imagine you have an influencer bestie who works for his dad and ur a huge fan of his dad's work and have supported him forever but now he has like 1k followers and has let the fame get to his head a little. you are also in love with him. at the beggining it seemed like he liked you back but now he's been hanging out with this girl who's been cancelled and spending a lot of time with her, so you're like nooo it will harm your reputation! and he says idgaf. so you're angry because why does he have so many followers and lives off his daddy's name with no consequences??? suddenly an enemy group of influencers offer you money to reveal his passwords so they can hack into his account and delete it, this way they can be the most popular influencers. you think about it and decide it's for the greater good, perhaps this way your friend can finally be free from influencer fame and go back to his roots. he finds out about it and confronts you but it's weird because it sounds like he wants you to do it... perhaps it means he wants to be free as well? does he have the same feelings? you really miss him so you go ahead with it. also you kiss him (changing the trajectory of your lives forever). after that you give him space for a bit. turns out the enemy group of influencers aren't going to just delete his account, they're going to blackmail ur bestie and post humilliating shit on his profile, and this time his daddy isn't helping him out. so you come back and your friend is absolutely depressed, looks like shit, his posts are full of hate comments, everyone wants him to die. the guilt overtakes you so you go to a really high building and start screaming about how you love him and now you're angry at his dad because if he hadn't given his son the job then none of this would've happened. then you kill yourself. well, this happened to my buddy judas.

I really despise the Marvelification of Stranger Things, because all the interviews nowadays are constantly referencing how fast paced and epic and big the finale will be but the reason people fell in love with the show wasn't special effects or long episodes; it was the plot, it was the characters, it was the mystery. Stranger Things 1 may have been a story about a government conspiracy and a monster, but that's not why we stuck around. The show can throw amazing CGI, Russians, a battle within the American army and an apocalypse at the audience with the biggest budget known to man but if they forget to ground it and keep it central, it'll just get lost amongst a plethora of other "epic" blockbusters. We want Steven King, not Avengers.

Another one of the Peeta moments that rot in my brain constantly is the scene in catching fire when Katniss and Finnick get stuck with the Jabberjays.

Peeta had his hands pressed against the force field, trying so so hard to be there for her and wanting so badly to protect her. And when it finally ended he held her, and rocked her, and let her hide her face in his arms, and protected her for as long as she needed him to and…..that’s just so ughhhh….so heartbreakingly sweet.

The most common argument you'll hear against self diagnosis is that people will fake being [X] for attention. But every disabled person, physical or otherwise, knows this could only work in online spaces - the world was not made for us, and brandishing your disability as a badge of honor that gives you ~special privileges~ is such a funny idea.

Like, honey - that doesn't happen. No one gets anything from being disabled. Maybe extra accommodations if you're lucky - but nothing else. And the internet isn't as important as you seem to think - eventually it just feels hollow.

Ask disabled people how often they had to fight to get diagnosed so their medical needs could be met and their complaints would be heard. Doctors are just hardwired to delay this as much as possible.

I knew I was autistic since late 2018 - I got an official diagnosis 4 months ago. Knowing yourself and how you can make your own life easier is a lifesaver.

And this isn't even going into how many *cons* there are to a professional diagnosis, like being met with disdain at most and denied services at worst.

I don't care if a 16 year old who self diagnosed after taking 1 online quiz about autism is wrong. And honestly I think it's weird people treat this 'issue' with so much hatred.
