was rewatching fabian’s baron moment on account of it being the most delicious piece of pvp in my recent memory and ally beardsley’s growth as a player just shone through so brightly and with such clarity. after dusting off their shock they immediately asked about the nemesis ward, had enough knowledge about fellow pcs stocked to remember adaine’s ac with such like frustrated confidence and certainty, suggested to siobhan to dimension door out of adaine’s room, like. they came into this making a character with 4 dex. and now the dice deity offered to roll a check to sense if adaine was in danger. making decisions, asking questions, getting invested in the story, trying so hard with the tools they have to save characters from danger; ally beardsley is an incredible d&d player.

Covid19 (ak.a the ONGOING PANDEMIC) ruined comedy for me. Not every time I try to enjoy new comedy content, comedy specials whatnot...all I see is the reality of it:
Abled people have abandoned us while covid is mutating in raging speed, disabling people, killing people, leaving families devastated, filling hospitals so people waiting for "non essential" treatments wait for months upong months with worsening conditions - while people are unmasked, barely vaccinating accross the globe, nobody isolating long enough to actually not stop the spread, and news...let's not even go there...
Comedians don't care as much about people as they do of their fat pay checks.
Super spreaders happen every single day thanks to those comedians.
And Every. Single. Comedian. Jokes. About. The Pandemic. In. Past. Tense. As they speak to unmasked crowd of hundreds to thousands.
I try to enjoy the other jokes but the reality of it is that they are filming these things in pandemic that has killed MILLIONS. The jokes are tastless and show how weak abled people are, and how numb emotionally as they stomp around coughing and sneezing at us.
I am tired.
And may have just watched the last comedy show for a while as those whom I could formerly laugh with turn into people who would watch me, and my loved one, die and not blink an eye.
But sure. Crack a joke.
In present tense, please.

HOW DID I MISS THIS
I swear to you, I was watching closely yesterday.

I had even played it back in slow motion, but thought I was just seeing things.

...nope, the door got so excited for Christmas it phased out of our whole freakin' dimension.
Fortunately while floating out in space, it then managed to land a TV contract portraying The Scary Door in Futurama. True story.

i think i'd be a really great comedian because they get to tell stories in the style of a person with SEVERE adhd. like i know i can't do this to my dad because he doesn't want me to tell him background info for the lead-up to a story for thirty minutes. but john mulaney get's up on that stage for a full two years and he's like "let me explain this phone call i got from pete davidson a few years ago for a third of an hour while you are all held captive without your cell phones and WATCH" like i could do that

idk i love that ketheric is devs' special princess out of all three chosen like. orin is the crazy murder woman, the cult leader, sarevok's daughter, almost-destined-to-be bhaal's chosen, blood and gore and violence aesthetics and all. gortash is the tyranny guy, the power hungry usurper with almost cartoonishly evil grin and lil devils embroided on his clothes. and then there's sad dead geezer. he's voiced by jk simmons. he has the most badass introduction. a whole act is built around his story. he could've been a recruitable companion
