Finally! (One shot)
Pairing(s): Timothy Drake-Wayne/Marinette Dupain-Cheng
Characters: Timothy Drake-Wayne, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, and Original Female Character.
Summary: She was adamant to help her friend someone perfect for her. She saw her opportunity and gave them a little nudge. Thus, it begins. Will it finally work?
A/n: Inspired by my short prompt.
It was a regular busy morning for Graciela Kirovan the best barista in town, it was her unofficial reigning title for 5 years apparently. She didn't know how she landed herself with a coffee shop that she owned and somehow her shop brought so many couples together. Last time she checked, she didn't have any magic nor was she a meta.
She counted exactly 10 couples who were happily married that came to thank her for founding this coffee shop that led to their fateful encounter. She remembered those couples and their first meetings. She had even befriended them and they even invited her to their weddings.
It was the best feeling, she felt like cupid and her confidence rose. However, there's one thing that irked her and made her think that she had lost her mojo.
Ah! The subject of her thoughts came right on time to her shop. A beautifully petite woman came with a frazzled look. She gave the beautiful woman in front of her one of her warm smiles.
"Good Morning, Mari! The usuals?" She asked with a wink.
The woman, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, gave her a weak smile and nodded. It appears to be that she had a late night with her design project. Graciela had befriended the woman when she had first arrived in Gotham, looking for a place to have good coffee and perhaps a place to find inspiration for her designs.
Marinette had given her high praises for her brews and honestly, it made the cafe owner blush a few times. Marinette had confided that she was new in town and had no friends, well Graciela wasn't going to let that happen and offered her own hand in friendship.
Graciela then learned that Marinette is a famously known designer, however, preferred to hide behind her designer name to avoid attention. She learned that the girl came from Paris, France after the downfall of a villain that had held Paris under an emotional lockdown. That was news for the Gothamite, she didn't know that Paris has villains and superheroes.
Marinette then showed the fights that had occurred in France and introduced Graciela to the Parisian Superheroes. Ladybug was awesome. She became a fan. She would let Ladybug step on her and she would say thank you. Yes.
Anyways, Graciela then learned many things about Marinette's reason to move to Gotham. Learning about how her former friends treated her had Graciela's blood boiling. Since then, she had become fast friends with the designer to the point where she even let her stay after closing hours to let her immerse herself in her sketchbook.
"Thank you so much, Graciela. You have no idea how stressful this week had been for me." Marinette groaned as she roled her neck, the barista could even hear a few pops that made her wince.
"Ooof sounds like I need to up the caffeine. Go take a seat. I'll be sure to bring your orders when it is finished."
"Thanks Graciela you're an angel."
"I get that a lot." She winked and watched the sleep-deprived designer wobble her way to her usual seat. As she shout out the order another regular customer came to the counter in the same exact sleep-deprived state as Marinette was.
Wow, Deja vu much?
"Hey, Tim. Late night?" Graciela asked with a concerned smile.
"You have no idea." He whined and if it weren't for proper decorum, Graciela would bet her savings that Tim would collapse in front of her cashier right there and then. Graciela's eyes moved to where Marinette was sitting and a brilliant thought occurred in her head. Remember the thing that irked her so much that she thought he had lost her mojo of bringing people together?
Yeah, when Graciela got to know of Marinette, the girl had confided to the barista how sucky her love life had been. It has been Graciela's personal project to find someone for her lovely friend and so far she hadn't found one. However, Tim here would do nicely! How had she not considered him all this time is a big question mark to her! She looked back at the sleep-deprived man and winced to herself.
Okay, she knew why hadn't thought of him. If they were ever to actually date one another, it would become a disaster. Two caffeine-ridden zombies do not sound like a good couple match, but she digresses. Perhaps, it could work.
The shop was indeed filled with people and Marinette's table has one empty seat. Coincidence? SHE. THINKS. NOT!
Is she going to pull her famous cupid hands to nudge her favorite sleep-deprived people to meet? Yes. Yes, she will. Will she regret ever introducing them to each other? Probably. Will one of Tim's brothers blame her for actually finding Tim a perfect soulmate? Most Definitely.
Does she care? NOPE.
"There's an open seat right over there, but you gotta ask the lady if she's willing to share. I got a feeling you'll meet a fellow brethren there." Graciela offered while pointing at Marinette's table.
Tim narrowed his eyes, but didn't complain and nodded, "Thanks, Grace. Can you-"
"I'll send your orders to your table. Don't sweat it. Go on, before you pass out standing again."
Tim muttered something before wobbling his way to the seat that she had mentioned. Graciela watched with knowing eyes as Tim said something to Mari and she replied with a gesture, her eyes never leaving her sketchbook. Tim finally took a seat and takes out his laptop.
Graciela giggled, she gave them about a month or two before the two decided to date. She's looking forward to seeing them falling in love with one another. After all, her coffee shop is famous for getting fated lovers together! HER MOJO IS BACK, BABY!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Here we are, two extra strong Golden Ambrosia, a Pain Au Chocolat for Marinette and Madeline for Tim! Enjoy, you two!" Graciela happily announced as she served them their orders. The two shared a look at their preferred beverage and shared a smile. Graciela watched them with a well-hidden squeal, 'It's happening!!!!' She thought excitedly. "I'll let you two be. Got to run a shop after all!"
Marinette finally noticed her seatmate across her and shyly reached over for her drink. The guy looked as frazzled and zombie-like as she was and she could definitely empathize with him. "Rough, night?" She asked with a quirked brow.
The guy snorted as he took a sip of his drink as well, relishing the energizing nectar going through his body. "You have no idea." He muttered tiredly. "I've been on a strict caffeine diet with no sleep for 3 days straight and my work is nowhere done."
"Mood." She nodded in agreement. "I've been on my caffeine diet with no sleep for 5 days straight and my commission is nowhere done as well. I feel like my blood has been slowly transitioning into coffee and the only thing that could refuel me is this sweet nectar."
The guy looked at Marinette tearfully and was dabbing his eyes with a tissue. "I've found my brethren." He sniffled dramatically and reached forward with a fist bump.
"Brethren." She sniffled back and gives him a fist bump. They look at each other in silence before bursting out in giggles and snorts. "My name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng."
"Timothy Drake." He nodded. With that, they stare at each other before going back to their respective activity. Every once in a while, one of them would look up and start a conversation, they'd share stories about their respective job and work, then they would continue their work in silence again.
It was easy and peaceful, at one point they finished what they were working on for today and struck up another conversation. Marinette shared about her life in Gotham and the differences between Paris and Gotham. Tim would then share about his siblings and the things that he would do in his daily life. They then began to argue about theories and unsolved cases, a side hobby that the two happened to like.
Through all this Graciela had watched both of them with a secretive smile. Happy to see Marinette acting so carefree with a stranger and glad that Tim could talk without feeling uncomfortable with a new face. Everything is going very smoothly and the barista pats herself on the back for giving them a little nudge to sit together.
'Good job, me. I can hear the wedding bells already.' She smiled stupidly at herself.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was nearing closing hours and when Graciela look at her new favorite pet project they were huddled together in front of Tim's laptop. They were sharing Tim's earphones and every once in a while the two would discuss with one another, sometimes they agree sometimes they'd disagree, and then they would go back to watching at Tim's laptop. Graciela decided that she would finish cleaning up her shop before she has to sadly interrupts them.
After making sure that everything is spotless, Graciella moved to her seat and clears her throat softly. "I'm sorry, my two favorite zombies. But I'm closing for today." She said with a sympathetic smile.
Marinette gasped in surprise, "Merde! I didn't realize that I'd been here that long! I am so sorry Graciela! Time flows so fast here!"
Tim was equally surprised but for another reason. He had spent his day talking to this woman that she had met and he had never felt this much fun talking with another person! It is just like they say, time flies when you're having fun. "I'm sorry too, Graciela. I swear that I thought I was only here for a couple hours, not the whole day!" He stated while looking at his phone to check the time, sure enough, it was past dinner time already and he had missed a few calls from Alfred and his siblings. "I'm sorry but I have to go! I've overstayed my welcome already."
"Oh nonsense, Tim! You know you can come here and stay here as long as you want! It's just, today I do have some plans for myself." Graciela waved off his concern.
"Oh, thank you, Graciela. Again, you are an Angel!" Marinette complimented her as she packs up her stuff. Tim was ready to go before he looked back at Marinette with a calculative look. Graciela watches with a knowing look as he took a napkin and scribbled down what Graciela hopes is his number.
"Hey, uh... Marinette? I had a lot of fun talking to you, would you mind if we meet again sometime for coffee like this? If you don't here's my number." He offered the napkin to her. " I-I mean if you don't want to that's fine as well!"He retracted as he scratch his cheek nervously.
The designer stared at the napkin dumbly for a while and started blushing as she shyly reached for the napkin. "I'd love to. U-um...I'll text you sometime tonight?" She asked meekly.
Tim gave her a huge smile, glad that she reached over for the napkin. "I'll be waiting." He answered, he left some money on the table not bothering to wait for any change, and left the shop with a huge grin on his face.
Graciela huffed at him but looked at Marinette with a knowing grin. "Make sure you text him, Mari." She wiggled her eyebrows with a smug smile. Marinette made a squeaky sound as her face became so red that Graciella almost thought that she could combust soon.
The designer grumbled incoherently under her breath, left some money on the table, kissed Graciela's cheek, and left the shop after shouting out her thanks. The shop owner then noticed that both of them had left ridiculous amounts of money on her table before huffing to herself.
"Rich people."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Time flows as Graciela watches the two spend more time together. Her coffee shop began their constant place to meet for their 'not-a-date' date, Graciela would watch them sometimes have coffee and work together or actually hang out together without working.
She would listen to Marinette gushing out about Tim's intelligence and how solving cold cases has been so much fun and one of their activities in their 'not-a-date' date, she listens as her friend would swoon about the times Tim would give his amazing smiles and his cute snorts when they have their banter together, she smiles as her friend would go soft as she talks about the time they spent together in her shop.
Just like the shop owner had predicted, they eventually dated after two months of pining for one another. Luckily, she had been there to witness the hilarious moment.
It was after the shop closing hours and Graciela had joined the duo, silently watching them in their famous theory discussion. Marinette was animatedly explaining her thoughts while Tim was watching her fondly. At one point, Graciela had skillfully and secretly taken out her phone to record the moment.
"And that's why I think that the father is a very obvious suspect in the murder! Don't you think so, Tim?" She looked up to find Tim with a ridiculous fond smile. Now, they were both staring at each other, lost in a romantic silence. Graciela wanted to squeal but she knew she had to keep quiet because she felt like something good is about to happen.
She was right.
"I'm in love with you." Tim breathed out dreamily. Marinette's eyes widened and she flushed furiously.
"W-whaaa-"
When Tim finally noticed what he had said he blushed furiously too. "Crap- Uh...That's not how I want you to hear my confession. I-i swear I had everything planned out! I was going to take you for a dinner and I have this gift ready for you and- shit...I messed up." He rambled nervously. Marinette watched him fumble through his words and her smile became equally as soft as Tim's had been.
"I'm in love with you too." She answered and gently placed her hand on his to calm Tim down from his tirade. The man in question looks at her in shock before grinning widely.
"You do?" Marinette nodded and smiled shyly at him. Tim relaxed his tense shoulder and smiled warmly in return.
"FINALLY!" Their moment was interrupted by an elated giggle. They finally remembered that Graciela had been there the whole time and had been recording the confession as well. "I'm going to play this during your wedding ceremony! Make sure to invite me, okay??? Oh, I'm so happy for you two!!! My favorite Caffeine Zombies ship is sailing!!!!" She giggled excitedly and laughed at their blushing faces.
It was a very happy moment.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After that momentous day, they began to date. A year later, Marinette came to her with a piece of very exciting news! The night before had been their 1 year anniversary and Tim had proposed! Graciela squealed excitedly and hugged her best friend.
"I'm so so soooo happy for you Marinette!" She cried as she hugged her friend tightly.
"Thank you, Grace. If it hadn't been for your coffee shop. We wouldn't have met each other." Marinette whispered thankfully as she returned the hug equally tight. "Here's your invite, by the way. I'm also asking you to be my maid of honor, would you like that?" She asked unsurely.
"BITCH, I'd love to! I'm going to have to make a speech right? Cuz, honey do I have a speech for you! This is going to be so much fun! I'm so excited!" Graciela jumps around her best friend in excitement. "My best friend is going to get married! AHHH" She squealed loudly.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the Maid of Honor's speech!" Dick Grayson happily introduces the exciting barista. She walked to her stage and winked at the happily married couple.
"What a great and joyous day today. My name is Graciela Kirovan and I am the owner of the famously known Cupid Cafe in Gotham City. And I have to say these two have been my magnum opus in my work as the cupid barista. Now, I assure you I have no magic and I am no meta, but somehow my cafe has been a hotspot for fated couples to meet and Marinette and Tim is one of the cutest, dorkiest, sweetest couple ever." Marinette laughed as she cuddled up to his new husband. Graciela smiled warmly at them before continuing her speech.
"I became Marinette's friend when she first arrived in Gotham, and I was adamant to find her the perfect someone once I heard about her disastrous love adventure. Tim was one of my regulars, a very eccentric one because at one point he had managed to pass out standing in front of my cashier and I was this close to calling the ambulance." The audience laughed at her exasperated tone. Marinette had laughed as well and Tim tried to hide on his wife's shoulder.
"I remembered the day when I gave them a nudge to sit together, I had my doubts at first. I mean, two sleep-deprived zombies that have the same concerningly caffeine addiction as a couple? I don't know if the world is ready yet for the chaos that I'm sure they would bring. But then I watched them together that day, I saw them happily talking to each other, and I know my cupid arrow has struck once again." Marinette looked at Tim and lovingly kissed his cheek. Tim then returned the kiss with the same amount of love. It was so cute.
"I watch them pine one another and it was miserable," Graciela whined dramatically and winked at the couple.
" But I was happy. I listened to how Marinette would gush about their theory discussion, she would sigh dreamily as she told me how cute Tim's giggle was, and I know that it was a matter of time before the two would date." Marinette's had turned so red and Graciela could see the teasing grin that Tim was sent to her. Graciela smirked at what was about to transpire.
"And you know, ladies and gentlemen, I was there when Tim had confessed! If you look at the screen right there, Dick would play the recording that I took during that monumental moment!" With that, she finger-gunned Dick, and the video capturing the confession began to play.
The audience laughed at how Tim had confessed, Jason was wolf-whistling at the video and Dick was laughing his ass off. Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle were both watching the video with warm expressions, and so was Alfred. Damian had a little smirk and he knew that he has new blackmail material for his brother. Cass and Duke were watching with soft smiles, while Stephanie and Barbara were sending teasing grins to Tim.
Graciela chuckled before clearing her throat and the audience focused back on her, "It was amazing, watching their love grow. I'm so happy for both of them. I know that Marinette deserves this more than anyone else, because finally, finally, someone takes notice of how amazing she is. Finally, she founds happiness. Finally, she has someone to lean on. Finally, they are together. To Marinette and Tim, I hope your love is everlasting, and I hope that every day of your new life is filled with adventure and love. I hope that you are blessed with a long marriage and I hope that you still come to my cafe and order the Golden Ambrosia, because I know that no one else would order them but you two." Graciela finished as she raises her wine for the toast.
Marinette looked at her with a warm smile and mouthed 'thank you' to her. Graciela went over to her table and they both hugged. Graciela whispered her congratulations before taking her seat. She watches both of them share a sweet and loving kiss, professing their love to one another. She smiled to herself, her heart warm at the picture-perfect couple.
'Finally.'

The Future Lies in a Dream | (TASM) Peter Parker
Tumblr media
📝 Title: The Future Lies in a Dream
📚 Requested: Yes/No
✍ Summary: Peter first learns about your death in a dream. But when Harry Osborn escapes from prison, its no coincidence. | 3.2k
🧧 Warnings: mentions of Gwen, mentions of breaking up, a near death experience
The air was running cold, and so was his blood.
Peter could practically see the fear in your eyes as you dangled at the edge of the bridge. His ex best friend and now enemy, Harry Osborn, merely holding you by the collar of your shirt.
The sun was setting into the horizon, a perfect view to end a picnic date. But Peter left you for a moment to go to the bathroom and he got back to his spidey senses tingling like crazy and you gone as Harry’s sinister laughter broke through the air.
This wasn’t deja vu. History was literally repeating itself.
Peter tried, he begged Harry to let you go, because it was him he wanted. Not you.
Harry just laughed, muttering something about Gwen.
Then, with a taunting goodbye, he dropped his hold on you. A scream leaving your lips as gravity pulled you towards a 30 feet drop down to asphalt.
Peter dove to catch up with you, he couldn’t let it happen again, reaching a hand out he shot a web.
The air pushed your hair a bit to surround you like a halo as you could only hope for the best.
Just when the web was about to stick to the ground beneath you, creating a sort of net in order to cushion your fall, something hard collided into Peter’s side - carrying far away from you as the fear grew in your eyes.
Harry chuckled from above his hoverboard, “You really think I would let you succeed Peter?”
Peter sat up in his bed, a scream leaving his lips as he started breathing heavily and cold sweat coated him from head to toe.
“Peter?” You rushed into the room upon hearing your boyfriend’s scream, “Are you okay?”
He stared at you, not being able to respond. The fear in your eyes seemed so real, the whole ordeal seemed so real.
“Peter?” Your voice rang through his mind again, pulling his attention to your worried look, “What happened?”
He shook his head, giving a small shrug, “Just a bad dream.”
The worry lines on your forehead depend as you rubbed his arm gently, “Do you want anything? Chocolate? Water?”
Peter gave a small smile, silently trying to reassure you as he shook his head, “A cuddle would be nice.”
You rolled your eyes at him despite the smile that was clear on your lips as you scooted closer to him, “Come here you big baby.”
Sitting in between Peter’s legs, he wrapped his arms around you and pressed a kiss to the top of your head.
“You know I love you, right?” He suddenly said.
“Course I do.” You looked up at him, smiling as you turned to face him, pecking a kiss to his nose, “And I love you too.”
Peter pressed his forehead to you, jutting his bottom lip out in a small pout, “Why weren’t you in bed when I woke up?”
“Why? Am I not allowed to go to the bathroom?” You laughed.
Peter pouted even further as he huffed, “You didn’t come from the bathroom. We literally have a bathroom right in this room, you came from the living room.”
You laughed even harder, “Fine, you caught me. I was in the living room.”
“And what were you doing in the living room?”
“Reading with a cup of coffee.”
A dramatic gasp came from Peter, pulling out the giggles from you.
“Treachery.”
“Oh don’t be dramatic, Pete.”
“I’m not being dramatic. I thought I was your boyfriend, woman - how dare you drink coffee and read without me?”
“If it makes you feel better, I also made you a cup and left out your current read for when you wake up.”
Peter grinned before standing up and carrying you bridal style as he made his way to the living room,
“What’re we waiting for then?”
Dreams never repeated themselves twice.
Peter was sure of it, he had even searched it up in hopes that it wasn’t just him being paranoid.
The same thing, the same scenario happened over and over again. How was that possible?
Unless, it was some sort of warning?
Fear quickly rose up like bile in Peter’s throat. Flashes of that night came back vividly in his mind: the chill of the air, Harry’s unforgivable laughter, the way everything seemed to move in slow motion as he desperately tried to save Gwen… but failed nonetheless.
“Peter? Are you okay?” Your voice rang through his mind, pulling him back to reality.
He licked his lips, giving you a smile, “Yeah, I’m fine.”
“You sure?” You asked with a chuckle, putting the bowl of popcorn on the coffee table, “Because you looked like you’ve seen a ghost.”
Peter chuckles nervously, “I’m fine. Don’t worry about me.”
You reached for the remote, about to put Netflix on when the news flashed across the screen.
Convict and ex-owner of Oscorp Industries, Harry Osborn, has escaped from prison.
Peter placed a hand on your wrist, eyes trained on the news report as the journalists continued to give more information on the event.
Peter’s mind was spinning as you searched for a good movie. Harry Osborn was now roaming the streets of New York. And he would out for revenge.
Oh shoot.
The digital clock next to your bed read 2 am. And Peter wasn’t home from his patrol yet.
You tried to indulge yourself in your current read, but you couldn’t bring yourself to focus. Worry had overtook you and you were praying and hoping that Peter was safe.
A small thud by the balcony of your shared apartment put your mind at ease.
As soon as you stood up from the couch, Peter trudged into the living room - his mask in his hand and his suit showing minimal signs of any damage.
“Hey,” Peter cooed, cupping you cheeks to gently push your head up to look at him, “why do you look so worried? I’m fine.”
You shook your head, brushing a small brown curl out of his eyes,  “You took longer than usual. Was starting to think something happened to you.”
Peter chuckled, nuzzling his nose on the underside of your jaw, leaning into your touch, “You’re not getting rid of me that easily.”
“Really?” You laughed.
“Of course.” He answered, “Besides, do you think that a robber trying to go on a midnight stroll inside the bank would let me go home early?”
“You do have a point there.” You laughed.
Peter pressed a kiss to your hairline, the truth is - there wasn’t any bank robber, he just took the extra time in roaming the streets of New York in hopes that he could catch Harry Osborn and put him back in jail before anything bad happened to you.
“Peter?” You called into your apartment, kicking the door close with your foot.
No answer came, making you confused. It was only 4 in the afternoon, it was impossible for your boyfriend to be out for patrol already.
“Pete?“ You tried again, placing the paper bags of groceries on the kitchen countertop.
No answer.
You shrugged, going about to start preparing something for your date night with Peter, assuming that he had some errands to do.
Another sigh leaves your lips as you glance at the wall clock, 10:30 pm.
Long story short, Peter Benjamin Parker was late. By 3 and a half hours.
Your phone screen lit up as you tapped it, showing you a picture of Peter taken at the top of the Empire State Building and no messages from Peter.
Even trying to text him gave you no replies.
Standing up from the table, you started putting the food into tupperwares when you heard the front door open.
“Y/N? Sweetheart!” Peter appeared in the kitchen door, holding a bouquet of your favorites flowers.
Crossing your arms over your chest, you have him a pointed look, “You’re late.”
“I know and I’m sorry.” He said, walking towards you while handing you the bouquet with puppy dog eyes.
Still glaring at him, you said, “You really think that flowers are going to bribe me, Parker?”
He smiled sheepishly, “Not really? But it’s definitely worth a try?”
You rolled your eyes at him, trying to keep a smile from ruining your act,  “Explain.”
“Aunt May called and she had me fix her washing machine then we got caught up in catching up that I didn’t exactly notice the time.”
It was a lie. But you didn’t know that, Peter had caught sight of Harry and tried to catch him - but failed.
Your heart softened at the picture of Peter and Aunt May catching up at the dinner table, ever since Peter moved out - Aunt May was practically alone in the apartment, except for when the two of you would come by for the weekly Sunday dinner with her.
“I’ll make it up to you.” Peter promised, giving you the puppy dog eyes again, “Please?”
“And how do you plan to do that?”
“Maybe by eating our dinner in front of the tv while watching a movie?”
“What movie?”
“Y/f/m?”
You pretended to think about it for a moment before giving him a smile, “Fine. But this is not working next time.”
He chuckled, kissing your cheek, “That’s what you said last time.”
You made a face at him, “Don’t push your luck, Parker.”
A week had now passed and Peter had still been quite distant, seemingly avoiding you and getting out of the house every chance he gets.
You wake up to a cold space next to you on the bed and you go to bed with the same empty space. Then, you would wake up in the middle of the night since Peter would be back from patrol.
That was basically the only time you would get to see him.
“Peter!” You called out as your boyfriend was about to head to the door, again.
He slowly turned to face you, “Yes sweetheart?”
You took a deep breath, “We need to talk.”
Peter’s eyebrows furrowed as he sat down on the couch, “About what?”
Closing your eyes, you asked the question you dreaded the answer to, “Do you want to break up with me?”
“What?” Peter asked, gaping at you.
“I’m asking you if you want to break up with me.” You said, voice cracking a bit, “Because you’ve been so distant lately and it’s like you’ve been avoiding me. So, if don’t want to be with me anymore, just say so instead of leading me on.”
Peter stood up, shaking his head while he slowly walked towards you, “I don’t want to break up with you! That would be the stupidest idea that would ever cross my mind.”
“Then why are you barely here?” You countered.
“I’m sorry.” He said, pressing his forehead to yours, Peter needed to tell you the truth now or risk losing you.
“All those times I was out, I was looking for Harry Osborn.” He admitted.
“Harry Osborn?” You said, “The convict who recently escaped? The one responsible for Gwen’s passing?”
Peter nodded.
“Peter,” you cooed, reaching up to trace your thumb on his cheek, “I know you want to get revenge. But if you do these thing recklessly then you could get hurt.”
He shook his head, biting his lip, “I’m not hunting him down to get revenge.”
You gave him a puzzled look, “Then why are you doing it?”
That’s when he told you the whole truth. The truth about the dreams he’d been having and the theories that mounted from them.
“Pete, it could be a coincidence.” You said.
“But what if it’s not?” Your boyfriend insisted, looking at you with the biggest puppy dog eyes you’ve ever seen, “What if it’s not and he comes after you? And he does something to you. I can’t lose you, Y/N. Losing Gwen was the darkest part of my life but losing you will be like being sucked in a black hole I would never want to get out of.”
You cupped his face in your hands and gently brought him closer to you, pressing your lips to him.
“I’ll always be here. Dreams can’t predict the future, Pete. All of this is just a coincidence. So, are you still going to go out or are you going to read a book with your lovely girlfriend?”
Peter chuckled, pressing another kiss to your lips, making you giggle, “Fine. Since I want to make it up to my absolutely adorable girlfriend.”
“I’m serious Pete!” You laughed, leaning into his embrace, “That cloud really looks like a spider in a tutu.”
“It does not.” He protested, “And no spider in their right mind would wear a tutu.”
“Maybe you should try it sometime? It would look so adorable on you.” You teased, bringing your hand up to jokingly pinch his cheek.
He made a face at you, pushing your hand away, “I will not wear a tutu.”
Scrunching your nose at him, you said, “I’m sure Aunt May will agree with me. You will wear a tutu.”
“I will not.” Peter said, pecking the tip of your nose, “I need to go to the bathroom - don’t go anywhere without me.”
“I won’t go anywhere.” You smiled, “But if I’m missing then you can find me in the bookstore because you took so long.”
Peter chuckled, playfully rolling his eyes before making his way to the bathroom.
Upon making his way back to you, he could feel that something was wrong.
Dread and fear suddenly flooded through his veins as he spotted the empty picnic blanket.
He pulled out his cellphone and was about to call you when he heard a familiar and rather sinister break through the air.
“Well, well, well, Peter Parker, my old friend.”
Harry Osborn stood in front of Peter on his hoverboard, you in his grasp as you looked at Peter with wide eyes.
“I see you found yourself a pretty one.” Harry snickered, “I just wonder whether she’ll fall as gracefully as Gwen does, sorry, did.”
Peter gritted his teeth, “Let her go Harry. It’s not her that you’re after, it’s me.”
“That’s where you got it all wrong, Pete. She’s exactly who I’m after. Especially if I’m going to get revenge from you.”
And before Peter could so much as say or do anything else, Harry flew away in his hoverboard along with you as he called out, “See you at the bridge Pete!”
Right now, Peter had gone into full panic mode. He knew this would happen - he can’t let anything happen to you. Running to the nearest alley way, he shedded his hoodie and jeans to reveal the Spider-Man suit and swung off.
The sun was setting over the horizon when he arrived at the bridge, a picture perfect romantic ending to a date.
But nothing about the current situation was picture perfect.
“Nice of you to finally join us.” Harry grinned, “The view’s amazing, isn’t it?”
“Harry please.” Peter pleaded, “Keep her out of this.”
“Oh no, Peter. Why would I keep her out of it when she’s such a vital part of the plan.” He said in reply.
“Besides, if I let her go - a 30 foot fall will be quite long.” Harry added, threatening to release his grasp on your collar that kept you dangling on the edge of the bridge.
Peter could see the fear in your eyes, just like he had in his dream. He knew how this would go down and he had to find a way to save you.
When faced with bad situations, some people would advise you to look on the bright side of things.
But if you’re dangling above the edge of the bridge in the hands of your boyfriend’s nemesis - it was hard to see the bright side of things.
“I’ve waited for this moment Peter. I’ve dreamt of this the whole time I’ve been in prison. Do you think that seeing you suffer from Gwen was enough? You betrayed me, your own best friend, I want to see you suffer until you can’t take any of it anymore.”
You looked at Peter, his facial expression was hidden behind his mask - but you can feel the fear radiating from him.
“Harry please, let’s talk about this.” He pleaded, “You don’t have to be consumed by your anger. I can help you, we can talk things through. No one has to get hurt this time.”
Leave it to Peter to try to see the good in people, that was one of the things that made of you fall in love with him in the first place.
For a minute, you thought that Peter had managed to reel him in - that Harry would surrender.
But Peter gave a cackle, “I know you fell head over heels in love with Y/N, Peter. But let’s see how good you are at catching her.”
And with a taunting goodbye, he released his hold on you.
Hearing the scream leaving your lips, Peter dove after you - the only thing on his mind was that he had to save you.
The only difference from his dream and what was happening in front of him was that while you were falling - you back was facing him, meaning that this time he wouldn’t be able to see the fear in your eyes.
He was about to stretch out his arm to shoot a web towards you when his spidey senses started tingling like crazy. Then he remembered the reason why he wasn’t able to “save you” in the first place.
Redirecting his arm to his side, he shot the web to Harry’s hoverboard which was flying towards him - causing him to spiral out of the way.
He brought back his focus to you, taking a deep breath to clear his mind before shooting a web to each of the major joints of your body.
Your elbows, the back of your knees, neck and head and the middle of your torso.
He then hoped that this would be enough to save you with the maximum damage of a few minor injuries.
You could see the asphalt coming near you with every passing moment, the wind was blowing through your hair - just like how it was portrayed in the movies.
Closing your eyes, you braced yourself for the impact - holding nothing against Peter, because you knew in your heart that he loved you with his whole being and he tried to save you.
But the impact never came, instead you bounced a little - just how someone would when they’re attached to a harness.
Slowly opening your eyes, you saw that you were an inch away from the cement. Craning your neck to look behind you, you saw white strings attached to you - like a puppet.
Peter, in the form of Spider-Man, appeared by your side; gently detaching you from the webs he had shot.
Once you were back on your feet, he cupped your face in his hands - trying to keep the tears out of his eyes, “Are you okay?”
You smiled, lifting his mask up on to his nose to press a brief kiss to his lips, “You saved me.”

wait stay by my side is good??? and no one told me??? or maybe i keep confusing stay by side and stay with me lol
as someone who is all caught up on both shows - they're both fun 😄
this ask is from three days ago when I talked about how stay by my side (taiwanese show about a boy who can hear ghosts and the guy who gives him a break through touch) had a very fun sixth episode. i wasn't into the show that much but ep.6 gave me some heart-fluttering moments and cute angst that I neither took seriously nor disliked - it was fun for me because of the execution, the fact I don't take anything happening in the show to heart and because the show is short enough so I sensed a resolution was coming very soon 😁
now ive seen episode 7 as well and I can say 6 is definitely my fave. the conflicts are predictable, theres nothing really new but thats what goves you the safe feeling - you dont risk breaking your heart watching it haha. i'd recommend this in case you want a quick sweet watch with "cute silly boy denying his feelings" and "cold rude guy turned passionate suitor". it's the lightest watch i've seen in a while and it's my palette cleanser these days (everything I watch is angsty apparently and the angst supreme™️ trio of loa, of and dr hasn't even reared its ugly head yet lol)
Tumblr media
stay with me (the og title of which I find real cute: "gege, don't run") is as far as I know a remake of addicted - a chinese bl that was Very direct in regards to what it's about and therefore got canceled AND banned and the main actors - banned from interacting with each other on tv or at public events for years; I thought swm would be a story set in the same universe or smth but as I watched the first episode I kept getting deja vu until I realised it's the same plot lol
it's about two teens whose dad and mom, respectively, got together - the boys claim to hate each other before they even meet, then fate brings them together without them recognizing each other and shenanigans ensue. it's about found family, finding common ground with parents you can't communicate with, about forgiveness and acceptance. the characters are very lovable <3 the crew is doing their best fighting censorship so it's very clear that the couple are not just bros. they can't, however, do what addicted did so many might prefer the 2016 show. I, personally, was not a fan of the mains in that - wu bi is too possessive for me in this version but his predecessor was Something Else
it's a very standard modern mainland china show. the reason im mentioning this is because of clips on tt and having not seen a cdrama in a while, i had the impression itd be more like a taiwanese or korean bl. the editing, dubbing, bizarrely cut scenes - nothing new in cdrama land. i was wondering if I would recommend it but I think I would, yes. some coincidences and plot points are just so beyond belief that you'd roll your eyes but it's not smth unheard of when it comes to asian dramas haha and I think you'd get so caught up in the angst, domesticity and hunting down hints spread around like easter eggs that you just won't mind the convenient plots (if you would care bout such a thing in the first place)
I'm doing a bad job at promoting this show but I do want more people to see it. the cast is perfect imo (..except for duo duo, I'm sorry but that bby cannot act..her face and aura suit the character though), the sets are all amazing (I like the school, I like su yu's home, I like the shared space later on etc.etc., all decor is very well picked and pleasant to the eye) and the moral of the story is heartwarming, its execution too.
you get passionate hot-headed athletic rich boy who's crazy for his equally smitten furrow-browed genius humble guy - they both value family and each other very much and are willing to do everything for those close to them. it's very endearing and their dynamic is swoonworthy, they're a complete power couple.
(also, spoiler, you get enemies to friends to lovers which is pretty neat)(the spark is there from day 1 tho)
Tumblr media
EDIT: i wrote this before the final two episodes were released so disclaimer - POST FINALE SPOILER: if you don't like open endings, esp distressing ones, i don't advise you watch it now - better wait for a secure second season

The end of the international break had approached both squads with rapid speed, before they knew it the 3 weeks was up and it was time for their final friendly match before returning to club duties. It was a rematch of the European final from just a few months earlier, only this time - it was being played in Rome. Preparing her team to meet their opponents had been a bit trickier than last time. Of course, the boys were fired up and raring to go, but the bitterness and anger that drove her to push them harder last time wasn’t there. They were now going up against some of her closest friends as well as her family.
In a strange moment of deja vu, Amelia looked down the tunnel as both teams lined up side by side to walk out onto the pitch together. Just like the last time, her father passed her and gave her a reassuring rub to the back of her neck and made his way down through the centre aisle with his staff. Following him, and just like last time, she made her way down whilst pressing a kiss to both cheeks of her Italian men. Reaching her brother, she pressed a kiss to his cheek also, however unlike the last time he gave her a wink back. The atmosphere was different this time, it was a friendly game and there was no title at stake here - only pride. This time, however, as she passed the Three Lions Number 21, her right hand found his left one for just a moment, before giving it a gentle squeeze and continuing down her own line. He had maintained his focus forward, didn’t even blink at the girl’s actions, and by the time she got to Fede who had been watching the encounter she had made her mind up that he wanted nothing to do with her.
This friendly-match had Amelia in a bundle of nerves, dissimilar to the euro final, Amelia was confident in her ability purely due to the fact that she was well prepared. This time however, whilst she was just as well-prepared as last time, she also knew that a fair few English players had adopted her playing style as their own and knew the kind of tactic required to stop the Italian attack and penetrate the great wall of Rome: Chiellini and Bonucci. This, coupled with the fact that both sides seemed to be playing with a touch more aggression than she expected, led to her being on the edge of her seat for most of the game. A late first half goal from Jorginho had her up out of her seat, cheering for the midfield maestro. However, it was a late second half goal that had her smiling from ear to ear, whilst trying to remember to keep her bum in her chair - she wasn’t supposed to be cheering for the enemy after all. How could she not though? Ben Chilwell had scored the equaliser. Using the play they had spent so many hours perfecting, just the two of them out on the pitch at Cobham. Scoring his goal, celebrating with his team and the away fans, she had clapped with an appropriate level of enthusiasm until she noticed him look her way, pull the centre of his jersey toward his face and give it a kiss. She moved her hand to touch that spot on her own jersey. Fingers running over the embroidery that she had stitched into every one of her official matchday tops, a memento to keep her family close to her heart - the embroidery featured the word ‘WHITE’ followed by the colours of the italian flag. For this match however, she had something extra added. Did Ben know about her newest addition?
After the match.
“Chilwell! Wait Up!” Federico Bernardeschi called down the tunnel whilst jogging to catch up with his opposition player.
“Can I give you some advice? Don’t let her go. I did, and whilst it was the right thing for me to do, it's something I regret deeply. You don’t realise just how much she adds to your life until she's gone. You’ll come to realise that she is the sunshine after any storm, but she is also the storm itself. Any day without her is a little less bright.”
In a moment of vulnerability, Ben decided to open up to the man that he didn’t know more than a bar of soap, who was coincidentally the same man who knew all there was to know about Amelia.
“She really is sunshine personified, isn’t she?” Ben smiled at the thought of the girl, thinking back on all of the laughs that they shared together in Mykonos.
“Normally yes, but these past few weeks that she has been without you she has been a little less bright. You complete her, whether she has realised yet I’m not sure but I am sure that she misses you. I think more than she ever missed me.”
“Ben, there are two kinds of compliments you can give a woman. The first, something she already thinks about herself but needs reconfirmed. The second, the things she doesn’t think anyone else notices about her. The second kind matters more.”
“You like because, and you love despite. Think about that Ben.”
“I don’t know if I love her, yet.”
“I think you do know. Otherwise you wouldn’t have asked the kitman for a little something extra on tonight's jersey.”
“What are you talking about? How do you know?”
“Ah, Benjamin, a good spy never tells his secrets” With that, Federico continued his walk back to the changerooms. “She’s out on the pitch, Ben.” He called without looking back, confident that the player was already making his way out there.
Walking up to the centre circle, where Amelia was currently sitting down on the pitch with her arms behind her and her legs stretched out in front. Taking in the atmosphere of Stadio Olympico in Rome, her favourite stadium in the world. What surprised her the most was just how quickly Stamford Bridge had crept itself up the ranks and into the second spot of her heart.
Without wanting to startle her, Ben started talking to her from a few meters away - not bothered about the few lingering souls out and about. This was his time to make her his, and nothing was going to get in his way.
“You know, a wise person once said to me that you like someone because, but you love them despite” He called out to her.
Turning around, she was surprised to see him. After the cold shoulder she received earlier she hadn’t imagined she would have the opportunity to talk to the blue-eyed beauty any time soon.
“What person was that?” She asked back, softly, not wanting to spook him off.
“Fede”
She tried to hide the shock on her face, what on earth had told her ex-lover she wanted him to talk to her current lover...if you could even call Ben that. Maybe it was more appropriate for him to be referred to as Amelia’s almost-until-she-fucked-it-lover. That was a bit long winded...maybe-lover should suffice. Whilst she was having this internal struggle, all thoughts swirling around her head, Ben had reached the centre circle and sat to the left of the girl, close enough that she could see the calmness behind his eyes.
“He’s right you know, he’s not always right but this time he definitely is. For example, he was wrong to let you go. There would be no chance in hell that I would let you slip away from me as easily as he did.
“I like you because you’re smart, so unbelievably beautiful and just as confident as anyone I've ever met. But I love you, despite the fact that you drive me mad with just how brilliant you are even if you don’t acknowledge yourself. You are destined for greatness, Amelia White. And I just hope that when you do get to where you want to be, that I'm still right there with you.”
Looking at him with tears in her eyes whilst his own were telling her that there wasn’t an ounce of hesitation behind his words. He loved her. And that's all she needed. Standing up, she pulled him up by his hands and pulled him in so close that she could feel the muscles in his back contract as he wrapped her up in a hug of his own, these were the hugs that she wished could be reserved for her. No one else needed to know the power behind these hugs, they could make her fall for him over and over again. One hand across her shoulders, the other palming the back of her head and pushing her into his chest so she could feel his heart beat - after all it beats just for her.
“Ben, why did you kiss your shirt today after you scored?” She asked the taller man as he continued to enjoy the feeling of having her back in his arms, where she belonged for all of this time.
“I wanted to feel close to you, and I thought maybe you were onto something with your superstitions”. Regrettably pulling himself away from her, he pulled off his shirt to reveal the toned skin of his chest, but also the small embroidery on the inside fabric that resembled her own...except this time it read MILS with a small Italian flag. Feeling her heart swell inside her chest, she beamed up at the man who was patiently waiting for her reaction to the gesture of love.
“I think it worked Ben” Pulling her shirt away from her chest enough that she could stretch it and show the inside fabric to him, hers reading WHITE with the Italian flag, but also a small BENJ with the British flag next to it. Her way of keeping him, and her family, close to her heart where she felt them the most.
He could only imagine that Amelia felt when reading his shirt was only a fraction of what he was feeling at that moment, for it was impossible for anyone to love someone the way that he loved her. His mum always told him not to fall for the girl who gives him butterflies, because he would be addicted to the feeling and would constantly be on the chase for it, but to fall for the girl who calmed him down, made him feel secure and like he needed her air to breathe. Butterflies were warning signs, but the sight of Amelia reminded him of seeing the light on in the hall after an away match - he was home. She was his home.
Pulling her back to his chest, except this time he was shirtless. Amelia ran her hands down his back whilst his hands settled at the base of her spine, she rested her chin on his chest and stared up at the man that her heart had grown to love. Ben moved his hands upwards until he tangled them in her wavy hair, moving his lips to cover her own. The kiss said everything they needed to share with each other. I miss you. I love you. Never leave me again.
“Oi! You two! Break it up! There are kids here!” A quick yell broke the two out of their bliss, looking over to see none other than Kyle Walker standing at the end of the tunnel, looking towards them with a mischievous look on his face.
“Kyle, cover your eyes, you’re too pure to be exposed to such adult behaviour!” And just as though God had been listening, from behind him walked out Federico, to cover the eyes of Kyle Walker. Amelia and Ben didn’t realise that the two were even remotely friendly, however they had found a mutual interest - annoying their two friends that had finally admitted their feelings to each other.
“Pipe down you two” Ben joked as the pair of them walked hand in hand towards the jokesters, Ben eventually lifting his left hand to move their entwined hands to Amelia’s left shoulder, her own right arm moving to wrap around his waist. A way he could bring her physically closer to him. Amelia not resisting the gesture, anything to feel his smooth skin against her own.
“Fede, I hope you know that I'm going to be Amelia’s maid of honor at the wedding. That's not going to be a problem for you is it?” Kyle began to seriously discuss the future event with his new Italian partner in crime.
“No Kyle, that's fine - I'm the flower boy though. Jorgi is going to pull me down the aisle in a red cart while I throw rose petals at everyone” Fede joked back, the two of them pretending that the new couple couldn’t hear them as they walked down the tunnel back to the changerooms.
“What are they like?” Ben laughed into the top of Amelia’s hair, still maintaining his grip on the girl he had been without for 3 weeks. With a grin from ear to ear, and an overwhelming feeling of love about her, Amelia stopped Ben in his tracks before the two had to go their separate ways to rejoin their respective teams.
“Just so you’re aware, I love you too. And I am so sorry for everything that I put us through these past weeks. I want you to know that i’m all in, and i’m all yours...if you’ll have me”
“Stop being a silly muppet, of course I'll have you, all of you. Even the parts that drive me insane. There is no way I am letting anyone else have you. You’re all mine, Mils”
“Glad to know the feelings mutual, Chilly”
“Oi, what did I say about that! Only friends call me Chilly...and you are not my friend”
Bursting into laughter as she tried to pull away from him, only to be pulled back and wrapped up into his arms, her head against his chest.
“I love you, Benj”
“I love you right back, Mils”
finito.

Cassandra's POV
Soft knocks woke me up from my messy dreams. I blinked my eyes a few times getting used to the light. I sat up in bed and stretched my body looking around a little confused. Sometimes I have dreams so messed up that I forget where I really am, but within seconds, everything was fresh in my memory. Days ago, I saved a child, a boy, who was swimming in a river in the middle of the night. On the way back to his house, I found out that he is a prince, from the kingdom of Aluma, and since then, out of gratitude, I have been here, in a beautiful large and comfortable room, in the castle.
"Come in"
I got out of bed and Lady Juliette entered my room, just like every morning. I should have stayed only one day, two at the most, but the hospitality, the politeness, the ambient, the treatment of the King and Queen, the happiness of that little runaway, I couldn't refuse to stay any longer.
I smiled at Juliette, watching her open the curtains and the huge windows that looked out onto a beautiful balcony. Then she approached the bed and I stood up as she bowed slightly.
"Good morning, Lady Cassandra. did you sleep well?"
I tilted my face playfully looking at her with mock disapproval and she smiled shyly.
"Oh Juliette, I've told you that we don't need cordiality. How long have i been here? A few weeks, probably months, we're confidants, already friends and I have no title."
She's still shy and started to make my bed and I helped her with the pillows.
"I know, my la.. Cassandra.. It's the orders, I'm just a lady-in-waiting, a helper, I must respect whoever is above me."
I got closer to her after we make the bed and held one of her hands.
"I'm not above anyone else, we're equal inside and I consider you my friend and I want you to act as such, do we agree?"
When I arrived, I was a little unsure, but in front of so many good people, I had nothing to fear. And to make things better, Juliette and I got closer over time. I never had great friends, I guess I never really cared. Since from my childhood in Boudicca, to Aretuza and then to whatever path fate takes me, it's always been me and Atlas, but at the moment, I'm very happy to have someone, who really responds when I speak, at least with words, and not neighs. Juliette smiled happily and went to the bathroom to prepare my bath.
I went to the balcony, the view was just incredible, the birds sang, the sun shone and burned against my skin, on the horizon, I could see part of the Kingdom, the village, but in the distance, mountains. I took a deep breath, basking in the morning scent, eyes hooded, just concentrating on the sounds, until Juliette informed me that the bath was ready.
As soon as I walked in, she left so I could take off my nightgown. We're friends but I still don't feel good about exposing myself like that.
After a relaxing bath with warm water, rose petals and sparkling foam. I put on a robe and found a tray on my bed with my breakfast. It had fruit, bread and juice. Normally, the king and queen would like me to join them at the dinner table, but today was different.
"The kitchen is quite busy, the king is having an old friend today. He is very excited, asked them to prepare the best dishes."
A couple of days ago, I heard some buzz in the hallways. A friend of the king was coming to visit him and it seemed he was creating a commotion around the servants. Maybe it's my imagination, but the ladies looked as fervent as a pan of boiling oil. At a dinner, the king said he would love to introduce me to one of his great friends, I just nodded.
That same night, the queen visited me in my room with a woman. A middle-aged seamstress, a few strands of gray, the queen said she was one of her favorite seamstresses and the most sought after in the kingdom and among her royal friends. She asked the woman and me to talk, and agree on nice clothes for me. I had been wearing dresses loaned to the queen for a while and she knew I didn't feel very comfortable so she contacted her seamstress.
Since today is a big day for the king, I had several options above my bed, my hair was already done with a simple braid. Time passed and I couldn't make up my mind. Juliette was nervous about my lateness, soon the king's friend would be there. For some reason, I felt more indecisive than ever, I almost didn't recognize myself.
But after so much choosing, he manages to make a decision. I looked in the mirror, admiring my necklace and my dress.
"Not that bad"
I walked downstairs with Juliette behind me on our way to the throne room. Madeline played with her son's blond strands while King Alexander chatted with some guards. The castle was cheerful, everyone seemed to want to give the guest the best reception.
As soon as she was seen by little Eric, he smiled and ran to me. I bent down a little and we hugged. Eric and I have bonded, he's an amazing kid with a thirst for adventure.
"Oh dear, look at you"
The queen approached me, looking me up and down and smiling as if I were blood of her blood. Her cheerful voice caught the attention of her husband, who approached, he took my hand and twirled me around making me feel a little shy.
"Cassandra, with all due respect, you look beautiful today."
Madeline and Juliette both chuckled softly at my blush, which also made the queen elbow her husband lightly, scolding him playfully.
Noises echoed in the distance, some voices, horses and carriages
The big door opened, one of the servants reported that the duke had arrived. The king released him, taking his queen's hand on his arm and inviting me to meet his friend at the castle entrance. I walked behind the royal couple with the little prince beside me, chattering about something I didn't hear, my hands sweating with every step I took.
When we arrived at the entrance, I could see two carriages. One loaded with suitcases, so I assumed the guest was in the other. The door of the second carriage opened and a man was the first to exit and suddenly, it was like everything had frozen around me.
The birds stopped singing, the wind got warmer, the sun didn't burn my skin, which was now chilled, my feet felt numb and my heart didn't slosh with blood. A brief deja vu flooded my mind, the memory of my imagination, every detail I imagined came alive and was right in front of me.
Tall man, defined body, strong, noble, fair skin, blue eyes.. like the sky in a spring morning, dark short hair like the night, lips that held perfect white tooth.. I am dreaming or..?
"Charles"
The king shouted happy. The handsome man bowed to the king but quickly the two of them ignored the formalities and embraced.
"How long?"
Charles. It's a good name. And his voice.. only two words left his mouth but that sound, it was like i heard a fire, hot, warming my frozen heart... but with some air of danger, like an unexpected fire that leaves you anchored. He complimented the queen and her son then took back his attention to the king that respectfully, put his hand on my back, approaching me to your friend.
"Charles, I want you to meet someone."
Alexander talked and Charles approached, finally he noticing me and our eyes crossed.
"That's Cassandra of Boudicca, the sorceress."
Charles eyes got wided while showed his beautiful smile, he delicately held my hand and softy pecked my knuckles without taking his eyes from my face.
"My lady."
He said directly at me and I could feel the air leaving my lungs.
"I am Charles Brandon, Duke of Suffolk"
I bent slightly, still looking at the being that came from my dreams.
"Wow daddy, she has purple eyes"
My body woke up to reality with a sweet childish voice. I looked down and beside Charles, there was a little girl, blue and curious eyes just like her father..
Wait a minute? Father? Did she really say.. daddy?
"Yes darlin, but it's not polite to look at people like that and point."
A beautiful young woman exits the carriage and stands beside Charles and the little girl, bowing towards the King and Queen.
"I've never met a sorceress before. It's a pleasure to meet you, Cassandra, and I'm sorry for my little curious daughter behavior"
Daughter..? So she and Charles..?
"I am Phoebe, Duchess of Suffolk, Charles wife and MacKenzie's mother."
Yes, they are..
A few seconds ago, I found myself in some kind of.. dream? and now, it felt like the beginning of a nightmare. It's actually quite real, just like the shiny ring on her finger.
Charles Brandon POV
As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by the king and his wife, and their little son. I greeted them, I missed them, Aluma, the castle, the memories at each place.
After the greetings, Alexander wanted to introduce me to someone I hadn't noticed at first. A beautiful woman, with a gorgeous dress, braid hair, her aura was mysterious, especially with those bright lavender color eyes, her expression looked frozen. I was able to confirm that that wasn't just what was cold, as soon as I touched her delicate hand, I felt her fingers tremble, her palm was sweaty.
I cordially kissed her knuckles with my eyes still locked on her colorful eyes, I never saw something so pretty, so magical. Magic could be the right word to describe her, after all, she is a sorceress.
"This wonderful young lady saved our Eric."
Madeline said and my cheeks burned instantly. Charles laughed and ruffled the boy's hair.
"Still getting in trouble, Eric? You need to stop running away."
The king and I had a brief conversation, until Alexander invited us inside. We both decided to go riding, to remember the old days in battle. So I went up to mine and Phoebe's room to get ready as soon as the servants told us the bags were already there. We went upstairs and left Mackenzie and Eric running together.
Cassandra's POV
As soon as the King and Charles were getting ready to ride, I excused myself from the Queen and went to my room, without running, but walking as fast as I could.
I walked into my room and slammed the door, then leaning my back against it and laying my head back as my breathing was uneven.
How was someone I imagined, now, here? Face to face. There are many people with these features, but everything about it seemed so perfect, like when it turns a short story into a play, bringing people and events to life. He was a dream, but a dream I couldn't dream.
I jumped in fright feeling them knock on the door. I took a few deep breaths, trying not to look crazy, tried to look decent and slowly opened the door to find one of the servants.
"Yes?"
"My lady Cassandra. Your Majesty requests your presence in the stables. He would like you to join him and the duke to ride."
Oh great.. I don't think it would be polite to deny it so I nodded my head smiling a little uncomfortably.
"Tell him I'll be there in a few"
The servant bowed and left. I closed the door again and ran my hands through my face.
I'm not feeling myself anymore, feels like this man has awakened something in me, something difficult to control and I think I'll have to learn because I can't seem to get away from him and these confused sensations.

Fire on Fire by Sam Smith for the plot?
In Love With the Flames
I had a few ideas for that one, but I decided on this. It is not edited, as I don't have the patience to edit something this long. But who knows, maybe someday it will get done. Anyway, I hope you like it and I will be adding this song to my workout playlist.
I also apologize for the lenght. I cannot to the "Continue Reading" or something like that on a phone. So I also apologize for clogging up your dashboard if you aren't interested.
Warnings: character deaths, enjoyment of people in pain/dying, alcohol use, bar setting, two characters in-love (nothing inappropriate, just hugs, kissing, and "flirty" behavior), fantasy politics (with government of my own making), public shaming, assault and magical attacking/whump
~
Supervillain let out another blast of burning fire, allowing it to make contact with the glass building without any remorse in their veins. Actually, it made them happy, listening to all the screams and hollers of the civilians down below.
"That is an unfortunate mess," a voice spoke behind Supervillain. Supervillain whirled around, hands up and ready, only to be met with the fascinating face of Villain. Villain, the most gorgeous being with deep emerald eyes that illuminated even the darkest souls, also had their hands raised. Their own fire lapped on their fingers, waiting to meet its mark.
But the fact that Villain was a threat did not register in Supervillain's thoughts. No, they could not take their own hazel eyes away from the pure beauty that was encased in the said threat's face. The way their soft brown hair bounced as they sauntered over to the supervillain and the way their pink lips added to the tanned tone of their skin. It was a sight, but also a distraction from Villain's intent.
"What do you want Villain?" Supervillain asked, hoping their voice was quivering from the fact that Villain was so close.
"That was a movie theater," Villain replied, their lips turning up as their nose crunched. Supervillain felt theit heart flutter and their breath catch in their throat. No one ever mentioned that Villain was also so adorable.
Supervillain shook their head and linked their fingers behind their back, gazing at Villain for a split second before saying, "If you want to see a movie so bad... My house nine o'clock. Tonight."
"I worked there. Now I'm out of a job."
Ohhh, crap. Supervillain inwardly swore at themselves and took of a fighting stance. There was no way that Villain came here just to plan their future date.
Villain attacked first, sending a fireball directly at Supervillain's head. Supervillain dodged, heart racing. Villain was aiming to kill.
Supervillain shot out their own fire, barely missing Villain's mane. Gosh... that hair. Supervillain froze, it was eye catching. It was-
A fierce fireball smacked Supervillain in the chest.
The supervillain went down, hitting the cold ground with a thud as their skin and clothes melted away. Black spots danced along Supervillain's vision as they felt themselves sinking further into the ground.
"Oh my gosh!" Came a short squeal and the next thing that Supervillain saw was Villain's face. Smug, but mildly concerned. Supervillain, anticipating an attack, arched their back weakly, straining to push away, but Villain placed a hand on their least damaged shoulder and shoved them back down.
"Where does it hurt?" Villain asked, their voice taut with care.
"No where, but cold," Supervillain slurred, dipping their head to the side. Their eyelids dropped and any thoughts of their situation disappeared into thin air.
"Stay with me, okay?" Villain brushed some snowflakes off of Supervillain's face. They didn't realize that it has begun to snow. Before Villain scooped up the supervillain, they murmured, "I will take care of you. Deal?"
And that was the last thing Supervillain heard before they succumbed to sleep.
Six months later...
"The heroes have infiltrated the Villain Agency. I believe- Uhh Supervillain, this is kinda important..."
"What was that?" Supervillain pushed Villain slightly away and looked at their henchman. "Cleary nothing important."
"Boss. The heroes are taking over. We need to do something, not-," Henchman looked between the two giggling lovebirds. "Not flirting with your significant other in a bar."
Villain looked up, then Supervillain. Both with a childish look on their face that Henchman only hoped was due to the alcohol.
"If," Supervillain brought their glass to their lips and took a long sip. "If this was so important, dear Henchman. Then why did we meet in a downtown bar?"
"Because you told me to meet here."
"Oh."
"Yeah, now let's talk about this before the situation gets worse. Sending troops out will possibly-"
"We'll handle it Henchman. Okay?" Supervillain stood up and lifted Villain to their feet. "Dance?" They asked Villain and led them to the center of the bar where a crappy band was stringing its guitar and beating on their drums.
Henchman sighed and collected their papers and left the couple to do who knows what.
"I love you, Supervillain," Villain murmured the next day as they approached the Hero's Base. They were holding hands, the fire lapping greedily at their fingertips as it intertwined with each other. Two killers, one fire... it all equaled terror. Pure villainous terror.
"I love you too," Supervillain reached over and landed a kiss in Villain's brown hair.
Both then looked at the Hero's Base. The whole building seemed to be made of glass- a warm sense of deja vu- but everyone knew that the walls were made of the strongest iron injected with power reflectors. It was practically a bunker, made to withstand bombardments.
"Ready?" Villain looked up with their daunting emerald eyes and half-smirk. Supervillain's confident demeanor faltered. They couldn't lose Villain, yet they also couldn't defeat the heroes without them.
"Promise me you'll live and then I am ready."
Villain smiled even wider, "Of course. I'm more worried about you." And with that light-hearted warning, Villain broke the hold on Supervillain's hand, stepped back, and began to blow up the Base.
Supervillain did the same thing, adjusting the aim of the fire to hit Villain's stream. It added strength and power to the blow, causing the outer glass to shatter.
Supervillain and Villain won that fight and won the national headlines.
Villain ran down the stairs the next morning to see Supervillain making breakfast and coffee. They triumphantly held a newspaper.
"The nation's greatest supervillain and their counterpart, Villain, blows up the Hero's Base," Villain read eagerly. "Reports say that the duo attacked in the morning a week after the heroes took over the Villain Agency. These killer's locations are unknown, so please watch yourselves as they could be lurking."
"Give me that," Supervillain snatched the paper, their tongue running over their lips like a snake. After reading it, they started to pace. "We could use this."
"Use this?" Villain scoffed, but their green eyes betrayed their excitement. They always loved their partner's ideas. "How?"
"How does campaigning sound?" Supervillain asked with a flashy smile.
"Campaigning?" Doubt tugged at Villain's voice.
"If you read further, you little naive idiot," the term was used teasingly, so Villain made a playful face. "Our lovely nemesis, Hero, survived the onslaught and is currently running for mayor."
"Mhm. I read that, but didn't deem it important. After all, Hero is basically in charge of the city without the title."
"But we aren't. We have ten thousand men and women underneath our feet, Villain, but Hero has fifty thousand with backup. But we could change those odds, my dear," Supervillain stepped towards Villain. "With a little campaigning, delving into the art of blackmail, and a well-planned assualt to the face of city... Honey, would you like to be mayor?"
"That," Villain wrapped their arms around Supervillain and brought them into a hug. "would be amazing."
"Just amazing?"
"Perfect, my mistake."
"Greetings citizens of the city," Supervillain's voice boomed through the auditorium. Thousands of civilians gathered below Supervillain's feet listening to the villain speak. But none of them knew that the charismatic speaker was Supervillain.
"This city," Supervillain glanced at their glowering foe, Hero, who was sitting with their hands neatly folded in front of them. "is on the brink of downfall. Crime rampages though the streets like rats. Murders, robberies... All under Hero's administration. The city is not safe when both petty and large crimes are not dealed with. For example, only a few weeks ago, the Base was completely demolished and yet the culprits have not been taken into custody. Do you realize the danger of that situation-" Supervillain coughed to hide a chuckle. "The pure impudence of it. We allow v-villains-" another cough. "to, uh, hmf sorry, must have a small cold brewing. Uh, let's see where was I? Ah yes, we allow villains to control us. Manipulate us. They take advantage of Hero's weakness and mold it into a weapon of choice and disaster. We are not safe. I repeat we are not safe."
Supervillain's gaze drifted to the figure, who was quite literally shimmering with rage, next to them. Actually, quite literally, the hero's hands were encassed in a golden wispy glow.
"That it why I introduce to you-" Supervillain tapped some buttons into the electric table they were sitting at. "The City Improvement Plan!" Cheers rang throughout the crowd, centering on a cluster of well-known punk Villains. Supervillain froze. They knew. Those villains must've recognized Supervillain's voice and- Supervillain snuck a peek at Hero. The hero's face was not only glistened in sweaty rage, but also had a smug look of realization on it.
"Okay, so, uh..." Supervillain couldn't concentrate. Not with the tall body of Hero standing up and speaking into a walkie-talkie. They readjusted their mask self-consciously. Was it weird to be wearing a mask? Supervillain looked back at Hero who wss now conversing with a couple guards. They were wearing a mask as well...
Gosh, they were staring for too long. The crowd was watching them, waiting for their next statement.
"The City Improvement Plan will remove unqualified people from office-" Supervillain started breathing deeply as two tasers caught their gaze. "And replace them with well-trained officer trained specially by my own partner, Civilian." Villain's fake name rolled off Supervillain tongue like sour milk.
"Civilian has been trained for high combat situations and has even fought many villains on a day to day basis."
Hero started stalking up to them, the tasers following them. Supervillain gulped, their fingers brushes against the botton on their collar. The only way to reach Villain.
They pressed, feeling the familiar vibration against their collarbone. Within seconds, the villain landed right next to Supervillain. The crowd gasped.
"Hello!" Villain leaned over, crossing their legs behind them as they spoke into the microphone. "My name is Villain. I happen to be Supervillain's boyfriend/girlfriend. Today, we have a fabulous show for you." Villain swung around, wrapping their arms around Supervillain's neck and whispered into their ear, "After today, we will also be called sinners." Supervillain furrowed their brow and hugged Villain back, confused.
Villain pushed away, and swung their arm. A wall of fire lit up on the stadge. No one could get in or out.
Hero rushed forward, their water power in hand, and tried to douse Villain with a good wave, but they dodged and hooked Hero with their leg. Within five seconds, Hero was on the ground with a wire threatening to break off all airflow.
While Villain was occupied with taking Hero down, Supervillain faced the two guards. Each had a taser ready to stike at them at any given chance. So, seeing the immediate danger, Supervillain blasted the tasers out of there hands. The guards instantly ran at them with the intention to strangle.
Supervillain was knocked to the ground pretty easily with the weight of the two burly- yet, insanely muscular- guys pressing against their shoulders.
Villain glanced over to see their partner struggling. Quickly, they punched Hero in the face. Once... twice... a third blow did it, leaving Hero completely motionless on the ground.
Villain then took the liberty to yank one of the guys off of Supervillain and threw him through the raging fire. The screams did not end.
Supervillain pushed the other guy away, flipping onto their feet and gave him a good burn across his chest- similar to one that Villain gave them a half year before. With a contented grunt, Supervillain landed him next to his writhing buddy.
Both Villains turned to Hero, narrowing their gaze. The hero had just began to stir. Not wasting anymore time, Supervillain rushed over and finished Hero off with a swift cut in their throat.
They flew away right before the fire wall burned out- not even waiting to hear the horrified gasps.
The couple worked like that. Rampaging through cities and killing, burning, and maiming.
"They don't follow any rules."
"Out of control."
"Ruthless, merciless..."
Rumors spread like wildfire, hitting all the nation's broadcasts and newspapers. There was a nationwide curfew as well- no one knew when the villains would pop up and strike.
They were slowly taking control of the world, just like Supervillain promised, through fear and domination. Schools started to host army troops to protect the children. Men and women alike started to get drafted and began to train- focusing any powers they held on fight and enchancing strength in those not blessed with magic. The world was in chaos, orbiting around the sun that was Villain and Supervillain's fireball.
Yet, even as the world slowly sunk to its knees, the villainous couple was having the time of their lives.
Planning for their future.
Supervillain and Villain were taking a romantic walk in a rose garden one evening. The sunset was a pallette of pastel colors- pink, green, orange, you name it. They circled around a tranquil pond with growing waterlilies and ducks happily quaking to their young.
Suddenly, Supervillain spun Villain around. Once again, hazel eyes met emerald, but this time it was of love, not hate.
Supervillain bent down onto one knee and revealed an diamond ring. Any pedestrians wouldn't even guess that the proposing couple was the world's greatest murderers. No one.
"Will you marry me, Villain?"
"Yes," Villain squealed and dragged Supervillain to their feet.
"You are supposed to let me put the ring on your finger..." Supervillain's voice trailed off as Villain kissed their new fiancé.
"I don't care," Villain teased and rested their head against Supervillain's shoulder.
"I love you."
"I love you too."

Time to give my perfect correct opinions on the entire teaser drop yes i am watching every single one I dONT care.
watchin em all in order they were on the channel when i popped in on laptop (which was different from the order on mobile this lunch break? sure whatever)
first is The Three Gentlebros which I would call ball so much as hollow, I like family dramas but this one seemed a bit shallow from trailer alone, in a way where I don’t know how’d they make the premice much engaging as a full content with what’s given there. Then, with the one and a half set and general poor production quality, I’m assuming this may be very early conception draft? Who knows. I don’t think I’d be interested in watching it, maybe if it was a short film, then it’d wear it’s plot well, cause as a show or even feature length I feel there’s too little. I think there is something powerful in it though in a way it has me completely disinterested despite having both Gun and Tay there like? Congrats on having absolutely nothing to you to the point of overdoing my loyalties.
Next UMG which def has some potential, the concept and vibes the trailer offer are fun, and I do like some spooky SF. They also have a good aesthetic package in a trailer, so that’s one I’ll look out for when they expand on it later. If it takes a good direction (I kinda want to see the “weird town” be more developed, see more of it and its people though that may be quite of a big request there, the teaser was very limited in cast but I think a great athmosphere would rely on the entire area being part of the vibe, rather than the strong isolation we see so far -then again, concept teaser, and if anything, the fact that I’m projecting things I’d like to see is proof I’m a bit invested in that one). I can also foresee it go terribly, because the genre isn’t something I’ve seen much from the company? And isn’t the easiest to pull off either (I mean the last sequence shows how, as soon as you want to show some supernatural, you better pack up some budget to make it credible. The feet......I shan’t say.) This one will depend on the extended teaser thus, if they develop it nicely it could be fun, but it could also be a shitshow. So who knows? Will keep my eyes open.
Now for Star and Sky or is it star in my mind? sky in your heart? what’s the title whats the subtitle. I think the most important is that I did not expect that bitch to talk like that, ok the mandatory comment has been said, moving on. Theres not much to say, it’s quite typical romance etc etc, formulatic uni students secret mutual pining etc etc... The kind that I kinda will forget immediatly, but depending on timing and mood and if the first few eps aren’t a snoozefest of terrible writing/pace/editing/etc, I could get into it to pass time. Or I could just completely forget it exists by the time it airs. Oh wait there’s mutliple stories in there ok. One’s dramatic one’s goofier it seems well I equally care about both I’d say. They both also strike an unexplainable sense of deja vu wonder what that is wonder what its about...(EDIT from me later on on the post I don’t think I”d watch it actually given I had forgotten the very simple name of it after just a few more teasers and had to go all the way back...and then i dont remember exactly what was up so do I care actually I think not)
Next Home School and damn yall rly don’t like schools huh. I don’t think they even want to avoid the comparison when tehy reprise so much of the cast but someone tell them they’ll never have another Gifted like. If they turn it into full horror that doesnt lose too much of its tension to repetitive teasing of a mystery and make it mostly tense and dangerous, I could be hello into it tho, but to trust they won’t drag a story at all, it’s a bit too much faith. I do have to say at least the trailer is well crafted, so maybe they should keep the same editor and it’ll be fine (i say that in knowledge that editing a show and a trailer is two different skills i kno. i kno. still tho.) cause next to Some Other Teasers, it didn’t feel so agonisingly long. Twas fine twas fine. Once again, I’m not closing my eyes, keeping it in mind, it doesnt feel fresh exactly but it also doesn’t reek of disaster for now. Could be fun if they don’t shy away from cheesy full horror moviesque show.
Cupid’s last wish is huh. Something. Got me invested in the cute lil farm life like yea yea send these two to the countryside again I don’t mind. And then it just??? What is happening??? It’s punches after punches, first turning it into big dramatic family kerfuffle and then the one of the jhhfhs bodyswap??? I think this concept is best represented in it’s nature of absolute rollercoaster by the jump from fighting and struggling against the docs to?? they are holding each other??? Ok???? what is going on?? most baffling teaser so far I am absolutely at loss for words it’s like they knew anything Earthmix would still pull in the view so they just threw in their passion project of completely bonkers plot made of every idea without any judgement of whether or not itd work. Would watch if the second teaser is even more messy because I do love a mess that really delves deep into being a dumpster fire.
I get to watch stuff I wouldn’t even glance at for the sake of completion, so lets go with mh, Oops! Mr. Superstar Hit on Me, which I’d have a hard time judging fairly given I’d have skipped it in any other circumstances. ITs very wattpad romcom which I can get into but I wouldn’t trust gmmtv wwith my life to pull it off, though the vibe of the comedy bits we got here n there were fine, I just don’t really trust a genuine romance build idk, not like I care much anyway sdhdhds. so not like i have much thoughts to give
Once more, My Dear Donovan certainly will exist I suppose. And I will not exist in the same area I suppose. This one didn’t even have the hints of fun banter Mr Superstar did, instead this is just eh. Very typical boring ol romance with the usual tropes and unlikeable main man. At least the narration’s self awareness tells me they know they’re just making a show, doesn’t make it better but well. Love the shit green screen tho.
The Warp Effect has a lesbian in it. It also has the world’s stupidest plot. Fact is don’t side eye me but was that a movie with the same plot and characters I may watch it, in a post-good way. But as a show? I don’t have that sort of time to dedicate to it. Need to say though that “there will be a natural disaster everytime you have sex until you fix these people’s sex lives” is a sentence I’ve heard now, and I’m fine with it.
My reviews were getting shorter so thankfully The Eclipse comes in and I do have stuff to say, first of all ANOTHER EVIL SCHOOL? I don’t mind. Also this one I remember watching partly at lunch and wondering, huh, this is multiple shows. What is this about? And then The Mutuals said the same so glad the confusion is shared. Is this horror? Is this enemies to lovers rom com? Is this action? Is this mystery? Is this supernatural? Conspiracies, homoerotic fights, school gangs, time travel... I guess there’s everything in here. And that’s not something I mind I’d say, in a teaser, all at once, it sure is a lot, especially because they went with “lets compartiment it in genre subsections” basically, it could work though, if they balance it well, I am into genre fusion kind of movies, in shows that are given much longer air time? I can trust it in the abstract sense. Now to see how it evolves. Bit confused but not too afraid, I’m allowing the door to be open ajar. Though feeling it’ll either be fine, or a shitshow, but if its the later, I also feel itll be easy to tell from the get-go, if they manage to merge the genres and introduce the plot well, then it’s only at risk of the usual filler and overstretch, but if they don’t it’s usually evident quite quickly so, not afraid.
Good Old Days isn’t exactly my type of stuff, not so much getting bad vibes as just ‘not for me’ vibes. Seems cute etc etc...But would probably kind of bore me if the teaser’s anything to go by. Kind of another one that I feel is probs best suited for movie form but oh well.
Never Let Me Go 👁👁 could be fun could be fun...why did my text go up though....girl help how do I get down Ok ok this is a “please be good please be good”, cause I do loooooooooove LoveVSduty, big drama in the family, crime etc etc they did pull the Tropes, the correct ones, and the teaser was engaging!! interesting, a nice little flavour in here, good moments etc so I’m like, maintain that for a whole show and I’ll be the audience. I mean you know it’s good if I watch it a second time just becuase I lost 5 seconds of attention to my text deciding to fly up. How short I’m making this doesn’t convey my interest properly but know I’m mostly sparked by spite so it’s good that I have little to say except “I like what I see so far”. When the coeur hits, lil teaching to shoot gun, touch heart and falls asleep, dance on bridge togehter etc etc...n then the big drama orchestra of being in danger and struggles and mhmhmhmh ye they understand me. Don’t fuck this one up actually this isnt a “please be good” its a “if you dont maintain this i’ll bitch about it for a hot while”.
Once more, 10 years ticket is one I wonder about, in how it’d maintain its story as entertaining over what, 12 episodes? But maybe not to the extent of the others, as there is elements of mystery planted, so I’m a bit more curious about that one. I did loooove the lil confessionalish prison visitor faceoff sets, of the families one by one in front of the lil miss who “killed” someone, assuming there’s more there, and if they utilise the mechanic well it’d be great cuz I do am into heavy face to face dramatic dialog, there was a quantity of it there, keep that going. This is one that I could get into if they balance drama and mustery properly (tho I feel its def more intended to be more skewed towards tearjerking drama, I’m projecting what I want to see ok), and depending on how they build the characters, so this is kind of, needs to see it to know I guess. Hoping for a shorter span of eps on that one I feel it’d do it justice. I’m also saying that now but that’s the kind of content I need to be In The Moude for so idk man. Not necessarily on the watchout but it could work on me under special circumstances.
You Fight, and I Love. Hehe, boobies. Not to be a mysoginist but wish it didnt have a girl and was instead a sports anime. As a sort of romcom I kinda don’t care I want to see dudes throw hands as the main plot. Not uncute though, but def not to the extent I’d watch it bc I’d just spend the whole time like “this could have been about the highs and lows of boxing with the homies...”
Aight heading to the Midnight Series I do have to say, all of em share a great production as far as trailers show, like visually auditorily etc etc vibely if u wish, that’s fun n all. When it comes to story and specificities now,
That’s just because it had become my entire brain for a hot moment, but Midnight Motel, at a glance, when it threw it’s actual premise, only launched me into “HUH. Budget extracurricular without the mental illness??” so on those terms why would I watch, but it def has a more goofy feel, less of a social commentary one, and in fact, aside from the very basic premice of “youth do crime through specifically a sex work app”, there’s nothing of ressemblance, mainly, the mental illness comes from me and I’ve accepted the allegiance of my brain to a former show so now I’ll have to be the guy who goes “getting a lot of boss baby vibes from this” at any thing I see. Ngl I’d watch it though. If the production of the final product matches the one of the teaser, and its energy, I could be hella into it. So hey. There is some good news in there. But I don’t think I’m rallying to a crowd of enthusiast this is more of a “this ticks of some niche boxes of me”, I think the core premice can be a turn off? Idk it seems wacky in a good way to me. Nods Nods I’ll think about it.
Then uh. Moonlight Ch...Chicken...Has a certain title. Earthmix are EMPLOYED that’s certain. Good for them. Def not against it, they do work well together, and some vibes served there def Pique My Interests or something. I’m not exactly entirely in love either though, from teaser alone. I feel I need to see more to make an entire opinion Oh nvm I saw sign that’s the joker card to make me watch shit <3 but like it seems easy to enjoy, simply uncertain itd be a fave. And kinda fun and unexpected that I’d be more hyped about Motel than the gay romance/drama but HEY sometimes a bitch is full of surprises (it’s not so surprising actually, I know my taste. This was rigged by those character title cards in Motel. why am i talking about it on the Chicken review...oh no...I’ve got it bad...)
And at last Dirty Laundry, seems stupid in a way I could get into. Nanon in drag. Sure sure. Maybe out of the three the one I care about less because I’m hardly convinced at a glance by thai comedies, usually the movies and shows that aren’t comedy centric are funnier somehow, but I think that’s a bit of a constant about comedies in general ngl...In this case I saw potentials of jokes but not rly much of the ones they showed off landing. So well. But yea out of the three most likely to be forgotten by me by the time it airs sorryyyyy <3
How many body swaps did they put in this roster fdgdfsds...While I couldn’t care about in in Cupid’s last wish, Vice Versa seems to have a bit more of a potential, in how they defined the body swap. Another case of “well I can stay looking out for this one”, I think it seems pretty fun, and the trailer itself since to give enough to make a show out of (love stories, getting adjusted to the other body, the struggle of making connections that only exist there and not wanting to go back etc etc there’s potential there’s potential, there’s sustenance). So hey. Not bad. I can get behind that. Please be good you seem fun if you are.
Absolutely epic blood fx right at the start of PS I hate you, which, with the rest of the overall vibe, could sell something fun in the most trashy way. If they go 100% with it, making it as shamelessly over the top as they can, we can reach campy girlboss murder movie territory and that IS something I can get behind, but I want this to be a murder fest then. I want these girls to go apeshit. If they get just a bit shy with the concept and try to make it serious it’ll suck, but if they know to keep it light hearted then it’s a masterpiece to me. But then I’m talking from the perspective of a bad tv soap enjoyer.
Nothing against a fair and simple romcom, thus I have nothing against My School President. She doesn’t exactly spark up any love at first sight in me either though, in a way where I’ve seen her before, but she’s still a sustainable meal. The pasta of TV in a way. So once again, that’s one dependant on pace and vibe, and on timing of Me. Though in between this one and the one mentioned before with that final remark (star and sky?) had I to watch ONE I’d pick this one, she manages a better balance of light hearted and drama, and something fun>>>>>smth else when it comes to seeing reheated food. Maybe she could even pull out a VERY fun second final trailer which will make me go “actually I underestimated it i can get into it.”
Devil Sister ...exists IG. I’d rank it in “it exists and I’ll forget it does once the teaser is finished” which is sad win is still very pretty but alas u_u I’m running out of stamina there but also it’s very inoffensive n the premice is simple n cute, so I kinda wish I was into it but unfortunately they decided they couldnt just do typical they had to also make it boring, too bad too bad.
Get You’re my favourite going just to go “aaaah so THIS is the kristmike thing I’ve heard about mhmhmhm”. And more timetravel??? They had something for fantasy, but VERY specific fantasy this year. Travel in time or exchange bodies. Nothing More. Ok but also the concept here quite fun like dsjfdsds or at least I’d say teh Reveal, yea yea that’s fun. Having to look over my Krist bias but I SUPPOSE. I don’t have anything against this. Hurts to say nearly but i could be into it. I want to be a hater but they do do me dirty with some tropes and vibes so if you see me getting into it no you don’t. Like I can envision going “oh this moment of the plot prolly gonna hit oh this could be fun” so well. Time to be fair I suppose *through gritted teeth*
And the last one if I didn’t miss anyone, Astrophile, didn’t expect it to be a love triangle or smth. Funnily I’m not against hte vibes, if the whole thing’s lowkey and chill like that I could see myself watching not in a “following it” way but as a neat lil late evening unwinding while doing my duolingoes moment. Or maybe it’s just the soundtrack that grabbed with with that? I don’t know, I like a chill understated romance moment. Even when its a love tr*angle main story. Maybe they’ll be powerful and pull a trouple (no they wont but a bitch can imagine, I can always remake the story in my head if the plan’s to semi watch it just for relawing bg noise).
I’m too lazy to make a ranking cuz it’s late n I haven’t fetched my daily quest rewards on my mobile games so like. Still, as a recap:
So far things I’m lookin forward to would be The Eclipse, Never Let Me Go, Midnight Motel,
and I’m still keeping an eye out for UMG, Home School, Motel Chicken and Vice Versa.
May also, in secret, get into PS I hate you and You’re my favourite. But that’ll be a surprise. May or May Not. No One Shall Know.
And may be, if the vibe is right, watch 10 years ticket, Dirty Laundry, My School President and Astrophile. But those are absolutely conditional the the weather and the alignment of planets.
In fact I know there are way too many names there for the quantity of enthusiasm I felt during watching, and for the stamina I know I can dedicate to TV nowadays, so that’s a lot of names, I’ll prolly end up watching what, 5 of those? If I’m really hyped? Who knows. I think a lot will be dependant on their final trailer and first ep, some of these ones really gave barely anything of an idea of what it’d serve. So whatever that’s my revieeeeew and I’ll be sleeping with possibly no thought at all about any of this because outside of being seen with Never Let Me Go and it’s bodyguard moment, they rly saw me not engage with the channel this year and said “k then we’re removing you from the target audience and making bland stuff bye” so sorry guys its all my fault u_u

“Wait, I could just do that?” Chat exclaimed, looking at the akuma that crumbled under his hand.
It was another day without Ladybird, but Chat and Bee were able to handle the past two akumas with ease and with little damage.
The first time around, the duo met with Ladybird’s kwami Tikki to help purify the akuma. But after witnessing Tikki eat the akuma before spitting it right out purified...let’s just say the duo were left a bit traumatized.
Not wanting to see that again, Chat and Bee decided to look for alternate ways to purify an akuma. Or at least get rid of them before causing more trouble.
“Wait, how did you not know?” Bee asked.
“Never tried.” Chat said with a slight shrug. “Which reminds me, I have to tell LB something after this.”
Queen Bee noticed how Chat frowned, his eyes becoming dull.
“You too?” Bee asked, watching as Chat’s ring was down to its last pad.
“Wait, what do you mean by ‘you too’?”
“I have to leave for the States in a few weeks. Something about having to keep appearances and the sorts.” Bee huffed, watching the Parisian sky starting to darken.
“What are the odds? I also have business in the States, although it’s more about business than appearances in my case.”
“Seeing as the two of us have to tell LB, how about we tell her the news together?” Bee suggested.
“Sounds like a plan. Although it has to wait for some other day. Right now, I have a meeting to attend, so later!”
Queen Bee watched as Chat Noir left the training grounds in a hurry, noticing the fake smile plastered on his face.
“You’re being dragged into it too, aren’t you?”
-
“Morning.” Marinette told Adrien and Chloé, much to the surprise of everyone else in the class.
How did the trio become friends overnight? And wasn’t Marinette best friends with Alya?
“Marinette. The sun is out, I’m having a great hair day and all you can say is morning?” Chloé huffed. “Good morning to you too.”
“Hello Marinette! Feeling any better?” Adrien decided to ignore Chloe, Marinette nodding.
“To be honest, a bit. Still got to take my medication and rest, but staying in bed won’t do me any good.”
Amira recalled the text message she received this morning, her father asking her how she was.
Selina had filled him in when he called back, telling him about the situation. Amira also learned of his visit through the baker’s surveillance cameras.
While she had told him that she didn’t care what he did, it hurt to see that he came to visit her.
Then again...what right did she have to feel sad that he didn’t try to talk to her when she’s already pushed him?
“-to Marinette. You see Adrikins? I’m telling you, she needs to stay-“
“He could’ve at least let me have known he came over.” Chloé and Adrien found Marinette mumbling, a frown on her face.
“He? Did someone-“ Adrien started only for Miss Bustier to walk into the class and start the class.
Chloe watched as Marinette zoned out during their first class, watching as Alya didn’t bother to check in with her supposed ‘best’ friend.
Marinette continued to zone out throughout the entire morning and then acting if nothing was wrong once lunch came around.
It bothered Chloe so much and she didn’t know. Why did it bother her to see Marinette act as if she wasn’t in pain when it was clear as day?
-
“Ladybird!” Chat called out, snapping Bee from her thoughts. It’s been three days since she last saw Ladybird, watching as their leader greeted them with a slight smile on her face. “Feeling better?”
Deja vu much?
“Chat. Bee. I’ve been doing well. Master Fu gave me the okay to return back to patrolling despite not wanting me being here.”
“How come?” Bee asked, looking out to the Parisian skyline. Tonight, it seemed foreign.
“One word: Hawkmoth.” Ladybird stated, watching as her partners looked at her with narrowed eyes. “If I stay for too long out of commission, not only will we be giving him more answers about the miraculous, but he’ll know our weakness.”
“But-”
“He’s probably caught up with the most recent information regarding the damage left behind from Dark Owl. Can’t exactly hide the evidence left behind at the stadium and his office.”
Ladybird watched as Bee and Chat nervously laughed at that, remembering the large pile of rust left at the stadium and the amount of tech to clean out of Principal Damocles’ office.
“Do you think he knows about you and-” Bee started, only to stop when LB nodded.
“He might know I’m not suited for the Ladybug, but there are also other possibilities.”
“Which are?”
“I’m like him.” Ladybird bluntly stated, getting titled heads for a reaction. “I have another life outside the mask that makes me mia.”
“Wouldn’t that apply to all of-”
“Not exactly. The two of you are mostly active, always at the scene as soon as possible. As for me, I don’t usually appear until minutes later or until halfway. That can mean many things. One, I’m a sickly person outside the mask, therefore I take longer to arrive. Or similarly, I live a little bit outside of  Paris, thus making me tardy. Third-”
“You might be an adult,” Bee stated, watching Chat look at LB with large eyes. What did he figure out?
“Or you might be someone of a high standing who can’t afford to leave their place in society to fight him, a man who has all the time to be ready to akumatize someone at a moment’s notice.”
Guess LB wasn’t expecting that answer, judging from her taken back expression.
“Right on. To think you got it on your first try.”
“Wait, you’re rich?” Bee screeched out, looking at Chat for back up. “I mean, that would explain the burner phones, the equipment at the- you have the money to buy out an entire floor!”
“Yes Bee. I’m rich, although it’s my father who’s rich and was stupid enough to forget to take away my black card.”
“You have a black card?” LB and Chat watched as Bee continued to freak out.
“What’s a black card?” Chat decided to ask, earning concerned faces from the girls. “What?”
“How do you not know what a black card is, Chat! It’s literally the symbol of being filthy rich! Not even Daddy has one!” Bee exclaimed, promptly shutting her mouth.
“You’re rich too, Bee? Wow. To think we all come from a-”
“You’re rich too?” The girls exclaimed, the trio bursting into laughter.
The three chatted for hours, learning more about themselves. Time went on, the three kids laughing and holding their stomachs as they told tales of their past and of the present. However, Bee picked up on the way Ladybird avoided talking about her father and urged the other two to talk.
What was she hiding?
“Does that make us the rich kid club?” Chat asked, earning a stifled laugh from LB and a ‘seriously?’ look from Bee. “What? It seems fitting!”
“As much as I’d like to continue to stay and talk, I think we should be heading home. It’s one in the morning and I have class tomorrow.” Bee and Chat nodded in agreement, the three bidding each other farewell.
-
“So two days, huh.” Amira hummed, watching as Selina packed her bag. While it was two in the morning, Amira thought it would be best to drop by and visit Selina. The talk with her team left her in a giddy state, Amira wondering why she even came here.
“Actually, I might be leaving tomorrow evening.”
“Why?” While Amira still wasn’t particularly fond of the woman, she felt a part of her wanted Selina to stay. Perhaps it was the fact that Selina had been by her side these past few days.
Or the denial that continued to linger in Amira. That she enjoyed Selina’s concern over her.
While Selina was by her side, Amira didn’t have restless nights where she would wake up from dreams she couldn’t remember. But from what Sabine had told her, Amira used to have nights where she would be waking up screaming and calling out Jason’s name like a madwoman.
But ever since Selina came over, they stopped happening. “What made you-”
“The gala was pushed forward towards this month. Towards Thanksgiving.”
“Why would-”
“Dick had made the decision to push it forward after getting a phone call in regards to the main event of this year’s gala.”
“Main event?” Amira asked, now wondering what type of event caused Dick to push up the date of the gala. What event caused her father to accept the change of date from it’s usually wintery day?
“This year, Bruce was eagerly planning the main event with such pride, making sure everything was perfect to announce the main event. But then, Jason’s...Jason’s death happened and-
“The Catherine Todd Foundation.” Amira whispered, feeling her heart stop.
That’s right. How did she forget? How dare she forget? How dare she forget her brother’s dream?
“That’s right.” Selina closed her suitcase shut. “Bruce was planning to reveal the latest Wayne foundation-Jason’s foundation- that he had planned for months.”
“That was planned...for this year’s gala?” Amira asked, feeling her mouth dry.
Her father didn’t utter a word about it. Nor did Dick. Did...did they not-
“Amira. Amira, look at me.” Selina coaxed, cupping Amira’s face into her hands. “Dick just found out about it when he got a call about one of the sponsors. The sponsor wanted to change the date to make sure-”
“Why didn’t he tell me about it?” Amira whispered, feeling something roll down her face, salt meeting her lips. “Why did no one-”
“Amira, kitten. Dick hasn’t called you in a while, right?” A slow nod. “He’s been busy setting up the gala in your father’s steed. Bruce...your father holed himself again in his study when he found out the sponsor had called in. He...he had forgotten about it. It slipped his mind after-”
“He could’ve called me so I could’ve helped him rework the-”
“Amira.”
“I could've helped!”
“Amira, Dick couldn’t-“
“You wouldn’t understand Selina! You don’t know-“
“I do.” Selina said softly, holding Amira’s trembling hands. “Just like you, I loved the brat to pieces.”
“You’ve...you loved Jason?”
“Sure, we didn’t get on the right foot, but I did go to love the boy. Little brat loved to play dirty. Remember he endangered his life once just so I would catch him and make me drop my guard.”
“Sounds just about him.” Amira softly said, Selina picking up on her relaxation. “Jason liked playing dirty, no matter who he was up against. Once he popped his arm off its socket during one of our sparring lessons, which caused me to stop fighting. When I went to check on him, he popped it back in and won the match.
Even though I knew he was alright, I started bawling and hugged him. Father and Alfred came running to see what had happened and when Jason told him what he had done, Father scolded him. ‘Sometimes, you have to play dirty. A fight in Gotham will never be fair and square, old man. You, better than anyone else, should know that.’” Amira said with a smile. “He’d always use that against Father and would win his case. Or perhaps Father let him, knowing that using those tricks would help in a fight one day.”
“And it did, although it mostly grossed out Riddler when he saw Jason do that. Should’ve seen the look at his face.” Selina said with a chuckled, reminiscing that day.
“I would rather have Jason back than wishing to have seen that.” Amira admitted, looking at Selina with unshed tears. “Jason… Jason was the glue that held us together. He was the one who brought us together, so when...when he died...we...we-” a shuddering breath escaped Amira. “We fell apart...
Dad became so broken that he began to isolate himself from us. He would shut himself in his study for hours and from what Dick told me - days! When I was still in the manor, we wouldn’t see him at dinner nor would we hear from him unless he came back home frustrated from a work meeting.
He no longer made time for us. For Dick...nor me. He allowed himself to drown in his work, both as CEO of WE and Batman”
“Amira.” Selina softly said, wiping away the tears that had been running down Amira’s face.
“When I finally got to talk to him again...it was to tell me I was being sent to Paris.
He didn’t even let me say goodbye to anyone, not even Jason...
He was at it again. He was isolating me again, but this time to a place where I couldn’t do anything no matter what I tried. I would have no friends to help me, nor connections to help me break out of my father’s control. The only option I was left with was to obey.”
“But Amira, you have friends now. You have people you can lean on. So why? Why can’t you-”
“It was all Jason.” Amira said. “Jason managed to convince Father to let me explore the outside, not me.
Jason was the one who made Dad understand that I shouldn't be kept inside like a trophy bird. That I should be allowed to spread my wings, to grow. How did he do it? I would never know, but I wish he had shown me how.
I only knew how to yell and scream to get what I wanted. I wasn’t like Jason who proved he was right, who fought for what he deemed just.”
“Amira, you don’t have to keep-”
“I do, Selina! I do!” Amira cried, digging her hands into her hair. “My father won’t see nor talk to me otherwise if I don’t! Father never understood the damage he’s done to me unless I show it to him. He’s...he’s!”
Selina pulled Amira into a hug, feeling the girl stiffen in her hold. Selina held the girl tight against her, letting tears run down her face that she didn’t know she was holding back.
To hear the amount of pain she was holding in, the amount of troubles she had to deal with...and to think Bruce was the cause of the majority of it.
“Your feelings are valid Amira, your frustrations are as well. But trust me when I say, things will get better and you’re already doing a wonderful job of moving forward.” Selina began to stroke Amira’s hair when she felt Amira tremble. “It may seem as if the situation isn’t getting any better, but it is due to your efforts of wanting to change it.
So give yourself a break and just let it all out. I’ll make sure to protect while you do.”
That was all Amira needed to let herself cry out her heart, hugging Selina back as she wailed her soul out.
Selina drew circles on her back as she sat there, making sure to not let Amira go.
How did Bruce let it get this bad?
-
“You’re going to the States?” Marinette asked, looking up from her calendar in her planner.
It’s been two days since Amira last saw Selina, already missing her. It took everything in her to not beg her to stay. To not leave her...but she knew better than that. She had to leave and Amira had to respect that.
So here she was, letting her mind try to forget Selina’s warm hug and the calmness she felt when Selina hugged her.
“Yup!” Adrien said with a smile that Marinette could look through from a mile away.
“Adrien and I were both invited to some event that our parents want us to attend, something about having to keep images and whatnot.” Chloe elaborated, noticing the last Thursday in the month circled in red. What a coincidence. “As happy as I am that my mother called me, I didn’t want it to be this way.”
“At least she gave you the choice. My father is threatening me with going or not being able to leave the house again.” Adrien bluntly stated, flinching when Marinette narrowed her eyes. “Baguette, what’s-“
“He threatened you? Your father threatened you?” Chloé and Adrien could feel the murderous intent seeping from the girl. “Let me talk with-“
“Baguette! It’s alright! I told him I’ll do it on a few conditions!” Adrien practically scrambled the details out. He watched as Marinette softened a bit.
“Conditions?”
“For starters, he’ll let me go with Chloé. No Nathalie nor Gorilla. Second, he will not be allowed to contact me nor Chloé. If I need his help or if I want to go back, I have to be the one to call him back. Third and final one, if I manage to settle a meeting between him and one of the people he told me to make contact with, he has to agree to let me do whatever I want for the rest of the year.”
“Wow Adrikins. Since when did you start stepping up towards your dad?”
“Since I realized that my so-called freedom is still being controlled. If I fully want to be free, I have to start by loosening my father’s control over me. So far, I’ve been seeing results from my efforts. I don’t plan on backing down until I fully achieve my goal.”
Marinette watched as Adrien smiles proudly, not being able to hold back her own smile.
“Hope you reach it Adrien. I know it’ll be worth it. So then, when’s the event?”
“It’s in three weeks, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Adrien and I will be attending Wayne Gala.”
-
Ladybird looked at Bee and Chat with the same look she had given Adrien and Chloé.
“The both of you? The two of you are going to be mia in three weeks?” Ladybird asked in disbelief, watching as the two of them rubbed the back of their heads. First Chole and Adrien and now these two? “Do you realize-“
“It’s why we’re telling you now and not later this week or next. We know-“
“Do you really?” Ladybird growled, huffing as she turned around, the Parisian night staring right back at her. “I’m sorry. I shouldn't have-“
“No, you’re right.” Chat said, Ladybird picking up on his sorrow. “It is stupid of us to leave you-“
“Master Fu.” Ladybird casually said, looking at Bee and Chat. “I can ask Master Fu to see what I can do.”
“Master Fu?” Bee asked, looking at Chat for clarification.
“Oh right, you’ve never heard about him. He’s the one who chooses the wielders for the miraculouses. He’s the one who chose Ladybird and me. As for you, you were recommended to be a wielder as I vouched for Rena Rouge to be a temporary holder.”
“Wait. I was recommended to-“
“I recommended Master Fu to give you a miraculous. However, that doesn’t mean I fully know your identity. I did recommend two people to become Pollen’s holder after all.” Ladybird looked at Bee who was on the verge of tears. “Guess Master Fu chose the better of the two and I’m glad he did. You’re a great partner.”
Bee ran and threw herself at Ladybird, the two girls tumbling to the floor as Chat just stood there smiling.
“I promise to make up for the time we miss!”
“Don’t worry about it Bee. The two of you shouldn’t worry about a thing. Everything will turn out alright. You’ll see.”
-
No. Everything didn’t turn out alright.
The day came where Chat and Bee bid LB a temporary goodbye and Adrien and Chloe boarded a plane towards Gotham. The minute they said goodbye, Amira grew restless, uneasy.
It didn’t help that this uneasiness traversed towards her civilian life as well.
As she walked into the school, it felt like if everyone was watching her every move, judging her.
It was Gotham Academy all over again...
Wally had assured it that it was going to be fine, that she was worrying over nothing.
But Amira knew better than to ignore the emptiness she felt in her chest.
Sure, Alya talked her ears off, but Marinette didn’t like the feeling of emptiness around her despite Alya’s clear company.
Without Chloé and Adrien, everything just seemed...off.
She didn’t realize their importance until chemistry class.
She watched people get into pairs as Miss Mendeleiev finished telling her instructions for today’s lab. With the clap of her hands, everyone started to pair up...except her.
“Miss Mendeleiev. I don’t seem to have a partner. If it’s alright, can I-“
“No partner?” Miss Mendeleiev asked, realizing only then that three of her students were out. “I can’t just let you do the lab by yourself Marinette. It’s unsafe.”
“Miss Mendeleiev, I am fine being on my-“
“Now, now. You know that in my lab, no one is allowed to touch the chemicals without a partner.” Miss Mendeleiev clapped her hands to get the class’ attention. “While it seems like everyone has a partner, Marinette doesn’t. Now, who would love to have her in their group or volunteers to be Marinette’s partner?”
Marinette’s didn’t need to turn around to know no one raised their hand.
After all, she was always doing labs with Sabrina or Alya, although this time around, Alya had promised Alix to be her lab partner. That left Marinette to be partnerless this time around.
“So no one is going to volunteer? That’s alright. Nino, please help Marinette with this lab. Kim, join Ivan and Mylène.”
Marinette heard as Nino approached her, turning slowly to avoid seeing everyone else pity him.
“Look forward to working with you.” Marinette said with a slight bow, only to receive nothing in return.
Seems like this would be a long lab.
-
Or not.
Marinette somehow ended up talking up a storm with Nino.
“You do parkour?” Nino asked, looking as if Marinette grew a second head. “No offense, you don’t even look like the type-“
“Parkour, gymnastics and martial arts. Of course, I haven’t touched gymnastics in a while since my mentor has been busy. Doesn’t help that he’s on the other side of the world.” Marinette said, pouring the hydrogen peroxide into the water and then into the catalase test tube. She watched as the latter created bubbles.
“Dudette, that’s amazing!” Nino exclaimed, opening up his notebook to the back of his page.
“Dudette?” Marinette looked at the page he opened, noticing some notes about a personal project. How did she come to that conclusion? Simple. It said ‘Directed by Nino Lahiffe.’
“Ah, I should’ve asked if-“
“It’s fine. Just taken aback by the name since it’s my first time hearing it.”
“Really? What do your friends call you then?”
“My brother calls Mimi and my friend calls me Bugette.”
“Alya calls you Bugette?” Nino asked, writing down his observations of the catalase in boiling water.
“As much as Alya thinks she’s my friend, she isn’t quite there. And it’s Wally who calls me Bugette. He’s a friend of mine before I transferred here.” Marinette elaborated, sliding her notebook towards him. “Haven’t spoken to him in a few days though.”
“Alright class!” Miss Mendeleiev said with a clap of her hands. “At this time, start wrapping up your workstation! Make sure to properly rinse out the tubes and place them into their appropriate-“
“Marinette. Is it alright to call you dudette? Of course, if you don’t-“
“I’m fine with it.” Marinette told him with a smile. “I don’t mind being called dudette, Nino.”
-
“-only known her for 30 minutes. How can you say that she wasn’t doing all the work so that-” Marinette heard as she approached the windows that belonged to her classroom. She stopped before they could see her through the glass.
If her ears didn’t betray her, the one speaking right now was-
“Alix, she wasn’t doing all the work. We both did the lab toget-”
“She’s friends with Chloe.” Ivan added.
“How do you expect us-”
“You didn’t try to even get to know her. Yes, I also didn’t want to interact with her before being paired up with her, but now I wish I did. I wish I had talked to her earlier on in the school year and you guys should too! She’s-”
“You shouldn’t pressure others to try and talk to me Nino.” Marinette said, strolling into the classroom. “Let them take their time to try and approach me.” Marinette handed Nino a piece of paper. “I also looked into a few things you mentioned earlier and thought I should give you this. They’re always giving out free courses and workshops, so I thought I should let you know.”
Nino looked at the paper Marinette gave him and was surprised to see a list of different companies and dates in which they held workshops for upstarting directors.
Just as he was about to ask where she had gotten the information from, the bell rang, signaling the beginning of the next class.
-
Amira wishes she was able to escape Anansi’s punches just as quickly as she was able to bolt out the classroom earlier that day.
Amira had been trying to call Wally, trying to get any info on her two friends who should’ve have arrived at Gotham when her phone began to yell ‘AKUMA ALERT.’
So having to leave her worries behind, Amira yelled ‘SPOTS ON’ as she headed towards Hawkmoth’s latest Victim.
Rolling away from Anansi’ punches and parrying them took a toll on Ladybird, feeling the air leave her body as she was slammed onto the ferris wheel structure.
Managing to find a safe space within an alleyway, Ladybird reached for her burner phone when she was reminded of her dilemma.
Her two partners were away...she told them not to worry…
“Here you are!” Anansi roared, striking the alleyway where Ladybird was hiding, causing the vigilante to become airborne. As Ladybird crashed onto the pavement, the transformation was called off, Tikki opening her mouth to scold Amira for dropping her transformation when she promptly closed her mouth.
Calling her transformation off, when she crashed onto the pavement and scrambled her way towards another alley.
“Tikki, go to Master Fu.”
“But-” Amira looked at Tikki with stern eyes.
“Tikki, go and don’t worry about me. I don’t have super strength but that doesn’t mean I don’t have a plan.”
“Amira.” Tikki whimpered.
“You now what we have to do. Now go!” Taking one last look at Amira, Tikki flew off.
“Please be safe Amira. Please, don’t do anything reckless.”
-
“Come on Little Bug! Is that all you got?” Anansi smugly said, cracking her knuckles as she watched Ladybird wipe off the blood that seeped from her mouth.
Spitting out a bit of blood, Amira grinned. Beads of sweat rolled down her face, something Amira didn’t know she missed dearly.
“Did you really think that was my best? Come on Anansi, I thought it was pretty obvious what was going on here.”
“What are you talking about?” Anansi growled, noticing someone land behind Ladybird. Anansi watched as Ladybird glew red and healed her wounds. “You!”
“That’s right Anansi.” Ladybird grinned. “My backup is here. Carapace!”
“On it!” Carapace yelled, throwing his shield towards Anansi.
With a simple step to the side, Anansi was able to dodge it, only to get her foot wrapped by Ladybird, slipping backward as her back connected with the ground.
Carapace tried to land a hit, but missed when Anansi rolled to the side, but was then dragged towards Ladybird.
Swinging her foot to the side, Anansi shook Ladybird off when she noticed the makeshift ring around her.
How did they set that up? Who set it up when she was bust fending of both Ladybird and Carapace.
“Up for a round Anansi? Or are you afraid of losing against someone half your size and weight?” Ladybird challenged, the smug on her face fanning the annoyance within Anansi.
“You’re on Bug. Can’t wait to beat you and show you that a bug should never mess with a spider!”
-
“Come on Anansi! I thought you said this match will be over in one punch! Oh wait a minute! You can’t even land one!” Ladybird said in a haughty tone, causing Anansi to lunge at her, sending one final punch onto the Arc de Triomphe.
Anansi felt as the ground began to shake, only then realizing the trap Ladybird set down for her.
Grabbing something from the ground, Ladybird grabbed hold of Carapace and brought them to where Alya was being held hostage.
“Carapace, now!”
“Shellter!” Carapace yelled, shielding them as the Arc de Triomphe crumpled to the ground, trapping Anansi underneath.
Once the debris settled and the dust settled, Anansi’s headgear appeared by Ladybird’s feet, causing Ladybird to smile. Gleefully, Ladybird slammed her yo-yo against the thing and cracked it, the akuma emerging from it.
Capturing the akuma and purifying it, Ladybird yelled her words. “Miraculous Ladybug!”
Carapace watched with wonder as all the damage Anansi caused was repaired, the Arc de Triomphe restored before his eyes. “Meet me at the Eiffel Tower,” he heard Ladybird say before she swung away.
-
Ladybird stood at the Eiffel Tower, looking at the setting sun in the distance. She had yet to receive a call from-
“Ladybird! So, what do you think about-”
“Hold on Carapace.” Ladybird cut off, Carapace now wondering what was going on. “Not all of us are here.”
“All of us? But I thought-”
“Sorry for coming late!” A voice said, causing Carapace to jump.
Soon, something on the ground began to grow, the pink glow becoming bigger by the second. Emerging from the glow was a girl that seemed to resemble a mouse themed hero.
“Carapace, I’d like you to meet the other vigilante who helped us today.” Carapace remained silent as the mouse themed vigilante shyly waved at them, tucking a loose orange auburn hair strand behind her ear.
“Hi, my name is Gris. It was a great honor to work with you, Carapace. Ladybird.”
-
Pulling their luggage behind them, Adrien and Chloé scanned the welcoming area. Their flight lasted longer than what they thought it would be and they were ecstatic when they landed a few hours ago.
Their eyes landed on a gentleman with a poster board with their names on it.
When they approached the older man, they couldn’t help but notice the faintest smile on him.
“I presume you’re Mr.Pennyworth?” Adrien spoke up, Alfred nodding in response.
“I am Master Adrien. It's also a pleasure to meet you too, Miss Chloé. Welcome to Gotham.”

A YEAR IN A DREAM
I knew things were different, even before my eyelids parted. A feeling so deep it would resonate across the expanse of time, maybe even the fabric that made up space-time itself. Thoughts made from only dreams.
The light made me wince, from stark white to mellow yellow. I spied the glow through squinted vision.
The sun cresting the curve of the earth some thirty kilometers out to sea. Even further it's grasp reached the limits of my imagination, beyond all.
The sheets cool to the touch, scented of warmth, comfort and memories. Hair dappled my cheek, it was mine. Long ratty brown, past the shoulders. The realization coming when I washed it from of my vision.
They drifted on the winds, light agile fresh.
For what it was worth.
2* I knew it was a night to end all nights ever to come until tomorrow s.
This path cuts through shadows deep.
The spot loud with life. Kissing is what bought them together.
Conconsisisness, the shore line reaching out to the ever.
The taste of blood didn't linger to later and not for long. The furrowed brow searching for an answer to the question of the fist.
I woke cool and shivering. My body dry but skin tingled with goosebumps. The cold cadaverous hand, drained of blood, wrinkled finger tips, an automated shake over coming my body. Is this real or a faded memory from past life, fragmented dreams resonating throughout many different bodies, lives and souls. A finite repetitive circle allowing only a number beginning with 3.147, or was that the ending?
Days are numbered, counting up or down there is not difference. Merely the ticking of the hands, a vibrating element recorded within redundancies of so many per second. Cataloged counted and averaged out just to give the purest form of a second. No closer to infinity than the highest number yet recorded. One second over the day times this past year.
31500000 million seconds pass, in the closure of eyes for me to have woken up in which could at first only be categorized as a dream, a year of. My life had changed, for the better at First glance yes, but as the days tocked on memories flashed my thoughts every night.
But she was nowhere to be seen in them or elsewhere.
What was I doing? Deja Vu. Seen before.
I need to write about Deja Vu.
You have.
When?
Umm...here, see.
Article 26, 'I've seen it Aft'
Knowledge is something you know or have read, seen, felt, heard, lived, loved, all the facets of general ignorance. I read the title knew the words instantaneously. Did I write it to myself, a clue as to what was is and are. I dripped, consciousness fell from my face. A tear landed on the page, my own personal watermark
As close to nirvana as any yogi had been, the world around me lite up with extreme sharpness, details seen only through lens' shaped curved and polished. Vetting out in to the distance to truly time travel. My sight faded, going, gone from gold to white. Feelings seen through Aura, speculative as my other senses overcame the impact of memories flooding back.
But still she was nowhere to be seen.
Letters formed first, then words. Sentences there after. The pen lifting from the page only to allow space for the letters to breathe.
Paragraphs like speeches, heard before. Words wrote themselves from my mind, neck and shoulder. Down my arm till my hand commanded the will of the ink. The hands of time still tocked and ticked to the beatings that now pummeled my brain. Virtual reality condensed to a quickest/ sudden flash across the face of nothingness. The relentless urge to find the source of where it all had Come from. My mind and memory worked in overdrive, listening to the many, so many monologues, speeches, quotes and anecdotes that it held. For times it felt laborious, tedious in its procession. Time passing, sun's burying themselves below the edge of what could be seen. Faster the days continued fate merrily taking notice from afar.
She was nowhere still.
Monotonous, the perfect future now faded. I was back in a somewhat awkward realization that I need to do something. The smoke drifted past my eyes, catching ray's of light the grey kaleidoscoped twisted reality. The pen moved across the header of the loose sheet of white. Article 1:
A man is not what he does, he is how he does it. At some point he has to become what it is.
Becoming what it is.
True to himself first as to others that follow, a journey built upon every footstep. Present in the moment half of all thought recalls the past. The other travels past what could be to become was is. Stored, sorted and recalled again in every future moments decision.
I riffled through the study, my study. A dimly lit room, warn with rich chocolate oak bookshelves. They held books of plenty, hopefully there were more than just decorations, that I had read them all. As my gaze spied upon the spines of so many authors I realized I had read them all. Every book I had ever read was there. From those standard reads from the school days to those special ones that engrossed you year after year. No real order in their lay, just somewhat ascetic.
And there she was. As much of a misunderstanding that i was in, I knew it was her.
The desk a large wooden creature. Thick trunked legs holding the massive frame. Green leather straddled its back. There were numerous stacked sheets of paper, some hand written, others looking as though there were ready for publication. Tags on their top left, a date which was in the future as well as a picture and title, was that the cover art? The date in the future obviously but as I looked deeper the remnants of a though lingered, just out of reach for my mind to view.
The larger window showed nothing of the outside night, a warm reflection dotted with a trinity of blurry points of light. I could only assume other houses in the distance. The night felt somewhat closed off, the quiet place one finds in the middle of the night. Silent and still, voices in the mind loud.
I awoke with pen still in hand, the top most sheet scanning from top to bottom went from ledgeable to scratches, loops of ever decreasing size till their coherence was not. There were numerous pages, no titles of any kind telling me where they began or ended. Apart from one.
Article 2:
The blank page filled my peripheral till there was nothing but that stark white sheet, spread out across the fabric of space-time. It surrounded everything I had ever known, would ever know. The pen landed firm and with purpose. The moist tip marked, telling me of where I was.
A singularity.
I was here, the black dot alone. How do I get to there? The pen once again marked the page. The years of science fiction programs told me nothing of how to do that, just the folding of the page itself, the three dimensional space transforming into a higher dimension. But with the folding of the page so will yourself be folded. Who goes first though. By the simple act of changing, the act itself is enough for the later to follow. Or does change come from circumstance, body and soul merrily going alone for the ride, adapting to the surrounding world. Article 2: a fragmented dream of an idea not seen. I told myself I'd come back to it. It needed more. But was it already too much. Just a knowing there was something more. Who would be the one the make the first move?
Looking through, past the words, the pen mark.
It was starting to feel like I was walking upon a mobious strip, one sided never-ending no matter how hard and far I travelled I would always end up at the beginning or the end. Evidently, not knowing where but going someplace. Not all the less bad, the chance to right those miss steps.
Once again the cool morning breeze pulsated through the glass door ajar leading to the balcony. The green fingers of the plant next to the door tickled themselves. Sounding of children at play. Numerous pillows adorned the floor around the bed, larger than one person needed.
There was something missing, I layed on my back staring at the ceiling, sheets ruffled around my mind, one foot cocooned the other free to touch the cool fingers on the breaze
Was this the dream or the other? I couldn't remember the last time I slept just the repetition of two different lives. I was tired, physically and mentally I needed to rest. More so I needed to get my mind in check. For what I needed to do I needed focus.
The morning came and went. I lay somewhat comfortable on the bed, drifting in and out of a sharp realization. The realization that I had to choose which side of the dream I was going to be on. One was perfect but getting there would take me to the limits of my capabilities. The other allowed me to drift through a life of mere obscurity. The afternoon cast shadows, long fingers over the land and sea. The building like sun-dials. Eyes opened slowly, dilating to see a haze of neon blues, reds and purples. Behind the city started to come alive. I could have stayed right where I was, the comfort, the ease, the complacency of not having to do anything. Or even wanting to do them. That feeling stirred my thoughts, a memory not of the now but of what could be.
Article 2:
Stagnation lies in pools of water still. A stream is refreshed constantly, water flows and washes away the filth. Something something mossy rock.
My eyes opened, blackness...
Something was different, far from the extraordinary circumstances that have been happening over the past week. A knowing of a change in this world. I got up and walked over to the sliding glass doors leading to the balcony. I opened them and stepped through. The air was still, crisp but comfortable. Nothing a throw cover wouldn't help. The haze I remembered earlier was gone. The neon glow sharp in my eyes.
I dremt of her again:
I am making a farse.
What's that?
It's a stuffing of sorts.
No what does farse mean?
A stuff of sorts. I am not sure. Care to look it up?
The newest, biggest dictionary was found. She flicked the pages and found the word.
Was I only remembering the moments that I wanted to
Article 3:
What lays in someone else's mind will always be a mystery to you, even to them as Well. A Mandelbrot, set deep within the mind, of consciousness only you can feel. Thoughts, a whisper on the breeze.
Article 4:
Society turns and churns, a relentless stream though existence.
What feeds that drive?
A simple reasoning to be a better self?
The exaggerated input thrown down our throats by the screen?
Or a feeling of dissatisfaction that resonates deep within subconsciousness. Passed down through the blood of past lives. Like the arterial roads we travel daily. Feeding our own insecurities to perpetuate a dull and meaningless travel?
Pink Floyd said it best with. I have become Comfortably Numb. The rat race with no end in sight.
But yet we still go on with the daily trivialities. Foregoing dreams, aspirations and a life of extra-ordinary adventure.
Only shadows in my dreams
How many perfect concoctions can I make up in my mind? The response to a long ago remark, still repeating over and over again till I can make amends. Feed my ego at a love lost, argument left whispered off on a breeze already passed.
Article 5:
TIme knows no passage within the realms of the subconscious mind.

((Idk what to title this. DOTD stuff/Royal Blacksmith HC lore.
WARNING: this is long.))
Dareth ran the tablecloth up and down the counter, scrubbing out the spots that had ring stains to the beat of the song cracking from the radio. It was still too early in the evening to open up shop, but he didn't mind the wait. It gave him a lot of time to double check everything and re-count inventory. He flicked off the radio and on the TV, leaning on the counter to catch the news.
Nothing important was happening today, unless you counted traffic jams as a lethal city attack, and it was the perfect weather to hit the beach according to the news. No doubt Gayle was trying to find something to talk about, but, "Not a single story to get a scoop out of today, miss reporter," he spoke to the screen. Eyeing the window, he contemplated going out for an hour to catch some rays. Not that he needed it immediately, but he had notice that his tan was starting to fade as of late.
Knocking against the door pulled him from his thoughts. "We're not open yet, come back in three hours!" Dareth called, hoping his voice carried though the thick wood.
"Not a patron!" A prideful voice muffled back.
"Lou?" He stood up and answered the door. "Lou! Good to see ya, how have you been?"
"Well I've been just wonderful," he smiled and stepped inside, taking a seat at the bar while Dareth returned to his position, "I stopped by to talk to you about Day of the Departed plans."
"You know me, always room in my schedule for that. That's a few months away though, right?"
"Yes, but its always good to plan these things far in advance. Anyway, the other day when I was going through the archives, It hit me that I never let Cole experience how the Royal Blacksmiths formed."
Dareth lowered the TV volume, "Wait, I thought Cole didn't want to be a Blacksmith?"
"No, of course not! But its family history that I think he and his friends should know.. on top of a performance of course! That’s why I've come to you! We need the Jade Palace rented out." Lou beamed.
Bewilderment struck across his face, "Lou. You can't just rent out the Jade Palace- sure the city rebuilt it and turned it into a memorial.. museum.. actually I haven't been inside. But! Isn't that a little 'out there' in terms of.. you know.."
He laughed, "That’s why I came to you! You know how to make the impossible work out! And it's perfect too! 'The Royal Blacksmiths perform at the Jade Palace: a Historical Unraveling', I can see the headline now." He looked up, picturing the scenario in his mind.
Dareth folded his arms and thought about it. No doubt he'd have to talk to a rabbit hole of people just to pull it off, at least Lou came to him about it now rather than one week in advanced. "I'll see what I can do," he sighed.
"Haha, yes! I knew I could count on you!" He jumped up and headed towards the door, "I'll give you more details once I flesh them out. This is going to be so much fun!" The door shut in excitement.
---------
"You said your dad planned something?" Jay popped a few pieces of candy in his mouth, "something about the palace?"
"Yeah," he reached over and dug into the bag, grabbing out a taffy. "He said he had something special for the team- more importantly me, but he extended the invitation. He said something about Blacksmith history, I just hope he doesn’t drone on and on." Cole rolled his eyes.
"It sounds like you didn't have a very good experience with this in the past?"
He shrugged, "My dad was never a 'when I was your age' person, but he was a 'your great great whatever' person when it came to performing. I didn't like listening to it, so I never payed much attention."
The two climbed the front stairway just as people were departing. so much for making the show, but at least they weren’t absurdly late and didn’t leave Lou waiting half an hour. Kai and Nya looked away from the entry way and waved at the two, drawing the attention of Dareth was was hovering around the side walls. He whistled, Lou snapping away from the conversation of the quartet and smiling. “Cole! Jay! there you two are!”
“Hey dad-” the two hugged, “sorry we missed the performance. Crime never rests.”
“Yeah, luckily Pixal and Zane took over for us.” Jay chirped, “So, a story? Will it be in the form of a song?”
He laughed and rested a hand on Cole’s shoulder, leading the two up through the entrance. “No, no, I’m afraid not. The boys want to call it early tonight, so it’s going to just be me.” Lou nodded to the rest of his group, the three calling their goodnights and goodbyes. “So, you said two of you aren’t showing up, what about Lloyd?”
Jay and Cole exchanged glanced, then repeated the motion with Kai and Nya.Usually everyone would be here, but the S.O.G. no doubt made him rethink things in regards to his father. “I’ll keep a look out for him,” Dareth waved a hand and smirked, “I already got the low-down and I’ll get him up to speed. You guys enjoy the tour.”
--
The interior was much like it was before the destruction, though more antique fitted for the occasion, no doubt. Glass cases displayed attire and relics of an older time; worn armor stood tall on wooden racks, faded paintings hung beneath special lights, weapons held vertically reflected the gold trimmings surrounding them, and masks hung from the walls. Lou proudly walked past the displays to a dark lit wall, “As all of you know who the Royal Blacksmiths are, I won’t e going over that. Instead, I want to start from the very beginning.” He flicked on a light, illuminating the wall with a portrait through a lamp. “Before there were Blacksmiths, there were entertainers. This group of four traveled through Ninjago by foot, performing tricks no one had seen before! Their acts drew the attention of the Royal Family, who’s prince was delighted by their performances! So much so, that he invited them to perform at the palace.”
Cole tried not to sigh, feeling deja vu from this spiel. Taking a look around, it seemed like no one else was feeling the same. Whether that was for better or worse...
“Mr. Compère, You’re needed!” Lou jumped with the rest of the group, the masked man wrapped his arm around the Blacksmith, his attire making him look out of place, hailing from a lost time.
“M-Mr. Compère?” He sputtered.
“Yes, the King wants to see what we can do!” He was promptly pulled away, the person stopping to look back at the stunned Ninja. “You best be making your way to the stage if you don’t want to miss the performance.” He held up a finger to the lips of the mask, dispersing away into smoke.
Jay gawked, “Did you just SEE THAT?!”
“Who was that?” Kai asked, Cole pushing everyone aside.
“I dunno, but I don’t like the sound of what he has planned. Come on!”
Grand pillars held up the octagonal roof, the rafters danging dozens of lights of varying color, each held at a height that pointed down to the stage. The squad shoved open the doors, weapons brandished ready to fight when they were once again dumbstruck. On the far side the king sat, his green robes draping over his armored body. The Jade undertones in the trimming angled in a way that drew attention to his pale face, his dark eyes watching intently at the four masked men who stood in a circle with their backs on the inside. Among the four, one rose up an instrument: a lyre, intricately carved in ancient Ninjagian. The notes that escaped it echoed in the large room, the lights flickering as the air reacted to the music. The other three drew comically long blades, lifting them to the air and spinning around in a dance.
“The King and his son watched as their performance spelled out the story of a bard, One of which caught in plans that would prove to be quite fatal,” Lou’s voice spoke from the upper floor. As if on queue, one of the masked figured drove their sword into the other, shocking the royalty as the other two dropped to the floor dramatically. The bard only paused, returning to his playing once again. Another masked person stabbed their sword through, followed by the third, but the playing did not cease. This frightened the assailants, the person turning and gliding towards them, scaring them off stage. “It was such a grand display of endurance, that the King thought it would be foolish to simply send them away without compensation. Thus, he dubbed the ensemble, ‘The Royal Blacksmiths’, entertainers of the Royal Family.”
Cole lead the way around the lower balcony, the lights above blowing out suddenly before flickering back on. The stage had dramatically changed, one of that reflect a circus. The ringleader faced the four who had taken a seat next to the railing. Kai blinked, “Hey is that-”
“Ladies, and Gentlefolk, Tonight’s performance is none other than The Wondrous, Illustrious, Roooyaall Blacksmiths!” He brown cape flew as he lifted an arm to them, the curtains flying open as a large tiger leapt forward. One of the blacksmiths, wearing a black suit and white face paint with red accents, jogged across the ring, leading the large cat around the obstacles and through the tubes. From the other side, another Blacksmith ran out, performing flips through the same obstacle course and landing on a rolling board. A third leapt over the back curtain, landing in the hold of the rolling one who lifted them elegantly. The fourth emerged in a cloud of smoke, holding an arm out to the Ringleader who promptly through his hat and cane.
“Cole, That’s your dad!” Jay giddily squealed, pointing at the center circle.
“What?!”
Lou gently bowed, spinning the cane around and throwing it into the air, catching it and tossing it up again even higher. “No more was the need to act plays and stories, the people wanted to see something extraordinary, and so it was!” Lou shouted, barely turning around in time to see the tiger leap from the back curtains again.
“Dad look out-!” Cole leapt up from his seat, gripping the railing as the tiger fell into the hat and disappeared completely. Lou caught the cane and tossed it up again, winking at his son as he whipped the hat directly at him. It spun back around just out of reach and out of the light. The wheeling blacksmith sped up their circles, tossing the other into the air and catching the cane. The other landed next to Lou, striking a pose as the third slid out from the curtain on the other side. Lou kept his hands raised, marching in place as the cane was tossed up again. He grabbed it just as the last smith found his place behind the three, sparks exploding from the end of the cane like fireworks. The hat finally came back around which he promptly caught, lowering it to the ground and letting a small house cat step out of it.
“But it was so, that the life of excitement wasn’t something everyone could handle. Generations of building up elaborate stunts were daunting to the eyes of a junior, and so he chose a different approach,” Lou spoke as the quartet began humming various pitches. “He thought no one should bear to hear such noises that left ears ringing, Instead he came up with a new plan! One that involved singing!” He held the last word on a high note.
The tiger let out a low grumble, its purring distracting everyone to look at the side wall. “Oh nuts,” Dareth, the ringleader, smiled sheepishly, gently scratching the large cat under the chin.
Lou cleared his throat, “And so here we are now, carrying out the tradition to entertain no matter the form, display, or song. I hope you all enjoyed the performances, you especially, Cole.” He smiled up at his son.
Jay barged into the conversation, “That. Was. Awesome!”
“How did you pull it all off??” Nya asked, beaming.
“I would have never guessed that it was that deep,” Kai mirrored their excitement, “who knew?”
Cole leapt down from the balcony and approached his father, “You did all of this, just for me?”
“Of course, Cole, It’s family history!.. and I wanted to let you know that, not everyone in our historical line wanted to do what their fore-fathers did. I’m proud of you, that you’re a ninja, It gives me a lot to write and sing about!” He gripped Cole’s shoulder and laughed, pulling him into a half hug.
The other ninja had leapt down, asking the others as the group of performers congregated in the pit. It was a shame that Zane, Pixal, and Lloyd missed it, but Cole was sure that Kai had recorded at least part of it on his phone for his social media followers. The earth ninja eyed around at the general happiness, content with it, and leaned against his dad. “Happy Day of the Departed, dad.”
He squeezed him back, chuckling, “Happy Day of the departed.”

they are standing in the garden by @ardenskyedarcy221b
Peter haunts Tony in a post Infinity War world, beautifully sad and hopeful, beautifully written.
The Hand of Fate by @blondsak
The Signs AU the fandom didn’t know it needed. It’s lovely, heart wrenching, and horrifying, and contains protective dad Tony Stark. seriously what more do you need in a fic? go read, go read it right now.
And my special mention has to go to @seek-rest for Where You Invest Your Love (You Invest Your Life). Ben Parker is really more the focus here, which is why it goes in the special mentions. We see so little of him in this fandom, and this fic IS EVERYTHING. Really just a look at Ben’s life, at all the important moments, leading up to the afterlife, where he watches and muses about Tony Stark mentoring his boy. A MUST READ.
I will shamelessly self-promo my fic where Tony is literally Santa Claus cause why not?

We wanted to end this list by saying that it’s literally impossible to list all the overlooked fics that have been posted this year. This fandom has been blessed with so much talent, we’d be here all day listing every single one, so instead, we’re asking you to help. If you loved an irondad fic this year (that isn’t listed above), and you’re already going to reblog this anyway, please reblog with a link to your favorite fic of the year and share it with us. We’d love that!
happy holidays, everyone! we hope you have a great New Year!!

Hi Sarah! I totally agree and I think it's really admirable to see Alessia Cara's personal growth through the progression of her albums. In The Meantime strives the perfect balance between the emotional depth & complesity and a good storytelling 💖
Listening to an artist's albums from old to new is a very interesting experience. It feels like experiencing their life journey in chronological order. I definitely had this experience when I listened to Taylor Swift's music catalogue in chronological order!
And yes!!! A Maisie Peters x Olivia Rodrigo music parallel sounds like a wonderful idea :D My favourite Olivia music video scene is the driving scene in deja vu MV & my fave costume is probably the red top + hat (seen in the classroom scene) in brutal MV.
My favourite Maisie Peters music video scene is also from Psycho (it's such a fun mv to watch) :D I really enjoyed the dancing scene in the 2nd half. My fave Maisie costume would probably be the prom dress from John Hughes Movie MV.
Speaking of Maisie and Olivia, which other songs from their respective debut albums do you hope they would release as music video singles?
P.S. I'm pleasantly surprised that Red (Taylor's Version) is coming earlier than expected!! Based on the song titles, I'm also looking forward to Forever Winter (I love winter and I think it will be the Red sibling of Back To Deccember).
And my most anticipated collab is also the Phoebe Bridgers collab (another artist that I've discovered quite recently and enjoyed) :D
100% agree on what you said abt In The Meantime! and omg yes! you can always tell how much an artist has grown and how much better they got at their craft over time! ☺️
also great choices! ☺️ Ohh Maisie should definitely make a music video to I'm Trying (Not Friends) - ok I'm biased bc I'm obsessed with that song but I feel like a) it would do well on radio and b) it would be such a fun mv! as for Olivia, my number one choice has always been brutal but now that it's already gotten a music video... hm I think traitor could make for a pretty epic music video! what would your choices be? 😊
I can definitely see the Back to December connection! when I first read the title it gave me evermore the song vibes as well! I've heard so much positive stuff about Phoebe but I've only really gotten into two songs of her thus far :/ What are your favorite Phoebe songs? maybe it's time to revisit her music 🤗 oh and which "stack" of vault songs from Taylor's previous albums are you most excited for (besides the RED ones)? ☺️ hope u have a nice day!!

ST: TNG S5 Watchthrough Episodes 18-21
Cause and Effect: Who’s ready for the ST equivalent of Groundhog Day? Yep, we have a time loop episode. This is actually my mom’s favorite episode so I’ve been waiting for this one XD.So the episode opens with the Enterprise blown up… and after the titles we have a poker game as though nothing happened. But Crusher begins to have deja vu and as the loops continue, so do the others. So... If you’ve seen time loop stories you more or less know how this goes. Though unlike most of the oens I’ve seen where just one person becomes aware of it, while Crusheris the first the others also begin to take notice. The don’t remember everything, but they start picking up on it and figuring out that something’s up. Again, I appreciate the cast being written as competent and not stupid cause it’s very easy to do with this kind of plot. Not sure I at all understand Data’s explanation on how he figured out how to end the loop... but hey, it ended. So it was good. Nothing mind-blowing but very much enjoyable. Any time that Crusher gets prominent screentime I’m happy, but again I just appreciate the cast being intelligent. Also the Kelsey Grammer cameo at the end, Hell yes~! 3.5/5.
The First Duty: Okay Wesley, second guest star appearance. Let’s see how it goes. Which, haha... it’s not a happy episode for him. There’s been an accident at the Academy and while thankfully Wesley is alright aside from an injured arm, one of his classmates has died. Well… that’s sad. That n and of itself could fuel a story all its own. But as a hearing is held, it becomes clear that something more is going on. As it turns out, Wesley’s teammate died because the entire squadron not only performed an illegal flight procedure… but lied about it. First that it was an accident, then that the accident and his own demise was his own fault. Why? To save their own skins. Now to be fair it’s clear that they’re scared, but it doesn’t change the fact that they’re essentially lying/disgracing a dead person to save themselves. Even the kid’s own father gets convinced of this, which only adds to Wesley’s guilt. I actually felt really bad for Wesley and I kinda feel like Picard, upon confronting him, was… pretty harsh. Wesley’s actions were wrong, but again he was clearly scared and felt guilty for it. Thankfully he does ultimately do the right thing, accepting the consequences. Hopefully, Wesley can push through it and grow from it if he shows up again. My mom doesn’t like this episode I guess because of how it portrayed Wesley, but honestly? I like it for that exact reason. Welsey isn’t portrayed necessarily as bad, he’s reacting like… well… a scared nineteen-year-old. He made a major mistake, and he paid the price for it, though it certainly wasn’t the worst punishment that he could have received. While Picard was rather harsh when confronting him, it was the push that Wesley needed to do the right thing. I think that this was the kind of episode that Wesley needed, where he commits a huge screw-up and unlike when he was a regular, pays the consequences for it… it’s just a shame that they did it after he stopped being a regular. I can see why some may dislike this one because of Wesley’s portrayal, but I think it was good and was long overdue for the character without villainizing him. He’s intelligent and capable of greatness, but he’s got a lot to learn, especially after this. Let’s hope that he does. 3.5/5.
Cost of Living: It’s another Lwaxana episode folks… yay. Okay despite my complaints about her episodes, the last one’s issues I had was more due to the subject matter than the character. If anything, she was the best part of it. So maybe this time things will be better. So this time, Worf is having parenting problems with Troi trying to help him and Alexander make it work. Lwaxana is on the Enterprise as she’s getting married, to Troi’s exasperation and Picard’s utter relief, and ends up butting in. Oh and the ship malfunctions because it’s Star Trek. So… it was okay I guess? The Holodeck scene was just utterly bizzare and I’m still trying to wrap my brain around WTF just happened. To be honest, Troi is the best part of this episode. She’s trying to reasonable help Worf with his parenting issues, Alexander with his lack of discepline/responsibility, her mother marrying a guy she never met and bending agains the Betazoid traditions that she usually follows, and she’s clearly just fed up with everyone especially her mother. It makes her such a joy to watch, haha! Lwaxana was… alrigh. On the one hand, it ws not at all her place to butt into the whole Alexander situation especially since Troi was handling it. On the other hand, the episode does go more into how lonely Lwaxana is and make her manhunting/desire tog et married more sympathetic. Te previous episodes always played it mainly as a joke/a condition of her species at her age, but it never allowed her to actually delve into why she’s so desperate. How she’s fears rowing older and being all alone without someone to love her… and gosh I’ve absoluteley seen this before and it’s just sad. Consideirng that this came out the same year that Gene Roddenberry, majel Barret’s husband and of course as we know the franchise creator, has passed… I can only imagine how rough this had to be for the poor woman. But if she wad channeling that into her performance, she did a fantastic job. Also Lwaxana’s fiance? He was played by freakin’ Tony Jay. The man is a freakin’ legend the voice acting world (probably best known as Frollo in Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, by far his darkest performance yet probably his best) and it’s the first time I’ve seen him in a live aciton role. He plays a snobish asshole and obviousy the marriage falls through in the end, but he made the episode worth it! So yeah, I’m still not a big Lwaxana fan but they are trying to add more to her and overall it was fine. It’s not great, for example the Enterprise’s plot felt tacked on to fill in the runtime, the pacing was rouh, and the storylines were not at all balanced out well. But it was overall fine, though i think Half a Life did her better. Troi, some legit Lwaxana development, and getting an appearance by Tony Jay made it worth it XD 2/5.
The Perfect Mate: While preparing for a peace treaty, the Enterprise picks up two Ferengi, one of which messes with the cargo, and releases a young woman named Kamala, a mutant amongst her kind whose abilities let her become the perfect mate for any man, from suspended animation. She was meant to stay that way until the ceremony... and was meant to be a ‘gift’ to one of the sides. Yeah... that’s not at all messed up. Due to the Prime Directive, the crew can’t interfere... and we find out that there was a more complicated reason as to why Kamala was as she was. This is pretty much the TNG version of Elaan of Troyius from TOS. Kamala is completely different from Elaan, more composed and well-mannered while Elaan was more aggressive and upfront. Looking back I do feel I was too harsh in calling Elaan a brat considering the conditions she was under, but the episode certainly didn’t give he much sympathy from anyone (aside from Kirk) while they do better calling out the arrangement here. Then again it’s been months since I watched the episode so I may be remembering wrong. But it does ultimately end with Kamala entering an unhappy marriage, but she bonds with Picard and ends up acting as his perfect mate, so... hope that goes well. The whole empath/metamorph thing felt necessary as well, you didn’t need a reason to make men attracted to her for this episode to work. Which yes it only works on men, remember this is the 90’s folks. I’m kind of baffled as to why Troi wasn’t in this one considering we have another empath, that could have added a more interesting layer and justified that part. But I shall repeat what I said in Elaan when they put Kirk under that tear-induced love spell: you don’t need those elements to keep a plot spicy. The Ferengi we're also utterly pointless. While I feel that the subject is better done than in TOS and it felt more evenly paced... I’m still not a fan of it. It has more of the nuanced debate on the arranged marriage plot that I was annoyed that Elaan didn’t have... but I’m still pretty meh about it overall. it’s alright, but just that: alright. 2.5/5.
Okay folks, we’re five episodes away from finishing S5. So far... it’s only been alright. There’s been a couple of strong episodes, but overall it’s remained firmly in the average range. Maybe S4 hyped me up too much, IDK. I’m still having fun, but maybe I’m just starting to get fatigued from TNG. But we don’t have much more to go, and there’s still plenty of time for S6 to change my mind, so we’ll see how things go from here.
