Debling is some crusty OC suitor she barely even knows and Colin is a man who she has been so supposedly in love with to the point where she'd ruin her entire family's reputation to have a potential love story with him. Penelope and Colin have background, years of knowing each other, intimacy that few people in the Ton can boast of having (letters, conversations about purpose, fights and arguments and makeups) and her and Debling have. . .a dance or two at a ball because he's a rebound for Penelope's broken heart. he means nothing. he has no nuance, he has no weight to the story, he is such an afterthought to me. either I wanna see Penelope going 'you know what? I don't even LIKE this dude. he's. . .fine, but I don't care about him even a shred as much as I care about Colin' or the INSTANT Colin's like 'you know what? we should get married' if it's not an immediate 'say less, you're already my husband, try returning me without the receipt, Debling whomst?' then I don't want it!

like. . .it's just so frustrating to see all the 'I hope Debling sweeps her off her feet and she rejects Colin's proposal and she makes him work for it and and and-' nonsense from the fandom and it's always tagged and no matter how many times I block it, it just keeps popping up. I go into the Polin tag for POLIN. I don't give a SHIT about a male love interest other than Colin. Not one. Not a shred. Not an iota.

and also. . .Debling has the 'benefit' of not having depth, or character traits, or HISTORY, so peeps can project onto him however they want, but I'm calling it now, there is NOTHING he could do or be that would make me like him more than Colin. Colin will always hit different, and I will always love him more. and if Pen's not on that same page? lol bye

you want me to believe Penelope and Colin are soulmates and it's romance for her to hem and haw about how difficult a decision it is for her to marry a stranger who knows barely anything about her. . .

Leila was a prominent minor villain when she met Tombstone. She went into a partial hiatus from villainy as she settled down with him and had her daughter, Lorina. She lives a rather happy and healthy life as a relatively normal civilian. However, she hasn't entirely quit her life as a villain, every now and again she'll don her armor and buzz around NY.

During her days as a villain prior to meeting her husband, she was the leader of a small gang. Highly skilled in technology, she built the original suit herself. Originally intending for it to be used for protection and physical enhancement, she was denied the funds and green light to go ahead with her little proposed project.. being told that Stark Industries had made a major ruling that specialized armor production was to be forbidden from being manufactured for commercial or military use. So.. She revised her suit and improved it, making the final product she wears to this day.

Her suit allows her the gift of flight, enhanced strength and speed, and the highly durable armor provides her with protection from most forms of attack. It is mildly bulky, but surprisingly lightweight and easy to move in.

Leila utilized this suit to her advantage and crafted lesser versions of the suit for the handful of people she managed to wrangle onto her side. Her and her gang were often referred to as "The Infestation" from the press.. she felt proud of herself. For a time, at first, she had sought revenge on Stark Industries for denying her the chance to develop her suits for a profit she needed, but after being fought back against by The Fantastic Four, she buzzed off to somewhere else.

Finding her way into Brooklyn, she stumbled across Tombstone. Her gang and his clashed, a near match in strength, both were impressed by the other and settled on a truce, a tie. They worked a few times together, providing the other with their special aid. After some time, Leila and Tombstone had grown close and eventually tied the knot.

The exploits of "The Beetle" and her Infestation gang were almost forgotten by the public, that is.. until they popped up again when the heroic Cryptid Crawler made herself known as an 'enemy' to her dear Tombstone.

part of the tragedy of the clones is the accelerated aging. its inseparable from their creation and their duty. it doesnt just artificially shorten their lives, it concentrates the feelings they have about themselves and their ability to leave/stay and to fight or not fight, because they have half as much time to do anything. if their bodies break down at an alarming speed, theyd probably hate to have to do it outside of what's familiar to them, even if what's familiar is an active violation of their rights. its an artificial life constraint as well as an artificial choice constraint. if you had all the time in the world, you'd probably worry less about why you were put into the galaxy, what your "purpose" was. existentialism is less daunting when you can exist perpetually. not so for clones.

You ever write some shit where you're like 'oh yeah I'm totally just describing what this guy is doing in his free time nothing else im just setting the scene it's unnecessarily detailed for no particular reason' and then realize you are in fact just info dumping about some shit you are interested in actually

#writing about ed edgar raising ball pythons in absurd detail in a story that is absolutely not about that bc i personally love snakes <3 #down to like the specific morph of the snake and how it stays with it's siblings until after it's first shed #as if that has anything to do with anything else that's about to happen after his snake time gets interrupted by the actual plot lmao #also it is a cut over to Ed's perspective after what is just about the most intense scene in this little oneshot I'm writing #which makes it much funnier bc of the sudden change in tone #i mean that was the point. the tone contrast was very much on purpose. but it ended up a lot more intense than i expected lol #anyways I'm coping with no wifi by spending all my time writing some incredibly specific bs when i should be working on inheritance lmao #look sometimes you're running on nothing but five hours of sleep and blorbo thoughts #and you end up spending a day writing 3000 words of an incredibly specific scenario in which said blorbo gets the shit kicked out of them #and then you end the day writing a bit about his friend peacefully raising snakes and listening to cowboy music in the meantime #atlas speaks #side note. the fact that these stupid little personal posts keep ending up on my main is a testament to the power of this fandom #bc this is the type of thing that absolutely would've been quarentine to my personal blog where no one would've seen it a few months ago #so that's kind of cool

Viserys wanted, "needed", a son as his heir so there would be no question of succession. Sooo why was aegon 2 not immediately named his new heir? And if it's a matter of waiting a year or something to make sure he lives then fine, on his birthday? The king can change who his heir is as many times as he needs I presume, it's sort of his right as the top dude. Don't tell me he thought everyone was just cool with rhaenyra as future queen when nobody was cool with rhaenys, including the old king himself

I imagine he likely would have married his daughter to his son were they closer in age to eliminate that problem, but if he did that rhaenyra would have been almost too old to *start* having kids so with that NOT being an option doesn't she immediately take the same cast off position that eldest daughters and second sons do? Am I missing something lol

✂️ - What is one of your OC’s worst memories?

Ooh I get to share some Vex Lore™ :D

Vex’s worst memories are from his child / teen years.

He wasn’t always the Guardian of the Isle of the Moon. The old Guardian had resided on the isle for centuries, delivering messages from the Moone to all who visited. One day, the Guardian disappeared without a trace, leaving the isle abandoned. Nobody knew what had happened, but everyone was heartbroken nonetheless. When Vex was born, he was assigned to take the old Guardian’s place, which sparked outrage among the locals. How could the Legendaries be so cruel to replace their beloved Guardian so soon after they had disappeared?

Vex did everything he could to prove himself worthy of the role of Guardian, but no matter what he tried, he was never good enough for anyone. No Legendaries wanted to mentor him, and no mortal pokemon would accept him as a Guardian Deity. He felt betrayed and abandoned by everyone who was supposed to help him, and believed he was destined to cause trouble for everyone. He made a lot of mistakes that he now regrets, some of which still haunt his memories to this day. If it wasn’t for the guidance and patience of Lunala, he may have never been able to calm down.

🍎 - What is the OC’s relationship with their parents like?

Lunala has always been like a mother to Vex. When he first met Luna, he was very wary of her because he thought she may quit on him. However, no matter how long he anticipated her leaving, she never did. He admires her kindness and patience, and wants to make her proud. Vex doesn’t see Lunala in person as often ever since he completed his Legendary training, but they still talk every night through telepathy. Even when the isle has no visitors, they still like to check in with each other.

Vex has also met Lunala’s husband Solgaleo and their child Nebby, although he admittedly doesn’t know them as well. Nevertheless, they all treat him like family, so he does the same to them.

🎹 - Do they have any hobbies?

Vex is usually so busy that he doesn’t have much time for any hobbies. By night he’s the Moone’s Messenger, and by day he’s tracking down Ultra Beasts, so his schedule is almost always fully booked, which is why he appreciates lazier days so much! When he has some free time, he likes to do relaxing activities, like going for walks and exploring new places. He doesn’t get the chance to stop and enjoy his surroundings very often, so he always appreciates doing so when he can. He also likes pulling pranks on people, and always enjoys a good nap, which isn’t really a hobby (although he’d argue it is lol)

Doppelgänger – The Antlers

the she who is wings-across-night, who is a hunter of the night and best-of-them-all, awakes as she has for many times now to her feathers pressed against the cold, wet surface of a cave, and she grumbles why-you here no-want better there look up up up up yes? up-YES, and she would shriek annoyed listen-here but time has proven that for as much as they are trapped together trapped-with-her is very bad at listening.

about the caves, at least. she is…

staring at the slumbering form of the companion she is unable to fly away from, wings-across-night considers what you.

trapped-with-her has always been…herself, in the sense that a hatchling who bites always at their nest-parents for food is herself, loud and wanting and squawking despite the loud shrieking stop-that from nest-mates and parents alike. they were hatched at similar times, wings-across-night believes, and here now have fledged together, though oftentimes wings-across-night is not sure she has.

to fledge is to fly freely, to greet hello-you to the moon and the stars, to make a nest of your own, to roost always in the tops of trees. here wings-across-night sleeps on cave ground and chases the birds, the ones that trapped-with-her snarls mine you listen-here stop mine give-it, and that break apart in her beak to the sharp tang of magic, and are not actually birds at all.

here she is not even on her own, for there is trapped-with-her always, biting and tossing her head me strong want-yes, and ignoring wings-across-night’s growled no-want.

but here is, she will admit, better than when they were with the-MOTHER still, and it was trapped-with-her who took the metal bars of trap and twisted them open, and said, with a softness she does not often carry, us-together out-there yes? you want?

wings-across-night stretches her talons before her, and considers this.

perhaps today she will catch them both fish.

trapped-with-her is, after all, an awful hunter.

Commentary

ah yes that part of my playlist where even tho its supposed to be sorted alphabetically by song title it sorts every single the antlers song by band name for some reason.

anyways, names! wings-across-night is firefly/the owl beast, and trapped-with-her is what firefly calls eda. it is not a translation of eda's name though firefly does know that the sounds that make up 'eda' are the same person. she's just being very bitter dfkgdfg later on she will go to translate eda as 'chooses-me' because like. c'mon. 'eda the owl lady' is ASKING FOR IT.

this takes place sometime after eda and firefly run away from home! so, late teens-early twenties here. the eda-firefly relationship is actually really fun for me to write in this early stage...they're very much dependent on each other to stay alive, and DO occasionally have moments of bonding....but mostly to eda firefly is just the stupid curse who killed her palisman, and to firefly eda is the reason she's trapped here, so they growl at each other and only stick together bc, yknow, they die if they dont.

its fun!! its also very funny to me that in this point in time firefly is far more perceptive about their relationship than even eda...it takes eda WAY longer to realize that firefly is often trying to talk to her and even longer before she like, actually puts in the effort to talk back.

#sorry i hate the third season of channel zero always have and im speaking my truth now HJKDLSJHFKD #okay like. channel zero in general. the first season is like #i wouldnt say its good. honestly it started okay and kinda intriguing #and then got kinda bad. and then at one point it flipped back around and became camp to me #so i kinda like the first season but through no credit of itself HJKHJKDS #and as an adaptation i thought it was like too confusing for people unfamiliar with the creepypasta but too uninterested in the details #of said creepypasta to appeal to fans of it. but it was a bit camp. a little bit #the second season was fine. it wasnt perfect but i thought it held up decently as a story and as an adaptation #i never got around to watching the fourth season. i hear it was fine #but that third season was WRETCHED i remember it being rated well as a story but it was so like. disrespectful as an adaptation #(also it was too focused on gore and blood for me at the time. like i dont mind gore but it felt so like. meaningless?) #(and i wasnt sure about its depiction of mental health at the time but maybe my opinion would change nowadays it has been a while) #like you got the rights to such a weird and surreal concept and ignored it entirely....what on earth #no baby crying loop in the middle of the wilderness alone....no stairs that cut off your arm cleaning in the woods...NOTHING #literally so tragic. @ nosleep authors and other online horror writers PLEASE watch out when giving out adaptation rights #if i remember correctly the poor search and rescue author got screwed over by syfy which is so sad 😔 #also please publish some kind of paperback version of ur stories for lil ol me. pretty please #basic print on demand is fine id just love to have more creepypasta and nosleep stuff on my bookshelf LOL #also still sad theres no left right game book. blease it would be so good published BLEASE

These were from early this year and her domain has an entirely new design, but I thought I’d share them since I still like them!

Her domain is located in a different dimension called Lightstarius, a realm that’s above the universe. It’s completely inaccessible from space and is an enigma to most of the universe’s inhabitants and only heard about in myths and legends.
