As you stood next to Peter at the New Year’s Eve party, you tried very hard not to look at him. You failed, of course. Peter was your best friend, but that wasn’t the reason why you were continuously stealing glances at him.
Over the course of your friendship, from meeting at the coffee shop just a few blocks from your apartment building to celebrating holidays together because neither of you had family in the area—like tonight, with Cisco hosting the party to celebrate the coming new year—you had gone from thinking of Peter as a friend to wanting so much more than that.
You never thought you’d fall for him, but in the past few months, you’d done nothing but think of him. God, you couldn’t stop. Peter occupied your mind as you drove to work, as you cooked dinner, and hell, even as you fell asleep.
This onslaught of intrusive thoughts started perhaps a few weeks after the metro bombing, and for a few reasons. First, Peter had called you, not his fiancée, when he was in the hospital after the accident. That one had puzzled you. Zoe was at home, and you were at work. Maybe it was because you were employed at a hospital, but he still called you first.
Second, Zoe left him not long after the bombing. Packed up her bags and went back to Texas. You had thought she was a nice enough girl, but her leaving didn’t bother you in the slightest, and that was when you realized your feelings for Peter.
Lastly, Peter was always there for you, physically and figuratively. If he didn’t feel like driving all the way to his apartment after a shift, he’d cut out five minutes of his drive and crash at your place. If you were sick, he’d come over with soup and your favorite movies. If you had car trouble, Peter would show up with whatever tools he had and try to fix the problem even though he was definitely not a mechanic.
Peter was a person you’d never had in your life before, and that made you want him even more than you already did.
You wanted to tell him how you felt, how you he was always on your mind, how you had fallen for him hard.
How much you loved him.
You were a coward though, completely pathetic. One minute, you were ready to declare your feelings with no doubts in your mind, and the next, you had your tail between your legs as you ran away. There was never a right time, but as you stood there next to him on New Year’s Eve, you figured that now was a good a time as any.
Your heart pounded in your chest as the clock showed 11:59pm. “Peter,” you called as people around you started to count down.
Peter turned to you, putting a glass of champagne into your hands. “What’s up?”
“I have something to tell you.”
Forty-five.
A worried look flashed across Peter’s eyes, and you laughed, pressing a hand to your chest. “Oh, no. It’s nothing bad. Well, at least I hope not.”
Forty.
“I just wanted to say…God, I don’t even know how I want to say this.”
Thirty-five.
Peter furrowed his brow. “You definitely have me concerned now.”
“You’re my best friend, Peter.”
Thirty.
“You’re my best friend, too,” he replied, a soft smile curling at his lips.
You swallowed, biting your lip. “I don’t…”
Twenty-five.
“I don’t think I want to be friends anymore,” you breathed, wiping the sweat off your palms. Had someone turned up the heat?
Twenty.
Peter, no longer concerned, was filled with confusion. “What do you mean? Did I do something to make you angry?”
Fifteen.
“No,” you insisted, waving your free hand in the air. “No, you did nothing wrong. It’s just…”
Ten.
“I’ve fallen for you, Peter. I don’t want to be friends anymore because I want to be something more.”
Five.
Peter stared at you as the crowd of people began counting down. “You what?”
“I love you, Peter.”
Four.
Three.
Two.
One.
“HAPPY NEW YEAR!” Everyone exclaimed, except for you and Peter.
You didn’t shout in celebration because you were lowering your head in embarrassment, but Peter’s reason was because he hooked a hand around your waist and pulled you in for a kiss.
When his lips touched yours, you gasped in surprise, and Peter took the opportunity to deepen the kiss. He was soft and gentle and tasted of champagne and mint. The cheers around you disappeared into nothing as you and Peter began the new year in each other’s embrace.
Peter pulled away, the cheers dying down, and looked into your eyes, a mischievous gleam sparkling in his own. “We must think alike,” he said.
“Why?”
He grinned, setting butterflies loose in your stomach. “Because I had planned to tell you that I love you, too, only after midnight.”
“I guess you were too late,” you replied teasingly.
Peter shook his head, tugging you towards him again. “Better late than never,” he mumbled as he kissed you again, Cisco hollering in delight at his two friends finally getting together.
It may be a little short, but it's full of fluffy goodness.

💖 and Barrisco for the kiss snippet? please please if you're okay with it :))
💖 rough kiss / hot and heavy / making out
It wasn't the first time Barry had a close call while out as the Flash. It was just... the first time it had happened since they started dating.
Cisco is antsy the entire time they're at STAR Labs. Through Caitlin checking over Barry in the infirmary and Barry's debrief with Joe so that he'd know where to find the evidence that would seal the deal, as it were, in court. Then another debrief with Iris so she could lead with the story in the morning. Cisco trying to contain himself the entire time, fussing over the Flash suit.
But of course that just makes things worse. The suit is torn and bloodied. Barry's blood.
Cisco has to take a moment before he puts the suit into the industrial washing machines that STAR Labs has that Cisco rebuilt specifically for cleaning the suits. He has to just breathe. Just breathe and try not to think about how close Barry came to... how Barry's voice sounded over the comms when he...
But, finally, they're done for the day. Barry's cleaned up and healed like it never happened, but Cisco knows.
It's all he can think about on the drive home, which Barry accepts with unusual patience... or it seems that way until Cisco glanced over to find Barry asleep on the seat.
Barry wakes up as Cisco pulled into his parking spot and he pulled up a delivery app on his phone as they got out of the car. Which is good, Barry needs more food in him than the power bar he nommed on earlier.
"Food ordered?" Cisco asked as they slipped into his apartment.
"Yeah," Barry replied, tucking his phone away in his pocket again. Which is good because he might have dropped it otherwise.
Why? Because Cisco was shoving him against the door, harder than necessary but Barry wasn't about to start complaining. Not with Cisco's mouth sealing itself to his. Demanding entry to Barry's mouth with his tongue, Cisco's hands threading into Barry's hair to yank his head down just that little bit more for a better angle.
Cisco savors every moan that bubbles up Barry's throat. Every little sound that Barry can make because he's alive, he's alive, he's so very alive.
Pulling back for a moment, just to catch his breath, Cisco dove back in, shoving himself closer to Barry, running his hands down the back of Barry's neck and then around to trail down Barry's arms before teasing their way back up. Cisco's mouth moving to trace Barry's jawline and then along his neck, savoring the taste of Barry's skin over his pulse point - fluttering so hard, so much harder than human normal, beneath Cisco's lips - before joining their mouths again.
Barry's own hands have landed on Cisco's waist and Cisco is certain to have fingerprint bruises from how hard Barry is squeezing, his whole body vibrating against Cisco's...
A loud knock and then the doorbell has them startling apart. Both of them panting hard. Cisco waved Barry off to the couch and then answered the door long enough to bring in the bags of food.
"We'll pick that back up once you've refueled," Cisco promised, once the door was shut again. Glancing over his shoulder he grinned, still feeling a bit breathless. "Sound good to you?"
"Absolutely."

2, 4, 6, 7, and 11 for In Too Deep please?
2: What scene did you first put down?
Gosh, that is hard. If we're talking which INITIAL scene I wrote, it's from the original version (the one on Wattpad, not the one on Ao3 that you read), where Siv confronts Eobard in the original timeline where Eobard kills Cisco.
However, in the current version, the first scene I wrote was the scene where Gina and Siv drive off the cliff after the accelerator blows.
4: What’s your favorite line of dialogue?
It's from a chapter that isn't published yet (the ending), but it goes like this:
"I don't want to die-" Siv gasped, as the cracks of broken timeline spread up her body. "-but if I have to, I'm dragging you down to hell with me."
6: What makes this fic special or different from all your other fics?
Siv is my favorite of my OCs (yes, I do play favorites with them lol) and they're honestly my power fantasy/type/self-insert/weird-ass method of trauma journaling. She's also my second-oldest OC (after Reyna), so I've gotten kinda attached.
7: Where did the title come from?
I mean... it's what Siv is. She's in too deep. Them and their friends start out as just a ragtag group of teenage superheroes, they get into a little danger but it's not that bad, y'know? Then they start uncovering the mystery behind the Reverse-Flash, and after that investigation leads to Gina's murder and Siv finds out just how connected she is to the mystery that she's been uncovering, that's when they realize it. She's... well... In Too Deep.
11: What do you like best about this fic?
The character dynamics! I feel like Siv and her friends really fit the vibe of a real-world group of chaotic teenage nerds and I'm super proud of it.

Harry Wells (Flash) - Earth 2 - Chapter 9
Tumblr media
The day goes by quite smoothly.
You didn’t fumble through a lesson or forgot how to spell your name. Which you were very thankful for. When the class ends, you can’t help it. The first person you text is Harry. Of course with an image attached of you smiling with your presentation in the background.
His response is immediate.
“It looks like everything went well. Your face must hurt from smiling that much.”
You laugh out loud. Thankfully the room is empty. Surely your students would think you are unhinged. Cackling like a witch.
“It doesn’t hurt a bit.”
“I’ll take your word for it.”
Every time you read a text from him you can just picture his expression and it makes you laugh more.
“My last class ends at seven, would you like to have dinner later?”
You anxiously wait for a reply. It’s not like you both haven’t had meals before. Yet, this time, it’s different.
“Will there be big belly burger?”
“Of course! It would be criminal to invite you without your favorite food. I’m offended you would even ask. “
“You drive a hard bargain.”
You giggle, and your phone gives another soft ding.
“I’ll be there.”
Mission complete.
~~
“Harry!!”
Cisco's voice rings throughout the lab. Caitlin raises a brow at the male’s constant yelling and Barry walks in expecting a fight to ensue. Harry walks out from around the corner with a frown on his face. He’s dressed pretty casual. To their shock, he’s actually wearing an outfit of color. The maroon shirt and dark jeans have them questioning a few things.
“Who are you and what have you done to Harry!!” Cisco accuses.
“Be quiet Ramon.” He grumbles.
“Are you going out?” Caitlin inquires softly.
It’s hard to be hostile when Caitlin looks like a curious little bunny.
“I was invited for dinner.”
“I knew you had a crush on her!!”
“Goodbye.”
Harry turns and Cisco just laughs.
“Invite me to the wedding!!”
Harry knew to expect immaturity from Cisco. It’s a given. Although his teasing was irritating, there was truth to Cisco’s words. Harry cared for you. When he heard your story, a part of him was reminded of the trials he faced himself with Zoom.
The pain he felt when he almost lost his daughter. He recognized the hurt you were going through. There was a part of him that felt obligated to help. The same way the members of Team Flash have always helped him.
It started as understanding and empathy, but now it’s different. The only thing he truly wants is your happiness. When he exits the breach, he makes a turn, heading down the street. Instinctively, he reaches for his phone, opening your earlier text. His eyes fixate on the image of you smiling.
Why does it make him feel so at ease when you wear such a precious expression?
He can’t truly comprehend it.
But it feels..nice.
The sudden ringing of his phone makes his eyes refocus and it’s you.
Harry clicks the call button.
“Harry, how close are you?”
He looks down the street.
“I’m a few blocks down. Do you need me to grab something?”
There’s a pause on the other side of the phone.
“Just..walk slowly.”
“Excuse me?”
“WALK SLOW!”
The phone hangs up and he quirks a brow, staring at the phone.
As he begins walking again, he increases his pace.
~
“Food, check. Flowers, check. Casual placement of movies to fit into the dinner, check. What else?”
You’ve been thinking about it all day. It’s not like you lit candles or anything. You know what kind of person Harry is. You treasure him and your friendship, so there’s no need to rush. You’re comfortable at this pace. You have a feeling so is Harry.
There’s a knock and you panic.
You rush to the door and when you open it, Harry is standing before you.
“I said walk slowly.” You grumble.
“Your urgency just instilled my fear to get here faster.”
Of course it did.
You just roll your eyes, stepping aside to invite him in. He walks past you, you realize his change of attire and a subtle smell of cologne. Your eyes seem to follow him as he adjusts his glasses. He turns back to you and it’s then you notice that you’re staring.
“You look good Harry. It's nice to see you wearing actual colors every once in a while.”
“Are you going to badger me like Ramon did?”
You laugh.
“I won’t put you through that. Make yourself comfortable, I’ll go get the food."
“Do you need help?”
“I’m okay, you just relax. You’re the guest. Be guestly.”
“That’s not a real word.”
“Are you questioning an actual professor?”
“I’m the one with multiple Phd’s.”
“Well, I don’t think it counts when you’re from another universe. “
“How convenient.”
There’s something enjoyable about banter with Harry. His clever retorts are sort of adorable. When you send him a little smile, he’s curious about the reason behind it.
“What..”
“Nothing.” You hum.
If only he knew how cute he was.
On second thought, maybe it’s best he didn’t know. You’re not sure him getting a bigger head would be a good thing.
You giggle to yourself as you grab plates and place them on the counter. Your hands move to grab some glasses, but you stumble and the one within your reach falls to the floor when your hand just barely misses it. You grip the edge of the counter at your sudden lightheadedness. You lift your head and Harry seems to appear out of thin air.
“(Y/N)!!”
Your brows furrow.
“Harry I..I don’t feel so good…”
Your hand slides off the side of the counter as your body staggers. Harry catches you mid fall.
(Y/N)! Answer me! Please!!”
Your eyes are closed, and he feels nothing but dread at that moment.

Guilty
1377 words
04/30/23
No one’s pov:
Cisco was sad in his relationship with Barry. No, it wasnt bad, but he felt guilty. Like really guilty.
Barry always got him gifts and presents of stuff that he never really talked about but always wanted. Like the action figure he got of him yesterday of the Flash. Or like those really cute red pare of googles that had cushions so his eyes wouldn’t hurt when he blew up stuff. And it was getting to the point where it was everyday. Sometimes small 5¢ or large 600$ things.
But it really was hurting him. Because he couldn’t give Barry anything back. He didn’t have as much money as Barry. Star Labs wasn’t paying him anymore, so he was starting to need money. Of course Barry gave him this money, not as a sugar daddy but as a concerned boyfriend, and it hurt that he couldn’t pay him back. That he wasn’t enough for Barry. So all he felt was guilt. And he decided to break it off with Barry, but he didn’t know how. So in the mean time, he was avoiding him, ignoring him. And one really late night he went to their favorite bar to drink it off and…
“Barry?” Cisco asked doubting his eyesight for a second. And there a drunken Barry sat, sprawled in the counter of a stool, drink in hand.
“I think I finally found out how to get drunk!” Barry said as he wobbly got up. Cisco caught him, seating him back down on the stool. He went in Barry’s wallet, pulling out two hundreds, assuming that’s how much he drank, saying that he was drunk. Cisco placed the hundreds on the counter as the bartender went into the cash register.
“80$ change.” He said slapping the money down. Cisco took the money and put it back in his boyfriends wallet before chug-a-lugging him to his car and driving him to his apartment. He chug-a-lugged Barry up to his apartment, and placed him in his bed. Barry had fallen asleep by this time and woken up as they walked in the apartment.
“Cisco?” He asked as he rubbed his eyes. Cisco had been kneeling along side the bed, watching him sleep as he placed down the clothes for Barry when he woke up.
“Yeah. Yeah I’m here Barry.” Cisco said back, hesitantly. Barry took his hands off his eyes and cupped Cisco’s face.
“I missed you.” Barry said, with angel like eyes. Cisco pulled his hand down, tears forming in his eyes as the guilt rushed back into his head.
“I know.” Cisco said softly, holding Barry’s hand in between his own.
“What happened?” Barry said softly, “you had me worried. I went out drinking every night I-“ he continued.
“Bare. Bare! BARRY!” Cisco said as Barry rambled. Barry finally caught his attention and stopped talking.
“I think we should break up.” Cisco continued, placing Barry’s hand back on top his body.
“W-what why?” Barry asked quickly sitting up.
“Because you give me all the gifts and money and… it’s just not enough.” Cisco replied, slowly saying the last part.
“If it’s not enough you could have just said something.” Barry said cupping Cisco’s face again.
“No Bare-“ Cisco said but was cut off by a rushed kiss. Barry kissed Cisco roughly, Cisco slowly submitting. Barry’s hand crept up to his hair, forcing him to keep his mouth their. Cisco did before pulling back as hard as he could. Barry pulled back too, loosening but not fully letting how of his hair.
“What- what’s wrong- isn’t that what you want?” Barry asked as tears formed in his eyes.
“No- it’s not enough-“ Cisco said to himself.
“Well-w-we were gonna get to that“ Barry said with a smug smile.
“No it’s still not enough. IM NOT ENOUGH!” Cisco said suddenly, tears falling down his eyes.
“IM NOT ENOUGH- ILL NEVER BE ENOUGH!” Cisco yelled at Barry. Barry looked up at him, his eyes widening as he realized that, he was the problem, well in his mind.
“You get me all these gifts! You love me so well but I can’t repay! I can’t give you all the stuff you give me!” Cisco cried as his tears took him over.
“And I love you too much to let you have that life.” Cisco said in a softer voice. He paced back and forth, hands creeping to his hair, shaking as they held it up, tears falling down his face as he awaited a response. Suddenly he stopped infront of where Barry was sitting, having had enough.
“Well?” Cisco started waiting for a response, waiting for Barry to tell him get out, or to get up and slap him across the face, “ANSWER ME DAMMIT!” Cisco said his voice breaking again.
“I’m sorry.” A broken hearted Barry said, tears falling down his face. His voice was shaky and broken and honestly, it hurt to hear. Cisco flinched at the sudden change in tone.
“What?” Cisco said softly, his tears almost immediately stopping as he realized that Barry was crying too. Actually sobbing uncontrollably.
“I said I’m sorry. I thought showering you with gifts would make you happy..” Barry rambled as tears fell down his face. His breathing sped up and it seemed that he was on the verge of an anxiety attack.
“No- no- hey.” Cisco said kneeling down before Barry and grabbing the wrists that were holding Barry’s head up. He looked into his sad eyes, watching the tears rush out of his eyes, as if all the water stored in his body just decided to burst out right then and there. He watched as more tears fell. He couldn’t even speak.
So he just hugged Barry. He hugged Barry as if the world would end if he let go. They stayed like that for hours. After a while, Cisco just got in bed and told Barry to cuddle his waist and cry for as long as he needed to, because truthfully he had knees like an old man.
After a few hours, their sobs turned into cries, their cries turned into hiccup-y breaths, which turned into slowed, paced breaths. The both laid their all through it, neither daring to move an inch. Cisco rubbed circles on Barry’s back. Barry wrapped his arms around Cisco for dear life, his head resting on his stomach.
“I’m sorry, again.” Barry blurted breaking the comfortable silence.
“It’s not your fault I promis-“ Cisco started, but was cut off by Barry.
“No it really is. I really didn’t mean to make you feel that way.” Barry cut off.
“No it’s fine.” Cisco said trying to reassure Barry.
“No it really isn’t. I thought that showering you with gifts would make you never leave. I thought that even if you stopped loving me, you would never leave me because is some twisted way you needed the money. But instead I made you want to leave me even more.” Barry joked, on the middle part (kinda), before his voice started to crack on the last part.
“But seriously I could never imagine feeling like that. Like you weren’t good enough because you couldn’t give your partner all the stuff they wanted.” Barry stated crawling up to kiss Cisco softly.
“It’s fine Bare I promise. I was just in this depressive state of mind that made me think I wasn’t good enough.” Cisco said as Barry pulled away.
“No! STOP INVALIDATING YOUR FEELINGS! YOU DESERVE FEELINGS TOO, WHATEVER THEY ARE.” Barry yelled suddenly cupping his lover’s face and looking him in the eyes, forcing him to do the same.
“Cisco I don’t think I told you this but, YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH. YOU’RE GOOD ENOUGH. THAT MEANS THAT ALL OF YOUR FEELINGS MATTER. THAT MEANS THAT DEPRESSIVE STATES OF MINDS AREN’T SOMETHING TO BRUSH BY. OKAY? DO YOU HEAR ME?” Barry continued holding Cisco’s face in between his hands and not letting go until he got an answer.
“Yeah. I hear you, I’m sorry, it wasn’t ‘just some depressive state of mind’ it was something bad and we need to work on that.” Cisco replied, holding Barry’s hands on his face so he wouldn’t let go. This forceful touch was actually comforting.
“Thank you, and yes we need to work on that. I can’t have my baby feeling bad about himself. And don’t apologize, sometimes you can’t help it.” Barry replied pressing his forehead against Cisco’s.

DHD Prompt: Cisco is stuck in a 2-hour time loop, and for some reason can only make breaches to other places on Earth-1. He dies at the end of the 2 hours, every time. Please throw in at least a few of the "having fun because no consequences" loops.
(this feels like a whole full length fic prompt, my friend, so I’m changing some things up. At first I wasn’t sure what to do with this because the events of time loop are always the Worst to figure out and then I decided to just find the worst possible thing. ) Everything explodes, and Cisco hits the far wall, only aware of screaming before everything goes dark. He blinks, and stumbles a little. Dr. Snow catches him. “Don’t be nervous,” she says quietly. “ You don’t have to give a speech.” Cisco nods, taking a deep breath. The air is cold and clear, and he smiles. “Just excited,” he assures her. There’s no need to tell her about the sudden worst case scenario his mind threw up in front of his eyes. Just ahead of them, Cisco sees Dr. Harrison Wells raise a hand, and the crowd cheers. “ Thank you,” his boss and mentor says, beaming.  “Tonight, the future begins.” another cheer. Cisco can hardly make out the faces of the crowd, with all the lights. He wonders if Rathaway tried to show up. Dr. Wells continues. “ The work my team and I will do here will change our understanding of physics. We'll bring about advancements in power, advancements in medicine, and trust me, that future will be here faster than you think.” the crowd goes wild, pushing and shoving against each other in excitement. Cisco swells with pride when Dr. Wells gestures at him and Dr. Snow and the others on the stage when he says “ my team.” They go inside, champagne offered all around, the mood light and infectious enough to drive all his worries from his heart. Just nerves. Everything is fine. And it is, until it isn’t. The clock ticks past the 45 minute mark since the button was pushed, and the same alarm from his weird waking nightmare blares. He’d heard it before, in drills.  As Ronnie Raymond races to the pipeline, Cisco follows at a run, his heart in his throat. “If I’m not back in two minutes,” Ronnie says, and Cisco clutches the radio so hard it indents his palm. “Wait,” he says, grabbing for Ronnies sleeve,  unsure how to say that he saw this in a dream, standing on the podium.  The older engineer shakes him off. “There’s no time to wait.” Cisco’s watch beeps. He hits the button and the door seals, and over the radio he hears Ronnie’s frantic half-curses. “I can’t stop it. I think I can send it up, but I don’t know if there’s time, I’m trying.” “Ronnie!” Dr. Snow grabs the radio from Cisco’s numb hands. “No, you have to--” Everything shatters, the sealed door not quite enough as the accelerator explodes outwards. * He blinks, and stumbles a little. Dr. Snow catches him. “Don’t be nervous,” she says quietly. “ You don’t have to give a speech.” Cisco’s heart stutters. How-- how is this happening? He just died. He just died and felt the whole lab--the city--die with him. That’s what’ll happen, if the accelerator… The crowd jostles with anticipation. Cisco takes a step forward, touching Dr. Well’s sleeve. “ Dr. Wells, I have to talk to you, right now. It’s urgent.” “Cisco,” Dr Wells turned away from the crowd, the way he always made time for Cisco’s questions or concerns. It had always made Cisco feel secure, like he was valued at STAR Labs. “Of course. After the launch.” “It has to be now, I think Hartley Rathaway was right.” “You do?” Wells asked, his brow knitting. “I checked everything myself, as did you and Mr. Raymond, Dr. Snow, and the rest.  Everything’s going to be fine.” “No, it’s not, I-- I can’t explain it, but I think--” “Relax, Cisco,” Wells said. “Everything’s going to be exactly as planned.” He turns back to the crowd. “Thank you. Tonight, the future begins.” Cisco tenses as soon as Dr. Wells hits the launch button, but no alarms blare. While the others toast, sipping champagne and munching on small cakes, Cisco checks the numbers again. Again. Everything looks exactly like it had before, in all the tests, in all the simulations. “Here,” Ronnie says at his elbow, offering him a glass. “You’ve put as much work into this as the rest of us. Celebrate.” Cisco’s mouth goes dry, but he takes the glass. Ronnie’s smiling. “Here, come talk with us.” He pulls Cisco away from the work station to where Dr. Wells is telling a joke. The Champagne in his untouched glass rises into the air as the clock hits 45 minutes, and the alarm blares. Ronnie tenses. Cisco grabs his arm. “No,” he says, fast. Ronnie looks at him, puzzled. “It’s an emergency.” Cisco looks at Wells. “Hartley was right, wasn’t he?” Well’s face goes ashen at Cisco’s words, but he recovers his voice. “I think Mr. Rathaway wanted to be right. He must have tried to sabotage something. Hopefully nothing major. Mr. Raymond, if you’ll go check?” Cisco’s feet burn as he follows them at a run. The accelerator explodes before the elevator doors open. *
He blinks, and stumbles a little. Dr. Snow catches him. “Don’t be nervous,” she says quietly. “You don’t have to give a speech.” Cisco throws up. Dr. Snow jumps backwards a little. “Are you sick?” she asks. “You should sit.” She takes his arm, moving him to a chair at the back of the stage. “No, I just--I need to talk to Dr. Wells.” “I’m sure he’ll understand why you’re not standing next to him. Have some ginger ale to settle your stomach.” A heartbeat after Dr. Wells starts his speech, Cisco realizes this is a good excuse. He can find Hartley, stop him this time. He hops down off the back of the platform, swiping his badge to get inside. Hartley must have kept one, somehow, or stolen one. He makes his way down to the accelerator, knowing he’ll have to be fast. “ Hartley!” he shouts. “Stop!” the sabotage will have had to be today, just now. They all checked with Dr. Wells first thing this morning.  There’s no answer. His watch beeps.  No Hartley, and no time. He has to get out now or he’ll be inside when they turn it on…and he left the door open. He’s running for the doorway when the lights go out, and he doesn’t have time to call himself an idiot. * He blinks, and stumbles a little. Dr. Snow catches him. “Don’t be nervous,” she says quietly. “You don’t have to give a speech.” Cisco shoves her off him.  “Dr. Wells,” he says, not bothering to whisper. “ Dr. Wells, something’s wrong with the accelerator. It’s going to explode.” The mic catches his words, and the crowd’s excitement turns to panic. “ Cisco,” Dr. Wells says, and the disappointment on his face makes something curdle within Cisco’s gut. “I didn’t think you would betray me, too.” He signals, and security hauls Cisco away by both arms as  Dr. Wells assures the crowd that  there’s no danger, merely a disgruntled ex-employee trying to sow discontent. Cisco feels his coworkers staring at him as he’s dragged to the security fence. “You’re fired,” one says simply. Cisco protests. “Please, you have to listen to me. It’s going to--” but they’re already walking away. He stands at the edge of the chain link as the rain begins to fall, then turns. Maybe he can just get far enough away. He scrambles to call his mother-- the family house is far enough from the city center, he’s pretty sure, but his apartment isn’t. She doesn’t answer, but that’s not new, and he’s more shaken than he is proud. He goes anyways. It’s not far enough. Cisco sees the city lights go out and feels the wave coming, and thinks that Dr. Snow must have opened the door. * He blinks, and stumbles a little. Dr. Snow catches him. “Don’t be nervous,” she says quietly. “You don’t have to give a speech.” Cisco gives a nervous laugh, bone weary.  This time, instead of sitting through the speeches, desperate to do something else, anything else, he watches the crowd. He knows the speeches by heart, anyways.  A man grabs a woman’s back, shoving her hard, and Cisco throws himself off the side of the stage after him, even though her companion is already trying to follow. For all he’s tall, the guy’s slow. Cisco gets past him easily, but when his hand brushes the stranger’s jacket, he staggers, a wave of nausea and exhaustion  slamming into him with-- memory?  It’s not deja vu, it’s not remembering, but it feels like both. He stares at the guy, mugger forgotten, until Barry Allen says “he’s getting away” and jostles past. Allen. How does he know that name? How does he know that face?  He’s never known either before.  Has he been in this loop long enough to forget? But… no… He can see the man next to him. He can see Dr. Wells in front of them, standing tall and proud in some kind of yellow suit, wreathed in light like the energy Cisco knows is coming to bring the city to its knees. And then he blinks and it’s all gone, the man in the lightning, and the mugger with the bag. “Thanks for trying,” the beautiful woman who’d been robbed says, reaching him. “You should get as far from here as you can, Iris,” Cisco says hoarsely, and doesn’t wait to hear her ask how he knows her name. He  has to talk to Dr. Wells, and this time he doesn’t open with the danger to the city. “I’m in a timeloop,” he says, though he’s said it before and Dr. Wells has always shrugged it off. “I saw something, the guy in the crowd. I knew his name and I know I’ve never met Barry Allen before.  I need help, Dr. Wells.” “Did you say Barry Allen?” Dr. Wells frowned. “He’s.. here?” “Not anymore, he ran off,” Cisco said. “How do you know him?” “That’s not important, Cisco. Of course he ran. Good.  You’re not in a timeloop, I know it must… seem that way--” “That’s what you said last time.” “Did I? Of course. He’s trying to fix it.” “Who-- fix what? The accelerator?” “Just sit tight. Everything will be fine.” Dr. Wells smiles. Nothing is, of course. * He blinks, and stumbles a little. Dr. Snow catches him. “Don’t be nervous,” she says quietly. “You don’t have to give a speech.” Cisco wants to cry.  He goes back down to the accelerator, ripping out anything he can find, trying to cut the connection to power. There’s too much. It’s sabotage proof. But someone must have sabotaged it, right? * He blinks, and stumbles a little. Dr. Snow catches him. “Don’t be nervous,” she says quietly. “You don’t have to give a speech.” He tackles Wells off the side of the stage. The accelerator still turns on. The city ignites. * He blinks, and stumbles a little. Dr. Snow catches him. “Don’t be nervous,” she says quietly. “You don’t have to give a speech.” Cisco can’t watch it happen. Not again.   As they go inside, he grabs Ronnie by the shoulder. “What’s up, Cisco?” Ronnie asks, beaming. “What’s something I would only know If I was in a timeloop and trying to prove it to you?” Cisco asks fast. Ronnie frowns. “Are you saying you’re in a timeloop?” “Yes. and you’re going to die, everyone in this building is. Please.” He waits to be brushed off, as Ronnie spots Dr. Snow. Ronnie hesitates. “Look, now’s not a good time for a prank…” “It’s not. I swear. The accelerator’s going to blow up.” “No, we just checked it.” Ronnie says. “I’ll.. we can’t cancel, not now. Let me talk to Dr. Wells.” Of course no one will listen. Cisco tries Dr. Snow next, and she  follows him to the workstation before pointing out that she’s an MD and a biochemist, not a programmer. Still, there’s that same hesitation. The alarms blare. Ronnie kisses Dr. Snow and runs, grabbing Cisco by the arm. “You have to seal the door if I’m not out.” “We can do it faster together,” Cisco argues. He can’t lock the door again. Even with four hands, it’s not enough. Caitlin screams over the radio as she closes the door. Cisco wonders when she became Caitlin in his mind. “Rockwell,” Ronnie says. “Next time. Call me that, and I’ll believe you.”  To Caitlin, over the radio, he says he loves her. Cisco has the name in his tongue as the world turns white. * He blinks, and stumbles a little. Caitlin catches him. “Don’t be nervous,” she says quietly. “You don’t have to give a speech.” Cisco holds onto her longer than he needed to to regain his balance. He replays it all in his mind.  The door has to seal.  They have to act fast. Was the conversation too much of a delay? If he can just get it started before the alarms, will that be enough? Wells is almost done with his speech by the time Cisco’s finally finished with the math in his brain, and the math in his heart. Ronnie’s taking the mic, Caitlin with him. Cisco waits, mentally planning, and as soon as the crowd has finished the chant and the rain has started to fall, he gets to Ronnie. “Rockwell,” he says, and Ronnie’s eyes go sharp. “What happens?” he asks, and Caitlin makes a concerned noise. “It’s a timeloop password,” Ronnie says in answer to her raised eyebrow. “You know.” She nods in approval. “If you say so. But if this is a prank, I will make last April fools look tame.” It’s enough to put fear in any Star Labs employee’s heart, any who hasn’t been through this night for weeks. “The accelerator’s going to blow up. It takes out the building, the city. 40 minutes from now, a little less. Dr. Wells won’t believe us. “ Cisco says it all fast. “We won’t be able to stop it,” Ronnie says. “But we could vent it. Up. not out…” “You’d have to go inside,” Caitlin protests. “Someone does,” Cisco says. “And the door has to close. 3 and a half minutes after the alarms start, or it won’t matter.” “We can’t go in while it’s running now, either,” Ronnie says. Cisco nods, miserable. He made that mistake before. He won’t again.  The cycle’s meant to stop after an hour, and that’s going to be too late.  The override they’ve all checked a dozen times in the days before these two hours hasn’t existed in the loops Cisco’s walked. The Alarms blare, and their window opens. “I’ll go in and set it to vent,” Ronnie says, kissing Caitlin. “If I’m not back in two minutes,” he says, knowing it’s not the first time he’s been longer and unable to finish. Cisco takes the radio and takes off into the tunnel. “Two minutes,” he calls back. His fingers bleed. He sets the vents. He hears the door seal, and the voices of his friends on the radio. It’s going to work this time. The city will be ok. The pipelinefills with blue light. * Cisco blinks, and stumbles.  Caitlin catches his arm. (for the record: no Barry is not resetting time Eobard is just super conceited about speedsters and is making an assumption. Why is there a timeloop? Idk ask the anon. But it’s not barry.)

Cisco VPN features
Cisco VPN (Virtual Private Network) offers a range of robust features that ensure secure and seamless connectivity for users across various networks. One key feature of Cisco VPN is its encryption capabilities, which help protect data during transmission over public networks, safeguarding sensitive information from unauthorized access.
Another important feature is multi-factor authentication, which adds an extra layer of security by requiring users to provide more than one form of verification before accessing the network. This helps prevent unauthorized users from gaining entry even if they have obtained login credentials.
Furthermore, Cisco VPN supports flexible deployment options, allowing businesses to tailor their VPN setup to meet their specific needs. Whether it's site-to-site VPN for connecting multiple office locations or remote access VPN for enabling employees to work securely from anywhere, Cisco VPN offers versatile solutions for different use cases.
Additionally, Cisco VPN provides centralized management capabilities, making it easier for IT administrators to monitor and control VPN settings across the network. This streamlines the management process and ensures consistent security protocols are enforced throughout the organization.
Overall, Cisco VPN's features are designed to deliver a secure, reliable, and user-friendly VPN experience for businesses of all sizes. By leveraging the advanced capabilities of Cisco VPN, organizations can establish a robust network infrastructure that prioritizes data security and privacy in today's digital landscape.
Windows Pro system requirements
Windows Pro is a powerful operating system designed for business and professional users. To ensure optimal performance and functionality, it is important to meet the system requirements outlined by Microsoft.
The minimum system requirements for Windows Pro are a 1 GHz processor, 1 GB RAM for 32-bit systems or 2 GB RAM for 64-bit systems, 16 GB of hard disk space for 32-bit systems or 20 GB for 64-bit systems, and a DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver.
For a better user experience and improved performance, it is recommended to exceed the minimum requirements. Increasing the RAM to at least 4 GB for 32-bit systems or 8 GB for 64-bit systems will ensure smooth operation of resource-intensive applications.
In terms of storage, opting for a solid-state drive (SSD) instead of a traditional hard disk drive (HDD) can significantly enhance system responsiveness and reduce loading times. Graphics-intensive tasks may benefit from a dedicated graphics card with DirectX 12 support.
It is also important to regularly update hardware drivers and ensure compatibility with the latest Windows Pro updates to maintain system stability and security. By meeting or surpassing the recommended system requirements, users can fully leverage the advanced features and capabilities of Windows Pro for a productive and efficient computing experience.
Compatibility of Cisco VPN with Windows Pro
Cisco VPN is compatible with Windows Pro operating systems, allowing users to securely connect to corporate networks from remote locations. This compatibility ensures that individuals working from home or traveling can access company resources without compromising security.
One of the key benefits of using Cisco VPN with Windows Pro is the seamless integration between the two systems. Users can easily install the Cisco VPN client on their Windows Pro devices and configure the settings to establish a secure connection. This simplifies the process for employees and minimizes the need for IT support, saving time and resources for organizations.
Furthermore, the compatibility between Cisco VPN and Windows Pro ensures that data transmission is encrypted and secure. This is essential for protecting sensitive information such as company files, emails, and other communications from potential cyber threats. By using Cisco VPN with Windows Pro, users can work with peace of mind knowing that their data is safe from unauthorized access.
In addition, the flexibility of Cisco VPN allows users to connect to the corporate network from various locations, including home offices, public Wi-Fi hotspots, and remote sites. This level of accessibility is crucial for employees who need to stay productive while on the go, ensuring continuous connectivity and workflow efficiency.
Overall, the compatibility of Cisco VPN with Windows Pro offers a reliable and secure solution for remote access to corporate networks. This seamless integration enhances productivity, flexibility, and data protection for users across various industries.
VPN software options for Windows operating systems
When it comes to ensuring privacy and security while browsing the internet on a Windows operating system, VPN software is a crucial tool. With the multitude of options available, choosing the right VPN for your needs can be overwhelming. Here are some top VPN software options specifically tailored for Windows users:
ExpressVPN: Known for its lightning-fast speeds and strong encryption, ExpressVPN offers a user-friendly interface and a vast server network spanning across numerous countries. Its Windows app is intuitive and packed with features like split tunneling and a kill switch.
NordVPN: Renowned for its robust security features, NordVPN employs military-grade encryption and a strict no-logs policy. With specialized servers for streaming and P2P file sharing, NordVPN is an excellent choice for both privacy-conscious users and content enthusiasts.
CyberGhost: Ideal for beginners, CyberGhost boasts a user-friendly interface and one-click connection. It offers optimized servers for streaming and torrenting, along with advanced features like ad blocking and malicious website protection.
Surfshark: Despite being relatively new in the market, Surfshark has quickly gained popularity for its unlimited simultaneous connections and budget-friendly pricing. It offers strong security features like CleanWeb, which blocks ads and malware, and MultiHop, which routes your connection through multiple servers for added anonymity.
VyprVPN: With its proprietary Chameleon protocol, VyprVPN is capable of bypassing VPN blocking and censorship, making it an excellent choice for users in restrictive environments. Its Windows app is sleek and easy to navigate, with features like automatic connection on untrusted Wi-Fi networks.
Before committing to a VPN provider, it's essential to consider factors such as speed, server coverage, security features, and pricing plans. Additionally, taking advantage of free trials or money-back guarantees can help ensure that the chosen VPN meets your requirements before making a long-term commitment.

Reflections on 25 Years of cyberManor
Tumblr media
On February 26, 2024 cyberManor was purchased by Daisy, a company with a seasoned executive team working to build a national franchise that will service the smart home with the help of a premier collection of custom electronic integrators located across the United States.  cyberManor was honored to be chosen as one of their first corporate owned locations to help build out this national service model.
25 years ago I started cyberManor with the belief that high speed “always on” internet services that were being installed in the home for the first time to replace slow dial-up services would usher in a new era of services to and throughout the home.   Electricity, gas, water, and telephone were the essential services to the home in the late 1990s - but now this new high speed internet service carried over coaxial cable lines and phone DSL lines was poised to become the home’s next essential service.   One could make an argument that today it is the home’s most essential service since it has revolutionized the way we live, play, and work in our own home.   In fact, Cisco came to cyberManor in 1999 to produce this smart home video that was a harbinger of the internet and network products and services that emerged in the home over the next several decades.
In the earliest days of cyberManor we just connected a few office computers, printers, and hard drives to a small home network and the internet.   Those were the only “smart, connected” products in the home in the late 1990s and early 2000s.   But as the first decade of the 21st century progressed the high speed internet connection became a preferred source for music content and distribution in the home (thank you Sonos) and movie content and distribution in the home (thank you Kaleidescape).   And then network based home control server platforms from companies like Control4 emerged that allowed the homeowner to control their TV, music, lights, shades, thermostat, security system, all from a handheld controller or a desktop computer.   But the biggest breakthrough emerged when the iPhone was released in 2007 and everyone now had a remote control device (via iPhone apps) for the entire home in the the palm of their hand.
cyberManor was fortunate to leverage their computer and networking expertise to ride this wave of networked connected products into the home.  25 years ago only a few products in the home office were smart, and today thousands of products in every room inside and outside of the home have network connectivity and intelligence.    With this explosion of networked and intelligent connected devices came a level of complexity whereby most homeowners need professional assistance to make sure that all of these devices work reliably and predictably each time they are used.   The smart home is no longer a luxury, it has become an essential component in the enjoyment, comfort, and safety of our homes.  cyberManor, now powered by Daisy’s residential services team and remote service offerings, puts our company in the enviable position of providing a much stronger service offering to all of our current and future customers.
It’s been an amazing 25 years to be in the custom home electronics integration industry.   I feel that I’ve had a front row seat to the most impressive technological advancements that have allowed all of us to live our best lives at home.   Along the way I’ve been carried by an amazing team of employees that have helped make the promise of a smart, digitally connected home a reality for thousands of clients in the San Francisco Bay Area.   Now with Daisy’s impressive staff and support team we look forward to continuing our custom integrated home technology solutions for thousands of new clients in the years ahead - and to better support the clients we’ve been fortunate to serve over the last quarter century.
Thank you to all of our customers, all of our employees, and all of our vendors that allowed us to enjoy this 25th anniversary of our company and to reach this milestone moment where we can now continue to thrive with our new partner, Daisy.
With all my sincere thanks,
Gordon van Zuiden Founder, cyberManor (1999 - 2024) Daisy Flagship Location (2024 and beyond)

Eobard Thawne (Flash) Chapter 20
Tumblr media
Safe to say, having dinner after that was a bit awkward.
Eobard was literally shameless.
Sitting at the table, you eat quietly.
Every bite Eli takes, you can see a grimace.
"Do you not like it?"
He shakes his head.
"I just can't help but wonder if you two were making out while you were preparing the food. Who knows what fluids are in here." You blush, and Eli stands with an awkward laugh.
"I'm gonna turn in early."
"O-Of course! Have a good night!" He speeds up to the guest room, and Eobard just continues with his meal.
"How can you be so casual?"
"We're all adults." He replies. You just sigh.
"He's still stuck here."
It was starting to worry you.
"We'll get him back to his own time. If anyone can do that it's me."
He's been a time anomaly from the moment he made Barry an enemy.
"Do you still hate him?" Eobard stops, glancing at you.
You aren't sure if you'll like the answer he has. You aren't even sure what possessed you to ask such a question.
"I do."
You swallow, looking down.
"I see. "
You should have expected as much. It's not like he was going to change years of hate in a matter of months.
"But lately...lately it doesn't feel as bad. " Your hopeful eyes look up.
"Lately there's a lot more that I want. "
It's a little naive to think his entire world revolves around you. But it seems that just a bit of his heart may not be completely lost.
That is what gives you hope.
You finish your meal with a more cheerful attitude. Eli has raced over to Star Labs to exchange theories with Barry and Cisco. You're making yourself busy around the apartment. However the quiet gets to you. When you walk up the stairs, Eobard is standing at the door of the guest room. Just staring.
"Is everything alright?"
His gaze drifts, and he looks you over.
"Did he leave?"
"Yeah. He just went to Star Labs. I guess he really likes his uncles." You joke.
Eobard is still silent. Now you're a little worried.
"Eobard."
"I'm not sure how to explain it, but something is wrong."
His words confuse you. You don't truly understand, not until you feel the wind at the back of your neck.
"MOM!!"
Eli's voice sounds panicked and you just barely turn before you see the suit.
It's yellow, but this one is different. Because the speedster in front of you could not be your Eobard.
"I won't let you ruin our plans."
The yellow figure states. Eli races to your side, the same time Eobard tries to do the same, but they are both too late. The hand that goes into your chest makes you gasp.
"(Y/N)!!"
Eobard's scream echoes in your ears, and just like that your body drops. Both men end up on the ground by your side. Eobard is cradling your face, and Eli is sobbing.
"H-How is this possible? D-Dad why did you hurt her!!"
Eobard shakes his head.
"T-That wasn't me I-I..I would never.."
You cough, trying to steady your breathing, but it's hard.
"Eo..bard.."
"I'm here. I'm right here."
You wear a weak smile, looking up at him as you stroke his cheek.
"You're different now...better.. " You look so weak, and he feels as though his heart is being ripped out of his chest.
He doesn't say a word, just takes off running with you in tow.. Eli is right behind him. His feet skid when he makes it to Star Labs.
"HELP HER!!"
The urgency of Eobard's voice startled them all. It doesn't even look like you're breathing. Eobard places you on the bed, and Caitling is racing around the room to assist. Eli is standing at the side, just barely keeping it together.
"What happened?" Barry needs to know. Eli's gaze moves to Eobard whose eyes are firmly planted on your form. Eli doesn't have it in him to say what he saw. Because he'd watch his father, at least some version of him drive a vibrating hand through your chest.
"I did this."
Eobard confesses.
Now they are uneasy.
"A replica of me came back. Whatever happens in the future, it must be linked to you Barry. To stop that from happening, I took away any chances of me straying from my original task of destroying your life." There is anger in his voice.
When they hear the sound of the heart monitor, Eobard moves closer.
"Come on, wake up. Wake up."
The beats seem to get slower, and despite Caitlin's best attempt, when they hear the flatline of the heart monitor, all action seems to stop. Eli lets out a breath. Barry and Cisco look on in disbelief. Caitlin's hands are shaking slightly. The syringe in her hand drops.
"She's gone.."
Iris mutters.
Eli takes a staggered step back.
"You did this..." His accusing eyes turn to Eobard.
Barry becomes weary when he sees the sparks begin to bounce of Eli's body.
"All of this is your fault. I just wanted to make you proud. To be a hero like my dad, but you're nothing but a monster. A villain. She trusted you. She loved you and you killed her...YOU KILLED HER!!" Eli fires off in Eobard's direction, and he grunts when he's struck in the stomach. His body hits the wall. They all jolt back, and Barry tries to intervene.
"DON'T INTERFERE!!"
The red glow in his eyes is one Barry has seen a million times. Eli swings a punch, knocking Barry right off his feet. His chilling gaze turns back to Eobard who is picking himself off the ground.
The next attack is struck in his face, and Eobard doesn't fight back. Blood splatters on the wall, but Eli doesn't stop. His blows are vicious. Filled with all the hate and pain that he's felt since the day he was born.
"You have to stop!!" Barry calls. This time, he may need a different strategy. He grabs a pair of meta cuffs and nods to Cisco.
Vibing a breech, Eobard's body drops into the portal. Eli looks stunned. While he's distracted, Barry makes quick work at cuffing him. When his speed is no longer going, his body seems a bit unsteady, and he falls to his knees. Cisco reopens the breech, and Eobard runs out. Stopping right next to Eli.
The younger man's eyes lift, guilt and pain are all that they see. That changes to anger.
"I hate you."
If words could kill, that would have been the dagger to Eobard's heart.
Eli's head lowers, and they all watch in fear as his body begins to phase out.
"No.." Barry sounds devastated.
Because now they realize what's happening. Eli is being erased.
In a matter of seconds, Eli's body is gone.
When they look over, so is yours.
