So, I’m seriously looking into getting into tall ship sailing (waiting on follow-up from an interview rn) and I’m wondering for getting into it more long-term -
what do people do after sailing tall ships? Like, it’s a pretty physical job, and I’d assume there’s a point where your joints just can’t keep up with it.
Are there other jobs in the industry that people move to? I’m not really keen on the idea of moving up in the ship’s hierarchy- admin and being someone’s boss both aren’t really my thing. Do people retrain in completely different careers? Go back to whatever they were doing before they started sailing?
Anyway, I know your sample size might not be super large so I’d appreciate anything. Thanks a bunch!
This is hard to answer directly - on the one hand sailing tall ships is such a niche industry that there are limited pathways for straightforward advancement. But on the other hand, it overlaps with such a large number of other industries, and requires such a jack of all trades skillset - tourism, carpentry, history and preservation, hospitality, marine electronics, etc. etc. etc. - that there's a lot of ways forward for what I guess I'd call lateral advancement: moving to another job which uses most of the same skills. So there's no one answer, but if it helps, here's some things my tall ship deckhand friends have ended up doing, after no longer deckhanding tallships:
Get a captain's license and keep sailing. Captains often have it a bit easier physically (balanced out by the mental stress lol), and are paid better. Owning your own boat is optional; plenty of companies hire captains by the season to sail the boat, while the management of the company is dealt with by the actual owners. (This is what I did! I don't have the sail-hauling arms I did as a deckhand, but my knees and bank account are both in better shape).
Bosun, first mate, engineer, some other specialized non-captain crew member, usually involves licensing or other education that's useful down the road if you switch to an adjacent career
Racing yachts
Captain for hire on private vessels
Outward bound guide, other wilderness education programs
Harbor cruises, lobster tour guides, and other motor-powered tourist boats, both as captain and as crew - you have the patter and the safety skills but you don't want to deal with the hassle of sails
Water taxis, ferries and other passenger vessels
Lobstering, fishing, aquaculture, tugboats, other non-tourist waterfront industries
Marine surveyor, marine electrician, other specialized technician
Working in a shipyard - good fit for all the fit-out skills of sanding, painting, varnishing, covering and uncovering the boat
Cruise ship hostess
Train conductor (the passion for the early 1900s carried over well)
Working at a a museum focused on local maritime history
Tour guide for local buses, walking tours, etc
Boatbuilder (IYRS, Wooden Boat School)
Teaching the captain's license courses (nota bene: there were obviously some other steps between deckhand and teacher, notably ten years of being a captain in between. But this is what they settled into when they decided sailing was too physically taxing, so I want to include it).
Carpentry, house painting
Designing and selling custom made van-homes (apart from the technical skills, living on board a ship helps familiarize making use of every square inch of space)
Sailmaker
Of course there's other friends who went on to try something completely new and unrelated - I think because so many of the people who start sailing tall ships are here for something completely new in the first place, that's not an intimidating prospect so much as an exciting one. But many of them did make use of tall ship skills even when moving on from tall ships, so I hope the above list is helpful in giving a broad sense of what can follow!

The Thousand Of Us
Genre: Superpowers/Post-Apocalyptic/ Sci-fi
Story plot:
Your story begins at what everyone largely saw as the end of the world. There was a bright flash that illuminated the night sky so brightly, it was identical to day as thousands of missiles in a last-ditch effort to save mankind collided with a ginormous asteroid entering our atmosphere.
You wake up two years later and find out that the crisis was averted, but a new crisis of similar proportions was created. The asteroid was carrying a never-before-seen element, mixed with the radiation that bathed the earth. It created a chain of genetic mutations that wiped out nearly the entire population of the planet and put every other living being in hibernation for two years.
For starters all adults are dead, only a thousand people 18 years of age and below around the globe survived, and the thousand of you that survived, wake up to discover that you each now have unique powers. The only problem is that you’re not the only ones that same phenomenon gave powers, also mutated every other living organism on the planet to varying degrees and they were also in hibernation for as long as you are, so they have about 2 years worth of hunger to satiate.
Would you focus on Survival and Rebuilding? or would you try to Unite or Conquer other groups of teenagers to form a more powerful force against the threats you face? Would you try to Find a Cure or Solution by striving to find a way to reverse the mutations in animals and restore the planet to its former state? or would you struggle in Navigating Moral Choices? You could Uncover Hidden Powers or struggle to Establish a Safe Haven for you and your group.
Features:
Play as Male/Female/non-binary and customize your appearance and personality.
You can select one out of a long list of abilities, ranging from just flight to insane regenerative abilities to even earth-shaking strength or even necromancy.
Struggle to stay alive as you do not just have to watch out for mutated plants, animals, and even crazy weather conditions, but also have to watch out for other humans who seek to conquer and lead the rest of the survivors with their terrifying abilities.
You get to choose your MC’s demeanor and how you react to situations. You can be cold and calculative or you could be shy and reserved.
Most involved characters are up to 18 & older including the MC.
Hidden pathways will be made available based on certain choices made within the book that will reveal new endings and shape the LIs future just try to explore this new world.
There might be some explicit scenes but if there are you’ll have the option to fade to black. Mild gore might be unavoidable and there would definitely (depending on your choices though) be death scenes.
Every different power is a different route to explore.
Romantic Interest:
I’m gonna try to make this relatable so no definite number yet but nearly every person you encounter, depending on your interaction and relationship with them can be romanced by your MC.
MC can romance male/female/non-binary characters.
I would also create LIs that exist outside of the MC to showcase that the MC’s involvement in their life created a change within them.
Polyamory possible.
Also ace/aro routes possible.
Current Word count: 202,095 (without code) and 1,187,537 (with code)
😂Code is pretty beefed up because I want to branch this out as much as possible so you have the liberty to make whatever choice you desire and live with the consequences.

Carol Danvers x Reader : Wherever You Are
Summary: Going the extra mile for your girlfriend is never a problem. Covers the ‘Flannel PJs’ square of Holiday Bingo.
Warnings: None
Word Count: 1k
* * * * * * * *
With a smile, you grab the bag off the counter, and say,“ Thank you so much. Have a wonderful night.”
The shop owner returns the sentiment, thanking you for your patronage as you leave the shop and step onto the pathway. Just like when you came in, the sky is painted brilliant shades of purple, blue, and pink. Jellyfish shaped clouds are scattered about as the smoky pink moon shines its light.
Pulling your hood up, you begin your walk down the wooden, bridge-like pathways that are suspended above the ground. The alien city is practically split in two levels, the ground floor connected by stairs which you take down and head to the ship.
You landed on this planet with your girlfriend the other day as she received a message from an old friend of hers who needed her help and while she handled her business, you were off on a mission of your own.
It’s been almost three years since you and Carol were back on Earth and you could see the toll it was taking on your girlfriend. At first she was fine, obviously missing family but she wasn’t too down as she believed she’d be back soon enough. However, as it usually plays out, she gets caught up in being a hero, saving lives and the like, and gets so far out in the universe that she loses track of time.
Still, she eventually feels the effects of the distance between her and the people she calls family. Almost a week ago, the sadness she felt over being away nearly doubled as she realized that Christmas was literally two days away.
She had missed so much time with Monica and Fury already, so many holidays, and she now was more than fond of Kamala Khan. Her wish was to be on Earth, participating in cheesy, cliche traditions with her family and instead she was millions of lightyears away.
That night, while she thought you were sleeping, she’d broken down. Her soft sobs filled the silence of the ship and broke your heart in two.
At the time you let her have her personal moment since being locked on a ship with someone doesn’t grant much of that. While you didn’t say anything to her at the moment, you promised yourself that you’d do everything you could to make her feel even a fraction better than she did. Which is why your exploring yesterday and your shopping today was so important.
Now, with the necessary supplies, you boarded the ship and got to work, knowing Carol would be preoccupied until much later in the day.
A good hour or so later and the ship was, in your opinion, a masterpiece.
Having used the materials you were able to find and scrounge together, you made the ship as festive as you possibly could.
Some makeshift tinsel was hung about with multi-colored lights attached. Handmade ornaments and more lights decorate the little Christmas tree you and Carol acquired last year. Stacked beside it are a few wrapped presents. Lastly, hanging from the ceiling, are custom mistletoes, your favorite part.
Knowing Carol was likely on her way back, you dimmed the main lights in the ship, turned on the multicolored ones, and pulled on a pair of pajamas. The warm, comfy, red flannel pants complimented with one of Carol’s band shirts set the perfect vibe and you made sure to set a matching outfit on the bed for her.
With all the craziness that accompanies space travel Carol is always more than thrilled to come back to you. The ship had become her safe space but with you there it became home and she quickly realized that her home was always wherever you are.
She couldn’t describe how she felt having your arms to fall into after a long day but this, coming back to a fully decorated ship and you standing in the middle of it, mug of hot chocolate in hand with a smile on your face, multiplied that feeling.
“What is all this?” Her question follows her stepping further onto the ship, eyes drifting over every square inch in an impressed manner.
“This,” you emphasize with a few steps closer to her,“ is the beginning of a very Merry Christmas.”
Shoulders sagging and a sigh falling from her lips, she looks at you with pure adoration and love in her eyes.“ Y/n, baby, you did not have to do all this.”
“I know I didn’t have to, but I wanted to.”
You set the mug on a nearby table, then pull her into a hug with your arms around her neck. The blonde doesn’t hesitate to reciprocate the embrace, her own arms wounding around your waist to pull you even closer. Her warm breath fanned across your neck and you could tell your gesture made her a little emotional from the way said breath stuttered ever so slightly.
After a moment you speak.“ I know how much you wish you could be on Earth and I know how much it sucks to not be surrounded by the people you love, especially this time of year, but I wanted today to be as special for you as it could be.”
“Y/n,” she practically whimpers, holding you tighter.“ I-” Her words are cut off by choked sob.
“Please don’t cry, babe.” You whisper, feeling tears of your own gathering at your waterline.“ You mean the world to me so doing this was nothing. I just- I want you happy, always.”
Slipping away just a little, her hands cup your cheeks and teary brown eyes lock with yours.“ I love you so much.” She says, a tear escaping that you’re quick to swipe away.“ You make me so happy. The fact that you did all of this just adds to the already infinite reasons why I love you.”
“Well I love you too. As long as you know that every day that we’re together, I’m happy.”
She rapidly blinks away the tears in her eyes, sniffling a little before she pulls you into an intense kiss. Gentle hands slip up into your hair to hold you close, even after it becomes a little hard to breathe.
Eventually though, you part, dorky grins on both your faces. Despite trying to fight them off, a few more tears had fallen down her cheeks.
Softly squeezing her waist you tell her,“ I do have a few gifts for you but you're only allowed to open them after you put your PJs on.” She giggles at your words, eyes rolling playfully.
Before she can respond however, the familiar tune of her ship receiving an incoming call sounds through the space.
“Oh, that’s your first gift, hurry up and go change.” You lightly pat her butt, rushing over to sit and accept the call.
“Wh- what gift do you have-”
“Go change and come find out, Danvers.” Fury’s voice sounds from the call, followed by the familiar sounds of Monica and Kamala laughing.
Carol’s jaw drops slightly, tears welling up in her eyes again as she looks at you.“ You’re so getting a ring on your finger.”
Heat rushes onto your face at the looks you receive from Nick, Monica, and Kamala and you can do nothing but grin like an idiot.

Introduction - Midnights of the Drowsy Owl
Tumblr media
Interactive Fiction - Midnights of the Drowsy Owl
Demo (TBD)
Description
When the city life takes everything from you, you leave for a house you inherited from your late grandparents, in a town far away from the troubles of life: Caersolvita.
While strolling through the little town of Caersolvita after job hunting during the odd hours of nights, the old clock in the quaint settlement strikes 12 midnight, and a building down the dirt road illuminates the twilight.
Beads of light fall like stardust through the coffee-scented building. No one knows about it, and even if they did, they cannot find it. When midnight strikes, it all changes. Down the bricked pathway of the town, life clicks into light, and the twinkles of windchimes carry a bitter fragrance.
A “Looking to Hire!” board stands neatly by the doormat of the slightly tarnished place. With little hope of finding a job anytime soon, you enter the cafe. When offered a trainee position of a barista, you leave for home, unknowing of the wonders that await you when the dead hours of night come about.
Features
Choose your gender: female, male, non-binary
Work at a quaint café in a rural town, shrouded in mystery and solitude.
Unravel the secrets of the midnight café.
Romance one of the four ROs and explore a fresh adventure with one of the three personalities chosen.
Deal with some snappy customers or different oddities.
Find out the history of Caersolvita through each route.
Enjoy the life of quietude and comfort, away from the worries of life.
Personalities: Loveable airhead, Taciturn fool, Sarcastic charmer
Romances
Thana (f/m)
Beautiful and dignified, Thana is the peculiar owner of the Drowsy Owl. Behind the mysterious red eyes and snowy pale skin, discipline of the body and grace follows each tilt of the wrist, where the whiffs of coffee beans stream along the cafe.
Admired by everyone in Caersolivita for sublime service, coupled by sweet words, Thana is the go to barista if someone is in need for comfort or dark humor. Although the sorry state of the cafe, it is the first choice for everyone.
With every smile given to Thana, two more are returned, and each heart that is offered, the more Thana guards the heart. Somehow, though, the trainee barista has a way with their words.
Ylfa (f)
Unhinged. There is no other word that fits the young wolf-like Ylfa. A sherpherdess along the hillside of Caersolvita, she meets each situation with the flash of her canines and a huff. With a beige bonnet, laced around the edges, she fancies the lolita fashion, enjoying lavish dresses, contrary to her rambunctious voice.
In the dead of night, a voice like a siren vying for love sings from northern cliff at the very edge of the town. From the ruffled hair and perky ears of the gilded in moonlight, the sound willows past till dawnbreak.
Despite the tough and rowdy personality, Ylfa holds her hands close to her chest, sometimes shooting glances towards the trainee barista from the day they met eyes.
Idris (m)
Personal trainer by day, guardsman by night. Idris is often described as "too blunt for his own good." Towering over everyone in town, he is regarded as a dark warrior, a signature black hood hanging over his defined face. Polite and well-spoken, his sharp tongue still manages to overshadow such traits.
By the bridge that connects the mainland to the hook-shaped cliffside town, Idris guards the safety of the people. Always seen next to the old watchtower, most hear grunts from the place, running away in fear.
When he bumped his head against the door of Drowsy Owl, he meets gaze with the trainee barista, and color rose-pink erupts from the steely brown eyes.
Shaylah (nb)
Always smelling like honey and floral concoctions, Shaylah is a local apocthecary who resides near the very edge of the cliff. Catching eyes everywhere they go, their sterling red hair shines like the sun under light. Always seen walking around town with a sunhat the size of an umbrella, Shaylah's ethereal voice wrecks the minds of people when their brash and uncouth words begin to lash out.
Spending the afternoon and night cooped up in their house, they take the blue flowers on the cliff, grinding them and creating concoctions. No one outside of the town know what it truly is, and only Shaylah's family know of it.
After spending a full day in their shop, taking rest at midnight by Drowsy Owl is usually what happens, accompanied by a cup of hibiscus tea. But now, where the bright eyes of the trainee barista caught them off guard, they never forgot.

A Little Surprise
Tumblr media
Atsumu takes you on a little arcade date, but your little surprise is certainly more entertaining.
Pairing: Dominant! Atsumu Miya x Female!Readee
Warnings: 18+ Sexual content, swearing
There was too much to look at. Rows of machines burst with an array of neon cyan and pink, while glowing screens bombarded your view with every other colour. Polished floors lined the narrow pathway that was surprisingly scarce of customers on a Sunday evening. Your hand was cosily interlocked with Atsumu, his large hand easily swallowing yours. You squinted in the low light, searching through the claw machines that line the right side of the arcade, yellow plush Pikachus and the harsh blue of Sonic commandeered most of them. A few teens stood huddled in the back, yells belching out through the arcade as you watched them race against each other, your legs tensing for them at how close the race came.
On your way out, you linked your fingers with Atsumu once again. Your arms brushing against each other. Stepping out into the bitter evening chill, the small child within you could no longer be held back.
“Squirtle!” You tugged him back, letting go to put your hand on the icy glass. “They hardly ever have him! And he’s the last one!” You turned to face Atsumu, your lips already pouting.
“It’s three degrees… and you want me to play on the one machine that's outside?” His expression was deadpan.
You chewed your lower lip. “Please?”
Atsumu sighed, loudly, dragging his feet as he came to join you. He held his hand out and you placed the slippery cold coin into his palm. Although he seemed reluctant at the start, Atsumu had become more and more determined, jabbing at the buttons and slamming his foot against the machine when the claw would drop the desired prize. Thirty minutes had gone by and he hadn’t even noticed that you slipped away, returning with two cups of warm coco.
“Here.” You grinned.
He blankly accepted, his concentration never wavering. He took a quick slurp and tried his luck again.
Realising that he was likely in this for the long haul you take it as another chance to look around, hoping to find something to surprise him with in return.
You felt a little bad, as your mind wandered back to the boy outside the arcade, but you’d hope your trip wouldn’t take more than fifteen minutes, your legs carrying you through the busy bustling Tokyo streets. Your eyes went wide, staring up at the seven-story building, the windows filled with a collection of undergarments that caused your pink cheeks to glow red. Your feet carried you from floor to floor, and to be honest with yourself there was at least one item on each floor that made your eyebrow raise at the thought of Osamu in the bedroom. You laughed at the different options available - dildos in the shapes of carrots or eggplants, leather catsuits and corsets all making you envious of the mannequins.
Interestingly, you found yourself scanning over the collars. The lewd thoughts in your head are already running wild. Not overthinking it, you grab a few more items to make the night more enjoyable, but as you go back to the counter your attention is brought to the colourful selection of vibrators. A display advertising a small curved pink one. Tucking your bottom lip between your teeth, you reach for a box, keeping the newly bought items close to you as you make your way back.
You had taken longer than you expected, your phone reading quarter-to-nine. You’d been nearly an hour. Your heart pounded in your chest. Why hadn’t he called? Did he think you left him?
Just when you thought your heart had stopped, you heard a bellowing cheer. Followed by the familiar smile beaming at the slightly disfigured blue turtle. His eyes sparkled, and you couldn’t help but smile at the childish grin of self-satisfaction that plastered his face.
“I knew I’d get it!”
You blinked up at him, taking a few steps forward.
“You’ve been at this for nearly two hours.” You squeaked.
He handed you his winnings, but before you could take it he pulled it back, pushing his face closer to it.
“Well I can see why no one wanted him,” he turned it towards you pointing at the toy's face, “it looks like it’s had half its face melted,” he turned it back to himself, “and then went ten rounds with Bakugo.”
You snatch it from him, your face contorting when you get to inspect it yourself. “Oh god.”
“I’ll see if they can switch him out for a new one.” Atsumu went to take it back but you pulled it into your neck, scowling at him.
“No!”
He holds his hand out, his face serious. “Give it.”
You shake your head.
“Y/n!”
You shook your head faster, taking a step backwards.
His face softened before he tried to resume his composure. He wiggled his hand, silently repeating his original question.
“It gives him character!” You protested.
He caved, turning his hand to invite you to take it. You did, immediately retracting.
“Oh my god, they’re freezing!”
Placing your gift under your arm, you take his hands in yours, pulling them back towards the arcade machine to get out of the way of the crowded space. His hands were lightly pressed between yours, his skin red but incredibly soft. Atsumu couldn’t hide how happy he was in that moment, his eyes tentatively watching each movement. Everything seemed to disconnect, his world solely consumed by just you and him.
“What?” You giggled, glancing from his hands. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
You were sure it was just the winter breeze but the tips of his ears burnt a deep red.
His voice was low. “You know I have another way to warm these up?”
You tilted your head, your eyes narrow with confusion and curiosity, but they quickly changed when you felt the freezing tips of his fingers sneak up your shirt. His icy claws clamping either side of your waist. You gasped. A breathy squeal escaping your lips as you wiggled out his grip. Atsumu bared a toothy-grin, his hands slapping on to his knees as he hunched over.
“That’s not funny,” you attempted to hide your own laughter and slapping his shoulder. Atsumu pulled you close to him, your chest now flush against his, “they’re so cold!”
“That’s what happens when you spend two hours in three degree weather trying to get the girl you love what she wants.”
He goes to kiss you, but you pull your head back, your hands gripping his biceps tighter. Your eyes searched his, wondering if you had misheard him.
Your voice was weak. “What did you say?”
He raised his brow, only one. “That - that’s what happens when you-”
“No. The last part.” You smiled, moving his hair to the side.
“You mean me trying to get the girl I love, the creepy ass teddy she wanted?”
Your smile grows wider. “Yeah. That bit.”
“You like the sound of that, huh?”
You hummed in agreement, slowly bringing your lips towards his. You could feel yourself melting away until the sudden stark cold feeling had snuck its way onto your back. You slapped his shoulder.
“Stop it! Here!” You unzipped his coat, “how do you like it?” You pressed your hands onto his stomach, his muscles contracting from the cold. He let out a small puff of air, but his composure never wavered.
“Not sure this was what you were going for, but it’s just making me want to take my clothes off.”
“Oh really?” An evil temptation ran through your mind. “Well, then maybe you’ll want what I went to get you then.”
Keeping your hand where it was, you hand him the bag with your free hand. Briefly checking over your shoulder you position yourself so only you can be seen from the street.
“What is it?” He asked.
“Take a look, but don’t pull anything out.”
Curiosity peaked in his eyes as you watched him open the bag, his eyes almost bulging out his head. He frantically searched around him, clearly paranoid of any prying eyes.
You watched his Adam's apple move sharply and he cleared his throat. “W-Where did you...erm. When?”
“While you were getting this guy.” You pulled the toy out from under your arm, placing him into the bag. Your eyes flit down his body, your hand stil against his skin.
Usually you would be a lot more modest, but the way he looked at you just made you throb between your legs. You slowly dragged your fingers down, stopping just at the waist of his trousers.
“Careful doll. Someone might think I've corrupted you.” He smirked, pulling you closer to him.
Reaching up to his ear, your hand makes its own way to the zip of his pants.
“Then why don’t you discipline me?”
Getting in a more comfortable position, you pressed your palm against his bulge. Atsumu leant his head back, a white fog releasing from his mouth. The sight of relief causes a smirk to twitch on your face and you remove your hand. Attempting to compose himself, Atsumu grabbed your arm and dragged you to the nearest taxi, throwing you in.
The low lights made it easier for your hands to wander to Atsumu’s thigh, not allowing him to return the favour. Leaning across, you press your lips to his, the pressure a lot rougher than usual and your hands dip into his pocket, taking his phone out. He looked at you curiously.
“Unlock it.”
His hand cautiously took it from you, the screen lighting up the dark uber. Atsumu’s gaze was hard, though you were sure it was more fear than confusion. You chose to take your time, carefully setting up your little surprise further. Turning your head to the side, you pass the phone back to him.
“What did you do?” He asked.
Silently, you lean forward, pulling one of the boxes out the bag and placing it in his lap.
“Really?” His voice was just above a whisper.
Confirming his suspicions you take his hand in yours, directing it to the top of your trousers. Your fingers dancing around the drawstrings and loosening them.
“Check for yourself.” You instructed.
Atsumu lifted the top of your shirt, allowing his fingers to creep down to your wet laced underwear. His hand lingered there longer than necessary to check, his fingers were still cold, the tips grazing back up and out of your trousers. He took his phone out his lap, the app you were last on already open.
Unsure if he had figured out how to use it, you were pleasantly surprised by the sudden vibration between your legs. A small hum bounced in the car, your eyes glancing between Atsumu and the blissfully unaware driver. Moving into the middle seat, you placed your head on his shoulder, his hand firmly gripping your thigh.
Facing forward, you kept your gaze on the road but your mind was anywhere but. Your hand snaked its way up his toned thigh, his hot length rock hard. Atsumu let out a low grunt at the feeling of your touch on him. With one simple ‘pop’ his button came undone, the zip already down from earlier.
His breath was hot on your ear. “When we get back, I’m making use of everything you bought.”
You turned to face him, glancing at his lips. “Everything?”
“Everything.”
His thumb slid up his phone, the pleasurable constant turning into an overwhelming euphoria.
“Lean into me.”
You gladly accept. Taking the collar of his coat in your mouth, attempting to muffle your moans that were adamant to escape. You started to move your hand softly up and down along his clothed length but his hand gently laid on top of yours.
“I’m not going to be able to last long if you do that, doll.”
You could also feel yourself becoming undone, your hips moving backwards and forward on their own as your body searches for a way to relieve itself.
“Does it feel good?”
Your slow rhythm begins to speed up, your mind aching for his cock to be between your legs. Nuzzling your face deeper into his neck, his scent is the final tipping point. Your senses seem lost as your legs shake, the knot in your stomach coming undone in your underwear. A shiver racks through your drained body, your weight pressed against Atsumu.
“I take that as a yes.”
You hadn’t noticed the car was pulling up to the familiar campus surrounding. Atsumu signalled you to get your stuff and you both quickly scampered out the vehicle, both trying to find some money to pay with.
You barely made it into your apartment before you were stripping each other and your clothes leave a cliche trail to your bedroom. Warm tingles spread through you as Atsumu messes with his phone, the shock causing you to stumble. He steadied you.
“Get this out and fuck me already.” You begged, a little too desperately.
Atsumu cupped your face, stroking his thumb over your cheek. “Patience, doll.”
You watched as Atsumu left you, the vibrator almost slipping out from how slick you were, your legs slightly squeezing together. Taking the collar out from the bag, he motioned you to the bed and you obliged.
“Are you going to cum for me?” He took the collar, the cold leather lightly slapping you as he dragged it down your bare chest, “Are you going to cum all over my dick?”
The way he commanded the room had you tranced. Your mind was intoxicated with the thought of him. Atsumu let out a low chuckle and crawled to you on the bed, your body moving backwards. Your hands lifted your hair, the collar wrapping securely around your neck, the lead dangling between your breasts. Atsumu leans down and pressed wet kisses against your chest, trailing up to your lips. His hips fit comfortably in front of your dripping cunt, his dick begging to get past your pink obstruction.
“Please…” Your voice was weak.
“Please what doll?”
“Fuck me… please....”
Not wasting anymore time, his hand relieved you from the overstimulating pleasure. Atsumu fumbled with your draw, quickly opening a condom and rolling it down his shaft. His hand pumped a few times before his body came down into you, his dick sliding in with little resistance. Your hands clasped his biceps, his strong muscles sturdy under the pressure as he thrusted deep inside you. It didn’t take long for his kiss to turn desperate, his hand moving gently to grab at your collar as he pushes himself backup. The explicit sounds of skin slapping skin filled your apartment, you both breathed heavy and the look in Atsumu’s eyes could only be described as feral lust.
He pulled out of you, laying flat on the bed and taking the lead in his hand. He fit perfectly inside you as you rode his dick, your hips grinding back and forth.
“Come closer.”
You looked at him confused, but Atsumu wasn’t happy with that. Before you could answer, you feel the firm tug around your neck, the leather lead wrapping around his forearm. Your chest fell to his, you both face to face as he bucked his hips up into you.
“Sorry, I can’t wait.”
“It’s okay.”
He braced his arms around you, twisting you over as the warm sheet contrasted your cold clammy skin, though it was short lived when Atsumu’s hands gripped your ankles, your stomach now pressed against the sheets. The collar slid around your neck, and Atsumu began fucking you deep. His dick reached further and further as he plowed into you. His thrusts were anything but tender, the sloppy actions causing you to almost see stars.
Atsumu’s mind shot to the little pink helper, his free hand taking it and pressing it against your clit. The stimulation being almost too much.
“Shit. Yes… I think I’m gonna cum!”
“Shit, I’m almost there too!”
Atsumu’s grip tightens on your lead, your head forced backwards as you try and resist. The lack of oxygen, causing the last of your sanity to dissipate as your body begins to shake. Atsumu felt your walls spasm around him and watching you choke yourself only made the lewd fantasies in his head run wild. At his own limit he knocked into you a few more times, releasing your leash to grip your waist, his fingers digging in just enough to not mark.
Your torso dropped forward, Atsumu doing the same. The exhaustion was evident in the way you both slowly slid down the bed.
“You’re really heavy.” You spoke.
“I’m eighty killograms of pure muscle, what do you expect?”
“Yeah, well you’re squishing my tits!”
He rolled off, wriggling his arm underneath you. Mustering up the last of your strength you shuffle closer to him.
“We need to shower.” You stated, drawing a small circle on his chest.
“Five minutes.” He cooed, causing you to nuzzle closer to his chest.
“Two.”
“Deal.”

My Trip to Japan! ⛩️ Part 3
16.12
We had breakfast as soon as service started at 6:30, and then went to take the Shinkansen to Kyoto. The trip lasted just under an hour, and we arrived at 8:30. It was an adventure to get out. It would take us a day and a half to figure out the right way to move around the gigantic Kyoto station without getting trapped like a rat in a maze. We left the suitcases at the hotel, conveniently located just opposite the station, and went straight to Kinkaku-ji, the temple of the Golden Pavillion. The titlepavillion is one of several that make up the temple, though none as spectacular. The gardens were a delight. We had matcha tea at the temple's tea house, with a very tasty sweet bearing the pavillion’s outline and a touch of gold leaf.
Tumblr media
We continued to the next temple, Ryō-An-ji. I liked this one a lot; it has a large stone Zen garden that invites contemplation... until the school outing arrives and misaligns all your chakras. On the way out, I bought a beautiful maiko doll for my niece, and we had a butaman, a very fluffy bread ball filled with pork. Very tasty.
Next on the itinerary was Ninna-ji, with an impressive monumental gate and a cherry blossom promenade that must be a dream during hanami season. Ninna-ji is an extensive complex, with many pavilions and a five-story pagoda. It was already 1 pm so we took a cute vintage train to Arashiyama, where we had some delicious sobaforlunch, looked at shops, and peeked at the Katsura River before attacking the fourth temple of the day, UNESCO World Heritage Site like the other 3: Tenryū-ji. This was the one that caught my attention the least (or maybe I was already saturated), but next to it ther’s the bamboo forest. You don't enter the forest proper, which is fenced, but walk through a pathway opened between the canes. Still, the height, greenery, and coverage of the bamboo canopy are impressive. You could hear the crackling of the canes hitting each other.
Tumblr media
On the way back to the train, we happened to pass by a Shinto shrine in the middle of the bamboo forest, Nonomiya jinja, beautiful in its simplicity. Imperial princesses came here to purify themselves for at least a year before going to the Ise Shrine to ervve there on behalf of the emperor. Even if the custom ended in the 14th century, Nonomiya shrine still enjoys the favor of the imperial family.
In the evening we strolled a bit through the picturesque Gion district at night, had dinner, and went to bed for the next early rising.
17.12.
We got up at six sharp to go to the world-famous Fushimi Inari-taisha, the “shrine of the thousand torii” (ritual gates). We missed the train we wanted to take, lost in the mega-station, but we still arrived in time to start well before the hordes of visitors arrived. Even before entering, I witnessed something that gave a hint of how special this place is: while we were have breakfast in front of the konbini opposite the main entrance, a taxi stopped, the driver got out, prayed facing the temple right there on the tarmac, and continued his route.
Tumblr media
The shrine was founded in the 8th century, dedicated, like the mountain where it sits, to Inari, the Shinto deity of rice, agriculture, and business, whose messenger animal is the fox. Therefore, fox-shaped statuettes are omnipresent on the altars spread all about the mountain. We went in, toured the different halls, and started the climb up Mount Inari along the torii-lined path. These gates are erected as votive offerings; the large ones, like the ones along the path, can cost as much as a luxury car, so they usually come from companies, but many minor shrines hold small, smaller, tiny, keychain-sized torii gates. Throughout the mountain, there are literally thousands of shrines: new and old, luxurious or very humble, alone or in groups, next to the path or hidden in the forest, pristine or claimed by nature.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Regardless of each person’s beliefs, Fushimi Inari has more than earned its sacred mountain status. Its atmosphere is tremendously spiritual. Even as I write this I get emotional, as I recall the overwhelming feeling that gripped me most of the way, despite the growing number of people appearing as the day progressed.
After leaving the shrine, we ate some takoyaki on the go and went to the center, to Nishiki Market, a covered street with very nice shops, especially food ones. I stopped at one which had all kinds of beautiful things, had my loot, and when I got to the cash point, the old lady took all her time to perfectly wrap the humble set of Hina dolls that I had bought. Position, bag, box, bag… I legit felt like Alan Rickman in Love Actually when Mr. Bean wraps the gift for his lover. Three times I told her she didn’t need to peel the price tags, as everything was for myself. Forget it, the price tag must go. We ate some more takoyaki to complete lunch at a place that only sells that. The basic ones were ¥280 (€1.90) for 6. In Europe, they charge you €5 for 4 balls. After eating, we went to Ginkaku-ji, the Silver Pavilion, with beautiful gardens and not as crowded as the golden one (spoiler: it's not covered in silver. That was the idea, but it never materialized).
We went down a little street that borders a canal called "The Philosopher's Path". A very bucolic and pleasant stroll, with a lot of green, traditional houses and hardly any shops, just art galleries or craft workshops. The last temple of the day was Eikan-do. Larger than we anticipated, it’s set within lush gardens and is beautiful: its many pavillions include a pagoda and a curved staircase nicknamed "sleeping dragon." Next to these stairs stands the three-needle pine, whose needles grow in groups of three, not two. It’s said to symbolize the virtues of wisdom, mercy, and sincerity. And that if you get a pine needle like that, you will be blessed with all three. Unfortunately, with everything being so clean, there was none within my reach.
Tumblr media
⬆️ I haven't talked much about shopping so far, because the truth is there was hardly any AoT merchandise anywhere. These on the picture above are the only items they had at the Kyoto Animate store: One (1) chibi Levi clearfile; random manga volumes; One (1) Ereh acrylic stand and One (1) Levi one but it was teen Levi, not looking hot; and a "surprise" box with some chibi stuff but I'm certainly NOT spending 880¥ in a surprise. That's it. Neither Donki nor the discount place opposite had jackshit.
We had dinner on the 11th floor of the train station. Kyoto Station's building is a monster of engineering; the north hall rises ten floors above street level and includes a monumental staircase with LED colors on the risers that play with lights and even reproduce entire videos in full color (we saw the trailer for the latest Disney movie); on that side, there’s a huge department store, of which the last two floors are food courts: the 10th floor is only ramen restaurants, and the 11th floor has a bit of everything. We had beef tongue, a favourite of mine. After dinner, we went to the Sky Gallery, a walkway emerging from the 10th floor, with  panoramic views of the station and the city.
18.12.
We woke up early and had breakfast at the hotel buffet, supposedly "western style," which turned out to be a hit-and-miss, not so much because of the Japanese version of what you can find at a buffet in Europe or the US, but because many of those dishes were cold, when they’re eaten warm in the West.
We started the day at Kiyomizu-dera, very spacious, with a clarity inside the temple that I hadn't seen in other Buddhist shrines. The impressive views over the city from its balcony supported by a structure of 13-meter-high wooden pillars are noteworthy. We walked down, looking at shops in Gion (there was a Ghibli shop here too!) and then we looked for an early lunch, as we had booked a kimono tea ceremony at one.
Tumblr media
The buildig where the tea house operates is a registered cultural property. They dressed me in a kimono for me: an underrobe, tied with a ribbon (which straightens your back), the kimono itself, tied wit another ribbon, a plate to hold the obi (sash) in place, and the obi. They did my hair, and I proceeded to the salon, where Husband was already waiting for me looking like a full-fledged samurai. We were in a group of 8: us, an Australian couple about our age, and an Asian-American family of dad, mom, and two teenage children. Luckily, everyone was motivated and respectful of the place and the ritual.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After the hostess showed the entire process, she taught us how to whisk the matcha, and we enjoyed our tea (the traditional way is that everyone takes turns drinking from the same cup, but since the pandemic, each one gets their own bowl). Previously, we tasted sweets. One of them was a kind of dumpling filled with anko that blew my mind. It's called yatsuhashi and is a Kyoto specialty. The hostess wrote the name on a piece of paper for me and everything, but... My joy was short-lived, as when I went to buy it, the expiration date was quite short, so I could only got a small package to eat as soon as we returned home. Once the ceremony was over, we took photos at will in the house garden before returning the kimono.
In the afternoon we went to Nijo Castle, with impressive paintings on the door panels and exquisite marquetry on the lintels and ceilings. The historical significance of this castle is enormous, as it was the place wher the Tokugawa shogunate, better known as the Edo era, both began and ended. After the castle and more walking around the city centre, we had dinner and dragged ourselves back to the hotel, exhausted, and prepared everything to go to Nara the next day.
