Alright so

Boethiah “the font of inspiration” who calls upon mortals to leave their mark upon the world no matter the form.

Hircine “who is half the conscience of men” meaning the half of mortal minds that follows instinct and the drive for survival.

Malacath “who speaks all languages sideways” meaning he is a universal entity whose name and purpose has become distorted over time. Alternatively, he twists words to inspire rage.

Mehrunes Dagon “whose mistress is the blazing sun” meaning he was created by and serves the will of the Magna Ge who brought him forth.

Sheogorath “the comforter of men” meaning he who facilitates dissociation or a break from reality; taking mortals away from the pains of the world via madness. It’s a comfort to be free of reality but the side effects vary.

Molag Bal “whose breath is most foul” meaning the commands he speaks upon the mortal realm are palpable yet undesirable; a domineering root of suffering.

Namira “whose works works endure forever” meaning her design for existence is inescapable and inevitable aka entropy and decay.

Mephala “who threads the needle with the hair of wives” meaning she manipulates the bonds of loyalty to her ends.

Clavicus Vile “who always answers” meaning he’ll make a deal with anyone but the terms won’t necessarily be fair.

Nocturnal “whose touch is mink” meaning her blessing is soft, concealing, and expensive to attain.

Peryite “who’s foundation is falling rock” meaning his power is based in the same forces that move erosion and the passage of time. Incremental but nonetheless potent.

Azura “the rim of all holes” meaning her power is what facilitates transformation and dramatic change on a singular level. The movement of an object or being to dramatically different circumstances. A goddess of exodus and transmutation.

Meridia “who contains the plenum” meaning her sphere is one of wholeness and abundance. Something she offers at a high price.

Hermaeus Mora “who holds the paper to the light” meaning he reveals the hidden truths beneath the surface.

Sanguine “who tastes the shaven fruit” meaning he consumes mortals at their most vulnerable; when they’re inebriated or at the height of their pleasure.

Vaermina “weaver of the panoply” meaning she designs mortal delusions; the fantastical fears we react upon in reality.

vaermina redesign attempt #1

eso's vaermina design is extremely lackluster but I like the abstract mask they gave her. I tried to incorporate aspects of her skyrim art (the dragon shoulders), since her oblivion and daggerfall designs are criminally plain.

I also wanted to incorporate more characteristics of her mind terror daedra (since their design and animations are fantastic), but I can't find references of their movements/attacks: they've got good horror going on and I want to work more of that into vaermina herself. but for now I've settled with just giving her a face simillar to her horn-less mind terror daedra.

(also gave her too many fingers here and there)

The daedric princes fav videogames with little to no explanation:

Azura plays Minecraft but only on creative mode, and she creates aesthetic masterpieces.

Boethiah plays Call of Duty and every game she friendly fires.

Clavicus Vile likes literally any game that can curb his boredom, but in secret he plays Nintendo Dogs and will fiercely deny it if caught.

Hermaeus Mora plays TES games (and of course he knows all the lore).

Hircine isn’t big on video games, but he’s played Duck Hunt once or twice.

When asked his favorite video game, Jyggalag and Sheogorath both said Microsoft Excel but for different reasons.

Malacath tries to play Call of Duty, but Boethiah keeps one-shotting him whether he’s on her team or not.

Mehrunes Dagon’s frequently plays God of War, but his favorite video game is going onto Azura’s Minecraft server and destroying whatever she builds.

Everyone believes Mephala when she says she doesn’t play video games, but she’s really good at Assassin’s Creed.

Meridia plays the Sims 3, but in the way that every one of her sims’ lives is micromanaged perfectly and if even one accident happens she rage quits.

Molag Bal plays the Sims 3, but in the way that he puts his sims in pools and takes away the pool ladder.

Namira plays those online, independently created, super niche creepypasta games that try to trick you into thinking your computer’s been hacked.

Nocturnal plays Dark Souls/Elden Ring and she does a complete play through with no deaths on the first try.

Peryite plays Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator and he’s bad at it.

Sanguine started out playing otomes/dating sims ironically, but now he unironically loves them.

Vaermina isn’t partial to video games, but she doesn’t mind horror games like amnesia.

. . . Do I even need to explain this one? This would be like hiring the sweaty hooded guy you saw walking the streets at night to the liquor store with his pants sagging to his knees.

16. Namira

Expect to come home to your child made into a five-star filet mignon dish complete with garlic butter, a rosemary garnish, and a side of house salad. She'll probably infest your house with cockroaches too.

tl:dr snack time takes on a whole different meaning. And ew bugs

15. Vaermina

Your child won't face a terrible fate, but they'll still be permanently scarred from just one visit from her. They will be crying by the time you get back and refuse to go to bed that night. Or refuse to sleep for the rest of their life in general.

14. Mehrunes Dagon

Not the absolute worst, but definitely not good either. Believes in corporal punishment and he'd take it a tad bit too far. He'd rope your child into utterly trashing the house. They will also be very bratty towards you when you get back.

tl:dr bad influence and your child is definitely getting coal for Christmas that year

13. Mephala

She's one of those babysitters that somehow keeps getting hired even though she's bitter and clearly doesn't like children. She finds it funny when kids cry after she convinces them that you don't really love them. Unless you want your child to have long-lasting anxiety over whether you truly care about them, don't hire her.

tl:dr reason why at least 3 children she's babysat before have trust-issues now

12. Boethiah

Not as bad an influence as Dagon, but they'd probably let a 6 year old child handle knives and the stove without any supervision because they're "old enough to do things on their own". Also overly strict and would yell at your child for being too loud.

tl:dr a bit mean and believes survival of the fittest applies to children

11. Peryite

Pretty chill and not bad, but I still wouldn't risk the chance of your kid getting sick around him. You're at risk too since he doesn't wash his hands and he has touched every doorknob in your house. Also has no sense of hygiene so expect your child to be covered in dirt when you return.

10. Hircine

Good at setting up rules, but doesn't have much experience with children. Thinks children should be able to find their own food around the house for lunch. When you get home, he'll tell you that he left your kid behind at the nearby park they visited earlier because they can "find their own way back".

9. Malacath

Strict but you could say it's just "tough love". Doesn't hate children, but even so, he's pretty cold towards them. He'd rather watch TV the entire time and only interact with your child to feed them or tell them to do their homework. He would probably use corporal punishment too but not get carried away with it.

tl:dr your typical deadbeat orc dad

8. Meridia

She's one of those bossy babysitters that treats children like they're her personal servant. She'll probably demand your child to get her a drink or to turn on the TV for her even though the remote is in reach or to touch the beacon. At the very least, you can rely on her to just watch over your kid while you're away. Nothing more, nothing less.
