“If then you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.” —Colossians 3:1 (AMPC)
“Seek Treasures Above” By Joyce Meyer:
“The Bible never tells us to seek things. It tells us to seek (pursue, crave) the kingdom of God (see Matthew 6:33) and “the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above.”
Colossians 3:2 (AMPC) says in order to seek the right thing you must set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.
To keep your mind on things above doesn't mean to sit around all the time thinking about the pearly gates and your mansion in heaven. It means to learn to think with the mind of the Spirit. Even if you are born again, you are not going to experience the abundant life you can have in Christ unless you set your mind to pursue higher things. Don't think about your problems today. Instead, think about the good plan that God has for your life and expect something good to happen.
Prayer of the Day: Heavenly Father, help me to set my mind and keep it set on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth. Help me to pursue the kingdom of God and the treasures that are above, and to think with the mind of the Spirit. May I always expect something good to happen and not be consumed by my problems. In Jesus' name, amen.”

Revelation 3: Beloved Philadelphians
After affirming their salvation, Jesus promised the assembly in Philadelphia others would know He loved them, and promised protection from what was about to come. #Revelation3 #Philadelphia #Tribulation
The Philadelphian believers were little in ability but great in faith, for though they had been made to feel as though God would not let them through the gates of heaven, yet they had kept Jesus’s word (sanctifying themselves), and remained true to Jesus’s name. Therefore, Jesus presented Himself to them, His little ones, as the One Who is Holy and Trustworthy/True. And there was…

"DON'T WAIT UNTIL THANKSGIVING TO THANK HIM!"
Read: 1 Chronicles 16:7-36 “O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever” (1 Chronicles 16:34 AMP) We often think of Gratitude in terms of Gain: Someone gives you a ride to work. A neighbor cooks a meal when you’ve had surgery. Your boss notices your hard work and gives you a raise. The kids clean up the house or your husband cooks dinner. For…

1 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

1 Corinthians 15:58 (ESV) "Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain."
1 Corinthians 15:50-58 (NIV). “I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."
Colossians 3:23-24 (AMPC). "Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, Knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [and not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [real] reward. [The One Whom] you are actually serving [is] the Lord Christ (the Messiah)."
Our labor in the Lord is never in vain. God sees everything that we do and we will be rewarded for it. When we work, we work for Jesus, not people. We can know 'with all certainty' that our inheritance, our real reward comes from Heaven. From God. Friend, life might be tough for you right now. Whatever situation you are in might seem hopeless, but Jesus is right there with you. He walks with you every day, in whatever you are doing. You are not alone. You can do all things through Christ, Who gives you strength (Phil 4:13). Amen!🙏🕊🙌

Vigilantly seeking the things that are above
Vigilantly seeking the things that are above
Today we will be looking at the topic of vigilance. When we vigilantly “seek the things that are above,” we are not only looking forward to a heavenly eternity, but we should be finding ways to enact heavenly principles in the here and now, incorporating our new, spiritual kingdom life into the life we are living now. The apostle Paul stated it this way: Colossians 3:1-3 – If then you were…

Food and Feet
This was written in 2022 looking back at 2 years of chaotic ministry with Covid-19 being in the foreground and background of everything. In a pioneering context discipleship can be hard to see. Many of the expressions of pioneering are of one person leading something new. Discipleship seems to be something that discussed in church or talked about in youth settings. What does a disciple look…
