it well and argued with them, and now that kind of embarrasses me (though, tbh I'd be embarrassed myself if I commented on someone's fic without being asked for feedback in a way that was critical to their approach to a character. Sometimes fanfic just isn't for you and you should leave others alone and let them do their thing).

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

it's probably The Stranger (Mob Psycho 100 fic)

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

hmmm i mean, the thing is, my fics rarely end. so i don't really know...

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I got a proper hate comment once. it was really funny. they didn't mention anything critical of my writing and just told me it was shit and that i'm too old to write like that (i doubt they knew hold old i am?? i don't put my age online anymore). i assume i made them mad on tumblr so they decided to try and make my day bad?? but i just found it funny.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

No. Sometimes I think it would be fun to write smut just to try something new but then I realise I don't enjoy writing about sex and don't have any ideas unless they're funny crack treated seriously ones.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

@aobawilliams and I have a shared bnha/detective conan crossover we were planning to write maybe a couple years agonow. we never got round to it tho cause aha writing hard :')

i did have a dream where ciel phantomhive got yeeted into the one piece world tho and that was fun. only problem is i think it'd be VERY hard to write something like that. very funny tho. he would hate every second of his forced one piece holiday

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of.

I think I've had a couple people pop up in dms to ask to translate my fics before. I've never seen the supposed translated fics tho (not that I'd be able to read them).

aoba and I have several co-owned wips that likely won't ever see the light of day cause writing is hard and we are very very tired.

I don't really have a favourite. I just have ones I think are funny or interesting to explore.

I have this very old very embarrassing memory of writing tsubasa chronicle/tokyo babylon crossover fanfic for my english class homework as an 11 or 12 year old. i think they got ice cream.

I'm not sure. Maybe The Ceiling of the World (black butler) just cause I've wanted to write black butler fanfic for years and never finished any other wip. Otherwise it'd probably be one of the bnha wips I never finished (there was this time travel one that made me go insane. now that I'm thinking about it I REALLY need to finish it) and uploaded or Permanent Membership Guaranteed (bnha)

Fandom: Criminal Minds

Characters: Aaron Hotchner, Derek Morgan

Words: 1857 (wtf I thought it would be like 700-900)

HIII, I BECAME OBSESSED W CRIMINAL MINDS SO HERE WE GOO; I couldn’t find enough tickle fluff w Hotch so I wrote it myself:))),, also it happens like in the middle of s2, when emily had joined the team but Haley and Hotch are still together;; also ITS NOT A SHIP FIC BETWEEN HOTCH AND DEREK (also on AO3)

Aaron Hotchner

A man who never smiles or laughs, everybody knows it, but nobody can do anything about it. Not even himself

“..and she said WHAT” Morgan said, finishing his joke, smiling when it earned him a few chuckles from the people who sat near him. JJ who was sitting on the other side of the plane gave him thumbs up, and even Reid cracked a smile. But his gaze stopped at Hotch who was looking at some file, he looked calm, but it was only at the first sight. Morgan could see how he bit inside of his cheek to keep himself from smiling. One question, why?

Sometimes he allowed himself to crack a smile in front of everyone, but he also took the part of a stoic leader too close to his heart; or at least the team thinks this way

There were moments when they were playing cards, or sitting at the office. There were moments when he smiled or even laughed. But they were so small and so quick, almost invisible. At some point everybody knew that they can’t influent on this but on the other hand, every-time he smiled or even chuckled, it just felt so.. complete

For a few days Derek kept in mind this, everything. He started to notice how Hotch could say something with a straight face, but the second he turns the back to his coworkers he smirks. There were questions that nobody asked, back in his head. There could be some deep dialogue between them, but Derek knew when the time would come, plus it’s not like he doesn’t have any work to do

Team decided to go to the club bar, take a break eventually. Everyone was there except for Gideon who decided to spend his time in the woods by himself

“Have you ever noticed how he never smiles?” Derek’s voice rang through the bar, quiet enough for nobody to hear him clearly, but loud enough for people around him to understand what he meant. He furrowed his brows a bit, and turned his head to his fellow teammates

“Really not sure about it, maybe.. sometimes?” Prentiss responded with a small smile, taking a sip of her beer and looking at another person who was sitting on the other side of her

“Well, I saw him doing it a few times for sure, so he is not immune to smiling” Reid said, his gaze stopped at something in the background, so he looked like he was hypnotised for a few seconds “Actually have you ever know that an average adult laughs only 17 times a day while a child laughs about 300 times a day”

“Well I’m not sure that the fact that he never smiles has to do something with his age” Morgan said, taking a sip of his drink

JJ at the same time was chatting with some guys from the bar and playing games with them while Penelope was dancing in the middle of the dance floor like she was the only one there, showing everyone who is their daddy

Prentiss looked at Garcia a few times before she finished her beer and looked at two men on each side of her

“Sorry, but I just have to join her” she grinned, looking at the blond girl again

“Take Reid with you, maybe you can teach him some dance moves” Morgan chuckled, and quirked an eyebrow at the younger male next to him

“Nononohono, I’m not good at this— please Morgan don’t do this” Spencer giggled through sentence and even if he was serious, Derek saw a smile creeping onto his face as Prentiss took his hand and pulled him further on the dance floor. He glanced at Morgan the last time until disappeared in the crowd

Morgan smiled to himself and looked in the Hotch’s direction. He was sitting in the corner, on the sofa next to Haley, bit drunk, so his usually serious facial features melted in something more human

Derek took his drink and danced up to their table, felling the rhythm in his ears. The pair turned his head to him, offering him a seat in front of them.

“You like my dance moves?” Morgan said with a grin plastered on his face

“Very much so” “Don’t think I’m the right person to answer this” Haley and Hotch said at the same time. Even though the Aaron’s comment wasn’t very welcoming, there were no venom in his words, he just simply smiled afterwards and took a sip of his drink.

“Hey, don’t be mean” Haley said, poking her husband’s side, making him to flinch and slightly choke on his drink

“Don’t—” he was cut off by another poke, making him jerk away now as he took a napkin to clean his lips and chin from a mess

“Yo, what was that?” Morgan smiled, his eyes were running from Haley to Hotch every second until he got an answer

“You don’t know? He’s ticklish, I though maybe someone knew, especially you” Hailey smirked, looking at Aaron who choked on his drunk again, but now, all by himself “He usually doesn’t smile, so this is one and only way to make him; because he doesn’t have a sense of humour either” she whispered the last part, earning a sigh from her husband

“No way man, is this real?” Derek’s eyes were lit up by a second, he looked like he just found a golden ticket

“Don’t even think about it” his boss’s voice was something between serious, amusing and terrified about the fact that his wife just announced

“What’s his worst spots?” Morgan tried to keep a conversation in this topic, smirking at Hotch whose eyes just widened when he heard woman respond to this question effortlessly

“Well, if I’m not wrong it’s his sides, ribs and maybe knees—” she tried to tell Derek most of it, knowing what’s his plan was already until she was cutoff by her husband himself, elbowing her in the side

“..actually if you got him laughing, every spot would work, especially when he’s drunk” she whispered and winked to a man infront of her until she was shushed again

“Don’t listen to her” Hotch replied, looking dead serious at his wife and then at Derek

Phone on the table rang, taking everyone attention, making them forget about a new discovery (happily for Hotch)

“Give me a few minutes” Haley picked up the phone and smirked at Morgan before she stood up, ready to answer the call “I’m also going to take more drinks” were the last words she said until she drowned in the crowd of people

Silence froze in the air for a second before they made an eye contact, dark eyes full of mischief met slightly widened, tensed eyes of another man

Morgan thought about it for a split second before thinking “ah, fuck it” and moving on the previously Haley’s seat, next to Hotch

“So how’s— how is Jack doing?” Derek asked, trying to make a conversation but Aaron could hear fake innocence in his voice. He squinted his eyes at him for a few moments until trusting him that he is a grown man who wouldn’t do something so childish.. or would he?

“He is alright like always” Hotch said, but being tipsy didn’t mean being blind. He saw Morgan’s hand trying to poke him in the same spot Haley did, and he immediately caught Derek’s hand, trying to put it away

“So you really is ticklish if you are so scared of me poking you”

“I’m not, and you are being ridiculous” Hotch said with a slight smile on his face; maybe it was alcohol, maybe it was just his mischievous side. Derek couldn’t tell

Morgan didn’t waste any time, moving his second hand fast enough to make a contact with Hotch’s side, earning a sound which sounded like a stiffed giggle. He let go of Morgan’s hand (big mistake), trying to protect his torso

And now younger man used his both hands to dig into Hotch’s sides earning new sounds that his boss tried so hard to muffle

“Come on man, relax. You know that you want to laugh, it’s been a rough week—” Derek even didn’t finish his sentence when Aaron’s facade broke into small pieces. He tried to curl up, mouth slightly opened and small chuckles and giggles filled the air

“Stohohop Mohorgahan” despite how much he tried to wipe off the smile on his face he couldn’t. Usually he could turn off his sensitivity, usually but not now

“This is gold” Morgan chuckled, moving his hands up, now going for his ribs. Aaron tried to push off his hands but he felt how useless his arms became, everything he could do is just to hold on to Morgan, desperately trying to push him away

His giggling turned into pure laughter when he felt knuckles being rubbed into his lower ribs. Hotch uncurled and tried to back off, hitting the wall with his back. He threw his head back and tried to cover his mouth with one hand, so other people couldn’t hear him

“dEHERehek” Aaron tried to make him stop verbally and furrowed his brows to sound more intimidating and serious, but a rare smile on his face ruined the whole picture

“You should laugh more often Hotch, it wouldn’t mean that you are less professional, and honestly it’s like the first time I see you like this” and it was true. Aaron couldn’t remember himself when he expressed his joy with more that a chuckle

“..and you have nice laugh by the way” Morgan teased, grinning like a Cheshire cat and looked at his boss; eyes closed shut, smile baring all his teeth and his laugh. Well it was hard to tell because nobody has ever heard him laugh like this. It was so high-pitched comparing to his voice and but on the other hand it even suited him in some way

At some point Derek just started to laugh with Hotch, maybe he didn’t even notice that

“What did Haley said was a good spot, knees?” Morgan let go of Hotch’s torso, and squeezed both of his knees, earning a snort

“Yohuhu thIHINK YOuhu arEHE BEHEteher thahan mehehe? Aaron laughed, putting all his strength into digging into Derek sides which made him to back off

“Hehey!” Morgan stopped, pulling his hands to protect himself

“Yohohu wihil NEVER speak of thihis” even when tickling stopped, a huge grin was still plastered on Hotch’s face. He let out a few giggles until sitting straight and elbowing Morgan in the side

“I won’t, cross my heart and stuff” Derek joked, earning rolled eyes from his boss. It was refreshing to see him like this not gonna lie

Haley came back almost immediately after everything finished, but by a sparkle in both of their eyes she could tell, she just knew

Maybe, just maybe Hotch wasn’t “that” drunk, maybe he could shove Morgan far enough so he wouldn’t reach him, maybe he could fight back, or maybe he just needed that laugh. I guess we’ll never know

made this last night for valentines day💞 more thoughts below

this valentine's day was bittersweet for me as i had a lot of uncomfortable emotions, but i think it was for the better that i confronted them.

not long ago, men really, really scared me. to the degree that i would become angry just by seeing one. i was in a toxic community that confirmed my fears and i tried to change my sexuality so that i wouldn't be attracted to them anymore.

i had just decided to finally leave this community that had a hold on me for so long when i came back to the PO fandom.

there is no reason why mr. sandman should have appealed to me. his features represented everything i found threatening and abberant in the human race - his imposing stature, strong jaw, booming voice, protruding brow, large hands and feet, five o'clock shadow burgeoning from his face devoid of softness.

in other words, his "maleness" - which in itself is a culturally bound, cisnormative concept.

mr. sandman was a one-dimensional caricature that represented every man in my mind; having a voracious hunger for senseless violence and domination that can never be satisfied, laughing while watching someone weaker bleed out on the ground.

and yet, i enjoyed him vicariously through shipping canon characters and drawing him with a full spectrum of emotion; sadness, gentleness, and vulnerability included.

these thoughts bothered me endlessly. what if he had a capacity for love, a humanity that nobody could see on the surface? a desire to use those big hands to protect out of devotion, not patriarchal possessiveness? a surprisingly forward-thinking worldview rooted in healthy masculinity?

it started out small; imagining that Maybe, just Maybe, he wouldn't laugh when I'm hurting. maybe he'd even comfort me, scooping me up in those huge arms, a powerhouse turned shelter.

and as i continued to make self insert art and writings, i felt myself getting a little bit closer to healing. i still have a long way to go, and a real therapist - god knows love can't cure deep-seated traumas.

but in the meantime, it can carry you and keep you warm.

i've been asking people in my life about the definition of love, and it seems that there are as many definitions as there are people. but it tends to boil down to two main components: it's a working relationship, and it perseveres through the darkness, within reason, of course.

it's not two or three or five or ten perfect beautiful people coming together who will drop the other at the sign of imperfection. and yet, loving someone means always expecting better and challenging the other to improve.

you can call me crazy, but that's exactly what loving darius "mr. sandman" has helped me do in many ways both tangible and non. and my therapist thinks it's incredible and healthy, concern trolls be darned :P

you know what. oc brain rot time. I do have a lot of OCs, most of whom will never see the light of day because they exist exclusively in stories not meant for others to experience (as they are meant for me to tell myself as I fall asleep at night). A lot of them I pair together because 🍾yuri 🍾but like I don't usually imagine most of the pairings I have going past kissing. And then I have one pair between two characters who have been repurposed and modified like 3 times, but are currently in DnD or other TTRPG with similar setting mode, they are called Atsuko (elven wizard who was asked if they follow any religion and very reasonably answered "give me a second to decide" and then realized they needed to know all of the options to decide and is now writing an encyclopedia with everything they can learn about every religion), and Chiyo (a fae Atsuko formed a contract with out of mutual benefit) and they have taken up like. All of the shipping energy in my brain. They come back into my brain at least once a week and I wish they weren't OCs and were more popular because I want people to like them without having to explain why they should. My friends and people on tumblr could just watch two people insist they are just two participants in a contract while traveling together for decades (and also Chiyo homoerotically drinks blood), with just each other for company and having a great time doing it. These fuckers got married first and then fell in love and then became friends and also Chiyo is half way to being a vampire (she isn't, I don't have a name for what she is but she does drink blood). TLDR: The curse of OCs is you have to make the content for them and I have fuckers in my head I know people would love but it requires me to make content for them

Hi! I’m Lilly, yes like that one but with two ls in the middle instead of one (I guess you can tell I’d say marauders era from the reference but yeah, HP fandoms, marauders era <3)

I’m 5’3, lean and I’m relatively tan (I guess olive would work) , I have big brown eyes (almost black), a small nose and very nice lips. Kinda pretty I’ve been told. I swear I must sound so pretentious I can’t describe myself ugdjhdhd. Oh my hair’s dark brown, with caramel lights, it was red like a month ago, red hair is everything, but bleaching was ruining my hair so I went back to brown.

Personality tho, that’s waaay easier. Maybe. I’m a gryffindor, I’m friendly, tho I can be shy in some situations, I’m an ambivert (yeah, we exist), I’m bi/pan, guess male leaning but not that much. Best of both worlds ey? MBTI can’t decide if I’m INTP, ENTP, INTJ or ENTJ, so I guess that’s something. I’m very open with my likes and dislikes but I keep everything emotional very bottled up. Have you seen Dean Winchester? Like that.

I like learning, but in a casual I like to know things kinda way instead of a I study really hard every day way. I am really self sufficient, or at least I try to be, asking for help is kinda hard, which is why I try to do everything myself. One time I asked my friends to tell me which marvel characters I was like and the most mentioned were; doctor strange, Spidey and Wanda Maximoff. My friends say I’m cottagecore/regencycore, which I guess I might be because I like pretty dresses but I’m also that girl that likes to put on a lot of male cosplays and absolutely loves punk rock / cyber punk fashion so I guess I don’t make sense.

I was a ballet dancer, I like learning languages too, it’s fun to understand and learn about different cultures of the world. I like movies and tv shows and reading. I just love stories in general I guess. I like fantasy (medieval stuff), sci-fi and horror (not horror movies but yes ghost paranormal stuff / hence I love supernatural). Huge fan of Peter Pan as well, not sure why that matters but yeah, it’s core personality trait I guess. Merida is my fav Disney princess, I suppose that may say a lot of my personality as well.

And I feel like I’m writing to much, I’m sorry. Anyway, congratulations for this mile stone, I’m sure there’ll be many more to come 💗

i ship you with sirius! he would def help you dye your hair, it would be like a bonding thing for you guys. he would be so excited and don't even get me started on how much he would play with your hair. like sirius is so handsy and to me it just makes sense that he would constantly be braiding it, or playing with it, or even smelling it because he's the type of guy whos attracted to shampoo scents and perfume i think?? thats just a weird little personal hc of mine tho. as for your ambivert thing, it would probably take him a little time to learn how to read you but as soon as he notices you're shy in a situation, he's slipping his hand into your back jean pocket and involving you in the conversation, just finding little things like that to put you more at ease (even if it just makes you blush). obviously he's a bit of a party animal but if you're ever feeling shy he'll make up an excuse to get the both of you out of it.

sirius is no stranger to bottling up feelings, but i think he would really try and make an effort to communicate more, especially if you both were struggling with it. you would both sort of create a healthy dynamic where you actually talk about stuff, and it would take time, but eventually he'd open up about his childhood.

i also think your aesthetics would also match really well, sirius would definitely hype you up no matter which style you were going for and he would constantly just compliment you. he'd definitely love to match but he would also be so in awe of you no matter what you're wearing.

he would also probably tease your for wanting to learn new languages and stuff but i'm positive it would be just for attention because he's literally a lovesick puppy (pun intended). i feel like he'd also be so obsessed with the fact that you used to do ballet?? like he's just constantly in awe whenever you bust out an old move and he wants you to do it again😭

I like learning, but in a casual I like to know things kinda way instead of a I study really hard every day way. I am really self sufficient, or at least I try to be, asking for help is kinda hard, which is why I try to do everything myself. One time I asked my friends to tell me which marvel characters I was like and the most mentioned were; doctor strange, Spidey and Wanda Maximoff. My friends say I’m cottagecore/princesscore, which I guess I might be because I like pretty dresses but I’m also that girl that likes to put on a lot of boy cosplays and absolutely loves punk rock / cyber punk fashion so I guess I don’t make sense.

I was a ballet dancer, I like learning languages too, it’s fun to understand and learn about different cultures of the world. I like movies and tv shows and reading. I just love stories I guess. I like fantasy (medieval stuff), sci-fi and horror (not horror movies but yes ghost paranormal stuff / hence I love supernatural). What if Goku and Adell swapped? (Goku’s side)

((Hee ho dood! Prinnyfrost reporting for duty! Yeah, I’m not going to lie, this is something that’s been on my mind for...a while now. As the title suggests, what if Adell from Disgaea traded places with Goku from the Dragonball series. The reason why it came to my mind is because as I stated before, NIS enjoys making their own parody versions of characters in their games like Melodia from Disgaea 6 being a Disney Princess or Captain Gordon being a classic comic/Saturday morning cartoon hero. And Adell, the main character of Disgaea 2, falls under this category, as he’s specifically meant to be NIS’s take on a Shonen protagonist. A humble hero with mysterious origins set on a journey turning him into one of the most powerful characters in the world. While it’s never been specified, I do personally believe that Adell is most likely based off of Goku from Dragonball. I’ve already summed up their similarities before in a VERY old post that you guys can check out here, but to sum up, they’re both talented martial artists who came from other planets before landing on a human world as infants and grew up to fight against powerful opponents. But what if things were different? What if their ships somehow...swapped and they were sent to each other’s worlds?

I was so puzzled by this thought that I even asked MasakoX this over on one of his live streams a few months ago. Unfortunately as I somewhat expected, he never played Disgaea 2 before and thus couldn’t really answer the question. So I guess I gotta fend for myself on this one. It’s alright Masako, it’s not your fault. You’re a cool guy. Now, I was thinking about doing an actual story for this, but I ultimately decided against it, preferring to stick with just possibly summarize all the overall changes that I think would happen in each of their stories. If you want me to make actual AU stories from this later on down the line, feel free to let me know so it’ll be something to keep in mind in the future.

Let’s start things off with how Goku would be in Veldime. Starting off before the events of Disgaea 2, I imagine he would be taken in and adopted by the same foster family who’s looking after Adell. Probably feeling sorry for the poor thing after suddenly crash landing right nearby their home in his own. And at this point, the couple don’t have their own kids yet, so what’s the harm? Like in the original story, Goku starts off rather...aggressive, making a mess of everything. And in case you’re wondering if he hits his head as well...yeah that happened. One day, his new dad decided to pick up Goku for a bit until he was caught by surprise and drops Goku on a rock. Oops. At least he’s not a mean boy anymore. Like with Adell, Goku would soon get attached to the family throughout the years even after Zenon curses the planet, turning everyone into monsters. I’m not sure if the curse affects saiyans, but for the sake of the story, I’ll just say that it doesn’t. His relationship with Taro and Hanako would be similar to Adell’s as he would often play with the two of them whenever he’s not out fighting looking for Zenon. I’m not entirely sure if Taro is actually going to respect Goku this time around, but Hanako would definitely admire him like she did Adell because Goku isn’t picking on her like other big brothers in other families. Hanako would even try to get Goku to let her join in on his search for Zenon and while he probably would...their parents aren’t so keen on the idea, thinking she’ll just get in his way.

Now when it comes to demon hunting itself, this is where we have a problem. For those who aren’t aware, according to Etna in the beginning of Disgaea D2, demons on average are around star buster levels of power and Goku starting off is barely above the power level of...2. Yeah, once again for the sake of the story, I’m not going to have him killed off before the main plot even starts. That doesn’t mean he’s going to win every fight. FAR from it. He’s taking L after L after L practically every time he sets out to look for clues to fighting Zenon or even at least trying to help someone in need. On the plus side, this means he’s getting some MASSIVE zenkai boosts from it. One of these Ls in particular comes from a succubus named Eleanor who tricked Goku by offering more information on Zenon...only to realize that the price was his soul. Like Adell he barely escaped with his life, as the assault costed him his tail, meaning no mighty Ozaru form in this story. As time goes on, he does indeed get strong enough to fight the demons all the way up to when his foster mother gets fed up with waiting and decides to summon Zenon. Before we get into that, there’s one more thing that needs to be discussed and that’s Goku’s techniques. In Dragonball, practically all of Goku’s moves were stuff he learned from other people and not so much his own original attacks, and none of those people are anywhere near this planet except arguably the kais. Even the iconic Kamehameha is something he learned from Master Roshi so he’s not getting these skills in this timeline.

I will be nice and at least make his ultimate attack that he learns at 50 in the game will be the Dragon fist as most fans can agree that this is his own original skill. As for everything else, the only thing I can think of would be for him to learn the Ultimate Demon Technique. While the canonicity of Disgaea RPG is up for debate, there are some details in that mobile game that does help broaden the lore a bit, some of which that can be used to help these what if stories to some degree. In this case, it’s that Zeroken ended up making videos teaching at least some of the basics of learning the Ultimate Demon Technique in order to better expand the amount of people that can learn it. And the styles can be adjusted from person to person if they’re skilled enough. Etna’s Sexy Beam, according to the mobile game, is based off of the Ultimate Demon Technique. Goku may not be a demon, but his is a talented fighter and a fast learner, so it’s not really hard to say that he would be able to pick up a few things after watching a few videos on it.

Now we finally get to Rozalin being summoned and like before, they’re stuck together as Goku doesn’t want to give up his life even though he would be willing to set her free otherwise. Not so much as not wanting to be around a girl, but more on how it just felt wrong to have a hostage. That being said, their relationship still starts off rocky. It’s not AS bad given Goku’s more relaxed and carefree nature in comparison to Adell’s stubbornness, but that doesn’t change the fact that Rozalin sees him as an idiotic buffoon who’s trying to kill his dad and needs to be eliminated as soon as possible.

This means that Rozalin still tricks Goku into fighting Axel when he’s hosting his travel show and Axel is falsely announced dead. Basically the first 2 chapters pretty much play out the same as they did in the original, including when Tink joins the party, as well as Goku promising to keep Rozalin safe. The end of Chapter 3 is where things start to differ as this is where the group meets Demon Lord Etna.

Like before, Etna demands Rozalin to take her to see Zenon, but was not only denied, but also insulted. This ensues a fight between Goku and Etna and even with all those zenkai boosts he got throughout his entire life, he’s still getting thrashed. As much as I don’t like Etna in this game personally, I can not for the life of me agree that Goku will walk with a win here...or does he? After being beaten badly by Etna, suffering yet another defeat after finally getting stronger, he realizes that it’s still not enough to help. Not himself, not his family, not anyone. And Rozalin is about to die even after he promised to look after her. Suddenly, a bit of rage starts to build inside Goku and just as when Etna was ready to make another attack, Goku lets out a huge scream. His power surges and his hair turns golden.

That’s right. In this story, Goku turns Super Saiyan for the first time around 17/18 years old instead of as a full grown adult. But why so early? Well, I honestly can’t think of a better scenario for him to get in this story aside from this moment. Plus I like the idea of what happens next. This power catches Etna’s attention. Still feeling confident, she gets ready for round 2 of putting this weird yellow blonde guy into the ground, only for a pissed off Goku to ROCK! HER! SHIT!!! Yeah, Etna’s getting decimated this time. Even after she does a last resort and tries to pull a Freeza and uses her Chaos Impact to destroy the planet, Goku counters it with his Lion’s Roar, which is the closest thing to the Kamehameha as he’s going to get in this story. This sends Etna flying off planet, I’m talking straight into outer space and oh boy, she’s going to be pissed when she gets free. For now, after winning the battle, Goku powers down into his base and immediately collapses. A concerned Rozalin makes Tink help carry him back to the house so he can recover.

When he finally wakes up, he asked Rozalin, who’s been tending to him this whole time, what happened, as he doesn’t remember anything and both her and Tink explained how he practically beat up Etna after getting mad and his hair color changed. When Rozalin asked Goku if he’s really a human, since she has never heard of human doing this before, he just...shrugs. Not only did he probably think he was turning into a demon too because of the curse in Veldime, but his foster parents don’t even remember where they found Goku due to the curse. Yet despite that, he appreciates everything they have done for him over the years and to him, it’s enough to be considered...family. Hearing that gets Rozalin to finally confess that she has never actually met her father before and this whole time, she’s been lying to him, dragging around a wild goose chase, but he has no ill will toward her. He’s grown quite fond of having her around these past few days. The next two chapters pretty much play out normally aside from Goku trying to get a hold of an understand that sudden burst of power he felt while fighting Etna, thinking that it could be useful later on. He taps into it again when a Baciel shows up in the cavern of evil, as Goku’s afraid that it’s going to kill Taro. This time, Goku doesn’t pass out from it since the battle wasn’t as long and he has gotten stronger than before, but he still can’t control it fully.

And for anyone wondering about that flute, while it may exist in this story, they don’t get it at this point since Selion isn’t around to give it to them. When they get to the tournament and finally meet up with Etna again, she plays it off at first thinking that it’s so nice to see them again, when in reality, she’s absolutely livid. She knew if she showed up to the tournament, she would run into them again, and this time, instead of entering the prinnies and asking them to take a dive, she enters herself, not caring AT ALL if all of her opponents run off scared, only focusing on getting payback against Goku and killing Overlord Zenon. The rest of the tournament play out as usual until round 3 with one subtle difference. When they face Eleanor and Rozalin asks Goku how they know each other, Goku just straight up tells her that she almost killed him as a kid and took his tail. Rozalin had to pause for a moment after hearing that Goku used to have a tail, but at least she’s in the know now. When they finally reach Etna in round 6, Goku demands to face her on his own, letting that inner saiyan nature kick in. As much as I want to give Goku the win, I think I’m going to have to call it a draw this time as Goku’s still not used to the super saiyan power yet. Unsatisfied and still a little pissed, Etna just call it quits and just tell the judge to let Goku move on instead, plotting to follow them around when they win and go on their way to meet Zenon in person. The rest of the tournament play out as normal, even where Goku stops Yukimaru from committing seppuku after losing to the group, telling her to keep trying and not to give up. And like before, this combined with Yukimaru being attracted to Goku’s manliness and smell joins the party after swearing her blade to him. This time around, when Axel loses again, Rozalin tells him to follow them around with a hidden camera to record Zenon in order to prove he’s still alive, but Goku goes along with it anyway, feeling bad for the guy.

Pretty much the rest of the story goes the same as it does in the original Disgaea 2 with Etna stepping in to fight Zenon, Axel is declared alive, Etna gives the group a fake nail resulting in her losing her power and forcing herself into the group, ect. All the way up until they face Laharl in the Shinra Tower. Goku may not be as smart as Adell when it comes to solving puzzles, but if you give him a bit, he’ll probably figure it out, which would still be enough to impress Old Man Geo enough to invite him to the Shinra Tower. Unfortunately, even with the super saiyan and a better understanding of its power, Goku is still no match for the kid overlord. Naturally, Etna bitches about how Goku can whoop her ass earlier like it was nothing, but struggle against Laharl. So yeah, when Rozalin stands up for Etna, her seal gets damaged like in the original and the real Zenon comes out to send Laharl packing. Unlike before, where Adell slaps Rozalin to wake her up, Goku’s inner saiyan kicks in again and decides...he wants to try it out himself. Though at this point the both of them are equally exhausted from their fight with Laharl so even though Rozalin was totally winning, they both end up passing out.

Now this is where things get interesting. Instead of everyone keeping quiet about what happened until near the final battle, when Rozalin wakes up, Goku excitedly explained her fight with Laharl, that like him, she tapped into some hidden power and mopped the floor with him. Rozalin was shocked and scared at first because of how dark and uncontrollable this power was, but Goku points out that’s exactly how it was like for him when he first tapped into his power. Instead of letting Rozalin stay afraid of it, Goku tries to encourage Rozalin to train with him so they can figure out their hidden abilities together. She’s reluctant at first but Goku gives her the extra push it needs, basically telling her that she doesn’t have to go through it alone. He’ll be with her every step of the way and they would be better for it. And here’s where I finally talk about their relationship overall. If you’re thinking about these two becoming a couple at the end of the story, then I hate to break it to you. Even in this timeline, it’s doubtful Goku’s all that knowledgeable when it comes to stuff like romance and unlike Chi Chi in dragonball, Rozalin’s smart enough to figure this out, likely understanding that they probably see each other as highly valued companions and nothing further than that. I’m not saying it’s not at all possible for them to end up dating, but the chances are slim, especially if Tink and Taro manage to catch on the lack of romantic tendencies between the two and try to see if either of them can get with Rozalin instead. It’s honestly more likely that Goku would end up with either Yukimaru, because she’s attracted to manly men, or something that might really get your attention...Overlord Priere.

Yeah, remember, Priere’s encounter with Adell and Rozalin is deemed canon. Though technically the stage itself is only available for certain chapters in the game, it’s likely the encounter itself takes place in post game. Both Goku and Priere would be attracted to their power and love for a good fight, and this Priere no longer has a boyfriend as I have theorized before that she might be looking a little lonely. Also, unlike Caulifla, who for some reason, lots of people want to ship with Goku, these two are actually around the same age in this timeline. That being said, this isn’t a guaranteed result either because of one thing. Even in her overlord form. Priere is a matchmaker. There is a chance she would notice how important Rozalin would be to Goku and she would encourage them to get together in the end. This is the same Priere who supported Adell’s relationship with Rozalin and also scolds Valvatorez for not getting his act together with Artina as shown in Disgaea 5.

In the end, Rozalin does hesitantly agree to train with Goku if it means to better understand herself and her powers so it can be used more positively. For that, I’m going to give them a bit more time before the semi final chapter where Axel reveals the fake Zenon’s location. At that point, Rozalin isn’t in full control of herself and her memories are still sealed, but she does feel more at ease than she did in the original. Even when she brings up her concerns privately with Goku, he reassures her that everything is going to be alright. Yeah Rozalin can tell that Goku doesn’t really have a plan in case something goes wrong, but his confidence alone is enough to help her relax at least a little. The story plays out normally minus the Shura and Selion fight because...they’re not here in this timeline until the finale where Rozalin breaks the seal, regains her memories, and kills the fake overlord. Everyone, even Goku tries to talk to her, but she keeps stating that she’s a being of solitude. In the end, Goku powers up to super saiyan as he’s finally at a point where he can control it, but he doesn’t do so he can fight her. Like Adell in the original, he slowly walks up to her, only this time, Rozalin doesn’t just strike him once. He takes blow after blow after blow, until she couldn’t bring herself to attack anymore, but Goku keeps moving forward, reminding her that she’s not alone.

Goku holds out his hand and gives her that goofy smile that she’s so used to during their time together. Finally calming down, Rozalin calls Goku and idiot as she hugs him and starts crying. Goku just pats her, telling her to let it all out, thus ending the story.

But what about the saiyan saga and what not? Won’t Raditz land on Veldime as he was tasked with looking for his brother? Yeah, but that’s not going to happen until he’s a fully grown adult, which is many years later from this point in time. Even when that happens, you can basically sum it up with, Radtiz getting badly beaten because he’s a coward and will resort to escape tactics if things fly south, and both Nappa and Vegeta end up dead. Let me put it this way, at this point, even Hanako will be able to mop the floor with Vegeta. They’re not surviving this encounter. Also since Veldime doesn’t have dragonballs, the Namek saga is non existent. So yeah, this is where it ends. So what do you guys think about this timeline? Do you prefer this to the original Disgaea 2? Do you think Goku and Rozalin should be a couple after all or do you prefer the other two options I listed? 2. talk about a notable time a narrative or character has looked you dead in the eyes and said “fuck your plan, here’s what we’re actually doing.”

I don't know if I have that many times where it's happened like this, but one that did have it happen is in my fic Iron Coin Chronicles Season 1. A core idea of the fic from the start was that Faith wasn't going to go evil. But I did still want to write the reason of Buffy Season 3 close enough to the canon that there needed to be someone in the Scoobies who worked for the Mayor. So I decided to prevent Amy from being turned into a rat, and then have her end up falling down a path to evil, manipulated by the Mayor, while also having her hang with the Scoobies more.

Instead, in the second appearance of her in the fic (the chapter that was supposed to be her start of Darkness, I got really into her dynamic with Faith - their similarities and the way it might play out between them and that rapidly progressed into me wanting to ship them together, which rewrote the rest of the Season (sorta) and them getting together and falling in love became a major sideplot of Season 2. And went on to be planned to be a major part of the rest of the plans for the series, though I ended up abandoning ICC-verse before going all the way with my plans for Faith/Amy.

4. what is the plot bunny you’ve been carrying for the longest? optional bonus question: do you ever wonder why you haven’t written it yet and experience deep existential dread?

I mean, there are ideas that I had a long time ago that I still technically know and could write, but I wouldn't say I've carried them all this time, because I'm not all that into them anymore. And there's ideas I've wanted to write for a while, but they're not really a full on plot yet, because they're more just 'I want a fic with X trope and Y pairing' or something along those lines, but I haven't sat down and worked them out.

Allowing for that, I suppose the closest thing that would be an answer to this would be my recurring idea on a fic where I write a Halloween Fic for Xander in Buffy (YAHF as it's known, is a common theme where the characters get dressed up as someone different than in canon for the Halloween episode in Buffy Season 2, and some effects linger, as they did a bit in canon). I wanted to write it to avoid common pitfalls in the genre. These days, I also want to combine it with a desire for genderbending Xander, which Is also a trope I love. I don't really feel existential dread - I know why I shied away from it. One, trouble with a satisfactory plot, two, concerned I couldn't do it justice (though I don't really hold to that anymore) and most importantly, unsure what the hell to have Xander (or others) to dress up as that suits what I want. Every now and then I get an idea, or part of one, but I always rethink it. And right now, I hardly have the time for more fics so.

Many. It does varry, but write now, not counting original ideas I really should be working on more, I'm currently in the midst of 6 different fics, which isn't completely atypical though it is more than historically common, and also working on a 7th very intermittently and I have serious groundwork done on 2 others ideas that I want to start but I DON'T HAVE THE FUCKING TIME. :sob:

Yes. Many. Too many to list here. How lego chima indirectly saved my art career.

Heya. I know this is a bit of an odd post, I’ve literally typed all this out on a google document but I think that shows how serious I’m going to be taking this topic. I genuinely believe that Lego Legends of Chima did in fact sorta revitalise my art career when I was at my lowest but to explain that I’ve first got to explain why I started my art instagram back in 2021 and what happened leading up to me joining the fandom.

Back in 2021, during the dreaded lockdown that we all probably remember, I was incredibly bored one day and decided to draw a character based on this fangan (which to those who know what it is, it’s basically a fan-made danganronpa story.), I had done one piece before but it was shit and I hated it and in 2023 I took that down. That’s beside the point though what matters was that that’s where I truly started, doing fanart for stuff I cared about. But in 2023 I was hit with a road-block. Those who know what I’m talking about next know how much it affected me but basically my art teacher who I had in year 10 left my school. I knew for a while since she accidentally shared her retirement letter to me but I think she left for a different reason. Anyways, her replacement was this horrible guy who genuinely gave me panic attacks because I was afraid of him, the way he shouted and all. If you want me to exemplify how different these two teachers were, my year 10 art teacher loved whatever her pupils drew and inspired multiple of us to draw what we liked but with my year 11 art teacher he only got us to draw what he wanted us to draw and instilled fear into us all really. But that’s besides the point. What matters here is that he got me to draw stuff I wasn’t used to because I normally draw humans and characters but he got me to draw objects and turn them into spaceships which whilst decent wasn’t what I was used to drawing (which after my Art GCSE I haven’t done since). This caused me a massive art block because even though I was still doing and posting art I began to question myself if it was even worth it to continue doing art on instagram at all. Even though I was coming up with new ideas I never really went through with them because of this block and question.

On March 4th of 2023, I remembered Lego Chima due to finding the old vita game and asked a group chat I was in at the time if anyone remembered it. One person did and this sort of inspired me to go look for it, and even though it took ages I did eventually find it and sat through the first episode. In the exact words of the message I put “That first episode was a fuckin’ doozy- Like it was good but like- wtf was Cragger thinking-” “I gen hope it gets better” which it sorta did for me? I started watching it in an ironic sense, the sense that “it’s so bad it’s good” sort of way. Now keep this in-mind for later, it isn’t a secret that I ship Sans and Grillby I have done for ages now but when it came to chima I sort of latched on to Laval and Cragger being a pairing. Anyways, the further I got into the show the more I became obsessed with it and I think I fully realised I had inadvertently joined the fandom by like Season 1 Episode 8, let me explain what happened to the best of my memory. Normally when I was watching the show, I tackled one episode every night before going to bed, when I got to this episode nothing really stuck out to me for most of the moment until the ending where Laval gushed about being called an Incredible Speedor racer by Dom (I think those were the words I don’t know), I remember saying in my head “Oh I did that.” And I went to sleep and the next day I remembered it and was like “Holy shit could Laval be on the Autism Spectrum?!” and I remember gushing to my friend (who I’ll get into later as they relate to this story) and eventually coming up with my first genuine headcanon for the show.

Now this is where the art stuff comes in, on March 15th I did my first sketches of Laval and Cragger. Granted it was just their heads but it’s proved to me that something was there. A couple of days later was when I became friends with Ray (which I’ve probably dedicated to its own post on both instagram and Tumblr so I won’t go into how I met them here) and they were able to help me in multiple ways, including with drawing the different chima characters itself. Plus with the support from my irl friends about being in the fandom it sort of revived my love for art. But how? Well it’s simply because that you can do alot with the characters as I’ve seen with fanfiction and art itself. From my understanding and from what I’ve been told, the characters were made so that people could see themselves in the characters and I think some of the art that I have and haven’t posted reflect this alot. Especially when I’ve drawn Laval like I see a lot of traits I have myself in Laval and even though he isn’t the best lego protagonist he’s my favourite for that reason.

I believe chima revitalised my love for art because I became hyperfixated on it when I needed it. It’s widely believed that school hinders creativity and it’s something I’ve seen happen myself and as I stated, nearly happened to me too. But after I joined the fandom I became more confident in my art, but I was still extremely nervous about showing it off but as I said in an instagram story post I asked my friends and they said to do it so that’s what I did and as of the 22nd of April 2023 I began to talk about Lego Legends of Chima being my new hyperfixation with me adding two posts relating to it the very next day. Both posts got 23 likes put together (13 on the first one and 10 on the second one). I don’t think I’ve ever had as much of a confidence boost since March and April of 2023 over my art, especially since that boost wasn’t the only one that happened within that time-frame.. Those two posts honestly revived my love for making art and I couldn’t be more grateful since the stuff I’ve made since then has been honestly great, even if it doesn’t get alot of likes.

In conclusion, that one decision from over a year ago about watching the show again honestly did so much for me which then caused me to do other things that also caused me to go and do cool things. AT 16!! Between this and writing Strangers from Another Realm, though writing SFAR might’ve been more impactful to me, the choice to watch the show was what caused that choice to be made. Honestly, thanks Lego Chima for keeping me going on my path on doing art and honestly being a comfort show I remember dearly to this day.

murphtavia x attention by doja cat (july '23) + my relationship with them

sooo it had been a while since i last edited murphy and octavia, as the 100 has been over for like almost three years (WTF), there aren't a lot of new scenes etc. so i've lost my inspo gradually (rip) but i still like to edit the show once in a while, and when i do it just feels like HOME.

i LOOOOVEEE editing the 100 so much. well, it makes sense as it is my favorite show and i was OBSESSED with it for a few years (i knew every single line said by every single character omfg mood)

i think my fav things to edit from the 100 are polis (MY HOMEEEE), murphtavia (yes it IS a crackship, i love crackships so much, in fact, i love AU edits in general: the idea of recreating a whole new plot / reality with a story that already exists, with limited scenes, etc. it amazes me!!!!), octavia, diyoza, season 6, locations in general & underrated characters

anyways, i wanted to edit murphy and octavia again, but as i used to do it ALL THE TIME, i've already done quite a lot of concepts (example: modern murphtavia, murphtavia on bardo, murphtavia on sanctum, murphtavia & bellamy, murphtavia in 705, etc.) and i didn't want to just edit random scenes from random seasons so i decided that i should edit them in season 7 only, because s7 looked SO GOOOODDD on them let's be honest!!! then, right after having the idea, i downloaded their soft & badass scenes and i searched for an audio.

i wanted to make a soft / badass ship edit, because i don't really know how to do simple ship edits (don't ask me why), i always find it more interesting to add a little bit of spiceeeee... actually i think i just don't like to stick to one 'editing pattern'.

so once i found the audio i started the edit, it took me almost 11 hours to make it, and i used exclusively videostar (bc sometimes i like to use procreate, imovie or else).

during the editing process, i had been kind of stuck multiple times, especially with the parts concerning murphy, idk why, when this happens, i just keep going to create further transitions in order to keep my inspo, bc if i don't touch for a few days, it's quite impossible for me to be in the exact same mood i was before and to continue the edit (in fact i usually rush the end of all my edits -> tips: i now try to do the last two transitions when i start my edit so the more meh transitions won't be at the very end and it won't be as visible)

anyways, murphtavia has been one of my greatest inspiration since 2019, every time i edit them my mind just enters into an altered state of consciousness (i'm not being dramatic at all) and finds a way to make them REAL. i also love to know that people might be shocked or uncomfortable or surprised while watching my murphtavia edits as it is really just me and my mind recreating the story (dramatic)

i won't say that it is my fav muphtavia edit that i've made, bc there is the one from april '22 (https://www.instagram.com/p/CcVp8JTID8w/), and y'all let me tell you. let me. explain. how proud i am of myself for creating this one. i think everything fits very well, and i remember i even CREATED an leaf overlay IRL from scratch, with REAL LEAVES from my GARDEN. lmaooo i was like 'ok i don't know how to use cinema 3d let's find another way to create exactly what i have in mind' and i did. slay. however, i think in this edit from july '23, there are some crusty stuff, especially, once again, in the parts concentrated on murphy, maybe it's bc i usually have more inspo to edit women (oops)

I find myself thinking back on these characters my dad made up for my sister and I when we were kids.

He read us The Hobbit as a bedtime story, and when it was over, we asked him for more. So he thought, all right, I make TTRPGs, I have been a game master, surely I can create a story for my children.

And he starts, by telling us that there is a magical land, where the earth is hollow. There's the outside, which looks a lot like our world, but with magic ! And then there's the inside of this earth, which is inhabited by large, somewhat anthropomorphic mole people, and there's a sun made of jewels inside that brightens during the day and dims during the night. There's large holes linking the two sides, and they're great areas of trade between the outside and the inside ! Unbeknownst to most people, sometimes, tiny holes exist and can let people through.

And then he introduced us to Firolin, Odji, and Jennifer.

Odji and Jennifer live in a human village. Odji's the son of the... the blacksmith, I think, or the lumberjack, I am not very certain anymore. Jennifer is the granddaughter of the village's wizard, and her parents are convinced that she is developing magic, but she is certain that she isn't. They're both 12, which was older than my sister and I at the time.

Firolin is a catboy, pretty literally as he's an anthropomorphic cat and a boy. He's also 12, and his 13th birthday is coming up soon, where he's going to get his first feather on his hat ! The cat-people call themselves the roulotteurs, which I am choosing not to translate because I think it's cute. They're a wandering people, of merchants and loyal fighters, and I am only now realizing my dad saw that we liked the Puss in Boots from Shrek and decided he needed a character that was kind of like that but also a child like the others. Also, as you can probably tell by the length of this paragraph, Firolin's my favorite.

I don't remember all of the story. My dad obviously relied on twists and turns for the new chapter every evening ! So while I do have memories of plot points, I don't know if it's all of them, and... some of the following paragraphs might be partial reconstructions based on what i DO remember, really.

The story starts while all three kids are hanging out in the forest together, because they're best friends, and they love spending time with Firolin when he and his family are around. And then.. Jennifer falls in a hidden, tiny hole, and her friends follow her in.

They wander, lost in the insides of the earth, until they meet some kind mole-people who offer to help them get back out. But they discover that currently, the mole people are being ruled over by an evil prince, who wants them to dig jewels from the earth for him, and not give anything to anyone else !

Of course, our brave kids want to do everything to stop that evil prince, and they embark on an adventure. They meet sky pirates, with boats that can fly ! They get in a fight with them, the captain thinking he might get a ransom from their parents, until they convince him to help them with 1) telling him that if he helps them stop the evil prince, that will get him more money than asking random villagers for a ransom and 2) Jennifer IS magic actually and she IS accidentally summoning a WHOLE ASS STORM that risks killing the pirates.

And so, they befriend the pirates, and are on their merry way to fight the evil prince. There is an epic sky battle near the jewel sun at the center of the earth, where the three realize something ghastly : the prince wants to explode the sun to get all the jewels from it ! That won't do. They manage to get on his skyship, divert it from its course, and make it explode while they safely get back to the pirate ship, and the pirates steal all the gold and jewels that were also stashed on the prince's ship.

Eventually, they go through one of the big holes to get back home, still aboard the pirate ship, because the captain said he'd drop them off. When they get back, enough time has passed that all of their parents were worried sick, and a tearful reunion happens. They explain everything that happened, and their parents are incredibly proud - Jennifer's parents congratulate her for finding a way to use her magic to help her friends, Odji is praised for being brave, and Firolin gets his first hat feather, because he had a wonderful adventure, even if it's not quite his birthday yet.

I keep this story close to my heart still. I love these little buggers.

you go there often to retrieve your commissions in order to stay closer to xiao (liyue harbor is closer than mondstadt he argues but you’re well aware that they’re both equally far away)

so if anyone asked, xiao would absolutely refuse to go to the harbor like i hate people??? why would you even ask???

but,,,he’s so sOFT for you

if you asked??? he would agree in a heartbeat

but since he’s >:( angsty boy, he makes you think that he won’t go even when he’s already decided that he’s coming w you

he puts up the “if you so require, then i guess i will assist you with your travels in liyue harbor” but in reality he would definitely have said yes even without the almond tofu

while he hates the harbor, he thinks that with you anything is bearable :,) simp

you take him to see xinyan to vibe w her music and you can tell he really enjoys it

even tho he’s like 🕴 the entire time, you see the softer look on his face and the very slight smile on his lips as he listens to the music and watches the crowd

i do see him as a subtly touchy person in public like brushing the hair off your face, swiping his thumb across your cheek, or gently pulling your hair back when you have a plate of food in your hands

the type to link your pinkies together - he claims it’s so you don’t get lost but yk better

after the concert is done you take him to that one waypoint near mt. tianheng and the both of you just watch the city lights and the way they reflect beautifully on the water surrounding the harbor

personal headcanon that xiao absolutely loves stargazing since he believes the stars are the one true constant in his life especially since he’s experienced so much loss (basically they’ll never leave him god i hate myself why do i make everything SAD)

mini headcanon off of that - he doesn’t stargaze with people,,, like ever

it’s something he loves to do alone so the fact that he lets you stargaze w him and even allows you to shift your head onto his lap while you watch the sky is a huge deal

he loves it when you softly whisper abt how your day was or something you saw that made you laugh

he just loves hearing your voice, it automatically calms the voices in his head

you absolutely ADORE when he has flowers in his hair especially cecilias (cecillias? ceccillias? idfk) and you make a point whenever you go to mondstadt to pick a fresh batch of cecilias just for xiao while enlisting the help of your favorite bard

these soft moments on the mountain are usually when you’ll sweetly tuck in a flower or two in his hair while laughing

he’ll blush fiercely while looking away but will tuck the cecilias in securely as you’re unable to do so due to the position you’re in on his lap

all in all - this was not meant to come out as a date idea but we’re going w it

she’s an amazing partner but the problem here lies in the fact that she’s almost never on land

you quietly protest abt how “yes zhongli, i understand you’re an archon and have gotten worse injuries but i’m worried about infection just please let me take care of you ok? <3″

when you say that he feels weird emotions,,, wdym take care of him?

he’s always taken care of himself or been expected to take care of others as the former ruling deity of liyue so having someone else genuinely worry abt his wellbeing creates a warm feeling in his chest

he strikes me as the type to knit you something??? idk maybe it’s the grandpa vibes but i headcanon that he would knit you a scarf for the colder weather, it’s cute

in the privacy of your home, he really likes picking you up

he loves it when you wrap your legs around his middle while he gets up to go do the dishes or smthg

domesticity go brrrr

if you’re into making flower crowns, he would totally have you on his lap and wordlessly hand you a glaze lily whenever you expectantly hold your hand out while weaving the flowers together

he expects you to make the crown for yourself but when you place the crown on his head and it fits perfectly while simultaneously tucking a glaze lily behind your ear, he looks at you dumbstruck

his mouth parts open in awe and it’s quite literally the cutest thing

he’ll even put it in water before he sleeps so it won’t wilt and he can wear it the next day <3

“You’re joking,” he whispers because that’s what this has to be, right? Some sick, twisted joke that can’t be real because if it is—if it is real, then—

If it is real, then Xiao doesn’t know what he’ll do with himself.

“I’m sorry,” you whisper, cradling his hands in yours. “But we have time. Baizhu said that I still have two months to live, and I’ll only start to grow weak in the final days. There’s still so much time for us to spend together, so—”

“So much time?” Xiao lets out a broken laugh, turning his eyes towards the midnight sky as if asking Celestia above why this had to happen to him, why this has to happen to you. “For every second you’ve breathed, I’ve lived a hundred years. Two months is nothing,” he spits. “There’s no time left.”

You keep quiet at that.

Xiao closes his eyes, hating how even now, you stroke his knuckles with the pads of your thumbs, knowing that he prefers this physical intimacy to any spoken words. He hates that he, a mighty adeptus, can be read so easily by a human. Hates how he knows he'll miss this same sensation when you’ve been handed to the God of Death in two months.

“I can bring you to Cloud Retainer,” Xiao says, pulling you closer to him. “He has cures that will make you immortal, so—”

“I don’t want that,” you whisper. “I don’t want to cheat death.”

No, of course you don’t. Because ever since Xiao met you, you’ve always refused that kind of assistance, too busy being a stubborn adventurer that declines all help from the magical spirits of Teyvat. You’re the kind of fool who likes to ignore preferential treatment, who purposefully evaded Xiao on your travels so you could experience the real world without the strength of a thousand spears by your side—a brilliant ploy until you ended up backed against a cliffside by enemies, pushed to the brink of death until his golden eyes caught sight of your figure falling to the ground where even then, you refused to whisper his name.

Xiao opens his eyes, and there’s nothing but pain in the twin ambers as they stare at you with longing.

He was fine with you evading him in the past, comfortable with you sprinting away because he knew that eventually, somehow, somewhere, he would find you. There would always be a way to catch up with that godly speed of his, and there was nowhere he couldn’t find you.

But now, you’re going to go to a place he can’t follow.

“Please,” he mumbles, pressing his forehead to yours. “Don’t be stubborn about this. Your pride is nowhere near as important as your life.”

“But my humanity is,” you respond, and when you speak to Xiao in such a voice, strong and confident and determined all in one, the adeptus finds it hard to believe that you’re carrying an illness best known for stealing its host’s strength. “And we promised. When we began this—whatever this is—you promised me that you wouldn’t ask me to give up my humanity to survive. It—it was a contract, Xiao. You can’t go back on that.”

“A contract?” The adeptus laughs a broken laugh, much too bitter and wholly unsweet. “The God of Contracts is dead. My master’s will has no bearing here.”

A long pause.

“He left me, just like you plan to.”

You say nothing.

Your grip is robust as you hold Xiao’s hand, the bones beneath retaining their strength of structure, but now that the adeptus senses the elemental flow within you, he can sense how it moves at a more languid pace.

The disease is far progressed, he realizes abruptly, suddenly struck with the realization that the two months you proclaimed to have was a gross overestimate. There truly is no time left.

“I love you, Xiao.” You lift a hand to his cheek, and it’s unfair how you stare into his eyes with a gaze so expressive that it seems to capture the whole world within it: Xiao’s whole world, all of it orbiting around the life-filled pupil shining black in the center. “But you deserved to know. Soon, I’ll be gone, and you’ll have to start thinking about—”

“About what?” the man counters, beginning to feel defensive. “I refuse to busy myself with unneeded thoughts while you still walk this land.”

“No, Xiao.” Your lips are pursed and your eyebrows are scrunching up the way they always do when you get frustrated with him, when you’ve made up your mind and you’ve just begun to set on changing his. “You can’t pretend I’m not going to die. It’s—it’s part of life, part of me being human, and I’m not going to let you live a lie in my final months—”

“Why not?” Xiao wants his face to flare with anger, but the way your entire expression abruptly softens tells him that he’s doing a poor job of conveying it. Damn the bloody tears that have begun to stream down his face—and curse them for daring to do so when he’s given them no permission.

“Listen, I know you aren’t used to death, but—”

“I am used to death,” Xiao snarls, but it makes him look like more of a wounded dog rather than the illuminated beast he is. “Every single person I’ve ever cared about has died on me, but never have they chosen to—”

“I’m not choosing!” you blurt in response, and now you’ve finally begun to look properly angry. “I’m—I’m a human, Xiao, and I belong to a human world. I know you love me, but I won’t be me if I let you give me an adeptal cure.”

And that’s the awful truth of it, isn’t it?

Xiao fell in love with someone he knew would leave him. It would have been too kind if he fell for another immortal, or even a human who could be tempted to obtain the same longevity Xiao has; of course, something in him made him fall in love with you, one of the only humans in the world who was destined to die.

“Please,” he whimpers. Pathetic isn’t it? A distinguished adeptus, slayer of thousands of demons, begging at the feet of a human. “Please let me take you to a healer. You can live. We can live. I just—I just want—”

“I can’t.” Your kiss is featherlight against Xiao’s forehead. “I don’t want to be immortal, Xiao, and—”

“You don’t have to be immortal,” he croaks. “Just not mortal. Just live long enough for me to love you some more. I just want to—”

“No, Xiao. I want to die a human. Deep down inside, I think you want that, too.”

“No!” It’s the first time he’s raising his voice at you, but he can’t calm himself down now. “I want you to be alive! That’s what I want!”

And then Xiao sobs. It’s the ugliest sound he’s ever heard, raw and primal and nowhere near as devastating as the pain he feels in his heart, but you don’t move, simply holding him close until he’s just barely trembling with the aftershocks of his misery.

“We have time, Xiao. We still have time to be happy together.”

“There’s no time,” he responds. “No time unless you take a cure.”

“A magic cure?”

“An adeptal cure.”

“I won’t.”

“Please.”

“I can’t, Xiao.”

“Please.”

“I’ve given you my answer. There’s nothing else to say.”

“Lie to me, then.”

And wouldn’t that be so sweet? For him to get to believe, even for a short second, that you might not slip from his fingers?

A troubled look crosses your face, worried and hesitant and pained all at once—and then Xiao can’t help but wonder if this would even be the first lie because you’ve certainly known about this illness for a long time. His mind races back to when you finally stopped avoiding him, calling his name for the first time and claiming a change of mind that had brought you to want to get to know the adeptus who spent so long chasing you whenever you crossed paths, an exchange that took place right on the brink of Liyue’s border, just outside that awful snake-bearing doctor’s hut where he—

Xiao banishes the thought from his mind.

“I won’t lie,” you say, brushing his hair back. “You love me because I don’t lie to you.”

It’s a true statement, but Xiao can’t decide right now if he hates that or loves that about you. Because for all his affections, the weeks he spent watching over you while you stubbornly declined his help and the months he spent chasing you when you ran from him after and the years he then spent thinking about you at the forefront of his mind, he can’t stop you from dying just like everybody else.

Pathetic. It’s pathetic.

When Xiao next looks at you, he understands that you were never the mesmerizing blessing he thought you to be. No, you were nothing but a curse, meant to plague his heart now until the end of time as retribution for everything he’s ever done, everything he will do when this cruel world steals his last sliver of happiness away.
