I'm mostly neutral on it, but I don't think it deserves the hate it gets. My biggest complaint about it is that I can't stand the pig noises (they're one of my misophonia triggers, though not as bad as the fly noises in Planet of the Dead).

A Court of Thorns and Roses for reverse hot takes

I really enjoyed the first 2 books! A friend recommended it to me and lent me her copies. I'd been in a reading slump for awhile, not really knowing what to read or really liking anything I read, but Thorns and Roses was the first book in a while that I could get into. I thought Feyre was a cool character, the world and its lore was interesting, and the plot was interesting too. Sure, I recognized its flaws (within the text and the writing itself) but I still really enjoyed it and reading about Feyre and Tamlin and Lucien and the beauty and the beast thing they had going on. Mist and Fury I also liked, because of the portrayal of Feyre's ptsd and just seeing the aftermath of all of this fuckery, and the plot twist of the love triangle was different from other books I had read so that was interesting, and going deeper into the fae world and all these new characters was fun.

So yeah! I had fun reading them, and I probably would have fun reading the others as well if I ever got around to it, even if I didn't like a lot of what happened in them.

I think it’d be cooler if the Doctor had a gun and used it, like, all the time, like a real badass, instead of this boring “talking to people” stuff and nerdy science shit, and also maybe instead of trying to “save” everyone (because “I’ve never met anybody who wasn’t important” or whatever), he was on a cool vengeance mission or something? Against the Master maybe? But they should not kiss, because the Master is evil. Also, the Doctor should totally be a white man again, forever.
