If you ask a doctor prescribing you psychotropic medications for a mental illness to explain their mechanism of action they won’t be able to give you a complete explanation, but they work by exciting or inhibited certain neurotransmitter receptors in your brain. Having certain neurotransmitter receptors inhibited or excited 24/7 by medicated or non-medicated mental illness causes you to lose your ability to reason enough to limit your choices of reactions to the environmental changes around you and to not be able to use your free will. You then make decisions based on the most attention grabbing advertisements and their relationship with your desires. Since your brain is an antenna and there are wireless signals all around you, you can eventually completely lose your ability to exercise free will and act or react based on certain wireless data packets in wireless signals surrounding you based on how they stimulate you. Since mental illness is the result of bias this causes more and more reactive and biased behavior. Processed and synthetic food ingredients also contain chemical compounds that dull your neurotransmitter receptors and can cause mental illness or make it worse. Tell me the brand of products you purchase the most and I’ll tell you which of your behaviors are being controlled by which corporations. The Chinese subvert the will of the people on the West Coast including Silicon Valley through corporations and the Russians subvert the will of the people on the parts of the East Coast and in the South through corporations there. They use money laundering through investment vehicles and cyber attacks with bot farms to manipulate the behaviors of corporations in order to subvert the will of the people, combined with the naivety of our politicians and CEOs or corporate boards on how technology works.

why neuroscience is cool
space & the brain are like the two final frontiers
we know just enough to know we know nothing
there are radically new theories all. the. time. and even just in my research assistant work i've been able to meet with, talk to, and work with the people making them
it's such a philosophical science
potential to do a lot of good in fighting neurological diseases
things like BCI (brain computer interface) and OI (organoid intelligence) are soooooo new and anyone's game - motivation to study hard and be successful so i can take back my field from elon musk
machine learning is going to rapidly increase neuroscience progress i promise you. we get so caught up in AI stealing jobs but yes please steal my job of manually analyzing fMRI scans please i would much prefer to work on the science PLUS computational simulations will soon >>> animal testing to make all drug testing safer and more ethical !! we love ethical AI <3
collab with...everyone under the sun - psychologists, philosophers, ethicists, physicists, molecular biologists, chemists, drug development, machine learning, traditional computing, business, history, education, literally try to name a field we don't work with
it's the brain eeeeee

Mad Scientist Convention
Mad Scientist: So, how did all of you go mad?
Mad Psychologist: If you stare into the abyss (Freud) too long, it stares back!
Mad Quantum Physicist: I have witnessed cosmic horrors beyond human comprehension!
Mad Astronomer: GLIMPSED THE INSIGNIFICANCE AND FRAGILITY OF OUR PLACE IN THE INFINITE COSMOS!!!
Mad Chemist: Too much heavy metal poisoning. Happy unbirthday, by the way!
Mad Geologist: Yeah, me too. Shouldn’t have licked all those rocks.
Mad Physician: This one time I didn't sleep for nine days straight because this one guy “fell” on a firework and blew up his butt and went to a chiropractor first who somehow made it worse. I just lost all faith in humanity after that.
Mad Computer Scientist: I forgot ONE semicolon! Isn't that right Dr. Rubber Ducky?
Mad Rubber Ducky:
Mad Computer Scientist: Wilson? WILSON!?

Unpopular opinion : I really hope they'll have Joey wear a wig in S4 and S5, to continue to keep his hair longer regardless of his real hair's length, because having Jaskier suddenly go back to his S1 short hairstyle would feel like he would have suddenly regressed as a character, somehow?
I dunno...
It's like I've associated the long hair with a more confident, grown, and mature version of his character, and it would feel odd to suddenly have Jaskier go back to looking like he's that 20 year old kid struggling with finding success in his career, love and acceptance from his friends, and trying to figure out what pleases him in life...
Like, don't get me wrong! Joey's hair looked fantastic during that reading! I'm not saying short hair doesn't suit him!
But Joey physically looked like Joey, or a very "baby version" of Jaskier.
Just like Hugh physically looked like Hugh.
Radovid, in my mind, has those soft, long, wavy reddish-blonde locks.
And 40+ y.o. Jaskier has long silky hair.
If they somehow go "Hey, so in our story Geralt now looks like Liam and, BTW! Jaskier also suddenly has short hair again!" there's a very big risk I'll suddenly be thrown off by the sudden "blast from the past" thing happening...
I mean, it took Jaskier almost 2 decades to outgrow that S1 look! Having him suddenly go back to looking the same as he did from age 20 to his late 30s would feel so bizarre to me, somehow...
Like, he doesn't need to have his hair styled like S2 or S3, but keeping a longer hairstyle on Jaskier as a character would be really nice.

Everything is public now, potentially: one’s thoughts, one’s photos, one’s movements, one’s purchases. There is no privacy and apparently little desire for it in a world devoted to non-stop use of social media. Every minute, every second, has to be spent with one’s device clutched in one’s hand. Those trapped in this virtual world are never alone, never able to concentrate and appreciate in their own way, silently. They have given up, to a great extent, the amenities and achievements of civilization: solitude and leisure, the sanction to be oneself, truly absorbed, whether in contemplating a work of art, a scientific theory, a sunset, or the face of one’s beloved.

Roblox Psychological Horror Game idea Day 2
Sorry for the late update! I'm working on the shelves and door script but I'm stuck on the scripting part. It won't move when I touch the trigger part. If anyone knows what’s the issue, please tell me!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hi! If you don’t know me, I'm a beginner working on a game that's puzzle based, inspired by psychological horror from Jim’s computer, Inspiration of the stores from Get a Snack at 4 am, and Write a Letter! I update almost every day and if you want updates, consider checking my blog/following me on my journey!

These simulated cerebral constructs actually evolve in complexity. And as ethical concerns have started, scientists and governments are debating the future of humanness and the juncture where neural tissue transforms into personhood. Some bright people could figure out the ethical issues right up to the moment equal weight be given the opinion of people who think vaccines contain nanobots capable of mind control.

Computational psychology algorithms emitted by wireless devices can be used to overload the human brain of weak willed individuals. You then act out the information you absorb.

every time i see shit about how you should arrange your bedroom for best sleep hygiene or whatever, and it's stuff like "don't have yellow walls" and "don't have a lot of visual clutter" i always kind of think like... yeah these are probably good ideas but consider this: i sleep in the dark, with my glasses off and my eyes closed.
like... is a bunch of extra visual clutter REALLY going to affect my sleep when i literally can't see it at the times i'm trying to sleep??

Diving deep into artificial intelligence readings. It's a proper rabbit hole in itself - where psychology, philosophy and maths converge. I have read about Hofstadter's book from Melanie Mitchell's work - Artificial Intelligence: A Guide for Thinking Humans. She wrote that GEB (the short name for this book: Godel, Escher and Bach) inspired her to become an AI researcher.
I am actually mulling on taking AI in my studies and hopefully, let's say be able to go into AI safety research. I believe that there should be strict quality and safety assurance for systems as this - as we know that AI is not perfect and prone to human biases because of the quality of data they were trained in. Not to mention the other adjacent processes in constructing their LLMs or Large Language Models.
So, I am wishing myself a nice journey, down this new rabbit hole of a book that I purchased. ;)

Roblox Psychological Horror Puzzle Game
I got this idea from a blinking light I saw during dinner and I thought about Morse code since I was quite fixated on it so I thought about creating a game and adding blinking lights that signal a code in Morse for the puzzle part. The story takes place in a convenience store which I got inspiration from Get a Snack at 4 am and Write a Letter's run-down store. I also thought about adding psychological horror to make it more interesting which I also got inspiration from Jim's Computer.
I haven't made a project in Roblox since 2021 so I'm hoping to learn scripting again. I'm currently working on the model of the store and adding a sliding door script.
Tumblr media
It's going to take quite some time to develop the model since the picture I have in mind is a kind of a complicated design and I have school projects to finish. I'll try to update every day or every other day.
