People on here spreading propaganda that the Iranian government is good...stop.

You are hurting Iranians, Jews, Muslims, Arabs, and more.

The Iranian government does not give a fuck about Palestine. All they are interested in is spreading their power and influence across the Middle East. They even hurled missiles at Al-Aqsa Mosque, which potentially could have destroyed or damaged it if the Iron Dome didn't exist. The only seriously injured victim in Israel was a 7 year old Muslim Bedouin girl. Many Arab countries understand how dangerous the Iranian government is and intercepted some of their missiles.

Iranians have been screaming at the top of their lungs that they don't want war and they are tortured and murdered by their government, but your desire to view the Middle East as a sports match makes you want to root for anyone who is against Israel. The Iranian government literally hosted a Holocaust denial convention in 2006 which included David Duke, one of the former leaders of the KKK. They are not against the Israeli government for the right reasons, but for antisemitic ones. The growing antisemitism in Iran due to their rule drove out thousands of Iranian Jews, many whose only option was to move to Israel.

Please do research before spewing ignorant bullshit that harms everyone. There is no shame in admitting you were misinformed. Peoples' lives are worth more than your bruised ego.

Have you been thinking about homeschooling your child? Is your child between the ages 7 and 16? Do you live in North Carolina? Do you have questions about the laws, requirements but not sure where to start looking for answers? Well I got you covered. In this post I will cover to very basics you will need to know to get started on your journey in homeschooling here in North Carolina.

The first thing is to file your Notice of Intent. This notice is filed only once when you register your ho.eschool. Remember, we register our homeschools, not our children. However if you wish to file your NOI in May or June, you will have to wait until the first week of July as they do not accept NOI's in May and June.

Once you have filed your NOI and have been approved by the state, print out a copy of your NOI which will have the name of your homeschool and a state issued ID number and submit it to your childs school. This will allow you to legally unenroll them from public school so you can start homeschooling your child. It should be said that most schools are not up to speed on state homeschool laws and some schools have been known to give parents a difficult time. Maintain your composure, give them a copy of your NOI and I would even email it to every administrator in the school so there is no question as to if you gave them notice.

Next, here are the laws (NC statute included) and recommendations but I will break them down in simple terms. We do have to keep attendance and simply checking off the days on a calendar works to satisfy this requirement. We do need to keep vaccine records or a simple handwritten note for religious exemption or a medical exemption note. A standardized test must be administered within 12 months of opening the homeschool, then yearly after that. Lastly we must instruct 9 months out of the year but there is no set amount of hours or days. So the number of hours and days is completely up to you. We have complete and total freedom for how our homeschools are ran. There is also no required curriculum to follow or required subjects to teach. I know, totally ailen to us who went through public schools ourselves and dealing with the public schools for our kids. Kinda weird and feels almost unnatrual...lol Completely understandable with those thoughts and feelings and they go away after a short while.

This is the general statute for homeschooling in North Carolina.

This is just a breakdown of the laws and recommendations by the state.

Next we have a running list of approved nationalized standardized tests to pick from. The prices vary from as little as $25 all the way up to over one hundred dollars per child for testing. Now it must be mentioned that we keep the scores or just proof of the test being administered and no one from the state will see the scores. This is not a pass or fail test.

Now this is the specific test I use and only do it to satisfy the law. As mentioned above you can pick and choose whichever test that suits your desires. I will mention the Woodcock Johnson test, which is on the pricey side seems to be the go to test for parents who wish to see where their child stands academically. I however use the California Achievement Test aka CAT.

Congratulations, you are now successfully on your journey to having the freedom you and your child deserve to learn about whatever and for you to teach however you wish.

After dissolving the Office of Outreach and Inclusive Excellence and quietly firing the Dean of Diversity Yoleidy Rosario-Hernandez, the NCF Board of Trustees’ next major move was to deny tenure to the five faculty who had applied, having each reached the end of the tenure track.

In doing this, they undermined the five years of hard work that each faculty member dedicated, and their willingness to devote them selves to a low-paying, difficult job. Untenured faculty have been one of the most at risk parties since the DeSantis’ first new appointees arrived, and so those rejected on April 26th are left with insecure positions. Two of the faculty are a part of the chemistry AOC, which was already in a shaky position. Other AOCs rely on chemistry, and yet it is unclear how the required courses will be taught next year.

BOT members claim to work in the interest of the institution, and yet they threaten its foundations, because they are here only to control higher education.
