Bnha x dp Headcanons:
Danny absolutely loves to spend time with Tokoyami because he just gets his dead jokes and dark humour (and reminds him of Sam who he misses)
When he takes the entrance exam he's overwhelmed with the need to protect everyone even though he's 80% sure UA wouldn't actually put them in any real danger. His obsession doesn't understand that though.
Midoriya has a field day learning about his 'quirk' and when he's finally revealed to be half dead he has a million questions about ghosts and the zone, Danny really enjoys talking about it because his parents don't listen and he is a scientist too damn it.
He bonds with Todoroki almost immediately because he knows what it's like to hate his power (ghostly wail) and he knows what it's like to not want to end up like someone. He ends up also bonding over some trauma about their home life later on.
He helps Uraraka with the nausea she gets because he's been there.
Eri reminds him of Dani and it caused him to have a breakdown when he was alone, he begged Clockwork to let him go home to see her.
During the first part of the sports festival he could have just created a portal or telported to the finish but he wanted to watch everyone so he flew over them and finished 4th.
Bakugou absolutely hates Danny because there's just something off about him that only HE is seeing apparently, he can feel him holding back in every fight and Bakugou can't help but get pissed off at that. When Danny's halfa status is revealed he loses most animosity he has towards him. (Because ofc Danny was holding back he's op as fuck)
Aizawa hates that his quirk doesn't get rid of any of Danny's and he hates how Danny is the type of hero to sacrifice himself to save the people he's saving (he has his hands full with Midoriya) when it comes up Danny had actually died he feels his blood run cold and Oboro flashes in his head.
When Danny started joking and doing quips in fights he gets mixed reactions but because he does them everyone enjoys watching. (Bakugou took that as a sign he wasn't trying hard enough)
Danny has chronic pain in his arm that touched the portal and has a glowing green lichtenberg figure that runs up to his shoulder. Sometimes he can still feel the electricity and it can send him into a panic attack.
^Kaminari makes an effort to never touch Danny after he found out about that, which makes Danny feel horrible because he knows how touchy the blonde is.
He sometimes just goes to Koda and sits with him in silence because his senses are getting overwhelmed and he has animals he can pet.
When Sato or Bakugou cooked for him the first time he made an off hand remark about how he's glad it didn't come to life and it made everyone freeze.
Mirio is in awe of how Danny can keep his senses and clothes when he's intangible and it made Danny realise how lucky he was. When he made Mirio intangible by touching him it made his day and then multiple people asked him if they can try it.
^He also gets asked if he can make them fly and invisible so they can experience it too.
Danny can make Hagakure visible because double invisibility evens out (idk just think it'll be fun), they tired it because Midoriya was curious of what would happen and it made Hagakure cry.

for the five ask game: how about an au where Izuku has a possession quirk? like Danny Phantom ghost style possession
I have consulted my DP expert friends on this so hopefully I get the idea right
1- Izuku's brand of possession means merging his body with the target's, so on the outside its them, and the inside is him- though the eyes go green. When this manifests, he possesses Katsuki. Katsuki is not a fan of this lack of control and makes it known he considers this villainous.
2- Izuku gets grabbed by sludgy and almost choked out, but activates his quirk and takes over sludgy instead. (This makes his body vanish.) Izuku panics and tries to figure out what to do, but then All Might shows up and he lets go of the possession as he's hit. He's a bit shaken, but fine and All Might checks him over after bottling sludgy. He picks up Izuku's notebook and skims through it.
"you want to be a hero?"
"i- yes- more than anything- can I with a quirk like mine, through?"
All Might signs the notebook as Izuku explains what his quirk can do, and says that he could be- a quirk doesn't define you, what you do with it does.
3- Izuku is happier than he's ever been, and trains to get into UA. Inko lets him practice his quirk on her if he cleans up while in her body, so she doesn't have to be there to do the chores, and it's good for practicing fine motor skills and looking at the world when shorter. Izuku also trains a bit himself, and is stronger by February, though nowhere near the American All Star plan.
4- meanwhile, Mirio turned down OfA. So did the rest of the big three. None of the first or second or third years seem right, and Toshi is invited to watch the entrance exam. Maybe a freshman next year will be it, and he can teach the next year if there is. He sees a familiar face in the test, as Izuku struggles to jump between people (can he take their points?? Will he even get any of his own??). He does a better job possessing people to pull them out of danger- and then Zero Pointer comes out. People flee. There's a girl, stuck. Izuku possesses Iida as he passes and runs to get to her. Then he lets go so the two can dig her out faster, apologizing as they do, them pushing them down out of the way and jumping back in Iida's body as they narrowly avoid the robot stepping on them. Toshinori thinks it's a grand rescue, and approves of the points he gets- and the fact that both the other children approached UA to make sure he would. But he'll be a hero on his own, he clearly doesn't need OfA. Maybe no one does now, with AfO dead.
5- Izuku has an extremely normal first month of school. Training, lessons, getting ready for the SF, which is so exciting, because All Might is apparently going to be there to give awards! Izuku works hard to get through the obstacle course, and is third place. His team works well together, the cavalry battle. But then Ojiro drops out, and warns him about Shinsou's similar quirk (Izuku wants to test so badly how they interact, but he reminds himself to try to beat him first) and then they're up, the first match in the last round. Midnight counts them off, three- two- one-
A warp gate opens in the middle of the field.
"Is that your quirk?" Shinsou asks.
Izuku shakes his head as two figures step through- and more gates open around the stadium.
"I got tired of waiting, Kurogiri." Shigaraki complains. "If All Might is supposed to give out awards, he's probably here now, right? Well if you aren't, I'd get here soon, Symbol of Peace. League of Villains, Nomu, attack!"
Izuku moves first, possessing Shigaraki as the Nomu advances on Midnight and Cementoss. "Nomu, stop!" He orders, and is surprised when it works.
"Oh, so that's your quirk." Shinsou says with new appreciation. "Hey, tell it to attack... Kurogiri, was it?"
"Can you hold him while I jump in others to stop them?" Izuku asks, and Shinsou nods.
In the stands, heroes and villains and nomu are already fighting. But the strongest nomu, built for All Might, sits quietly in the middle of the arena, next to it's brainwashed master and the broken warper, and that will make a difference for how the fight turns out.

✩ WEEKLY FIC ROUND-UP ✩
All the fics I’ve read and really enjoyed in the past week-ish. Reminder: This list features any and all ratings and themes.
BNHA
Razzmatazz by xylophones
Izuku has plans for everything.
He plans out what to say to the cashier when ordering coffee, he plans out his homework before even opening his textbook. He has a whole ten-year plan for how he’s going to get into UA’s hero course and get his hero license fully quirkless. He plans for every wild, unlikely scenario he can think of because his anxiety gets so bad if he doesn’t go through every possible outcome, every way his life could landslide into disaster–– but Izuku never planned for this.
For once, he doesn’t have a plan and he doesn’t have time to think of one. All he can see is Yagi-san’s lined, kind face looking resigned as he stares down the villain in his shop. Yagi-san, who is the closest thing to a father figure Izuku has ever had.
Izuku doesn’t think. He just moves.
(Or: Izuku saves the number one hero, gets a hero license way earlier than anyone wanted, realizes that maybe hero society isn’t as great as he thought it was, and everything just kind of falls apart from there.)

Speed Dial by apotheosis_avaritia
"Please don't tell me you have the fucking King of Ghosts on speed dial."
close enough to be whole again by hailsatanacab
“If you ever find yourself in danger, go to Bruce Wayne. He will help you.” His mother had loved him, in her own way. If she hadn’t, she wouldn’t have helped him escape. If she hadn’t, she would have dragged him back to the League of Assassins, to Grandfather. If she hadn’t, he’d be dead. She loved him, but she loved the League more. Jack and Maddie Fenton loved him too, they did, but they loved their work more. They loved their work more. -- After his parents react poorly to his reveal, Danny escapes to the only person he thinks can help him - Bruce Wayne. He doesn't know what to expect when he gets there, but it has to be better than where he is, surely? He certainly doesn't expect to be reunited with his long lost twin brother Damian. It's funny how things work out that way. Danny is 16 years old, not Phantom Planet compliant

Warm My Heart in the Sun by SilverSkiesAtMidnight
The valet opens the door as he places a ticket under the windshield, a hot breeze lazily snaking its way into the backseat. Then, he climbs out and shuts the door behind him, and the air falls as still as a crumpled quilt. He doesn’t so much as glance at the backseat window as he walks away, leaving Tim alone to wait. And that’s… that’s probably fine! His parents did say that going to a gala with them was something for big kids to do, and he already knows big kids are supposed to be able to be able to be apart from their parents without throwing a fit, so maybe this is why. Maybe waiting like this is part of every grown-up event, and that’s why he needed to be a big boy before he could come with them. So yes. He can be a big boy. He can wait, alone. It’s even kind of exciting! He’s not sure he’s ever been completely alone, without even a nanny nearby. He just… well, he wishes they could have left the AC on while he waits.

There’s a few rings, then the phone picks up. “Wayne Residence.” That’s funny, Tim thinks, Mrs. Mac doesn’t sound like herself. -- On a hot July evening while home alone, eight-year-old Tim gets a fever. He means to ask Mrs. Mac for help — but ends up accidentally calling Alfred Pennyworth. Somehow, even in sickness, he wins all the hearts of the Wayne family in one fell swoop. Stranger things
Harrington’s Upside Down Training by PrettyRacing
Welcome to Harrington's Upside Down Training!
Look, Eddie has had a crush on Steve Harrington for, like, four years.  Steve Harrington is the only reason Eddie passed gym last year, because the grade was for participation and Eddie showed up every day that semester to watch Steve Harrington get all sweaty and all that glorious hair flop around.  Eddie is but a man.  Who is he to pass up another chance to watch Steve get all sweaty, perhaps shirtless this time?  And maybe proving to his freshman pupils that Steve Harrington is truly an asshole would be the cherry on top.
Eddie is just here to ogle Steve Harrington and hopefully expose him as an asshole to his impressionable Hellfire freshmen. Things do not go according to plan.
Holding out for a Hero by ReginaNocis
“He was acting like an entitled jerk,” Will said quietly, looking at the ground. “Like he didn’t do anything wrong. Like there’s no reason you wouldn’t want to talk to him.” “Who was?” Steve pressed gently, frowning. He couldn’t really think of anyone he wouldn’t speak to. Not anyone who might be calling here. Will’s answer was too quiet to be heard. “... Who?” “Your father,” he repeated a little louder, starting to look miserable. “I’m sorry, I know I shouldn’t have hung up the phone like that, but… he really hurt you, Steve! He shouldn’t get whatever he wants just because he thinks he’s some big important person. You’re important, not him. I know I should have given you the phone, but I don’t want him to be able to hurt you anymore!” “Oh…” ~ AKA: 5 times the party defended Steve from his parents, and 1 time Steve defended himself.
Star Wars three rules (back straight, head forward) by queen_rowenas
Senator Almen continues on as though nothing is wrong. “Mand’alor, may I introduce you to Senator Organa’s brother, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker.” Leia can feel all of her hard work crumbling, whatever trust she had formed with the Mandalorians shattering before her as the Mand’alor slowly stands to his feet. Great, she thinks numbly, Another galactic war on my hands. (Leia Organa has never been one to back down from a challenge. Although advising the new Mand’alor in his introduction to the Senate and also trying to keep her Jedi brother from causing an intergalactic incident could prove to be a bigger challenge than expected.)

Day 1: adverse effects / wiping the others tears away
Obi-Wan, after a long moment, finally managed to strangle his vocal cords and force them back under his control. “Cody,” he said again. “Cody, I’m not - I’m fine. It’s a side effect. I really am -“ he took a breath, and sobbed on the exhale, emotions tangling up and threatening to choke him once again. “I know this does seem like I’m lying, but I really am fine.”
Cody’s eyebrows twitched.
“Sir, avoiding your emotions isn’t healthy.”
 Obi-Wan just barely resisted the urge to slam his head against the wall.

Danny was left at an orphanage when he was 5 he did not develop a quirk on time and was abandoned.
Danny turned 7 his quirk finally came in, he was running away from some bullies, he turned a corner and came to a dead end he wanted to disappear so they could not hurt him anymore. When they turn the corner they started to call out to him, but they could not see him even though he was right in front of them, and after a couple of minutes, they left him. He then look down at his hands he could not see them. He can turn invisible he does not tell anyone.
When Danny was 8 some of the kids in the foster home lock him in the shed when people were coming to adopt. It was one of the hots days of the year. For some reason, he did not overheat ice had formed on his arms. Later one of the adults that were working there came and got him, he got in trouble for hiding when they had people over, and that night he got no dinner. He learned he can make ice he does not tell anyone.
10 it was the end of school and on the last day the school, the school had brought all the kids to the park to play and wait to be picked up, some other kids from school had come up to him and asking if he wanted to play with them, and like an idiot, he agreed. They played a couple of games before they suggest hide and seek all of the kids ran off to hide Danny found a hole in a tree to climb in, it started to get dark and he had not been found. Danny climbed out of the tree and walk back to the park he looked around but no one was there he had been left behind. He slowly made his way back to the school and from there he can figure out where to go. As he made his way back he heard an echoey voice telling him to run and hide, and that's when a person called out to him he turned around and saw a person with a hood they were walking up to him. He heard the echoing voice again telling him to run and that the person was bad, Danny took off running and he can hear the person chasing him, he was running out of energy that's when he heard the same voice he saw an older girl waving at him to follow her, as he followed the leads him thought out the ally's until she pointed to a door that had been border up there was a little hole that he can fit into. After going into the hole he heard the person that was chasing him run past, he look at the girl to thank her when he notice that she is transparent and had bruises around her neck. That day he learned he can see the ghost he does not tell anyone.
When he is 12 some kids stuffed him in a chest and lock it they left him there. Danny started to panic because it had got harder to breathe he pushed on the top of his chest trying one last time to get out When he went through it. It was nighttime when he freed himself he ran back to the house knowing that he was going to get in trouble. He can faze through things he does not tell anyone.
Danny is 14, school just let out he was wandering around, ever since he was 10 he had been working with the ghost as a broker he will sell information to the police and heroes. Over the 4 years, he had gotten the money he would then hide it in the park in the tree hole, he had been working so he would not need to stay in the foster home he plane to go to UA, and he had the ghost help him create a new Identity that he can use he did not put down any of his quirks, instead he put down that he had an intelligence quirk. He is going to use the inventions that he has made to be a hero. A lot of his inventions come from dreams, he has even based his hero suit on one of his dreams. The suit in his dream was red he made his black and white. He decided to become a hero without using his powers.
He won't tell anyone want he can do he does not want to be seen as a monster.

~He's gonna catch 'em all, 'cause he's Dark Phantom, Gonna catch 'em all, 'cause he's Dark Phantom, Gonna catch 'em all, 'cause he's Dark Phantom!~
But, no, seriously, to Izuku, ghosts were just something his parents studied and his best friend Shouto had the ability to see. He never thought much of it, at least until he became one. Now he has to figure out his powers all while hiding this from his parents, trying to ask his best friend out, deal with another half ghost who either wants him dead or just wants him and the everyday perils of high school. But under all this are nightmares that plague Shouto. Nightmares of Izuku being killed and a ghost or being in blue flames. With his ghosts problems, Shouto's at home life and nightmares and everything that life is throwing at him, Izuku's hoping this second chance at life will be worth it in the end.

Not Him -short story
The four days that Danny disappearance into the woods were the most stressful of Dashes life. He couldn’t help but think that they would find his body and then the police would show up at his door, to arrest him for pushing someone to suicide.
 But now as he hid in the janitor’s closet as he listened to the gruesome sounds of what was supposed to be Danny Fenton, tear into the corpse of what was previously his classmate. He thought to himself, that he sincerely hoped that he offed himself before what ever that thing was got to him.

Could you maybe do something with ghost king Danny attending ua, and with the dorm system they find out? I absolutely adore reveals, and I just think it would be hilarious to see how his classmates could find out, and their reactions! :)
It was supposed to be a normal night.
Everything in the day had gone perfectly. He aced his math test in Ectoplasm's class. Managed to stay awake in Cementoss' class. Absolutely kicked ass with Kirishima and Jirou during foundational heroics, and remembered to call his parents and tell them how school was doing. With enough time to spare for homework.
But just as he was getting settled in, there was a pull at his core.
His transformation came without his permission, and he realized with horror that he was in the outfit that he wore to Council meetings. Fuck-what was happening? Why was his whole body being covered with light? What the fuck was going on?
He tried to resist the pull, but all it did was make his chest ache like a motherfucker. He kept trying though, until he cried out in pain. The bright light enveloped him and in the blink of an eye he was...
In the common room?
He was floating above a sigil that had been painted on a large blanket of canvas, with candles surrounding him. Below him were his very confused classmates, and in the kitchen with a mug halfway to his face was a very wide-eyed homeroom teacher.
"Yo, what the fuck is going on?" Kaminari asked, breaking the tense silence.
"Uh...I think you guys just summoned me on accident?" He asked, stepping down to the ground. He was hyperaware of the crown of ice floating above his head, and the Cape of Constellations brushing his calves.
"We-I was trying to summon the King of Ghosts," Tokoyami stuttered out. "I didn't think it would actually-Danny, are you...The King of Ghosts?"
All of his classmate's eyes were on him. Even Bakugou had stopped whatever he was doing to look at him. In the kitchen, Aizawa's expression was expertly blank, which probably meant he was absolutely furious.
"Uh...I can explain?"
"Please do," Aizawa said as he grabbed his mug and walked to the common room. He stood behind a bewildered Tokoyami. "Please, tell me how my student is apparently the King of Ghosts."
"Well-er, you see," Danny rubbed the back of his neck nervously as he looked from one surprised face to the next. "Almost a year ago there was this big bad guy named Pariah Dark who was let out of his Sarcophagus of Forever Sleep and I helped beat him? And because I was the one that defeated him, by ghost law, I'm the one who has to run the Ghost Zone now."
"I think you misunderstand me," Aizawa says. His voice his horrifyingly calm considering the situation. "Let's rewind to the part where you're apparently a ghost."
"Oh, well, you guys all know about my parents, right? They're a little crazy when it comes to ghosts, and um-well, to make a long story short I got into a lab accident and I sort of...Died? But I'm still alive? It's-I don't really know how the science works, if I'm being honest. But. Yeah. They call me a halfa-half ghost, half human. Half alive, half...dead."
The class was stunned into silence. Danny was so nervous, he knows for a fact that the temperature dropping was his doing and not the AC being fucky again. He really hadn't wanted anybody to find out, let alone like this. And now they were going to think he was a freak. It was just like Spectra said. He's just a creepy little boy with creepy little powers and-"
"What was your quirk before you died?" Tsu asked. Because of course she was going to. She was one of the most observant kids in the class, and the was the one blunt enough to ask what everybody was now thinking. He could feel his face heat up with shame as he looked down, avoiding everybody's gazes.
"I was quirkless before my accident," he tells them. His voice his quiet, but the room is quieter. When he speaks, nobody has a problem being able to hear him.
He hates it. He hates this. He hates being the center of attention. He feels like an exposed nerve that they're all twanging, playing him until he finally snaps. He feels like there's ants under his skin and he can't help but shrink in on himself.
"Do your parents know?" Aizawa asks him. He knows about his parent's reputation as ghost hunters. For their son to be one, it certainly doesn't paint a pretty picture. But thankfully this is one question he doesn't have to worry about.
"Yeah, they do. I told them right before the entrance exam. They-they're helping me out. They've been really supportive. Honestly, I should have told them sooner."
"So do you have any other cool ghost friends?" Uraraka asks. It's enough to break the tension, and Aizawa is looking a little concerned, but not enough to keep pressing. His classmates however, bombard him with questions.
"Are you a ghost hunter too?"
"Is that why you have so many powers?"
"Do ghosts quirks transfer over to the afterlife or do they get a new power depending on how they died?"
"How do the constellations in your cape move like that?"
It's a lot of questions all at once, and Iida, thank time, forces everybody to raise their hands like their in class. But none of them...Care. They probably care that he died in the first place, but they don't care that he's a real ghost-or the Ghost King-and none of them care that he was quirkless. It's so much more than he could have ever asked for.
He looks over at Aizawa, who's back to watching from his spot in the kitchen. He's doesn't bother trying to hide his mischievous grin in his scarf like he usually does as revels in the chaos in front of him. Danny looks to Tokoyami, because it was he apparently who brought Danny downstairs. And, with a completely straight face, says some very off the wall, on brand-Tokoyami shit he's ever heard.
"What a mad banquet of darkness."

BNHA X DP Crossover HCs
After the long wait and finals, here are my ideas for all the quirks/occupations and other concepts I devised for the DP characters in the BNHA universe. This was just for fun and for inspiration towards others interested in this crossover au in general.
Tagging the people that were looking forward to this post based on the replies: @qoinq-qhost, @floralflowerpower, @tgfangirl4eva @goodfish-bowl, @whitehairglowinggreeneyedcrush and more.
Anyways, happy reading, folks!
Mr. Lancer
Hero name: Mr. Scholastic
Quirk: Bookworm
Involves his iconic usage of literature titles & quotes for swears to become abilities corresponding to the novel’s contents/themes. Course, he is limited to only books he has read and can quote accurately. Additionally, his voice gets very raspy past two or three quotes as well.
Occupation: Homeroom Teacher for Class 1- A; He’s very dedicated to his new students and teaching the fundamentals of being a pro hero and more! Course, I don’t think his chamomile tea with a wedge of lemon is enough to help him relax from his students (*cough* Danny, Tucker and Poindexter) from their antics at times.
Danny
Hero name: Phantom
Quirk: Ghost core (Ok, @coffeecakecafe had the best name for this one gotta give credit here)
Able to do anything a ghost is perceived to do. Go through walls, disappear and fly. This is a one of a kind quirk as it was obtained from Danny’s old quirk being altered by a machine his parents made that would repurpose/alter an individual’s quirk based on their past family members' own metahuman genetics.
Danny is doing his best and trying to understand his new quirk without causing too much attention to himself while doing so but it seems like its been doing the opposite as of late. Thankfully, he won’t be doing it alone with all his classmates around to help him!
Sam
Hero Name: Black Dahlia
Quirk: Overgrown
Able to create any plant that she knows the biological makeup and content of in almost any environment. However, it is important for her to drink lots of nutrient rich water and take in enough sun if she plans to create larger versions of these plants.
Tucker
Hero name: Tech Master
Quirk: Tech Core
Located on his chest/heart area is a special energy core capable of powering electronics at a rate faster than anything made-man could ever hope to achieve. As a kid, Tucker would tinker away in his family’s garage on a suit that would harness his power to the fullest extent and lead a new era of support tech in the hero world.
Valerie
Hero name: Red Huntress
Quirk: Electromagnetism (Someone I’ve been trying to find their post on my blog had posted this idea and I fell in love with it ever since)
She’s like Static Shock but with a dash of magenta/ruby lasers she can create through focusing her electromagnetism through her finger tips. She is an expert with her quirk and has the best handle of her quirk than most of her peers. She is the most frequent visitor in the support equipment workshop next to Tucker, Poindexter and Danny. It’s how she built the hoverboard she has in the show that utilizes her electromagnetic abilities for both offensive and defensive maneuvers. (Also, I enjoy the idea that Bullet is Val’s uncle on her mom’s side and is her biggest supporter alongside her dad, Damien Gray).
Jazz
Quirk: Serenity
Helps calm individuals and give them a sense of safety/security when they’re around her in a 10 feet radius. Though, anyone out of range cannot be affected by her quirk and she needs to be conscious in order to use it.
She planned on becoming a pro hero but felt her powers were best suited for her dream profession as a psychologist. She has used her quirk a lot when Danny was overwhelmed with his studies prior to UA. Course, a phone call and sibling chat over the phone certainly does the job for Danny now when it comes to preparing material for exams. (Course, its up to you guys to decide)
Dash
Hero name: Rager
Quirk: Strength Magnification
Improves his physique and stamina by a large percentage for a set amount of time. Needs to be careful of how much/long he magnifies his body or else his body will become immensely sore.
Kwan
Hero name: Rallier
Quirk: Team Rally (50/50)
Able to duplicate himself 3-4 times while being able to power-up allies’ quirks or stamina with a rally chant to help the team. The more duplicates there are the rally effect multiplies/stacks on the individual but it can lead to dangerous outcomes for their quirk output.
Kwan is the class representative for 1-A, he’s the best at the job and was more than thrilled to be the one leading his class in more ways than one.
Paulina
Hero name: Enchantress
Quirk: Charm
If the opponent is flustered by her taunts or flirting, their vision will become altered and start seeing things that are not there. It works better on men than women and the opponent can snap out of it with enough willpower or if they’re not interested in her.
Star
Hero name: Ms. Meteorite
Quirk: Comet
Similar to Gran Torino’s Jet quirk except faster and she can create an explosive impact on where she lands. Similar to a meteorite landing on earth, she also learns to use this as a long distance move by punching fast enough as she descends to create wind pressure punches.
Poindexter
Hero name: Tex (like in Tex Avery; Danny gave him the idea!)
Quirk: Slapstick
His appearance is black and white just like an old timey cartoon character as well as having the durability and cartoon powers of one. However, his quirk can only work as long as what he does with it is funny in the circumstance it’s used for. Sort of like “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” rules in a sense.
Sidney is part of Class 1-A just saying, I don’t care, this is Poindexter’s time to shine here to be the coolest/funniest person in the class. Also, Tucker’s most loyal friend/tester for new support items.
Wes Weston
Hero name: Vigilance
Quirk: Deduction
He is able to deduct people’s identities to flaws/weak points for him to use against them and  exploit against problems.
Class 1-B Representative and the most annoying/terrifying person that Danny has dealt with in his life. He was able to figure out that Danny’s quirk is not his own or more so that it's not natural and takes every opportunity to state this regardless if anyone is listening or not.
Amber Mclain
Hero Name: Ember
Quirk: Fiery voice (50/50)
Her quirk uses the vibrations in her sining voice to conduct intense heat waves onto opponents or utilize to rumble the structures around here and even put out the flames from her quirk. Its like a combination of Present Mic and Endevours quirk but it leaves her with a strained or inflamed vocal cords with overuse.
Third year student or an upcoming rock star that has certainly gain huge popularity after her song “Remember” was a nationwide hit amongst the younger generation. She’s striving to be the top hero while making her next hit to become the 1# song on the listings.
Dani
Hero name: Phantwo (lol jk; unsure what her name would be)
Quirk: Poltergeist
Similar to Danny’s quirk “Ghost”, except she has the additional ability to melt herself to a slimy puddle and use her ectoplasmic slime to trap or surprise opponents.
Clockwork
Hero Name: Clockwork
Quirk: Time Keeper
Clockwork’s quirk allows him to stop time for 5 to 15 minutes and be able to rewind it in the same amount of time. It can be one to multiple objects as long as he touches them in order to interact with them.
Principle of UA in this au. He’s quite a reserved man but still manages to visit and congregate with students throughout the school during lunch period.
Flynn Fenton/Flynn Walker
Hero Name: The Green Knight
Quirk: Mineralization
His quirk allows him to manipulate the minerals and inorganic materials in the atmosphere to create into crystalized constructs that are almost stronger than diamond. Luckily, the crystals have no value so he doesn’t have to worry about that aspect of his quirk. He does have to worry about his skin becoming dried out as a result of his quirk usage.
Flynn is a third year student that loves to check up on his cousin, Danny, any chance he gets bc of the amount of work he does with his internships.
James Walker (or James W. Hausermann)
Hero name: Warden Wraith
Quirk: Plasma Apparatus
His quirk ionizes the electrolytes in the blood system into plasma. His entire body is composed of plasma giving him his skeletal appearance. He can create plasma chains, teleport from point A to B and more as long as he focuses and has enough energy at use. Course, he can have minor to severe dehydration and imbalance in his electrolyte levels from overuse.
Occupation: CEO of an infrastructure security company/Provisional License Examiner just like Gang Orca.The ghost prison guards become his backup/helpers for the exam phases. (They’re just trained stuntmen with combat or military experience for the occasion).
Also, I like to think Walker has kids in this au who are in the Class 1-A group; they’re not hard to spot they take after their father with their skeletal complexion.
Skulker
Villain name: Quirk Hunter
Quirk: Tracker
The moment Skulker makes eye contact with his target he will be able to hunt them down and find them anywhere no matter how good they are at covering their tracks. He can lock on to only one target, but he will be able to know their heart beat, quirk, be able to place a tracking/scent line that only he can see and will lead him to his target’s location. It lasts for over a day or a half.
Occupation: Skulker is known for capturing, info-detailing or “retiring” newcomer pros or specific quirk users for his clients that pay him handsomely for their targets, dead or alive. Thanks to Vlad, Danny was strictly intended to be captured alive by Skulker but sometimes he gets too thrilled by the hunt to not have a memento. Trust me, it's more of a dangerous
Nicolai Technus
Villain Name: Technus
Quirk: Technopathy
A genius in his own right, even if he’s a little crazy, with the best ability possible for a man of science and innovation. As long as he knows the makeup and attributes of the machine, Technus is able to completely repurpose or change a machine’s qualities for offensive and defensive qualities. Whenever that be for a mech suit or hacking a high tech system for entry, he’s able to do it as long as he knows what it is and how it functions. An example is repurposing a slot machine into a submachine gun that shoots coins at the target.
Vlad Masters
Name: Vlad Plasmius
Quirk: Vampire
Can do anything a vampire can supposedly do. However, he was able to manifest an additional aspect of this quirk which is the ability to copy any quirk users ability. Based on the type of blood he ingests decides the amount of time he can use the copied quirk for.
Occupation: CEO of his own hero firm, he is extremely selective with the interns he has that there is a major waitlist to be even consider for Masters Inc. Course, imagine the surprise Danny must of felt when he received an offer from Vlad right off the bat after the Sports festival.
Bruce Guiles (Bullet)
Hero Name: Bullet
Quirk: Sphyraena or Chimera Fish
Able to do anything a barracuda can do or the quirk is a 50/50 mutant quirk in which he has both the traits of a barracuda, Chimaeras and a touch of piranha from his parents being of one of these fish species hence Chimera. Bullet can do anything those fish can do overall but he can’t go too long without hydration from water. Water quality and its oxygen content also affect his abilities by a noticeable percentage but he still remains quite formidable as a quirk user.
Occupation: Captain of a coast guard team, he’s a strict military man with an amazing record of saving people from any disasters both on land and sea. Him and Walker are best buddies ever since they went to school together.
Vortex
Hero Name: Vortex
Quirk: Storm Warning
Vortex can utilize any variation of a natural disaster depending on the environment he’s in. Hurricanes, tornadoes, thunderstorms, you name it he can create it for his use. However, despite his amazing control over his quirk it is still possible for him to create these disasters if he lost control or magnify another pre-existing one if he loses focus.
Occupation: Storm-chaser/Forecaster; His control and knowledge in combating/predicting these natural disasters has led to him to be part of a storm chasing crew and they’re the best in helping disaster prevention teams evacuate citizens as a result.
Petra Eris
Hero name: Pandora
Quirk: Butterfly Effect
Can manipulate or prevent a chaotic event to happen if she was in proximity and present to prevent it to happen. Or even give a little chaos to the opponent to deal with during battle.
One of the top ten heroes and most beloved heroes in the country. She is the best strategist in any team and has a way to predict any event before they happen given the necessity of it for her quirk to work in her favor.
Johnny
Vigilante name: Johnny 13
Quirk: Unlucky
Johnny manifests his bad luck into a shadow that will latch onto opponents and cause unfortunate events to occur more for that individual as a result. However, the shadow cannot exist in complete sunlight; it can only remain if there are already shadows in his general area or it’s nighttime and its effects are strongest at that time obviously.
Occupation: Johnny is the leader of a biker gang or de-facto leader of said biker gang who loves to raise hell and helping folks that need saving whenever he’s around or is up to the task. Kitty tags along with him to help him out of jams and bc she loves him. :3
Kitty
Vigilante name: Kitty
Quirk: Lovesick
Kitty sends a smooch towards her opponent which if it makes contact causes the individual to have nausea or become disoriented for around 10 minutes. It can also have a chance of lasting longer if the individual was sort of infatuated with her regardless of gender.
Pariah Dark
Villain name: King Pariah
Quirk: Ultimate Adaptation
Similar to all for one except with the unpredictability for both the user and opponents. Pariah can manifest any type of quirk needed to defeat anyone that stands in his way both one-on-one and in groups. Course, drawbacks are the learning curve to some of the quirks and that multiple adaptions he utilizes at once will destroy his cells in the process.
Pariah is a former follower of all for one who had unique quirk that All for one augmented to help him succeed if both Shigaraki and Tomura failed in their own conquest for the world. But now Pariah has his own plans to succeed where they failed and become the leader who shapes a new world order with an iron fist.
Frederick Kingsmen
Villain/vigilante name: Fright Knight
Quirk: Burning Energy Infusion
Able to form/infuse objects with his own burning energy life force that is capable of burning or slicing through any in his sight. The sweat he gives off is what provides the material needed to ignite his unnatural flames despite it causing his body to overheat still.
Fright Knight is Pariah’s second-in-command with a loyalty to him as strong as his control over his power. Fright Knight has faced many pro-heros as he carried out the smaller phases of Pariah’s plans and most of them barely came close towards defeating or leaving as much as  scratch on the knight.
Rodolfo Gonzalo
Hero name: Wulf
Quirk: Werewolf + Portal creation (50/50?)
Can do anything a werewolf can supposedly do; somehow it allows him to create portals with his claws to locations he has marked with them or visited in the past.
Wulf was abducted on by Pariah’s forces and sent into the Nomu labs for experimentation to force on another quirk and instill complete allegiance to their cause. Course, Wulf broke free as a result of that new additional quirk allowing him to escape their clutches and his previous one helping him survive the endeavor. However, he lost his memories in the process and could only remember his native language, Spanish, and his hero name Wulf.
Overgrown
Villain/vigilante Name: Overgrown
Quirk: Plant Manipulation
Can manipulate any pre-existing plant matter or create new vegetation if water and soil is present for the process or he understand the biological makeup of the plant in question.
Occupation: Pro-hero or eco-terrorist who is tired of humanity from abusing the environment from quirk battles to industries using the land for their own benefits and none others.
That’s all I have for now! I hope this was worth the wait, guys. As well as, inspire ideas for your takes with a DP x BNHA Crossover!

You Can’t Punch A Ghost
Ch 3. Goths, Jocks and Ghosts go SHOPPING
AO3
First | Previous | Next
Danny groggily left the room and shuffled into the hallway, still pretty tired from his little exploration around the city last night. When he woke up, he nearly had a panic attack, thinking he got kidnapped or something based on the change of scenery from his own familiar bedroom. Vlad has pulled that shit before, but luckily his memories caught up with him and he remembered the whole, ‘stuck in a superhero universe’.
It took him a few seconds to navigate his way towards the living room, where he heard what sounded like news was being played.
“-Endeavor successfully took down the Hero Killer, Stain. As well as saving three students from UA from the deadly villains' grasp,” Danny nearly tripped over his own feet as he glanced at the television and recognized the three students. “As the villain is now behind bars, unrest amongst the public is now eased, though there is worry about the influence Stain has left behind.”
Blade guy was called Stain? And was a hero killer? What kind of plot point villain did he stumble across last night?
“While Endeavor’s success in taking down such a villain hasn’t gone unnoticed, his popularity polls remain the same, as well as rumours of the arrest have been circling since early this morning on Internet forums. Particularly that the no. 2 hero got help from a vigilante. There is no proof of this claim so far, but time will bring the truth of the matter to light.”
… did that fire dude seriously just steal his credit? He didn’t see that dude ANYWHERE during the encounter, why the hell are they saying those three were saved? They did most of the work!
“Don’t like the number 2 hero?”
Danny jolted in surprise and whipped around to see Aizawa standing down the hall, a cup in his hand and the same tired look in his eyes as yesterday… Did he even sleep last night? “Uh-,” Danny glanced at the TV again then back at Aizawa, “n-not particularly. Dude gives off a bad vibe.”
Aizawa shuffled past him and turned off the TV, “you sleep like the dead,” he said, catching Danny’s attention again with a worried look before remembering that it was a saying and not an accusation that he was a ghost. Nope. Not everyone thinks he’s dead! Just gotta remember that fact. “I had to deal with some of my problematic students this morning, I tried to tell you but you slept through every effort I tried to wake you.”
Danny blinked in return, “It was a very… busy day yesterday.”
Aizawa nodded, “it worked out, we still have time this afternoon to go. We leave in 5 minutes.”
Danny twisted in surprise, “5 minutes? Why not 15?”
“4 minutes.”
Danny quickly realized negotiating was not going to help and bolted towards the bedroom to fetch his phone and anything else he may need. Which seemed to only be his phone.
“Run a comb through that rat's nest while you’re at it,” Aizawa called after him.
Danny huffed a little, his hair was the least of his worries, but as he stepped out of the bedroom and met Aizawa’s gaze, he crumpled and went to do as he said. “Say’s the guy who looks like he rolled out of bed,” Danny muttered. He glanced at his head and frowned at the fact that his hair did look like a worse kind of messy than his usual kind of messy. A quick comb and he was back out as Aizawa was by the door, hands in hidden pockets and a single raised eyebrow.
Then they were out the door, only this time instead of driving, Aizawa took the opposite direction of the building's garage. Instead of questioning Aizawa’s choice of walking instead of driving, he had a different question on his mind, “so what did your problematic students do to get your attention so early in the morning?” He knew what they did but he had to be a clueless teenager right? And teenagers are interested in stuff like what other teenagers do to cause problems.
Aizawa grunted, not looking back or slowing his pace as he spoke, “one did something he wasn’t supposed to do, something I never expected him to do, and two others decided to get involved.”
“Vague,” Danny stated.
Aizawa shrugged and they continued to walk in silence.
After a few minutes of silent walking, it was starting to drive Danny a little crazy, “you’re not very chatty today.”
Aizawa cast him an unamused look.
“I honestly expected more questions. Even ones like, ‘do you remember your family’, ‘does that tree look familiar’, ‘do you remember how you got here,’ that kind of stuff.”
“If your memories start coming back, you’ll mention it. Prompting questions won’t help,” Aizawa hummed.
Danny frowned, glancing around the area as they walked to find some entertainment in that. The streets were much more different at ground level in the day than they were at night. He still wasn’t quite used to people with very mutated qualities, blinking or staring too long at people with especially obvious features. Sometimes he had to speed up a little to catch up to Aizawa when he paused too long, the man didn’t seem to care much about waiting.
Then they were at the mall, or he assumed it was based on the fact that Aizawa had stopped in front of a rather large building. Something had been bugging Danny the entire walk there and as he glanced at the signs, he finally figured out what it was.
He couldn’t read the signs.
They were written in some sort of different language than english, the lines making up the script not even resembling any letters. He already had a hard time with English, his failing grade thanks to the fact that words and letters liked to float around his page ever since the accident.
He glanced back at the city signs and sure enough, all of them had the exact same kind of script. He couldn’t read any of it.
Turning back, he noticed he was losing Aizawa and rushed to catch up with him, sticking close as his lack of ability to read anything started getting concerning. He could read the numbers last night off the signs and buildings, and his phone seemed unaffected by this revelation as well, but now being unable to read anything else at all just felt… imitating. How had he not noticed this until now?
“How confident are you about going off on your own with some cash?” Aizawa suddenly asked.
Danny quickly whipped back to look at him, seeing him holding open a wallet and pulling out some paper-looking cash. He could recognize the numbers still, but the realization that he couldn’t read anything was freaking him out, “Not very confident,” Danny squawked, unable to hide his unease very well.
Aizawa raised an eyebrow, then put his wallet away as he put his hands in his pocket, “well then, lead the way.”
“Lead the- I’ve never been here before I don’t know where I’m going!” Danny yelped.
Aizawa gestured around the area, “wander, go into stores that interest you.”
“But I-,” Danny glanced at the signs again, then took a breath, it’s fine, he didn’t need to read. The stores had windows to show off what they were selling. It’s fine, things would be fine. “-Alright.” He then picked a random direction and headed that way.
As the day went on, Danny slowly began to build back his confidence, the first 15 minutes having him second guess his choices before eventually he found his stride and specifically a space themed shop. He could feel his core thrum when he found the shop, the space themed clothes and items exciting. While he couldn’t find anything relating to NASA, (did this world even have NASA?) he found a bunch of shirts with dumb space puns and went wild, casting a questioning look to Aizawa for approval before walking out of the shop with a good haul of space shirts.
They went to stop for lunch before continuing which was… even more interesting. Because this was when Danny remembered he couldn’t fucking read. He didn’t know what he was looking at, what anything meant, heck if it had some sort of lettering like English he could maybe sound it out and eat whatever they gave him but this was so forgein to him that he couldn’t even do that.
“Any preference?”
Danny glanced at Aizawa once more, doing his best to hide any panic he was feeling, “uh- not really I’ll just have whatever you’re having.” He pretended to shrug it off. Yeah, play it cool. He could eat anything, he didn’t have any food allergies and he has eaten a fair share of utensils in the past based on the fact he tends to inhale whatever was placed in front of him.
“Are you sure? It’s no problem, there’s plenty of choices,” Aizawa pressed.
Danny shook his head, “I’m sure! Whatever you’ll have, I’ll have!”
Aizawa leaned forward, and Danny could feel himself start to sweat nervously, “... alright.”
Then he stood up and headed over to one of the many food stalls, and Danny let out a nervous breath. No need to let Aizawa figure out the reading issue, it was fine.
That was odd… he felt like something was behind him-
“What are you doing with Mr. Aizawa?”
Danny shrieked, spinning and stumbling at the same time as he fell off his chair and knocked his head on the table, smacking onto the ground with a wheeze. He tensed as he glanced up at his attacker, his vision swimming before it finally focused on… a… pink… girl? Danny sat up with a shout, using the table as support to pull himself to his feet as he bristled, “who are you?”
He noticed she had a friend and had to bite back another shout of surprise, the other person's face- it was a bird face- why do people with bird faces exist- who were these people?!
“The real question is who,” the girl continued, leaning forward, “are you?”
“Maybe Mr. Aizawa just has a kid,” the bird kid said, and Danny had to suppress another surprised noise as he watched him speak. Did- did he have teeth. A beak with teeth. Was his shadow moving?
“Why wouldn’t he talk about him though? All parents talk about their kids! Unless-!” The pink girl spun on Danny with an accusingly pointed finger, “he dishonoured the family and was disowned! What did you do? Become a villain? The worst thing a child could do to get disowned by a hero parent!”
Danny tensed, feeling cornered despite the wide space around him that allowed him to just run off if he really felt like it, “I- uh- I’m not- he’s not-,” Danny stumbled over his words, not sure how to respond to these absolute strangers that seemed to know Aizawa.
“Ashido. Tokoyami.”
The duo glanced up and Danny looked over to see Aizawa had returned to save him just in time. He set the tray on the table and walked over to place himself between Danny and the two teens, “I thought you two have internships today.”
Danny had no fucking clue who Ashido was and who Tokoyami was, both names forgien to him, he only knew that Aizawa knew these other teens based on the familiarity.
“We get a day off!” The pink girl exclaimed, “who’s the kid? We saw you two hanging together! Do you have a kid, Mr. Aizawa? A secret kid? Is he in witness protection? I’ve never seen him before and you never talk about your personal life, this is like a gold mine!”
“He’s a kid I’m watching for a friend,” Aizawa lied.
Danny shot a quick glance, catching Aizawa’s eye that clearly said: go with it.
Danny subconsciously brought a hand to his neck, rubbing the back of it nervously as he spoke, “yes- uh my parents have something special they are working on and A- Mr. Aizawa here offered to take care of me while they did so.” Honestly, this is the best he’s ever managed to lie before, usually he creates a mess of lies that’s picked apart before he’s even finished. Maybe it was the fact he had Aizawa to work off of.
“I didn’t know you also had friends!” The pink girl exclaimed.
“It’s quite uncharacteristic, though he is friends with Present Mic, isn’t he?” The bird face dude hummed. “I won’t doubt that if Todoroki spots you two, he will make assumptions.”
“Hey! He’s really good at those theories!” The pink girl exclaimed, then leaned forward towards the bird-faced boy, “and Midoriya totally could be the secret love child of All Might, his quirk is so similar! And they always seem to share looks that just screams ‘secret’!” She glanced between Aizawa and Danny and whispered, “He could totally be his secret love child and the ‘parents friend’ is just a coverup.”
Danny blinked, pretending he didn’t hear it since he had an ice quirk, not a super-hearing quirk.
Suddenly he was pushed forward by Aizawa, dragging out a yelp of surprise, “Anyhow, this is Danny. Danny, these are my students, Ashido,” he gestured towards the pink girl, “and Tokoyami,” he gestured towards the bird head. Okay, Danny had names now for the two. Aizawa paused, a thought seemed to cross his mind, and Danny didn’t like the new look dawning on his face. “Maybe you should spend some time with the two, spending time with kids your age would be better than always staying close to me.”
Danny blinked, and then Ashido shrieked, linking her arm around Danny’s and dragging him back before he could react, “Yes! That sounds like a whole lot of fun! Wouldn’t you agree, Tokoyami?”
Tokoyami had his eyes closed, but nodded, “three does sound more exciting.”
“What are we waiting for! This mall is massive and we have a lot of ground to cover!”
Then Danny was being dragged away as Aizawa cast him an amused look, Danny barely registering the fact that Aizawa had placed his lunch into his arms before he was dragged around the corner.
Encountering his students at the mall was unexpected, but not unwelcome. At least they weren’t causing trouble like his other students.
What caught his attention between the exchange though was how easily Danny managed to lie, and so quickly as well. There was no hesitation, quickly and casually slipping into the lie Shouta had set up.
It’s like he did it often from how easily he ran with the lie.
So what did that tell Shouta about his past?
His theory on illegal experimentation came to mind once more, lying is not always the result of bad intentions, in fact it more often lies in the desire to survive.
He probably should have thought more on encouraging his students to drag Danny around, but they were very promising kids who had experience with danger and knew how to deal with it. And Danny did need to interact with people his age, it could spark memories, or at the very least start building up relationships. Friends. Keeping him away from that kind of thing was never very socially healthy.
Maybe the pair will drag more secrets out of the mysterious kid, especially since Shouta already suspected he was hiding something from him.
These two were… a very odd pair. Tokoyami didn’t speak much, but did sprinkle in some talk of darkness and such. He even spoke a little about spirits, almost giving Danny another heart attack before he realized he was referring to the general myth of them and connecting them to his talk of gloom and darkness. He reminded Danny a lot of Sam, but more goth? If that was possible.
Mina was very loud, bright, and full of life. She carried all of the conversation. Which was mostly about being a hero, fashion trends, and anything that caught her interest.
The three explored the mall at various paces based on who decided to lead, Ashido was very fast paced and dragged them to stores with the flashiest clothes. She pulled out bright pink cheetah print tights, neon yellow and turquoise crop tops, flame patterned cowboy boots; if it was bright, wild, and fun, it caught her eye. She even managed to convince Danny to try on some star shaped shades, which he only agreed to get if Tokoyami did as well.
Before he knew it, the three of them had matching pairs of shades and were heading towards Tokoyami’s favourite store. The moment they stepped in, Danny became painfully reminded of Sam. It had only been a day- but it was still a painful reminder he still had no idea how to get home. Tokoyami snapped him out of the reminders by leading him to a wall filled with ‘spirit crystals’, crystals that held spirits and glowed when free spirits would pass by. It was a relief to know they were fake when none of them reacted to Danny, but something else caught his attention. Off to the side were more tables of crystals and rocks, but one section was specifically labelled ‘meteorite’. He leaned over the minerals, excitement filling his entire being as he picked out a particularly interesting one. “Are these actually from space?” He asked, glancing at Tokoyami.
The bird headed goth shrugged, “I believe so, it’s quite easy for some people to get to space with their quirk, and then bring back some minerals. This store particularly carries genuine products from my experience.”
How could he not get the meteorite piece? It’s from a different dimension! From a different dimension’s space!
He actually found himself… enjoying some of the time being spent with the pair, there was a very nice balance between them. Then Mina opened up the can of worms as she spoke of her and her classmates' exploits so far in the short time they had spent at the school.
“Then the astronaut hero Thirteen was taken out! It was terrifying-!”
“Astronaut… hero?” Danny steadied his breath, there were space themed heroes? Of course there were, in a world of superheroes it would be weird if someone wasn’t space themed.
“Yeah! Thirteen! They’re really cool, they wear this astronaut suit all the time because their quirk is wicked dangerous. I was so scared they died during the attack but in the end they were totally fine! Which was a plus!”
Danny would have to look up this hero some other time… in fact he may have to find information on all the heroes in the area. He’s already been painted as a vigilante by the one dude last night, and he planned on looking for answers as Phantom when he could, which meant avoiding heroes. But they were popular, which means with the right information he would know how to avoid them.
He was about to ask her more about the astronaut hero (like maybe everything she knew about the hero), when the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end and he felt something was wrong. It wasn’t a ghost sense, but he knew the feeling of danger before it became clear. “Get down!” He hissed, dragging the two to the ground just as the glass behind them exploded, sending shards in all directions. Some goonish dude crawled out of the store, his skin looked like it was dripping oil, pooling at his feet as he left behind footprints. The pair glanced over their shoulders as Danny tried to find a private spot to transform-...
Wait a second.
Danny Fenton has an Ice Quirk.
Before the other two could react, Danny placed a hand on the ground and let his ice core bloom in his chest, the chill spreading through his body before sending it through the ground towards the villain.
The villain was slowly making their way forward before they stopped, Danny’s ice reaching their slimy feet and freezing them to the ground. The villain paused and looked down with a confused frown, then Danny poured more energy into the ice, sending it spiking up the villain as they shrieked in alarm, and as quickly as they appeared, they were entirely encased in ice within mere seconds. He didn’t worry too much about the villain getting hyperthermia, ghost ice being freezing cold but not causing permanent damage to the living. It felt cold, it had the sensation of cold, but Danny knew it didn’t actually cause frostbite to humans. It was… weird. Since it also was extremely difficult to melt.
But he didn’t regret deciding on the ice to be Fenton’s quirk.
He quickly melted the trail leading to his hand as he stood up, faking shaking knees as he glanced at the stunned pair, “that was… weird,” Danny faked a waver in his voice to mimic fear.
Security guards were on the scene in a few seconds, and then came more brightly dressed people who scratched their heads at the ice and the villain encased inside, the villains eyes the only thing that could move at the moment. Then they began to quickly chip at the ice, realizing they needed more power when that didn’t work. As much as Danny could just melt it by touching it, he decided to take a step away instead of attracting too much attention.
“Who do you think did that?” Ashido whispered.
“Danny.”
Danny flinched and slowly peeked over his shoulder to see Aizawa storming towards the three, then remembered Aizawa probably knew about the ice- oh fuck-
Aizawa snatched him by the collar of his shirt and Danny cried out and flailed as the man dragged him over to the ice and other heroes, who looked confused at the display of the pair.
“Melt it. Now. Before you kill him.”
Danny hunched his shoulders, glancing at all the staring eyes before quickly placing a hand on the ice and letting it melt under his hand. It seemed to evaporate instead of turning into a puddle, disappearing in seconds and letting the villain drop and shiver on the ground. Danny pulled his hand back and shoved it into his pocket, “he would’ve been fine.”
“You can’t use your quirk in public, you don’t have a license.”
“He nearly plowed me, Ashido, and Tokoyami over! I was making sure he didn’t stomp on more kids!” Danny hissed. He helped. Should it really matter if he had a license or whatever when he stopped a villain from causing harm? And property damage? This was the least property damage he's ever caused, that had to count for something.
“If everyone went around, using their quirks like pro heroes and those who are licensed, they could cause more damage and harm because of the lack of training. You barely remember your past, you could have lost control and killed someone, and encasing someone in ice will suffocate and kill them.”
“I have control and my ice doesn’t hurt people like that!” Danny snapped.
“And how do you know that?”
“I just do!” Danny shouted as he threw up his hands. Then he saw a look in Aizawa’s eyes and realized he made a mistake. Shit. That was a suspicious look. One that said, ‘we will discuss this further in private’. He knew it from Jazz way too well.
He pulled away from Aizawa and sulked over to a wall, feeling his chest tighten as panic began to sink in. He’s going to ask about the ice, how he knows the effects of it, going to ask why he was so quick to react to the attack, he bet Ashido and Tokoyami might mention how he shoved them to the ground before the robbery even happened. There will be questions about that too. Should he disappear? Turn invisible and walk off? Not look back? He dug himself so deep in this hole- it’s barely been a day and he already fucked everything up.
Someone touched his arm and he flinched away with a sharp hiss, glancing up to see it was Aizawa.
He should run.
He was good at running.
Being a ghost made it so easy to disappear.
He could make it where he couldn’t be found.
When people didn’t have ghost tech, he could disappear for as long as he wanted.
Just walk through a wall and leave.
“Kid.”
Danny didn’t meet Aizawa’s eyes. Why wasn’t he just running?
“I shouldn’t have snapped. You’re still probably dealing with missing memories, forgetting things, working on instinct. There’s a lot of laws dealing with quirks, and I just dealt with three of my students doing what you just did.”
Danny still didn’t want to meet his gaze.
“You wanted to help. I see you have the same recklessness as some students of mine, and you did what you thought was right. You did help, this time, and there’s a lot of willingness to let this go based on the lack of witnesses and lack of damage done.”
“Then what?”
Aizawa paused, “what do you mean, ‘then what’?”
“Are you going to send me to the child services or whatever? Interrogate me?”
“No. I’ll ask questions once we return to the apartment but I won’t require you to answer them.”
For some reason, this started to frustrate Danny, “why not?” Was it because he kept acting like this was fine? Why was his voice so calm? Why was he apologizing to Danny? Why was he still treating him nicely? Giving him space when Danny was clearly hiding something? Why the hell didn’t he just leave?
“Because no one will benefit from forcing answers out of someone who’s unwilling to give them out of fear.”
Danny finally glanced up, expecting a cold gaze but being hit with a softer one instead. He hunched his shoulders, slumping against the wall.
He thought he was pretty good at hiding his fear so far. Guess he was wrong.
As promised, Shouta asked Danny questions about his quirk. And Danny got to choose what he wanted to share and what he didn’t.
Danny shared facts about his quirk, describing it as ‘unable to permanently hurt anyone alive’. But he didn’t share how he knew about this fact, or why he was so sure he could control it.
The concern Shouta had in regards to how the situation was handled had led him to a lack of emotional control and snapping at the kid. He could also blame his long morning and dealing with this felt like déjà vu from earlier with his students. But that didn’t excuse how he reacted. And he regretted his outburst. Though as he thought back to it, another reason for his reaction came from how the whole incident was handled.
It wasn’t handled by someone who didn’t know how to use their quirk or had never been in combat before.
There was minimal damage, in fact the only damage that was done was done by the villain. Danny’s ice didn’t cause any issues. It didn’t crack the floors, didn’t pierce the ceilings, it was all contained and focused on the villain. It was a fast reaction, almost like a second nature, as described by his students. They said he pushed them out of the way before the store exploded, then froze the villain before he was even aware of his surroundings. And the kid was right about the ice properties of his quirk.
The villain said that it was cold when he was frozen, that he couldn’t move but he could still manage to breathe, like in a dream. And doctors didn’t report signs of frostbite or hyperthermia. He was just a little chilly and drowsy afterwards.
Another concerning fact was that he used his quirk very quietly, in fact Tokoyami and Ashido never suspected him. He had experience in secretive use of his quirk. He had experience in containing damage. He had experience in dangerous situations.
Then there were some little things Shouta was slowly noticing, how Danny’s eyes would scan every nearby area starting with the darkest corners. He took note of it when he brought him to his apartment yesterday, he expected the kid to be a little paranoid, but during their walk to the mall it became more apparent that he always checked the dark areas. Alleys, inclove corners, tensing a little when they walked past corners he couldn’t fully see around. Paranoid. As if expecting the worst to jump out at any moment.
Combat experience and trained paranoia hinted that either these were skills rooted into his mind where even without memories he was subconsciously using them, or he knew more than he was telling Shouta.
And he was growing more and more concerned about the skill that Danny actually possessed, how much was being held back, and for what purpose had he been taught it. Who had taught him to use his abilities so skillfully, and why.
Danny had hidden in the room Shouta had given him after they had spoken, having ducked his head and disappeared so quickly and quietly, Shouta had been surprised his feet had even touched the ground.
So much wasn’t adding up, and again Shouta didn’t want to press for facts. Not yet. It had barely been a day, and if Shouta wanted honest answers without chasing Danny off, he had to be patient.
He thought he was almost about to make a run for it earlier, the way the kid kept eyeing the windows at the mall or nearby doors, he was so sure that the kid was going to bolt.
What exactly could he be running from?
Danny stared at his phone, scrolling through the contacts and phone numbers that didn’t work as the scenes from the day flashed through his head. Did Vlad do this all on purpose? Drag Danny out of Amity just to toss him through a well timed portal and get him out of the way? He was having such a hard time remembering what happened after Vlad tackled him- or did he tackle Vlad? The fight was a blur at this point, the hospital people told him he had a head wound when he came in, so he hit his head and his memories were a mess. Which didn’t help him in trying to find where he showed up in the world and maybe could find a way to track the portals.
He opened the notes app again, reading over Clockwork's message again with even more frustration. Usually he hints at what Danny needed to do in these kinds of situations but this was just getting ridiculous!
‘Remember to follow your heart.’
The words mocked him.
Follow it where? How the hell does he follow his heart? Will it lead him home or will it lead him to whatever he was supposed to do in this world? It was all just-! Frustrating!
He dropped his phone back onto the side table, deciding that staring at it wouldn’t help much other than flare his temper. Just clear his head…
Danny took a heavy breath, then held it for a few seconds before letting it out. Frost that had been creeping along his sheets crinkled as he shifted back into a sitting position. A knock at the door caused Danny to jump, quickly patting the frost away to melt it and hissing as it just turned to water and made the sheets wet. He wanted to make it evaporate like before, not turn his bed into a water bed-!
“Danny-,” the door opened and Aizawa paused as he looked at Danny, halfway through smacking his now wet bed that made a ‘squelch’ noise that seemed to echo in the heavy silence.
Danny immediately felt his face flush in embarrassment, staring back into those overly tired eyes of the man who took him in.
Aizawa then shattered the silence as he continued on, averting his gaze to a nearby wall instead of directly at Danny, “we need to discuss your integration into UA next week, and get some food while we discuss.”
Danny slowly blinked, “... right, yes. I’ll be out in a minute,” he squeaked.
Aizawa nodded and then turned and walked back out, closing the door behind him.
Danny groaned in embarrassment and dropped his head into the soggy bed, forgetting that it was wet and now his face felt like a wet sock. He was starting to look like a clumsy idiot who didn’t know what he was doing and now Aizawa had just witnessed him wetting the bed. With ghost frost, not pee but still-!
For some reason the embarrassment was slightly… comforting.
It felt just like he was at home.

For the Hero's Spirit AU, is Tucker going to show up in some capacity? Since he was also reincarnated once and would have experience with people expecting him to be someone else?
Izuku growled as his head cleared. He didn't know how Vlad had gotten through his defense, but they'd be shored up as soon as he beat his displeasure into the former halfa. "What do you want now, Fruitloop?"
"No need for that, Daniel. After all, I'm trying to help you. And I went through all the trouble of finding your best friend to help you along."
His best friend? Izuku glanced around and saw someone his age wearing a uniform for UA, but was fairly sure he'd never seen him before in his life. Great, Vlad was dragging someone else into this.
He gave a finger to where the voice seemed to be coming from, then turned to his schoolmate. "Uh, Midoriya Izuku 1A. Sorry about this."
"Sakuma Haru, 1H," Support student then, "What did he mean we were best friends. "I like saw you at the sports festival, but I wasn't even there! I was out sick that week."
Izuku sighed. "His name is Plasmius. He's a villain from...a really long time ago. Part of his quirk basically stops him in time. He had this obsession with a woman he liked and her son who had a quirk similar to his. He despised the woman's husband for winning her heart. After they all died he kind of went into a funk and stopped being active. Then I inherited the son's quirk."
Izuku sighed. "He's decided I was Danny reborn." and was right, but he wouldn't admit it. "And he's trying to get me to 'remember' being Danny. He's also assigning roles to other people. Since my Dad isn't active in my life he's decided the person I look up to, All Might, is now 'Jack', Danny's father. And from what I've read one of Danny's best friends in an inventor and you're in the Support course, I'm guessing you've been assigned the role of 'Foley Tucker'."
"So I'm wrapped up into this because a supervillain assigned me kin to a dead inventor?" Sakuma said dryly.
"Welcome to my life." Izuku added in the same tone.
"Okay, so are we waiting for the heroes or are we going to bust out of this Cheese-heads prison ourselves?"
Izuku laughed. It was a more appropriate insult than Sakuma could have known. He had a feeling both of them would get along just fine.
~~~~
So Vlad actually got it right, for once. Haru Sakuma is indeed the reincarnation of Tucker Foley and Pharaoh Duul' Ammon.
The name Haru is written with the kanji 陽 meaning 'light, sun, male' which seemed appropriate for a Pharaoh. Sakuma comes from 佐(Sa: Help, aid) 久(Ku: A long time ago) and 間(Ma: time, interval), chosen because he was someone who helped Danny a long time ago.
Ok, first AU for the day:
Danny phantom au
So a few weeks ago, I went to redrobin-detective’s blog under anon, & talked about the stunning lack of…canon-fusion aus?
Idk how to describe it well, basically character from series A goes under circumstances from series B and gets powers from a character from series B
I.E, Naruto gets a death note + Ryuk, Kim Posible is a gem hybrid, just spitballing.
But yea, that, between dp & MHA.
She gave me a kick in the ass that I needed to start this AU, so here I am!
The story (up to UA under the cut):
Starts when izuku gets told he can’t be a hero
He walks home after saving Bakugo, trying to hold on
He doesn’t, but still resolves to get into UA!
…’s support course!
He decides to clean dagobah to train himself from skinny green-bean to slightly less skinny green-bean
There, in mid-June, he meets hatsume
She threatens him with a power drill, but they come to an understanding
That being: she’ll teach him to build support items, and he’ll take the scrap to her apartment to use as fuel for said-teaching
It takes her 3 months to learn his name
Skip forward to February, and Mei breaks into izuku’s house to show him something cool
Said “cool thing” is a gate in the basement of the apartment
According to Mei, she’s been doing calculations with string theory, and according to said calculations, she found that there’s a possibility that their world has other “shadow worlds” to it.
So…look, watch the dp OP, that’s what happens, that’s the point of this au-
Either way, mei, who went upstairs to plug some stuff in, hears the portal fire up, and sees it working.
However, izuku’s nowhere in sight.
Mei, who was in a sleep deprived haze, feels a single memory slice through the fog: she installed an “on” button in the portal.
IN the portal.
She realizes what happened, and nearly breaks down…
And then she sees izuku stumble out of the portal, in his hazmat, coughing.
She catches him as he falls, and cries when he shows he’s still alive
However, her relief turns to panic as he phases through the floor
She catches him, but it’s a close call.
From there, after multiple tests, she concludes that his physiology was completely scrambled by the portal, and is technically half-dead.
Aside from that, he can swap between that “ghostly” form and his “alive” form
Said “ghostly” form has red hair, eyes, and hazmat suit, with white shading in his hair, and black collar, gloves, and boots for the suit.
The two of them experiment with the ghost form, and soon enough, UA starts the first trimester.
That’s all I’m saying for now, but I will say that the first ghost they face that’s actually a threat is Penelope Spectra
(1/3) I. Uh. Have an idea for a sequel to the pep talk short? Post-Kamino, Izuku is down on himself because he doesn't feel like a worthy successo to All Might. He's in some public space when a boy (Danny) asks him what's up and Izu (trying to keep ofa secret) says he's upset about how everyone talks about AM like he's dead. Danny (hiding everything about himself including seeing the vestiges) jumps on the topic, talking about everything awesome about him that didn't come from the quirk.
(2/3) (And yes, the vestiges add a lot, especially Nana) But he also manages to work in helping Izu (by talking generally about the emerging generation of young heroes) (Btw, Clockwork warned him about not mentioning his 'quirk' because he's a bad liar and Izu would poke holes in that story in 10 seconds) What Danny wasn't warned about is that Izuku was in that public space because he was waiting to meet up with Toshinori, who heard everything and recognized his friend from middle school.
(3/3) (maybe he confronts him or maybe he's just grateful for whatever kind of divine intervention this is)
Izuku’s hands trembled.  Which was.  A thing.  Had been a thing for a while, now, actually.  Since the sports festival.
The fight against Muscular had made it worse.
Not that he regretted saving Kouda or anything!  The opposite, really!  It was just...  He wished he had found some way to do it without shattering his arms.  Again.
(Something dark within him whispered, go for his eyes.  The only muscles there are in the iris, and clearly they aren’t enough.  Take the prosthetic and slam it into-)
(No, he had said back, unwilling to go that far.  Unwilling to mutilate another human being to that extent, even a murderer.)
He winced internally, and rubbed his palm with his opposite hand.  He wondered if All Might, if Toshinori-san, ever thought like this about All for One.
Probably.
“-Kamino,” said someone passing behind the bench, taking quietly to the person they were walking with.  “It’s such a shame.”
“I know.  I just can’t believe he’s gone-”
This time, Izuku’s wince was external.  Ever since the Kamino Ward incident, he’d been overhearing conversations like that one.  More than once, he’d been on the receiving end of a conversation like that one.  Especially if he was out in public and in his UA uniform.
Which he wasn’t right now.  He was in a low-key All Might brand hoodie.  For some reason, he’d been reluctant to wear the more... obvious ones anywhere Toshinori-san could see him.  That’d just be weird, right?
A pair of feet come into Izuku’s line of sight, and he looks up, surprised, to see a Caucasian boy standing in front of him.  The boy has black hair and blue eyes almost bright enough to rival All Might’s.  He is, perhaps, a year or two younger than Izuku.
“Hi,” said the boy, waving.  “Are you okay?” he asked in flawless and unaccented Japanese.
“Uh,” said Izuku.  “Y-yeah!  I’m fine.  Why?”
“You looked kind of upset,” said the boy.  “Especially when those two girls walked by behind you.”  He tilted his head.  “Want to talk about it?  My sister says that sometimes it helps.  She’s studying to be a psychologist.”
“I don’t know...” said Izuku.
“That’s okay,” said the boy, shrugging.  He sat down on the bench next to Izuku, a thick stream of mist emerging from his mouth as he did so.  He seemed unbothered by this.  “We could talk about something else.  Distractions are good, too.”
Izuku opened his mouth.  Closed it.  Frowned.  Well, if there was anything he was good at, it was chasing people off.
“Oh,” said the boy.  “I can sense quirks.  When someone with a quirk gets close to me, my body temperature drops.”  He shrugged.  “You dropped my body temperature a lot.  Your quirk is really strong.”
Izuku hunched his shoulders, too distracted by the last sentence to even start analyzing the boy’s (really cool!) quirk.  ‘His’ quirk.  If All Might had still had it at Kamino, would things have gone better?  Would he still be able to do hero work?
How much had Izuku taken from him?
“I bet a lot of people tell you that, though.”
Izuku startled.  Somehow, he’d forgotten the boy was even there.
“It’s like...”  The boy trailed off, staring upward.  “It’s like, sometimes, people don’t see each other.  They only see quirks.  Strong quirks, weak quirks, villainous quirks, heroic quirks.  No quirk.  It’s silly, isn’t it?”
“What do you mean?” asked Izuku.  “Are you saying quirks don’t matter?”  The first fourteen years of his life would like to disagree.
“No,” said the boy.  “They matter a lot.  Saying they didn’t would be like saying money doesn’t matter, or social status doesn’t matter.  But they’re not everything.  They’re not even the most important thing.”  The boy leaned forward, putting his elbows on his knees and resting his chin on his interlocked fingers.  “The most important thing is what you do with what you’ve got.  If someone has a quirk that can save thousands of lives, but they don’t use it, they can’t say they’re better than someone who has no quirk but saves someone anyway, don’t you think?  Even if it’s just one person.”
Izuku was flabbergasted, because that speech was far too tailored to him to random.
“I mean, my sister is quirkless,” continued the boy.  “Ha, you probably don’t want to hear about my family, when you’ve got your own things to worry about.  Anyway, even if everyone is telling you that you have to use your quirk in one way, or they’re heaping all these expectations on you, all that matters is what you decide to do with it.  Or yourself.  Like, there’s this one astrophysicist I read about that has this really wild quirk that everybody said meant she had to go into manufacturing, but she didn’t want to, and she had the brains for physics, so-”
Izuku listened to the boy ramble.  It was actually kind of soothing.  Okay.  He needed to dial back his paranoia.
“-does that make sense?” finished the boy.
“Y-yeah,” said Izuku.  “But, um.  What was bothering me, it wasn’t my quirk.”  This would be fine, right?  It wasn’t like he’d actually say he was talking about All Might.  “It was...  I have a friend, and he’s sick, but...  Everyone is talking about him like he’s already dead, and he’s not.  What they said, it reminded me of that.  It’s just... frustrating.”
“Yikes,” said the boy.  “I don’t really have any advice for that.  It’s hard to change other people’s minds.”  The boy sighed, and the sound felt much older than it had any right to be.
“Daniel Fenton?”
Izuku whipped around at the sound of Toshinori-san’s voice.  The skeletal man was standing several feet to the right of the bench and had dropped one of the two ice cream cones he had been holding.
“Oops,” said the boy, on the other side of Izuku.  “Guess I stayed a bit too long.”
Despite his injuries, Toshinori was at Izuku’s side in an instant, pulling him off the bench and pushing himself between Izuku and the boy.  Daniel?  Fenton?
The boy had jumped away as well, and was regarding Toshinori-san with something between consternation and amusement.
“Who are you?” demanded All Might.  “Why do you look like that?”
“Hey,” said the boy, “that’s kind of rude, don’t you think, Toshinori-kun?  You’re the one that said my name.”
“Daniel Fenton is my age,” said All Might, glaring, his hand tightening around Izuku’s wrist.  Izuku activated just the barest percentage of One for All, readying himself for a fight.  “What are you playing at?”
“Well, if you’re going to be technical about it, I’m way older.”  He held up his hands.  “I don’t mean any harm.  Really.  Anyway, as long as I don’t have to beat around the bush, Midoriya-san, One for All didn’t clear this beach.  One for All didn’t save Bakugo-san, or Asui-san, or Kouda-kun.  One for All certainly didn’t convince this idiot to take care of himself, even a little bit.  That was all you.”  He pointed at Izuku.
... Were those finger guns?  Was this guy seriously throwing finger guns at him?
Scratch that, who was this guy and how did he know so much?!
“Are you working for All for One?” demanded All Might.
“Gross.  No.  Never even met the guy.”
“Then how do you have two quirk?” asked Izuku.  “Longevity, and whatever you did with the mist.”
The boy shrugged, careful to keep his hands half raised and obvious about it.  “The guy I actually work for can do time travel.  ‘Work for’ is kind of a weird way to put it, though.  It’s more like, he’s my mentor?  Same sort of set up as you guys have.”
“Time travel?” exclaimed Izuku.  He’d never heard of a time travel quirk before.
“I mean, there’s a reason for that,” said the boy, and Izuku blushed as he realized he’d spoken out loud.  “And you will.  It was really nice talking to you, Midoriya-san!  And it was great seeing you again, Toshinori-kun.  But I’m going to be picked up any se-”
The boy vanished.
“Um,” said Izuku after several long seconds, “All Might?  Who was that?”
“I...” said Toshinori.   “You know what?  That’s a great question.”
