🖤 Blog dedicated to Dreamcatcher 🖤

Hello! It's @ni-kol-koru from another blog! I finally decided that it was time to open another account to separate my interests, and this one will be dedicated to Dreamcatcher!

Some of you know that I am a big Dreamcatcher fan! I am an InSomnia for years! I even went to their concert in Warsaw, which was one of the best experiences and one of my favorite memories ever! From time to time, I like to post something related to Dreamcatcher, something from the concert, something from my collection or simply like and reblog things I find under their tag. I used to do it on my other account that was mostly for reblogging, liking and posting content related to Kuroko no Basuke and interacting with the wonderful people in the fandom! Having posts related to other topics on that blog always felt kind of out of place, so I usually restrained myself from posting anything that was not KuroBasu related... So, because I want to continue posting, reblogging and liking Dreamcatcher content, as well as meet more Somnies, I decided to open this account!

I can't wait to meet some new people, make new friends and share my love for Dreamcatcher through this blog!

When I first heard Dreamcatcher's Demian I didn't immediately recognize the origin of the title, but after doing some research I found out it could only refer to Hermann Hesse's 1917/1919 novel of the same name. So I wanted to do an analysis of how the song lyrics took inspiration from the book, but all the translations I could find weren't quite as good or useful as I hoped for, so I just translated the lyrics myself, and this is it!

Celebrating 6 years on Tumblr and a number of followers I thought I would never reach, I would like to repay you for your love and support in the form of a request event. Writing is a hobby of mine that allows me to escape, to push my boundaries, and to leave an impact on readers. As voted by you, readers, in a previous poll of mine, you can request stories based on genres, settings, but you can also throw a prompt into the mix.

HOW DOES THAT WORK?

You send me an ask with a genre and/or setting and a certain idol in mind, but you can add a prompt from these lists as well (they might help with certain settings):

I decide on how long the story will be, but I plan on writing stories less than 5k for this event (so expect drabbles and one-shots)

Dreamcatcher(드림캐쳐) 8th Mini Album [Apocalypse : From us] Description

Dreamcatcher is saying ‘farewell’ to listeners with title track ‘BON VOYAGE’. Last year, MAISON and VISION had messages warning about the crisis of the Earth. Through the new release, Dreamcatcher will show the unraveling of human emotions. The finale to the Apocalypse universe will brilliantly finish; ‘From Us’, ‘To. You’.

This past 15th, Dreamcatcher’s 8th mini album ‘Apocalypse: From us’ track list was released through official SNS channels. According to the released track list, the album’s title song ‘BON VOYAGE’ means farewell in French; ‘have a great trip’, ‘have a good long journey’. The mini album also includes ‘Intro: From us’, ‘DEMIAN’, ‘Propose’, and ‘To. You’, a total of 5 tracks. Dreamcatcher will be closing out the Apocalypse trilogy series, and as the global KPOP messengers, InSomnia around the world are looking forward to the content of their farewell.

On the 17th through their official SNS channels, Dreamcatcher revealed their mystery lyrics video spoiler for their title track BON VOYAGE. In the video, Dreamcatcher is enjoying the natural sunshine and wind with fresh trees and thick forest in the background. The 7 people’s smiles mixed with the gorgeous atmosphere makes us feel good. This of course stimulates our curiosity about BON VOYAGE. It’s dreamy, and the melody build up on BON VOYAGE has fans guessing what these veiled words from the lyrics could mean.

‘I finally feel you now / in this endless journey / Embracing you into ○○ of dreams’

In addition, as producer Ollounder who has collaborated with Dreamcatcher for a long time is a support for the song recordings, we can again expect a strong rock sound structure, highly anticipating the group’s colors to be shown.

Dreamcatcher’s 8th mini album will be the finale to their universe. Last year’s title song MAISON and VISION had messages about dangers to the Earth. Through this new release Dreamcatcher will show the unraveling of human emotions; incorporating joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure, ending the trilogy of Apocalypse. i really hate to disappoint but demian isn't niche in korea, it's in their literature syllabus for schools 😭😭 but it's still very cool that so many kpop idols reference it and it's even cooler when they show that they have an actual interest in books (like rm and def taemin!)

its not disappointing rly ive heard hermann hesse is quite popular there ! its still very interesting tho bcs even if it may be their equivalent of our great gatsby or wtv that doesnt mean its less valuable just bcs its more popular...the story is sooooo intersting and compelling, there is a reason some books are used in school, its bcs theyre challenging and thought provoking ! demian is also just soooo taemin and im so excited to see how he uses it as a framework for his future concept(s)!!!
