ink: what do you do to “set the mood” when writing?

If I’m in the mood to write I don’t really need to “set the mood.” If I need to force it however, like I need to write a school paper, going to the library or starbucks usually helps. Otherwise, I appreciate a good cup of coffee and select playlist off of spotify

narrator: what pov do you like writing in best?

third person limited. I like filtering things through a character and using their speech patterns and phrasing, but it’s not too limiting the way first person is. I think I enjoy reading first person versus writing it. 

characterization: describe your favorite character(s) you’ve written.

in terms of fanfiction I deeply enjoy/ed Cullen from the dragon age series because it’s very satisfying to write someone that has struggled and is getting their life back. I also love his partner Lydia because she’s gone through so much but still survives. I love Sophie because I’ve never seen a female character quite like her before--whimsical, romantic, all sorts of things. And now I love Jaime because he’s my lion turned house cat, lol. 

no I love him, he’s got chaotic dumbass energy with such a joie de vivre but underneath it all he has ISSUES (don’t we all.)
