• So every time one of my family members does something spideyfam-ish, I either make it into a textpost or I write it down for future use. Now is my time to shine. Here are some Pepperony energy interactions between my mom and dad

dad: alright, I’m headed to my friend’s house. his truck is making weird noises and he wants me to check it out

me: ok! bye!!

mom: Monica.

dad: what?

mom: his wife’s name is Monica. there’s nothing worse than getting there and not knowing her name when she knows yours

dad: *laughs and leaves*

me: did he… ask you what her name was??

mom: no. I just know him.

• Like? The subtle shade. The caring way she told him her name, so he wouldn’t be embarrassed. The apparent disappointment. It’s the epitome of Pepper energy

• Later that day, my mom went to the store, and she wanted to buy my dad more eggs (not a Tony thing, but it’s important to note that my dad LOVES eggs; he eats A LOT of eggs. Like. Just eggs. No dinner plans?? Don’t worry, my dad is already cooking four MILLION eggs.)

• Using commas after emojis? Throwing shade at her husband (whom she loves very much, I promise)? The pun? Being responsible and going shopping? Okay, Pepper.

• She just EXPOSED my dad like that. Pepper would do that. me: oh that’s smart! her: no. he’s just a mess.

• Next, I would like to get into the story of how my dad proposed to my mom. He had this whole nice evening planned!! I mean, like, fancy dinner, I’m pretty sure there was a walk on the beach in there somewhere, and it was a perfect setup! Very cute, very wholesome! Obviously I wasn’t there, but I imagine it was a solid idea.

• Of course, his dumb ass got too excited, so as soon as my mom got in the car to go to said nice evening, he just? Whipped out the engagement ring and proposed right there. In the car. Like a dumbass.

• But a SOFT dumbass.

• It has Pepper and Tony energy because 1) Tony would definitely be too excited to wait. Like when they needed to give the press news so he impulsively went, “Oh, I could just propose to Pepper, duh.” 2) He would also 100% have a whole evening planned and then never utilize it like?? big Tony energy. He is entirely capable and willing to put lots of thought into romantic gesture, but does he? No, he just GOES FOR IT 3) My mom brings this story up sometimes and sounds (faintly) annoyed but she… still said yes. So, clearly it wasn’t that bad

• The only other one I can think of (at the moment) involves my brother. He was super young and hadn’t learned to speak. Hadn’t said his first word yet. My dad was driving him somewhere, as dads occasionally do, and someone cut my dad off. Suddenly slamming on the breaks, my dad yelled, “FUCK,” as dads often do.

• Now, my brother was very small, but he knew how to make some noises. So, what did my brother do? Yup, he sat in the back seat, going, “f… fu….. fff….” and meanwhile my dad was sitting in the front seat like

“DON’T, MY WIFE WILL NEVER LET ME HEAR THE END OF IT IF YOUR FIRST WORD IS FUCK”

Immortality or infinite power?

If I could have eternal youth with the immortality choice, I’d pick that one. But since I’m guessing that youth doesn’t come with that (and I don’t want to turn into a grasshopper) I’ll go with infinite power.

What super power do you want?

A Reach Scarab.

Favorite animated movie?

Ooh. Tough choice. Movies like The Black Cauldron and Arcadia of My Youth have a special place in my heart, but there’s also A Monster in Paris that I’m really fond of. Also I really like Little Mermaid, Batman: Assault on Arkham and Justice League Dark.

I have two songs that I’m really not able to choose between: December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night) by The Four Seasons and Shut Up And Dance by Walk The Moon.

But some new favorites that I’ve discovered recently are Slow Hands by Niall Horan and Rasputin by Boney M.

Marvel or Dc?

DC. I like Marvel enough, even though I’m not sure how many more of their movies I’m going to see (I’m going to keep up with GotG, Thor and Deadpool, at least, but there’s just so much now and I don’t know that I have the time to keep up with the MCU). And DC just has characters that I really care about.

If you were in a desert island… Who o with what do you keep?

So I’m guessing the Who part means I can have a person with me? In which case I choose Green Beetle, because he’s a Martian and he has a ship that can come pick us up and we can leave. I don’t have the time or patience to be stranded on an island.

Also I think I’d die really easily on my own.

People I care about who also care about me.

Favorite videogame/book?

I really don’t play a lot of videogames, but Quest for Glory and Magic Knight Rayearth for the Sega Saturn have always been special to me.

Lost and Found (A Sanders Sides Tangled AU)

“Virgil!” Roman cried as he pulled himself through the window. “I thought I’d never see…”

Virgil was chained to a pillar, a rag tied over his mouth. He screamed as Roman felt fangs sink into the tender flesh of his neck.

Changing back into his human form, Deceit shoved Roman to the floor, ignoring Virgil’s screams. “Now, look what you’ve done.”

Tears began to stream down Virgil’s cheeks as Roman’s face grew pale.

“Oh, don’t worry dear.” Deceit stepped over the thief. “Our secret will die with him.”

Virgil threw himself against his chains, desperately trying to reach Roman. Deceit knelt down and unlocked the chains. “As for us - we are going where no one will ever find you again.”

Deceit tugged, not expecting the strength from Virgil. He heard a squeak, feeling something tug on the bottom of his cloak. Irritated, he kicked the little green thing, sending it flying across the room. Virgil tugged harder, still letting out cries behind the rag.

“Virgil, really!” He yanked on the chain, dragging Virgil across the floor. “Enough already! Stop fighting me!”

As the rag loosened and fell to his neck, Virgil fell to the floor. “No! I won’t stop! For every minute of the rest of my life, I’ll fight you! I will never stop trying to get away from you! And I’m never singing for you again!”

Virgil panted, watching as Deceit took in his words. “But...if - if you let me save him...I’ll go with you. Willingly.”

“No! No, Virgil, don’t -” Roman coughed, blood splattering onto his clothes. He twisted, reaching for the dagger in his belt.

Emile let out a squeak, lying on the floor.

“I’ll never run. I won’t try to escape. Just let me heal him...and I’ll stay with you forever. Everything - everything can go back to the way it was. I promise. Just let - let me heal him.”

Deceit gave Virgil a dead eyed stare, weighing his options. “Fine.”

Carefully taking the chains off of Virgil, he headed over to Roman. Once the chains were in place, he clicked them shut on Roman’s hands. “Just in case you get any ideas about following us.”

Roman coughed, trying to sit up. Virgil helped him into a sitting position, tears blurring his vision. The skin around the bite marks on Roman’s neck were already turning green. “Roman, I’m so sorry. Everything - everything is going to be okay. I promise, I promise!”

“No, Virge.”

“You just have to trust me.” Virgil moved, draping his hair over Roman’s neck. “Come on, just breathe.”

“I can’t let you do this.” Roman choked out, wrapping his fingers around Virgil’s wrist.

Touching their foreheads together, Virgil brought his other hand to Roman’s cheek. “Roman, no. I can’t - I can’t let you die.”

“But if you do this...he’ll take you. You’ll die.”

“It’s gonna be alright.”

Taking a deep breath, Virgil prepared to sing.

“Wait.”

Brushing the silver strands back, Roman leaned in. Once their noses had brushed together, Roman gathered the hair in one hand, slicing it off with his dagger. His hand fell to the floor, his strength finally giving out.

“Roman!”

“NO!” Deceit roared.

The silver began to dissipate from the hair, leaving a chocolate brown color in its wake.

“No, no, NO!” He gathered up the hair in his arms, but it was too late. “What have you done?!”

Tumbling to the mirror, Deceit watched the snakeskin take over. He shrank, turning into his true viper self. A hiss left his mouth.

He turned and raced toward Virgil, fangs bared.

Moving quickly, Virgil grabbed the discarded dagger, closed his eyes, and swung. There was a slicing sound and a thud.

As Virgil opened his eyes, he saw the snake’s head on the floor.

Deceit was dead.

A small squeak had Virgil turning back. Emile sat on Roman’s chest.

“Roman!”

Virgil picked up his head, cradling it in his arms. A cough gave him the tiniest bit of hope.

“Please, please! Stay with me! Look at me…” The hope vanished as Roman’s movement slowed. Grabbing his hand, Virgil put it into his hair. “Flower gleam and glow, letyourpowershine. Maketheclockreversebringbackwhatoncewasmine -”

“Virgil.” Roman managed to get out, his hand tightening in the short locks.

Tears once more blurred Virgil’s vision. “Ro…”

Roman felt himself fading and knew he had to admit his true feelings. “You were my new dream.”

“You -” Virgil sniffed, holding him ever tighter. “You were mine.”

Breathing his last breath, Roman died in Virgil’s arms.

Virgil pulled his body closer, continuing to sing. “Heal what has been hurt. Ch-change the Fates’ design. Save what has been lost. Bring back what once was mine. What once was mine.”

Hugging Roman tightly, Virgil began to sob. He felt the tears slip down his cheeks, no doubt dripping onto Roman’s face.

A bright light forced Virgil to pull back. He saw silver tendrils spreading out from Roman’s neck, twirling around the room. A white image of a flower appeared within the light, before it all faded away, leaving Virgil in the dark.

He looked at Roman, seeing the skin had faded back to its natural color. The bite marks had completely disappeared.

Roman’s eyes fluttered open. “Virgil?”

“Roman?” Virgil held his breath, unsure if Roman was still himself.

“Did I ever tell you I have a thing for short-haired brunettes?”

“Roman!” Virgil dove into Roman’s arms.

Roman wrapped an arm around Virgil’s thin waist, rolling onto his side. He held him tightly, until he felt Virgil pulling back.

“Um, can I…” Virgil flushed red, slowly leaning in.

Grinning, Roman closed the gap, pressing their lips together.

It was sweet and passionate and everything in between. Everything he’d ever wanted, all in one single kiss. His head spun as he pulled back to breathe. “Wow.”

Virgil leaned back in immediately.

“Woah.” Roman put a hand on Virgil’s chest, stopping him in his tracks. “As much as I’d like to do that again...I think your parents deserve to see you.”

“Oh my god! My parents!” Virgil sprang to his feet. “What if...what if they don’t like me?”

“Virge. Something tells me that you’re everything they’ll ever want.”

Blood raced to Virgil’s cheeks as he saw the loving expression on Virgil’s face. “How do we get back? It took us days.”

“But now, we have a horse.” Maximus whinnied as Roman leaned out the window. He offered a hand to Virgil. “Care to get us down?”

Virgil swung his hair onto the eave, tugging to make sure it was secure. “Hold on tight.”

Roman pressed them together, grinning at the blush that covered Virgil’s face. “Don’t you worry. I’m never letting go again.”

Fic Summary:

Thomas Sanders is just a regular social media personality. But when he's bit by a spider during filming one of his YouTube videos, he finds his life turning upside down--no matter how much he and the aspects of his personality may wish otherwise.

What started as a few biological changes create a much bigger ripple in Thomas's life, and his Sides must confront what this means for themselves as well as Thomas. He'd always believed himself to be someone who tried to do the right thing. But an online threat starts having much larger implications, and Thomas and his Sides must figure out what it means to be a "hero", and just how much they're willing to risk.

Then everything stops. A feminine voice—the same one from the previous video—speaks from a dark screen. “Three hours.” The video ends.

Lost and Found (A Sanders Sides Tangled AU)

Chapter 10

Rope burned into Roman’s skin as he came to, twisting in his binds. “Virgil? Virgil!”

As he heard footsteps, he glanced up. About half of the royal guard had him surrounded. The captain easily cut him out of his binds and hoisted him up to the dock. “I didn’t think I’d find you this easily.”

“Wait, wait, you don’t understand!”

“C’mon.” The captain shoved him, heading for the castle. “Your room is already prepared.”

“Virgil!” He shouted, hoping that his voice would carry over the water.

The grip on his arms tightened. “Shut up.”

“Please, you have to -” He was cut off as the breath left his lungs.

Removing his fist from Roman’s stomach, the guard started to drag him along. “We don’t have to do anything, thief.”

Glancing back, all Roman could see was fog. Another guard tugged on his arm, making him face forward.

Resigning himself to his fate, Roman let himself be tugged along and thrown in the dungeon.

After all, Virgil probably thought he’d been abandoned. Roman had stupidly left him on the beach, promising to come back. He should’ve known that something would happen. The Stabbington brothers never played fair.

He paced in his cell all night, wondering what had happened to Virgil. Was he okay? Had he gotten away from the brothers? Maybe Max had found him.

Jingling interrupted his thoughts. He turned to find the Captain opening his cell, a solemn look on his face. “Let’s get this over with, King.”

Roman put a hand to his neck, knowing which punishment fit the crime.

He’d never see Virgil again.

Virgil trembled as he felt the last flower leave his hair.

“There. Now we can pretend that never happened.” Dorian grabbed the basket full of flowers, refusing to look at Virgil as he walked towards the kitchen area. “Wash up. I’m making hazelnut soup.”

He stopped at the edge of Virgil’s curtains, looking back. Virgil sat on his bed, eyes filled with tears, staring down at his hands.

“I warned you what was out there.” He snapped, voice growing cold. “The world is a cruel, dark, and selfish place. It always has been and it always will be.”

He closed the curtains, leaving Virgil to himself.

As soon as the footsteps had faded, Virgil opened his hands, staring at the crumpled flag he’d managed to hide. Ever so carefully, he spread it out across his lap.

Emile let out a squeak, hugging Virgil’s leg the best he could.

With a sigh, Virgil laid back, clutching the flag to his chest. He stared up at the paintings on the ceiling, knowing nothing would ever bring him joy again.

Emile let out a squeak, tapping his hand on the sun before looking up.

Virgil followed the chameleon’s gaze, eyes widening as he realized he’d somehow painted the royal symbol in the negative space. His eyes flicked around to each painting, finding the star in nearly everything he’d painted.

A gasp fell from his lips as he remembered.

The star above him.

His parents smiling down at him.

His parents.

The kings.

“It’s for the lost prince.”

A flash of himself wearing the tiara filled his mind.

Virgil gasped, falling back into his dresser.

“It’s me.”

Roman walked through the dungeon, accepting his defeat and death.

At least, that had been the plan.

All bets were off when he saw the Stabbington brothers sitting in a cell.

He threw himself into the guards, knocking them to the ground before jumping over his chains and grabbing one of them by the neck.

He slammed the brother’s face into the bars, growling. “How did you know about him? Tell me, now!”

“It wasn’t us!” He tried to pull away, groaning when he was slammed against the bars once more. “It was the old man!”

“Old man?” Snippets of Virgil talking about his Father all came back at once. Roman’s eyes widened and he struggled as the guards grabbed him again. “Wait! No! You don’t understand, he’s in trouble!”

Virgil heard Dorian yelling, asking if he was alright. He walked through the curtains, still reeling from his discovery.

“I’m the lost prince.” He whispered, holding tightly to the fabric.

Dorian rolled his eyes. “What have I told you about mumbling?”

“I am the lost prince. Aren’t I?” Virgil glared at Dorian. The slight widening of his eyes was enough of an answer. “Did I mumble, Father? Actually, I shouldn’t even call you that.”

Recovering quickly, Dorian waved a hand in the air. “Please, Virgil, do you hear yourself? How could someone like you be a prince.”

“Stop it! Stop...belittling me!”

Knowing he’d been caught, Dorian’s face grew cold. “I protected you. Gave you a home.”

“You locked me in a tower!” Virgil screamed, shoving past Dorian and heading down the stairs. “You told me that people would want to steal my power. It was just you who wanted it.”

“It’s not like you have anywhere else to go.” Dorian smirked, waving a hand in the air. Scales raced up his jaw as a visual of Roman pinned by the guards floated in the air. “He can’t be there for you.”

“What did you do?!”

“He’s a thief, Virgil.” Dorian waved his hand again, stalking toward the trembling boy. “By royal decree, a thief is hanged for his crimes.”

Tears blurred Virgil’s vision. “No!”

“Shh, it’s all right. If you just forget about all this, I’ll let you stay here.” Dorian reached out to pat Virgil’s hair.

Shooting his hand out, Virgil grabbed Dorian’s wrist. “NO! You were wrong. About the world, about Roman, about me. I will never let you use my hair again!”

With a shove, Dorian stumbled back into the wall. He stared as Virgil straightened up and started to walk away.

“You want me to be the bad guy?” He let his magic flow up his arms, ignoring the stinging itch of the scales. “Fine. Now I’m the bad guy.”

Lead down the corridor, this time bound and chained, Roman continued to struggle. Each time, the guards tightened his bindings until he was practically being carried.

A pink unicorn set in an alcove caught Roman’s eye as they walked. He grinned, stopping dead in his tracks.

All the doors around them slammed shut, making the guards around him jump.

The captain banged on a door. “Hey! Open up!”

“What’s the password?” An all too familiar voice asked.

“What?”

“Nope.”

“Open this door!” The guard slammed his fist against the wood.

“Not even close.”

“You have three seconds!”

As the captain counted, the guards holding Roman were taken and knocked out. He grinned and waved as the captain turned around, only to be knocked out by one of the thugs wielding a frying pan.

“Who knew, right?” Roman asked, gesturing toward the cookware. “Now can you -”

The door behind him splintered as the rest of the royal guard came pouring through. Roman shrieked as the thug tugged him through the doorway. They sprinted down the corridor, the guards right on their tail.

They ran past Ulf, who began to mime, before continuing their way out into the courtyard. More of the guards poured in, blocking all exits.

Gunnar grabbed Roman, setting him down. “Head down.”

“Head down.” Roman repeated, doing as he was told.

“Arms in.”

“Knees apart.”

“Knees apa- wait, what?” Roman gave him a confused look. “Why do I need to keep my knees apAAAAAAAA!”

A scream fell from his mouth as he flew through the air, turning into a wheeze as he landed. He opened his eyes finding himself in Max’s saddle.

“You brought them here?”

The horse let out an agreeing sound.

“Oh, thank you!” Roman threw his arms around Max’s neck. “I’m so sorry about everything. Maybe we -”

The horse stared at him.

“Let’s just go.”

Roman grabbed the reins, merely holding on as Max leapt. They landed on a nearby house, scattering their shingles - which Roman fully intended to remember and replace - before landing in the middle of town.

“Okay, Max. How fast can you run?”

The horse took off at a blazing speed, jumping over branches and avoiding holes as Roman lead him to the hidden tower.

As soon as it was in view, Roman jumped off Max’s back and darted to the base. “Virgil? Virgil, let down your hair!”

When nothing happened, Roman ran forward, digging his fingers into the stones, desperately trying to climb the tower.

He sighed with relief when the silver strands were tossed out the window.

Heart pounding, Roman made his way to the top of the tower, wanting nothing more than to see Virgil again.

HDWGH 7 Month Anniversary + Long Overdue Appreciation

It actually is happening on my birthday! Woooooo!!! Aging, yay!

Even though it's been 7 months since I left for Phoenix and had the time of my life, I still can't fathom just how amazing the whole experience truly was. Heck, it doesn't even feel real sometimes, like it was all just a really, REALLY good dream.

I'm so glad to have met so many wonderful people, and hang out with Seán, and just goof and feel like I have nothing to hide. Honestly, the entire night was one I can never, EVER forget.

And since then, I feel that I've come so far! In fact, I ended up getting an email from myself back in high school (from a site called FutureMe, which basically sends emails to you in the future and acts as a sort of time capsule), and found just how much things have changed (with some pictures on the side too, because I'm not THAT heartless):

💙 I've become much happier with myself and my life, and while I'm not 100% happy all the time, I'm certainly doing much better than I was last year!

💙 All of the people I've met! A big shoutout to the JSE community, Connor Army, Markiplier community, and everyone else in between. You all played a part in my evolution as a human being and I truly feel that without you, I wouldn't have realized my full potential quite as soon, if at all!

💙 So many of y'all have come so far too! Don't forget, I wouldn't have even a fraction of a pedestal to stand on if it weren't for the support and funnies that I've seen in each of the communities on Tumblr, Amino, and other platforms.

💙 I'm still a sarcastic, nerdy dork of a human being, but now I'm a sarcastic, nerdy dork of a human who feels like almost nothing is impossible if you put in some dedication and work (gods, I think Seán may have influenced me more than I thought XD)

To be perfectly honest, I could ramble about this all day, but ya girl here needs to eat something and head off for some fun life stuffs on the day of the hap borth. But, long story short, I wanted to make an anniversary post about the tour (big thankies to everyone working it -- JP, Tucker, Brent, Justin, Vernon, Stella, Jack and Seán 💚 Love you dorks), and of course, to thank all the lovely community members that have shaped my life for the better. You may not know how much you've contributed, but let me tell you, it was enough for me to slowly but surely get out of a rut that I thought I could never crawl out of.

I don't know where I'd be (heck, idek how I even got HERE tbh) without having you guys to be my muses and my go-to sources for advice or funnies of all kinds. Thank you so much for being the gifts I received in my life long before I turned 19 today 💜
