Possibly Doing a "Begins" Series

So, I've kind of been obsessing over 9-1-1/9-1-1: Lone Star lately and think that it would be cool to do a "Begins" Series with characters from One Chicago and maybe The Resident, by using the information that we have gotten from the shows about them (after I finish all my other WIPs, but I actually wanna have them written ahead of time instead of writing as I go). I have an idea of how I want some of them to go, others are undecided as of right now and some I'm debating if I should do one for said character. But if you want to see a particular moment for a character that was canonically mentioned (ie Mouch and his dad sending letters when he was a child) let me know. (Also, the order of the characters listed have nothing to do with the potential order that they get done. its the most recent episode of The Resident.

im leeching hulu from my MIL so every week i get to watch a bunch of medical dramas like 911, 911 yeehaw version, the good doctor, and the resident. i didnt think i'd like the resident but i was out of things to watch so i binged it and it was pretty okay, i loved Mina Okafor and hated dr Bell and i wanted to see her thrive and him suffer but surprise fucking surprise the best character on the fucking show got the "i wanna go home :(" storyline and mister murderhands got a redemption arc. bitch.

its honestly a meh show but i spend a shitload of time in the living room now what with having an almost toddler who needs hours and hours of playtime each day, and i needed to watch fucking SOMETHING other than king of the hill or kdramas.

How I feel about this character?

At first, Mina seemed cold. Now that I’ve seen about 2 seasons, she seems….. Well, cold but at the same time very logical. Liking her more and more every episode.

All the people I ship romantically with this character.

Micah. Micah understands Mina even if she doesn’t always understand the consept of love.

My non-romantic OTP for this character.

AJ Austin. A great mentor for Mina.

My unpopular opinion about this character.

She should’ve stayed with orthopedics. I don’t think cardiology is the best for her. Or maybe she could’ve done both. She wants the best for everybody.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

This is hard to answer. I have no idea.

Conrad Hawkins

How I feel about this character?

Where do I begin? Conrad is the type of doctor everybody needs. Fighting for the best of his patients. Even if it means that he has to Ben’s the rules. I also like how he fights against the American healthcare system.

All the people I ship romantically with this character.

Nic Nevin. But at the same time, I have a feeling that Conrad might be bi. He probably had a boyfriend in high school and/or college.

My non-romantic OTP for this character.

Devon Pravesh. They have a great friendship and teach each other a lot.

My unpopular opinion about this character.

Conrad might be a good doctor but I feel like he could also succeed as a lawyer or as a military officer. Sure, he was in the army but probably not a very high rank.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon?

Probably that he would make peace with Marshall.

Ships Passing Fanfic Recommendations: Minator

Over the course of its run, The Resident has produced some of the best couples in recent memory. And no, we’re not talking about just CoNic, no matter how much we love them.

Mina Okafor and AJ Austin are another major pairing of the show. Their work dynamic, mutual supportiveness and slowburn made them quite compelling. They were the will-they-won’t-they ‘ship of medical dramas! Although their courtship was brief in Season 4, there’s no doubt that they are still a good match for one another. After all, Mina is considered, and these are in AJ’s words, the love of his life.

And there are a lot of fans who love them, too. So we are going to go over the best Minator fics we could find, ranging from new material since 2021 or the classics. Let’s dive in!

Thanks to COVID not many places were opened-many went out of business so there were only a handful of places where this bachelor party could be held.

Summary: She reads the note twice before she drops it back on the counter, even more disoriented than before. Her instincts want to keep being wary, she’s not used to letting her guard down even though the letter is anything but shady. On the contrary, it’s attentive and indicating the effort he puts into their new relationship.Then why is she feeling like it’s messing up with her even more than her own thoughts did before?

Summary: A collection of Minator fics revolving around unrequited love and sexual tension, featuring the original character Mobo Usman.

6. The Life we Lead by Mel2theGonz [M]

Summary: There was only one more word that she could say that would trump AJ’s. One that would verbally express to him what lay in the utter depths of her soul. She had given him her all, her heart, body, blood, and even bits of her being to be carved as a testament to their love. No...she indeed loved him more than she could ever have imagined. And with this one word she knew that he would understand.

Summary: Mina doesn’t break their locked gazes. “Not right now though.” “As you wish,” he flashes her a sinful smile. She wets her lips. Purposefully.

Summary: Set during 4x05. Mina and AJ share another quiet moment in a washed out room.

Summary: He found her in an empty supply closet. This was not the place he would normally look for Mina, but today… Today nothing was normal, as the events of the past twelve hours had shown. Shutdown of a whole hospital, three innocent people dead, another six traumatized and would require further counselor help. One man, mad, armed and wearing explosive materials.

Nic Nevin (The Resident)-Best

I like most that there was no conspiracy or heroic action for Nic death just a single car accident no reason. It's hard to accept but it happens in real life.

Clinton Skye (FBI: Most Wanted)-Worst

why not recast especially with how the plan for the show to stay for seasons.? He only appeared 10 eps. The character being brother in-law was new and a lot stories with jess to tell.

Mina Okafor (The Resident)-Worst

I liked her sendoff. I agree she should mention a few times but not after the 3 years jump. I hope to see Shaunette in new roles soon.

Michael Grant (911)- Worst Best

I'm glad he didn't die. With his sudden exit it's good to connect it to his job too. I'll miss David, he was a welcome addition and made Michael more interested.

Charles (9-1-1: Lone Star)

That episode was so heartbreaking but with the actor wants to leave.

Ellie Bishop (NCIS)-Worst

Agree. For once, I wish they had killed her off. There was no reason of turning her to ziva. They worte a different good character from the beginning married NSA analyst and her journey as an agent. why get fans so invested in nick and Bishop last episodes if Emily is leaving.
