Postage & Packaging Prices for 2023
Over the last few months, we have been working on updates to our Postage & Packaging prices following our own supplier's revised prices. In March, we updated our costs for Print Only orders to the UK and International destinations. At the same time, we created a new set of size brackets, introducing a new Extra Large group for prints larger than A0 (1188 x 841mm); prints larger than this are too big to be sent by mail and therefore need to be sent by a courier service with higher costs.
Last week we completed our update by revising our Postage & Packaging costs for orders with additional finishing options, from prints that are Flat Wrapped or Window Mounted all the way up to our Substrate Mounting, Bespoke Frames and Stretched Canvases.
Our delivery costs for these orders also got a new set of size brackets, taking inspiration from those created for our Print Only orders. We now have Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large for our two categories of Finished Prints; Flat Wrapped and Mounted Prints and Framed and Stretched Canvas Prints.
Tumblr media
Here is a graphic to show you all the sizes featured in our Postage & Packaging size breaks. There's more information about this in our Knowledge Base here.
You can find our full and updated price list for Postage & Packaging on our website here.

Final versions of my kickstarter prints have arrived. They look beautiful and feel absolutely amazing! The portrait print is still too dark for my liking in the background even after brightening it up a lot. Found this photo of a print that I'd honestly forgot I even sell. People don't buy them very often, and yet I think it came out more amazingly than all the others (which is saying a lot because @dstudiouk always does an incredible job!) What do you think? 😅 Is it worth continuing? (Casual reminder that my 50% off sale ends tomorrow! Weekly Studio Spotlight - Matthew Johnson
Tumblr media
This week, we chatted with the amazing Matthew Johnson. We got to know all about his art, his career & his favourite meal 😁We hope you enjoy this week’s interview, if you do, please do support the posts on our socials too 💛
What are your biggest inspirations?
Landscape and nature. I love illustrating what's around me and things I've seen. Every time I go for a walk on the coast, I see enough things to keep me busy for months.
Tumblr media
Credit: Matthew Johnson
How did you start your career in the art industry?
I worked at a music packaging specialist whose offices were nearby. It was great because I love music and record covers, and I learnt lots of technical stuff about printing.
Tumblr media
Credit: Matthew Johnson
What is your favourite piece you have created so far?
St Anthony Pines - it's the view from one of my favourite places in Cornwall and seems to be a special location for lots of other people too.
What art tools could you not live without?
The main things I use for my work are a computer, a scanner, Adobe Illustrator, acrylic paint, black ink Pentel brush pen, cartridge paper and mechanical pencils. But I think as long as I had pencils and paper, I'd be happy.
Tumblr media
Credit: Matthew Johnson
What is your biggest challenge with your work?
Colour! I love colour but I always find choosing the colour scheme the hardest part.
Would you rather live by a forest or by the sea?
Definitely the sea - I live in Cornwall, a few minutes from the beach, and I'd never want to leave.
Tumblr media
Credit: Matthew Johnson
What is your favourite time of year / season?
Late spring when the trees have fresh leaves on, the sea is warming up and the whole summer lies ahead.
What is the best thing you've ever purchased?
A very dear friend left me some money in her will, and I used it to buy a nice bicycle and a nice guitar. With those two things around I have never been stuck or bored!
Do you have any advice for people wanting to succeed as an artist?
I am still working on it, so I'm probably not the best person to ask... but I think success is probably making the art that you want to make. Nobody is going to invite you to do that - you have to look for opportunities and exploit them for yourself. I also think that successful artists have been able to carve out space in their life to make art. For that you need to be in a lucky situation or make some bold and clever life choices.
Tumblr media
Credit: Matthew Johnson
What is your favourite song / album to listen to at the moment?
I'm a big fan of Peggy Gou... been listening to her new song "I Go" a lot this week. Also "160 down the A406" by Sherelle, which sounds better every time I listen to it.
What makes you most happy in life?
Swimming in the sea with my wife.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
Noodle stir fry

Weekly Studio Spotlight - Clare Caulfield
Tumblr media
This week, ta daaaaa, we’re featuring the wonderful Clare Caulfield. Clare takes a lot of inspiration from her travels & different cultural designs. Her style of work is so unique to her, they really are a pleasure to look at and get lost in. WARNING: Clare’s artwork WILL make you want to go on holiday...... Just saying... 👀
We caught up with Clare for an interview, finding out about what she enjoys about her career in art, what inspires her & who she’d most like to invite to a dinner party...
What inspires you most when doing art?
I’ve always been fascinated by architecture as I love the detail and structure of buildings, the repetition and pattern to be found within their design. Using my sketchbooks and drawings produced on location, I try to work as spontaneously as possible back in my studio when I’m working on a painting in order to maintain energetic line work.
I love the buzz of cities and visiting new places, there’s always so much happening and so much to inspire me. The jumble of apartments, storefronts and skyscrapers in Manhattan or the elegant architecture of Venice and its canals, or simply capturing Parisian life outside a brightly canopied pavement café.
I always take lots of photographs and collect interesting ephemera on my travels. Menus, postcards and local newspapers, patterned paper bags, stamps, leaflets, vintage books and packaging, anything that will help to conjure a memory or spark my imagination.  Sometimes I combine small elements of these collaged papers into my pieces.
Tumblr media
Credit: Clare Caulfield
How did you get your art career started?
During my final year at university, I won a trip to Venice as a result of a drawing project and I decided to use it as the focus for my end of year degree show.  The Venetian buildings were a huge inspiration.  I really developed my drawing style during that time and it pushed me into a new way of working. I was staying just a couple of streets away from St. Mark’s Square, and had an amazing view of the piazza’s basilica domes. So Venice is a very special place for me as it's where my passion for drawing architecture began.  It's such a beautiful city, there really is nowhere else like it.
Immediately after graduating I worked at a textile studio in London for a couple of years designing children’s fashion fabrics before deciding to move back up to Yorkshire to set up my studio to focus on producing my own work and developing my illustrative style.  Since then I have exhibited in galleries throughout the UK and beyond producing work inspired by my travels to some of the world’s greatest cities.  Closer to home my collection also includes the rugged beauty and charm of North Yorkshire’s coastal towns and villages of Whitby, Staithes and Robin Hood’s Bay.
What’s your favourite piece you have created so far?
The interior view of Grand Central Station in New York. It’s one of my favourite buildings in the world.
Tumblr media
Credit: Clare Caulfield
What art tools could you not live without?
My sepia sketching pens. I definitely couldn’t survive without these so I have pots full of them in my studio so that I never run short. They really suit my drawing style, allowing me to make quick lively marks. Black linework would be too heavy for me to work in so brown ink is perfect. They are waterproof too so I can add washes of watercolour over the top. I mainly work on hot pressed Fabriano paper as its smooth surface enables me to achieve a fluid quality of line.
Tumblr media
Credit: Clare Caulfield
What is your biggest challenge you face when working on your art?
Sometimes a painting may not be progressing quite as I want it to. This is all part of the creative process as it then motivates me to find new ways to approach it.  Something as simple as working on a different type of paper or using a new drawing tool may be all it takes. I have to feel truly inspired to create work I’m really happy with.
If you could have a superhero power, what would you want to have?
Time travel would be great! I’d love to be able to look back and watch again how I created particular pieces of work. I sense an energy within my drawing when I’m fully lost in the moment of making a picture and that’s when I feel truly creative. I really don’t remember how some pieces evolve. They just happen. I try not to over think it or plan the process, so it’d be great to see how I did it!
Tumblr media
Credit: Clare Caulfield
Which famous faces would you invite to a dinner party?
David Hockney, Lucinda Rogers, Miroslav Šašek, Stephen Wilshire
What was your favourite class in school and why?
Art from as early as I can remember! I My love for all things creative has always been with me.
What was the first music album you remember buying?
Madonna True Blue
Tumblr media

If you could travel, or live anywhere, where would you go?
I’d love to visit Japan…one day!
This week’s artist interview was so so much fun. Thank you so much to Clare for taking the time to answer the questions and showcase her beautiful work. Weekly Studio Spotlight - Sophie Green
This week, we had the pleasure of speaking to Sophie Green. Sophie is an award winning and incredibly passionate wildlife artist & conservationist. Using her talent and platforms to raise awareness for wild animals, animal welfare and their habitats along with donating 10% of all profits towards conservation charities. Our Q&A this week was a good one... have a read below!
Tumblr media
Where do you draw your inspiration from?
As a wildlife artist, I mainly draw inspiration from the natural world and the wildlife that needs protecting. 10% of my profits have always gone to conservation charities, so often a piece will be aimed at drawing attention to a specific species or subspecies.
How did you start your art career?
I have painted since I was a child, but it wasn’t until my mid-twenties that I decided to finally try and become a professional artist. I was working as a primary school teacher at the time, so I gradually reduced my hours at work and set up social media pages, painted commissions and sold my work at art fairs. Eventually, I was able to quit my job and embark on a full-time career and I haven’t looked back since!
What’s your favourite piece you have created so far?
I think that ‘The March’ has been my most successful piece so far. It was a finalist in the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year award, where it got ‘highly commended’ and has also been selected for several other awards. In terms of artistic style and technique though, I think my favourites are still ‘Rohan’ (the tiger profile) and ‘Revival’ (the bison), as they were the most challenging.
Tumblr media
Credit: Sophie Green
What art tools could you not live without?
My Masterson ‘Sta-Wet’ palette was a game changer for me, because I work in acrylics (which dry within minutes). The palette keeps the paint wet for weeks (much like oil paints), without compromising their quality. I also couldn’t get as much detail in my work without the use of good size 0-1, round synthetic brushes.
What is your biggest challenge with your work?
I love what I do and I am always coming up with big and exciting ideas for projects, charity collaborations etc., but there are only so many hours in the day and it can be overwhelming. I work 7 days a week and also paint tiny details for hours on end, so have developed ongoing issues with the tendons in my wrist. I think one of the biggest challenges for me is avoiding burnout!
Tumblr media
Credit: Sophie Green
Have you always had an interest in wild animals?
I’ve always been interested in animals and wildlife, but when I first started painting, I focused more on domestic pets; perhaps because a lot of my pieces were commissions. It didn’t take long for me to realise that I wasn’t as passionate about painting other people’s pets and move over to wild animals. We have so much love and compassion for our pets, yet wild animals are hunted/poached and tortured. They need our protection.
Have you ever done or would you like to do a safari?
Going on a safari currently sits at the top of my list of things I want to do. I had plans to go on a safari before the pandemic hit and put everybody’s travel plans on hold. It would be amazing to take the reference photos of the animals myself. Although I have no problem paying other photographers to use their amazing work as a reference, there’s something special about visiting a place and using the money raised from the trip to give back to the country’s wildlife.
Would you rather live in a forest or by the sea?
Funnily enough, I currently live in a forest by the sea, so I’ve got the best of both!
Tumblr media
Credit: Sophie Green
Where’s the most amazing place you’ve ever been to before?
There are so many! I absolutely loved the Bahamas. It was one of the most beautiful, laid back places. I was also lucky enough to visit the bioluminescent bay in Puerto Rico last year, which was a once in a lifetime experience. Oh, and seeing the Northern Lights in Iceland!
Other than creating art, how else do you like to spend your time?
Over the past year, I’ve learnt to be more content with a quieter lifestyle. I live in quite a remote part of the country and work from home, so during lockdown, I went on walks every day, read lots of books, did yoga and played tennis. One of my biggest passions is travelling and lockdown definitely made me appreciate that even more!
What do you listen to / watch when you are working?
I usually either listen to a podcast (either true crime or my friend’s podcast, ‘Blank’), or I’ll split the screen on my laptop (I don’t have a TV) and put on something that I’ve watched a million times already, so I don’t need to watch it to know what’s happening. To be honest, it’s usually something really corny like Pride and Prejudice!
Tumblr media

Huge thanks to Sophie for taking part in this week’s feature! Hopefully you enjoyed it as much as we did! Make sure you go and check Sophie’s work out on her website and her socials!

It’s National Lego Day!
Tumblr media
“Only the best is good enough” - Lego, 1936
Creativity, imagination & a goal of perfection with every product. We can admire that, for sure.
Here’s where it started... Founded back in 1932 in Billund, Denmark as an unnamed company. Lego has since become one of the biggest, most popular toys around the world, loved by the kids, the parents and, well, literally anyone ever, to be honest. Let’s take it back to 28th January 1958, that’s 64 years ago today, saw Ole Kirk Christiansen (a brilliantly talented Danish carpenter) submit his patent for the original Lego brick. This is why it was decided on when Lego day should be celebrated.
Right, let’s have a look at some fun facts... (these are always our favourite bits to read and you never know, one of these might help you out in a general knowledge round one day).
Around the world, the company sells approximately 4 million pieces of Lego every hour.
If you stack around 40 billion Lego bricks, it can reach the moon (this might take a while.... and a lot of money saving....).
Christiansen (the founder of Lego) originally made the toys out of leftover wood.
The first Lego mini-figure that was made was a police officer.
Lego may extend its license with Star Wars again this year (2022). Star Wars was one of the first partnerships with Lego, originally licensed from 1999 to 2008. An extension to this was agreed with Lucasfilm which then ran from 2011 to 2022.
The tallest Lego tower ever made measured nearly 115ft tall. Created using approximately 550,000 Lego bricks, standing at about 35m which well and truly earned its place in the Guiness World Records.
The design of the Lego brick has barely changed since the 50s. So, if you’ve got any vintage Lego bricks knocking about, you can still use them with all of the new sets you can buy today!
We love being able to show our love and support to small businesses and independent artists and creators whenever and wherever we can, so here’s a list of some great accounts you can go and check out to celebrate today!

Weekly Studio Spotlight - Paul Trevillion
Tumblr media
This week, we are sooooo excited to be releasing our interview with Paul Trevillion. A global success in sports art & illustration and an incredible career with some amaaaazing stories to tell. We think you’ll really love this one... ✌🏼
What are your biggest inspirations?
I am inspired by the Masters of the art of drawing such as  Rembrandt, Ingres, Degas, Michelangelo – they brought AMAZING LIFE to their work, with their own unique talents and vision, with flowing line, movement and vibrant colour.  I am inspired by those artists and sports achievers who commit to their own originality and beliefs, create their own artistic rules and follow their own dreams.
Tumblr media
Credit: Paul Trevillion
How did you start your art career?
“Treat every obstacle as a hurdle to be overcome” were the words of HRH Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, when we met in 1952 at the Mansion House Medal Awards, which inspired my unshakable belief that EVERYTHING is possible.  Having a somewhat limited attention span, during the awards I sketched Prince Phillip’s portrait on the programme, a sketch which I was praised by His Royal Highness in a letter from Buckingham Palace which I received a few weeks later.  The letter appeared in the National Press and launched my sporting career in the ‘Sporting Record’ with drawings of the England and Australian cricketers for the 1953 Coronation Ashes.
Tumblr media
Credit: Paul Trevillion
What’s your favourite piece you have created so far?
I was a born in London in 1934, a World War II 'boy from the ‘Blitz’ so my favourite piece of art is my Sir Winston Churchill portrait.  I was summoned to meet Churchill in Berkeley Square, London W1 in 1955.  It was the year after the huge disappointment of the Graham Sutherland portrait which Churchill absolutely hated and on Churchill’s passing his wife Clementine destroyed.  My pen and ink smiling portrait was in celebration of Churchill’s 81st Birthday.  At our meeting Sir Winston after giving me much sage advice (including ’Every NO takes you one step nearer a YES!’) and in appreciation of my portrait which he liked very much, especially the ’twinkle’ in his eyes, the great man signed it.  My portrait of Sir Winston Churchill remains the only portrait  which exists signed by our greatest statesman and at the request of Gordon Taylor, former Chief Executive of the PFA, is loaned and on display in the boardroom of the Professional Footballers Association in Manchester.
Tumblr media
Credit: Paul Trevillion
What art tools could you not live without?
Pen & Ink…not to mention my Guillott 290 pen nibs.  Materials have changed over the years, but these nibs cannot be bettered.  I also still work from the same easel I have used for the past 80 years!
Tumblr media
Credit: Paul Trevillion
What is your biggest challenge with your work?
Working in pen and ink does not allow you the luxury of the flexibility of oils and acrylics.  Just ONE mistake and you have to start again.  Mistakes cannot be rubbed out or brushed over!
Tumblr media
Credit: Paul Trevillion
What has been your biggest achievement in life?
Since the early 1950’s I have had my art published in newspapers, magazines, books and periodicals and I have NEVER missed a deadline.  I learned from a very early age the importance of time keeping and completing the project to the time allowed!
Tumblr media

If you could choose 5 people to have at a dinner party, who would you invite?
SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL, because of his invaluable words of advice. I am now older than he was when I met him…there is so much I would like to share with him!  During the second World War my father was a grocer and I have such wonderful memories of a little girl just 6 years old who sang and danced on my grocer father's shop counter whilst my Disney drawings of  the Seven Dwarfs (I was also 6 years old) were displayed behind her.  The little girl was SHANI WALLIS who went on to worldwide recognition when she appeared in the musical film ‘OLIVER’ as Nancy and sang with incredible passion, ‘As Long As He Needs Me’.  I remember both our fathers at the time wondered if either Shani or Paul would ever  be successful in their chosen careers!   In the ’70's I worked with GEORGE BEST for 18 months with ‘Play The Best Way’ in the Sunday People.  George was never lost for words when talking football, plus his football brain made our conversations all the more memorable.  George admired my art so much he asked me to draw his ‘Perfect Portrait. My friend, SUSIE HODGE MA FRSA, author of over 100 art books, lecturer at the Tate Gallery and a highly respected art historian, who said of my art... "Paul adds washes of vibrant colour.  Nothing is laboured or overworked.....not a static photographic rendition, but a free fluid image that not only captures movements, form and mannerisms, but spirit and power....Paul Trevillion is the Pele of Sporting Art." Finally … HRH PRINCE PHILIP who would definitely keep the dinner party in order!
Tumblr media
Credit: Paul Trevillion
What do you do differently in your career now than when you first started?
There was a demand in the 1940s and 1950’s for pen and ink ‘cartoon’ art in the Press.  I enjoyed many of the artists who lent their hands to cartoons and caricatures.  I began in publishing in this style.   My  'Comic Art Realism’ style focusing on figure art and detailed traditional portraiture ensured my work began to be accepted for it’s artistic merit in the field of fine art and is now exhibited in the FIFA Museum, Zurich and the National Football Museum, Manchester.
Tumblr media
Credit: Paul Trevillion
If you could give advice to a young artist, what would it be?
You must remain ORIGINAL.  Do not follow in others footsteps…create your own ARTISTIC FOOTPRINT.  Above all, you must BELIEVE 100% in yourself above everything else.  Never doubt your ability, don’t follow the crowd… follow your instinct.
Tumblr media

Who’s going to win the 2021 euros?
Providing Tottenham Hotspur and England’s Harry Kane stays free from injury, I believe England has a better than even money chance on winning the Euros.   COME ON ENGLAND!!!
Tumblr media
Credit: Paul Trevillion
What makes you happiest in life?
Seeing one of my paintings displayed on a wall – whether it be in a house,  a museum, an office, a store or exhibition centre – it’s just a joy to know it is appreciated.

Weekly Studio Spotlight - Pedro Demetriou
Tumblr media
Time for another artist of the week 🎉 This week, we’re featuring the brilliant Pedro Demetriou on all of our social platforms. Pedro is a true pop culture fanatic and an incredible illustrator. Taking a lot of inspiration from Marvel, DC and other comics & movies, his work is sure to be a total hit with any fans of the franchises. So if you know any comic, marvel, DC fans, be sure to share this with them! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️
Tumblr media
Credit: Pedro Demetriou
What inspires you the most?
The inner drive to be the best version of myself, that is never quite realised, yet seemingly in touching distance. On a more surface level - Pop culture, people's faces and chasing feelings of nostalgia.
Tumblr media
Credit: Pedro Demetriou
How did you start your art career?
I've always drawn things I love on a daily basis since I was 5. This led me to get quite good at it, culminating me studying Graphic Design & Illustration at university. Once I graduated, I refocused my work on the things I love, namely portraiture and pop culture. The never ending drive to create better work correlated with a growing audience that support my work, for which I am so grateful.
What’s your favourite piece you have created so far?
It's difficult to answer as once I've finished a piece I feel quite numb to it and focus on what's next. If I had to pick one that gives me the most joy, it would be my "Spidey Through The Ages" poster. It's a celebration of all the differing looks of Spider-Man. It was a passion project in every sense and ended up becoming my most popular and highest selling piece. It serves as a constant reminder to myself to focus on what I love.
Tumblr media
Credit: Pedro Demetriou
What art tools could you not live without?
My iPad. I create all my work on Procreate so I've become pretty reliant!
What is your biggest challenge with your work?
My biggest challenge varies from project to project. My work often features a series of illustrations, so to complete a poster can prove to be quite time consuming, which demands discipline and absolute commitment to the end goal.
If you were a superhero, what name and power would you have?
Pizza-Ped with the ability to generate delicious slices of pizza on command.
What was/is your favourite cartoon?
Growing up it was Dragon Ball Z, nowadays I'm really loving Thundercats Roar!
If you could bring a fictional character to life, who would you pick?
It's got to be Spider-Man!
Tumblr media
Credit: Pedro Demetriou
Would you rather travel to the past or the future?
Certainly the past. Being born in the 90s, it would've been amazing to experience cultural shifts in the 80s with regards to music and pop culture.
Which place have you not been before, that you would love to go?
I'd love to go to Thailand to enjoy delicious food and sleep on the beach!

Weekly Studio Spotlight - Sara Haslam
Tumblr media
A fresh week means a fresh feature! Get those fanfares going... it’s Artist of The Week time. This week, we’re featuring Sara Haslam. A traditional artist based in the UK with a distinctively unique style that really separates her work from the rest. We loved getting to know Sara and her work this week, definitely one of our favourites!
As you know by now, we interview our chosen artists each week with a fun Q&A about them and their work. If you’ve ever wondered what TV series our artists like to binge watch... carry on reading!
What inspired you when growing up?
My Dad's cousin was an author/illustrator, and there was a book she illustrated that I really loved. So when I was little I always said that I wanted to be an author/illustrator too. I became less interested in the writing part as I got older, but stayed interested in illustration and art. I think I was also inspired by various cartoons and anime that I watched on TV, and I used to enjoy drawing some of those characters.
How did you start your art career?
I studied art at A level, and then went on to study Computer Animation at university. After I graduated, I went back to a style of art that I first did at school – portraits drawn over torn brown paper. I put a few up for sale on eBay, in the hopes of making a bit of money whilst I looked for a “proper” job. To my surprise, people actually wanted to buy them! From there I did a few commissions, and then decided to start selling prints, so I set up shops on Etsy and a few other online retailers. It took a while to build up a momentum of sales, but it’s now reached a stage where I can make a consistent income from my art, which is amazing really. I never would have expected other people to want my artwork in their homes.

What’s your favourite piece you have created so far?
I find it difficult to judge my own work, but there are a couple that come to mind. I think my John Lennon portrait might be the piece which is technically my best. I believe I managed to reach a decent level of realism, whilst not getting too carried away making sure every single hair was in the right place. I was particularly pleased with how the highlights on his hair turned out, and the level of detail around his eyes.
Another favourite is my “I May Destroy You” piece. It was quite a challenge for me because it was the first picture I’d drawn in colour marker pens rather than greyscale, and it was much smaller than I had worked previously. I surprised myself by drawing it in just a few days, and managing to get in all the tiny details on her face and clothing. It was really fun to draw something a bit different for a change.

What art tools could you not live without?
A pencil! I use Copic marker pens for most of my work, so I could say those, but I think I could switch to another medium like acrylic paints or watercolour, and it wouldn't affect me too much. However without a simple pencil, I'm not sure if I would be able to create anything very good. I have to spend a long time sketching everything out before I go over it in pen. For what it's worth my preferred pencils to use are the cheap mechanical ones. Mechanical because they create a thin line which is easier to hide, and cheap because the fancy ones over-complicate things and always end up breaking.
What is your biggest challenge with your work?
My biggest challenge is just getting into the right frame of mind to draw. I often have issues concentrating and can get quite restless, so I almost need to be exhausted before I can be productive. Consequently I get most of my work done in the early hours of the morning, once I eventually get into the zone. I’m also a bit of a perfectionist, which can make it difficult to actually put pen to paper incase I mess it up - you can't erase pen ink.
Who are your favourite musical artists?
This is tricky because it changes almost every week and I have so many favourites from different genres. Right now I would say Frank Ocean, The Beach Boys and Tame Impala are some of my favourites. I've only drawn Frank Ocean out of these 3 so far, so I should get working on the others!

If you could trade lives with someone for a day, who would you pick?
If I'm honest I wouldn’t like to be anyone famous, as I hate being in the spotlight. I think perhaps I would quite like to be either a professional snowboarder or a buddhist monk for the day. Or even just a normal person with a nice peaceful life on a mountain somewhere.
Other than art, what do you do to relax and unwind?
I do a quick yoga session every morning, which definitely helps me to relax. I try to meditate too, but it doesn’t happen very often and I’m not very good at it. I also love skating and snowboarding, and I go on a lot of long walks whilst listening to podcasts.
What was the last thing you watched or listened to on repeat?
I’m currently re-watching all 121 episodes of LOST, for what is I think the 5th time through.. A couple of those times have been because someone I lived with was watching it, but this time it’s only me watching so I have no excuses, I just really wanted to watch it again.

If you could give one piece of advice to another artist, what would you say to them?
The best advice I can give is to create as much art as often as you can, and not to worry about everything being perfect. (I need to take this advice too)
A massive thank-you to Sara for participating in this, we really loved her answers to these. Sooo much fun and such a fascinating look into turning a hobby into a full time career path. As always, thank-you to you, too, for reading and supporting! We’ve loved working on Artists of The Week, so do make sure to let us know you’re enjoying them too by sharing the love on our social platforms @dStudioUK and make sure you’ve checked out Sara on her platforms to see more of her incredible work!
