So, story time!

Back in the eighties when I was a kid there was a TV show that ran for 1 season called Wizards and Warriors. It was a parody of a fantasy show starring Jeff Conway (Kinicki in Grease) as the hero and Julia Duffy as a spoiled princes.  But the villain of the show was a character named Prince Dirk Blackpool. He was played by a Canadian actor named Duncan Regher who had black hair (admittedly badly styled - it was the 80′s), great cheekbones, dressed in black leather and metal, and had a tragic back story that involved something about his father being cruel to him, emotionally abusive, and his turning evil in an effort to prove himself.

So, there I was, all of 9 or 10 years old, watching this with my family, and I knew AT THAT MOMENT that I could care less about Good Prince Eric or Sweet Princess whatever her name was, my heart irrevocably belonged to the eeeeevil (but really misunderstood) Dirk Blackpool. No one understood this (although my mother thought he was hot), but I would fantasize at night about him kidnapping me and all the hazy, not quite understood eeeeevil things that he would do to me. 

I don’t know why I suddenly felt the need to share this, but as I was reading Loki fic tonight, it sudden popped into my mind that after thirty-some years my taste has not changed one single iota. I am still a sucker for the dark prince with piercing eyes and a lifetime of daddy issues. 

I guess my point is, isn’t it interesting how we deviants are what we are from such a young age? So, here’s to the ones who have always known that the troubled souls and tormented minds are where the true blorbos lie. And that they are the ones who really, really know how to fuck.

Duncan Regehr (V, Wizards and Warriors, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)- In Wizards and Warriors, a show that would be tagged 'crack treated seriously' if it were a fic on AO3, he played the villainous Prince Dirk Blackpool and he owned the role. Tall, dark and handsome with a background in theatrical fencing, he made the dark side look good. He was quietly menacing in the part and no one to be trifled with, but he also conveyed an underlying vulnerability hinted at in mentions of a past friendship with the show's hero and moments of cat cuddling. (Yes, cat cuddling, and it was purring up a storm on his lap. So jealous.)

Robertson approved to start major Blackpool hotel

Robertson Construction has been given the go-ahead to start demolition work next week for phase two of Blackpool’s £100m Talbot Gateway city centre regeneration.

This phase will see the town’s existing Wilko store torn down, the completion of the new tramway interchange at Blackpool North Station, a new underpass, a four-star Holiday Inn hotel and restaurant, and new retail outlets.

Robertson Construction Group has been appointed jointly by Blackpool Council and development partner, Muse Developments to carry out construction work which is expected to take around two years.

Dirk Pittaway, Managing Director, Robertson North West, said: “Both Blackpool Council and Muse Developments have shown real commitment and drive in continuing to progress the project during recent months.

“Clear procedures, including social distancing, will be in place to ensure the safety of everyone involved on site.”

One of the human characters I sculpted featured on this page. I actually sculpted several human “good guy” characters but I’m only happy with two of them, and ones a “bad guy”. Cain Reapis is the only human villain in the story. While Cain Reapis came out okay, he would have looked better with a more muscular frame. I hate to say it, but he reminds me of Han Solo’s son in the new Star Wars movies. Just for the record, Cain Reapis was sculpted back in early 2015, before the new Star Wars movie was released so Han Solo’s son was definitely not an inspiration. To be perfectly honest, I had Dirk Blackpool from Wizards & Warriors in mind while sculpting Cain Reapis. I don’t think you can tell looking at the figure. I have no plans of redoing Cain Reapis soon because the inspiration just isn’t there at present. Bio The only son of King Korbus, Caine Reapis is the ruler over the dark kingdom of Valhomach. He was raised by the Black Wizard Witals Atrox and Naggana. A skilled fighter, he is as arrogant as he is merciless. His only desire is for the complete conquest of Kimel Drago. He believes the Black Wizard Witalis Atrox will help him achieve this goal since he is the only father he has ever known but the evil wizard could have another agenda in mind. Boleh dibilang, para pemain terbaik yang datang ke Anfield antara tahun 1990 hingga 2020 adalah mereka yang ‘tidak mendapatkan apa-apa’ alias tidak dibeli dengann mahal, yakni para lulusan akademi seperti Robbie Fowler, Steven Gerrard, Carragher, Michael Owen dan Trent Alexander-Arnold. Namun, di sisi lain, para pemain seperti Virgil van Dijk, Alisson dan Naby Keita – tiga pemain yang didatangkan dengan transfer mahal selama kurun waktu tersebut, berhasil membuktikan bahwa mereka pemain penting dan ikut membawa Liverpool meraih gelar ke-19 mereka.
