Another coffee painting from the archives! It's been 9 years since I painted this portrait of Pippin.
I made if specifically to gift the original to Billy Boyd himself, and then made prints to sell. It was the first time I actually sold out of a print during a convention 😅
Billy's always been such a sweetheart every time I've met him. He came to several conventions in Sweden shortly after this one, and he ended up stopping by my booth to give me a hug and look at my art 🥰 I doubt he'd still recognise me now, but maybe the coffee paintings would jog his memory 😂
As usual - painted with instant coffee on smooth, heavyweight paper.

Coffee Painting is the coolest thing on planet earth. I hate watercolor, but this was so easy and relaxing. Bless.

One of my favourite coffee paintings to date is definitely the TARDIS. Watching the wood grain take form was a joy, and I loved the contrasts of the final image 🥰
Working with straight lines isn't always fun, and trying to wrangle the darkest coffee mixture into place is less than enjoyable, but all worth it when it actually comes together 😅

Painting with coffee in my watercolor sketchbook. I gave Belos' mask a more deer-like appearance because the nose bump looks funny
I am not ready for this finale 😭

A coffee (& gold pigment) painting based on that Mary Magdalene Shrine in France!
(02/2023)
a few weeks back i found some old stale coffee in our cupboards, so rather than just throw it out i thought i'd try and give coffee painting a go! (i did it once a long time ago lol)
i decided to base this on that post i saw going around on here talking about a shrine dedicated to Mary Magdalene that apparently features her skull! i then also wanted to add the 'me before coffee' in attempt to be funny lol...
