I LOVE WORKING WITH CHILDREN!

I love walking in and seeing them smile. I just cannot express how happy working with these people makes me feel, they’re all so inquisitive and curious in their own ways it’s so interesting to see the gears turn in their mind. I love being greeted by them, hearing about what they’re interested in and what they think about different topics, I’ve learned so much from them. When they do something they’ve been trying at for a long time or they achieve something they thought they couldn’t just makes me so proud of them, I don’t want to say I’m proud of course because I want them to rely on their opinions of themselves, on how they should feel proud not about how I feel proud, but I just needed somewhere to express my pride for each of them. Especially when getting to know all these different people I am always surprised and learn new things when it comes to spending time with children, GOD I AM SO PROUD, SO proud. Every single child I have met has been extremely capable, compassionate and empathetic and it just makes me not only proud but hopeful. I’ve been sad going into work but when I walk through the door and I get greeted with smiles, curious eyes, waves and hugs, it just makes me so happy. I get to explore the world alongside them as well as learning with them I completely forget about anything that bothers me. This is so basic but true, they make me so happy!! Getting to build these connections, learn about them, learning their story, learning how to support their exploration and learning of the world is so rewarding, I’m just so grateful. When it comes to times like these I don’t think there are enough words in the English language to describe how much I love and honour working with people like this.
