Celebrating 6 years on Tumblr and a number of followers I thought I would never reach, I would like to repay you for your love and support in the form of a request event. Writing is a hobby of mine that allows me to escape, to push my boundaries, and to leave an impact on readers. Even if you crack a smile, laugh at the words or feel understood by them, I'm truly honoured that you've joined me on this journey. 💞

Now, onto the good stuff.

As voted by you, readers, in a previous poll of mine, you can request stories based on genres, settings, but you can also throw a prompt into the mix.

HOW DOES THAT WORK?

You send me an ask with a genre and/or setting and a certain idol in mind, but you can add a prompt from these lists as well (they might help with certain settings):

I decide on how long the story will be, but I plan on writing stories less than 5k for this event (so expect drabbles and one-shots)

There's no deadline by which I plan on posting your story, it depends on how much time I have beside my full-time job and how much inspiration I have for your requested story - so please, bear with me, I'll get around to it as soon as I can 🥰

One user can request up to 2 stories - for tagging reasons, I kindly ask you to let me know about the blog you want me to tag in case you would write the ask on anon (for instance, if your main blog isn't kpop-related, you can write on anon and tell me your kpop sideblog's URL/username)

I close the requests after receiving 12 requests or by 30th September - whichever comes first

When He Surprises You During His Enlistment ~ A.C.E Reaction

Donghun:

Your eyes lit up as you noticed your phone buzzing beside you, answering the call as soon as you noticed Donghun’s name on the screen.

“What are your plans today?” He asked you as soon as you greeted him, glancing up at your apartment from the bottom of the block. “Are you still at home or are you out somewhere?”

“I’m at home,” you responded suspiciously, “how come you’re so interested in my plans?”

Donghun laughed to himself before replying to you, “if you’re at home then walk towards the kitchen window. When you’re there, I want you to look down.”

“What are you up to?” You sighed, following Donghun’s instructions as you walked towards the window before looking down, noticing someone staring up.

“Are you looking down? Can you see anything there?”

Your head shook in disbelief, “I guess you’re stood outside my apartment block to give me some plans for my day after all.”

“I can go back to base if you want me to,” Donghun teased.

“No way, I’m on my way down now.”

Wow:

It felt deflating for you as you arrived home, watching the last few hours of your birthday pass by as the night quickly began to draw in.

“Have you had a good day?” A voice asked you as you walked towards the window of your apartment to look out of the window, spotting a few individuals who walked around the streets.

“Hm,” you murmured, confused as to what was going on as you heard a voice around you.

Sehyoon chuckled as he watched your eyes flicker up before looking back out of the window. “Y/N,” he called out to you, watching the confusion on your face.

“W-who? What?” You quizzed, following the sound of the voice to see Sehyoon looking back at you with a wide smile on his face, his eyes following you as you moved.

“You didn’t think that I’d miss your birthday, did you?”

It took a moment for it to sink in for you that Sehyoon was looking back at you. “You’re not supposed to be here, you’re busy.”

“You just think I’m not supposed to be,” Sehyoon laughed.

“This is the best birthday gift ever.”

Jun:

You tried your best to ignore the hand that tapped on your shoulder as you listened to your friend, getting more and more frustrated with them.

“I think someone wants your attention,” one of your friends told you. You were unaware of who was behind you, assuming that just like usual it would be one of Junhee’s fans wanting you.

“I’m trying to…oh,” you trailed off as you turned around and saw who was wanting you.

You had never seen Junhee’s smile so wide as he watched you stand up from where you were sat. “Sorry to interrupt, but I thought there’d be room for one more.”

“You’re supposed to be with your mates on your day off,” you sighed, shaking your head back across to Junhee. “You’re not supposed to be here, what are you doing here?”

“I could be with my mates, or be with my best mate.”

You were flustered as Junhee walked towards you and pulled you into his side. “Has the military suddenly made you soppy now?”

“No, I’ve just missed you a lot,” Junhee quickly confessed.

“I’ve missed you so much more, Junhee.”

Byeongkwan:

A sharp intake of breath came from you as you walked through the front door and saw a familiar face stretched out across the length of your sofa.

“Welcome home,” Byeongkwan chuckled as he watched your expression turn up in surprise, blinking several times to make sure that you were really seeing what you thought you were seeing.

“What are you doing here? Aren’t you supposed to be busy?” You questioned, stuttering.

Byeongkwan nodded as he stood up and opened his arms out to you. “I’ve got a day off so I thought where would I like to go to spend my day? Here, of course.”

“You didn’t even tell me that you were coming,” you scolded, hitting your hand against Byeongkwan’s arm. “You could’ve messaged, the whole place is a mess right now Kwan.”

“I don’t care, I’m just happy that I’m here with you.”

You finally walked into Byeongkwan’s open arms and rested against his chest. “You might have to pinch me for a little while you know.”

“How about I just keep talking to you instead?” He jokingly offered.

“That definitely works well for me too.”

Chan:

Your smile was faint as you opened the door to your apartment to see Yuchan staring back at you, letting go of a chuckle as you stepped aside.

“I’m so bored,” Yuchan explained to you as you silently invited him into your apartment. “I keep going to call out to one of the boys in the dorm and then I remember they’re not here.”

“I keep telling you that you can move in here,” you reminded Yuchan, offering him a chuckle.

He hummed as he passed you by, kicking his shoes off. “I know, but I feel bad. It’s like you’re inviting me to stay because you feel sorry for me being all by myself.”

“I’m offering because I want you here,” you corrected Yuchan as you closed the door, “I’d never say it to just feel sorry for you, I’m trying to give you a way out of feeling bored.”

“Would you really be happy to have me here with you?”

You couldn’t help but nudge Yuchan as he passed you by, “I wouldn’t ask you idiot if I wasn’t happy about the thought of you being here.”

“Hey, who are you calling an idiot?” Yuchan smirked as he met your eyes.

“You, stop fretting so much around me.”

Prompt: The care package was nothing more than a half-eaten muffin, a cracked Beyonce CD case with no CD, and a note that read, “I tried, then I realized I was hungry, bored, and didn’t really care that much.”

Really, you shouldn’t have expected much from Byeongkwan. It was a miracle you’d even gotten anything from him in the first place. Without disturbing the contents, you snapped photos of the supposed “care package” and note then added them to the group chat without a comment. They spoke volumes.

It took mere minutes for the chat to explode with messages, and a quick glance confirmed the brotherhood had turned on one of their own. To be fair, you regularly fed them and hosted their parties from time to time. You’d earned the right to a little pettiness.

About an hour later, there was a knock at the door. You knew who it was just by the force of the pounding. When you opened the door, Byeongkwan was there holding a bag of your favorite takeout, drinks, and flowers. “Well, look at you.”

“I’ve been instructed to kiss butt and enslave myself for the evening.” He said dryly. You cackled and stepped aside, welcoming him in.

“Serves you right. Can’t believe you had the balls to do that.” You closed and locked the door behind him, then led the way to the kitchen. “Where’d you even find the CD case?”

“Leftover from my high school step team days. I swore the CD was in it.” He set his apology goodies on the counter and began to unpack. “Alrighty, Miss Snitch. You eat,” he glanced at the kitchen sink, “while I get started on chores, I guess.”

“That’s very kind of you.” You batted your eyelashes at him before unwrapping a straw to attack your drink. “I also forgot to unload the dishwasher.”

“This is gonna be a long evening, isn’t it?”

“You know it.”

Called you from the airport to let you know what time he'd be back home. Exhausted but willing to do anything you want just to repay for the time off. Avoids talking about the tour for a while, work is done and now he's all focused on you.

Casually shows up at your place one day, you had no idea when his vacations started so of course you complain he didn't tell you by advance. Smiles but also tears up a little because he was missing you bad. Talks so much about every single person at the camp that you may feel like you already know them. Truth is he made plans for enjoying all his vacations with you.

Byeongkwan

Texted you right after stepping out of the camp "Are you free tonight?" Warned you in advance he's tired so you accept to stay at home and cuddle watching movies. Doesn't talk much about whatever he had gone through all this time, either made a lot of questions to you, feels more like he's trying to pretend everything remains the same than before he left.

Chan

He sounded so happy when he called you that morning to tell you he finally had his week off you freaked out after seeing how exhausted he looks. Insists everything is just fine and he's having fun at the camp but still prefers not talking much about it. A lot of hugs and kisses on the forehead before falling asleep on your shoulder. Visibly bothered for wasting his time with you sleeping.

A ⇴ ATTENTION

When you’re around, Donghun will always have one eye on you. He likes to know where you are, mainly just in case he needs you or you need him, but he won’t be any your face, usually watching just from afar.

B ⇴ BICKER

The two of you don’t mind too much when it comes to bickering with each other, but when it starts to turn a little bit personal, Donghun will halt things. He won’t mind bickering with you but when the two of you start getting annoyed with one another and take it a bit below the belt, he won’t let the two of you do that.

C ⇴ COMFORT

He’s an incredible listener, whenever you have a problem Donghun will always let you vent to him, no questions asked. You offload about everything to Donghun, even when you ask him if he’s sure that he has the time to listen to you, he always makes it and makes sure that you don’t suffer in silence with anything.

D ⇴ DISAGREEMENTS

One of the things that Donghun hates is arguing with you, he much prefers for the two of you to get along. He’ll do whatever he can to prevent an argument from happening when he senses one coming, he’s not the argumentative type at all. No matter how hard you try sometimes to make the argument happen, Donghun won’t back down and he’ll still respond incredibly calm and composed to what you say.

You’d both heard things about one another through friends before you met, which saved a bit of awkwardness when you were getting to know one another. You had a rough idea of what Donghun would be like and he had a rough idea of what you’d be like, but as you got to know each other there were still plenty of surprising things that you found out about one another that your friends hadn’t mentioned to you.

Donghun’s family were very fond of you, mainly because they saw how happy he was whenever he spent time with you. Knowing that Donghun liked being around you and that you brought something positive to his life was all that his family needed to know that you were someone that they would like too. When they first met you, their instincts had proven them right too, as they all got along with you so well.

G ⇴ GETTING TOGETHER

When the two of you got together and hung out, you’d usually go somewhere quiet and relaxed. Neither of you were fussed about anything too loud, especially when Donghun thought that a large gathering of fans would be there too, so instead you decided to focus on chilling whenever you got together.

H ⇴ HABITS

The two of you had a habit of knowing exactly when the other was feeling down, picking up on their moods straight away. You had learnt the signs with one another to know when something wasn’t quite right, and most of all you’d learnt how to tease it from each other so that they’d spill what was on their minds.

Together, you had plenty of inside jokes together, you laughed to mess around with each other which provided you with plenty of funny moments. Not many people believed that the two of you had as many inside jokes as you did, but after so many years together, you had many years that they stretched over.

He was very protective of you and conscious of the people that you hung around with, whilst Donghun would be polite to someone that he didn’t know, he would be observant too. If there was something who particularly rubbed him up the wrong way then Donghun would mention it to you, making sure though that you knew he came from a good place and that he was just guilty of looking out for you.

Donghun got a kick out of proving you wrong and being the one in the right. He was surprisingly stubborn when he was with you, especially if was convinced that you were wrong. He also loved it because there was absolutely nothing worse for you than when you realised that you were in fact in the wrong.

He loved how he never got bored whenever he spent time with you, there was always something fun and new for the two of you to try. Even if he was just sat in silence with you, Donghun often had a smile on his face as he was with you and not having to worry for a little while. The moment you’d sense that he was beginning to get bored, you’d find something to do that would cheer him back up again.

The two of you met through mutual friends at a concert that you were both invited too. You found yourselves standing together as the music played, mostly as you weren’t jumping around as much as your other friends, soon beginning to talk to one another too as you found out about other musical interests you had.

Although very few people got to see Donghun’s nonsense side, you were one of only a couple that did. You knew how much he loved to guard himself and be conscious, but he never fussed about that once with you.

Donghun was obsessed with your company, he loved spending time with you, even when you were doing nothing. When he didn’t have you around, he missed your presence, even if you had only just left him.

There was no better time for Donghun than when he just got to hang out with you, because he loved feeling as if nothing else mattered. He loved that being with you was so carefree and that he could focus on something other than music for a little while, often giving him just the rare chance to be human for once.

Whenever he had some free time, Donghun loved to take you away as a thank you for all that you did for him when he was busy, it was the least that he could do in his opinion with all that you did for him.

Prompt: A girl on a swing at night.

The night hair had a distinct quality to it, different from normal. The chill on your skin made it feel pur, almost magical. You weren’t sure how you ended up at the park, but you knew it was where you needed to be. You’d been waiting on your match for over a year now, losing hope that you even had a soulmate.

Crunching footfalls alerted you of someone approaching and when you looked up, you saw him. His head was down, brows and the bridge of his nose illuminated in purple by the digital face of his watch.

“Are you lost?” You called out. His head snapped up at the sound of your voice.

“N-no.” He held up his wrist. “I’m following my compass. It said my soulmate was...is here.” He eyed your hands, and they widened when he spotted your sensor ring. “It has to be you.”

The breathiness of his voice, the slight curve of his lips, the way his eyes sparkled in the dim lighting from the distant streetlights—all of it made the moment feel surreal. “Only one way to be sure.” You held out your hand with the sensor.

His hand shook as it grasped yours, and you gave it a reassuring squeeze. He blew out a huff of air. “I’m Seyhoon.”

You smiled and told him your name before gently brushing the ring over the back of his hand. There was a quiet hum as the device did its scan then it chirped as it turned purple, matching his device. You looked up at his face with a grin. “It’s nice to finally meet you.”

“I wasn’t convinced this would work.” His smile was oddly comforting. “But I’m glad it did.”

You gestured to the empty swing beside you. “Well, have a seat. Let’s chat. Unless you had other plans?”

He shook his head and dropped into the seat, metal chains clinking then groaning as he did. “For you, I have all the time in the world.”

Donghun

It was all a misunderstood but things escalated quickly. He shouted, you shouted back and then refrains as soon you started crying, he cries with you for a few seconds before hugs you. Needed a minute to cool down. Asks you to please try to clear it out and promises to listen carefully and try to catch your point. Apologize for losing the chill and raising his voice, too realistic to promise it won't happen again.

Wow

Honestly it's just you, he stares at you in silence confused and hurt to see you hurt. Not only listens but watch your every move trying to catch a hint of what's going on in your mind. Most likely to actually understand the problem and find a way to solve it. Waits until you stop complaining to come close and kiss your forehead. Knows exactly what to say, only uses short but effective phrases to sum it all.

Jun

Gets passive aggressive and sarcastic out of nowhere. You have no idea why he's mad but now you're angry too. Both make untasty jokes about each other until someone finally gets hurt. Fight won't last much longer, both of you rush to apologize about everything, that's the moment he open up about whatever was bothering him. Ready to sit down and have a talk about the problem but honestly he's no longer angry.

Byeongkwan

Opposite to Donghun you were the one who misunderstood something he said. You may hate him harder when he tells you he doesn't get the problem, but he genuinely doesn't get it. Apologize before he knows what's happening. Forces you to chill out when he reminds you how much you meant to him and says he wants to fix it, tears in his eyes. Least likely to understand the problem but still gonna fix it somehow.

Chan

Pretty much all of the above. Gets passive aggressive, then yell at you, stay in silence while you yell at him and then start tearing up saying he wants to fix it. Most likely to be the whole ass problem but none will admit it. All you can do is clear his mind, that's the one doing dirty to him. Ends up accepting he's both the offender and the offended, apologize a couple thousand times. Willing to do anything for your forgiveness.
