Thinking of an AU with older Sky as king and being told that he has to have another kid by someone who isn’t Sun to continue on a separate line for the future chosen hero because of fate/destiny and what not. Like is it practical? No, but I think it would be fun to explore the insane political and religious mess that it would be, especially with it the beginning of the Hyrulian monarchy since leaving the sky and it would be so spicy and there would be so much tension between him and the chosen MC that I just can’t stop thinking about it.

HC: Ancients & Primates

So we all know the boss of Swallow's Compass Qitian Dasheng, aka this guy here.

Well, what if I told you there are three, other monkey auspices like him and naturally, they are based on the four celestial primates in or mentioned in journey to the west? Here is the story of their creation.

You see Qitian Dasheng was actually the first concept Ananke (my Azem) created as a kid. Originally, the concept was supposed to know transformations, recognize the seasons, discern the advantages of the earth and be capable of altering the course of planets and stars. She was so proud of her work at the time that she managed to convince her childhood friends Hades and Hythlodaeus to make some monkey-like creatures of their own. Even Venat joined the fun, because despite former Convocation member knowing they wouldn't get far she found the children's antics entertaining.

To work with little Ananke's chaotic character, the three made up the following concepts:

Venat created the red-butt horse monkey (yes she gave it that name to make the kids laugh) who had immense knowledge of light and dark's balance, understood man's affairs, was adept at daily life, able to avoid death and lengthen its life.

Little Hythlodaeus created the concept of a long-armed gibbon, who could seize the sun and moon, shorten a thousand mountains, distinguish the auspicious from inauspicious plus manipulate planets and stars.

Finally, small Hades made the concept of a six-eared macaque, who could hear about a thousand miles, had a discernment of fundamental principles, knowledge of past and future and a comprehension of all things.

Obviously, these concepts were rejected on the spot for being considered "too dangerous". However, after the sundering and by various, magical accidents the concepts were eventually given life and now roam Hydaelyn freely.

TO WORSHIP YOU WAS THE GREATEST HONOR ONE COULD RECEIVE. An honor never to be shared nor declared. Selfishness and secrecy were the traits you valued in your followers. You simply felt that flaunting your presence to be superfluous, if not arrogant — thoughtless. A flaw you often saw in other gods that you wished not to have in yourself.

But of course, you were not perfect. No matter how much you may wished to be, even gods had their failures and oversights.

Once such oversight was Ynaël. The Prodigy, Priest of the Night, and your favorite.

He was immaculate. A perfect example of what it meant to worship you. He dedicated his voice, body, and soul only to you. No one knew his name but yourself. No one else knew he even existed. Those that did were sundered from existence, or lived in the afterlife.

You had only the highest of expectations for your child. He had an outstanding beginning. Unprecedented in your long, well hidden line of followers. You called for his name often. Assisted him in the ways you could as a deity in his adventures. Even allowing him to lay with you underneath the stars as mortals and your more carnal siblings did with their creations.

But as mortal beings and gods alike were, when faced with such high praise, it was inevitable for hubris to fester and slowly creep up on him.

He overstepped.

Sharing his devout adoration to his companions. Showering you with praise as he fought. Spreading your transcendent name throughout the very soil he stepped upon, and the crevices of bodies he’d desecrate.

What more was that he was proud of his accomplishments. You deserved to be known. To be remembered and immortalized. To share the spotlight your fellow celestial beings had. Was it not only right that you praise him even more?

But then, he could feel your presence slowly dimming in its luminance.

You never had a temple built to your name, so he could only ponder at night when everyone else had gone off to sleep or have fun underneath the sheets to wonder why you’ve seemingly left him. Was he too harsh? You were known for valuing mercy and forgiveness, the ability to show compassion even to the most tainted beings. Besides, you would never just leave him behind.

Frustrated with your lack of response to his calls, he sets upon a goal to build you a place for worship. One that was overdue in its establishment, in his opinion.

It took many, many agonizing years without a single word from you, but it was finally complete.

He takes a moment to gaze at the statue of your magnificent form he place behind the altar, soon to be covered with sacrifices and blessings. Anything you’d ask for, just as long as you bless him once more with yourself.

But instead, he is greeted by another presence.

A presence very similar to yours. Yet much, much more powerful.

Their voice almost tore Ynaël’s ears wide open in its magnitude.

“You killed them, you — a worthless scum of a mortal.”

Killed whom? Throughout his years working on your temple he had taken no life. He wanted everything to be completed as soon as possible. He had no time for any sorts of conquests.

“Meet your maker.”

An introduction to my LMK characters :D

So I want to give you all an actual introduction to my LMK/JTTW babies-

So this will be that :) (Note: These are their lmk designs, I might post their jttw book designs some other time)

Zhaoyan "Zhao" Whang'e🍑

Zhaoyan is a Peach Maiden with the gift of healing that was passed down to the girls in her family. Zhao is very calm and motherly, she mostly just takes care of the plants and fruits from the Celestial Realm. However when she's not in the Celestial Realm, she's in Megapolis keeping MK company, MK and Zhao have a very Aunty-Nephew relationship.

Though she might seem social considering she's very good with kids and doesn't seem to have trouble with appealing to people, Zhao is very quiet and actively tries not to make many friends. This is mostly because of her past problems with her relationship towards her family and friends. With her leaving her family because of their mistreatment towards her, and the death of some people that were very close to her, who's death she still hasn't fully recovered from. But don't you worry, MK and Mei are working on helping her past these issues with the help of the gang™ >:)

Quanshuǐ Wǔ🌺

Quanshuǐ is a very warm and sweet person! She's talkative and loves animals. Though she is very sweet she's incredibly clumsy, often messing things up. In her past this lead her to be very critiqued by her fellow Flora Maidens, they would nag her day and night about how she just messes everything up. Because of this Quanshuǐ developed HUGE self worth issues and anxiety.... Or at least until she met Zhao

Zhaoyan was the sister Quanshuǐ never had, instead of tending to flowers who won't judge her all day, she was hanging around the many Gardens of peaches in the celestial realm. Eventually Quanshuǐ took a crack at people again by trying to befriend the other Peach Maidens as well, which she succeeded in doing!

The Peach Maiden's are sorta like her aunties now. She still has a bit of anxiety but for once instead of being around people who make her feel worthless over every single mistake, she's around people who love and appreciate her for who she really is :'))

(The sparrow named Huā is Quanshuǐ's best buddie. Quanshuǐ found Huā injured in the forest one day while she was tending to a rose bush. She took Huā to Zhao so she could heal her, and Zhao told Quanshuǐ she could take care of the sparrow because Zhao isn't the best with any other animals that aren't cats lol)

Yueliang "Yue"🌙

(off topic but why my man be standin' there like: 🧍‍♂️)

Yueliang or Yue as they call him, is an immortal Moon Spirit. He was born from a magical orchid that only grows on the Moon and after Chang'e- the goddess of the Moon found him she decided to take Yue in. Even these days he visits Chang'e very very often. Because that is his mama :>

Yue is a very silly and a "talk before you think" kinda' guy. He's very, very, very charismatic, respectless and chaotic. Nowadays he acts as a Jade Messenger because of his incredible speed. He delivers messages from the Jade Emperor to the other deities, sometimes he even delivers fake rude messages just to cause drama. He gets punished every time but he's just like "Yk what? T'was worth it. >:)".

Not to mention that Zhao and Quanshuǐ are his number 1 prank victims. He once turned all the Immortality Peaches invisible and the Peach Maidens & Quanshuǐ were just freaking the heck out, and he was just spying on them being like: Hehe look at them go :D

Wait, Wait. What’s an OCT?

An OCT (short for Original Character  Tournament) is a contest where a number of people pit their OCs against  other people’s OCs in matches, making art that shows their characters  interacting in some way that fits the setting/premise of the OCT in  question. The matches are then judged and a winner is selected.

Basic Premise:

This  is a Worldbuilding OCT where your characters are deities, spirits, mortals, celestial objects and whatever else might be involved in myth and legends. It's on a grid map representing the shell on the titular World Beast, but at the start of round 1, all the tiles are empty - the map gets filled in by the winning contestants. Submissions will be open in-between  rounds, so if you miss round 1, you can still get into round 2. You can also skip a round or two and join again later.

The  winner of each tile gets to set the rough landscape of the tile, and over the following rounds, the world gets more and more solid as people add more and more new and specific things to their tiles.

The fight is not over points, but over the impact you have on this world, and to a smaller extent over the mood of the beast that carries the world.

And while you, the artists, are fighting, your characters don’t need to be - they only need to interact in some way.

Conceit:

The  rounds aren't happening in the present, but in a mythical past, ages of  legend. Each round represents an era of this past, and we get closer to  the present as the rounds go on.

The art pieces created during  the OCT are either historical artefacts left from that era, present-day  pieces about that era, stories that have been told since that era, or  similar things.

The winning pieces are those that reflect the past  more accurately, but the losing piece also exists in the present of the  world, as an in-universe fiction, mistranslation, or similar.

The setting:

A vast, nameless creature in a previously empty reality has learned that there are things other than itself and the void, and so has called out for companionship. Many entities responded, some from other realities, some sung into existence by the beast, some having arrived by other means. They found that it had turned its back into a shell covered in Plains of Potential, which they were invited to shape into  places to their liking.

Character  submissions are open until the 5th of February, and Round 1 will start on the 17th of February and end on the 5th of March. Each round will take three weeks, with one or two weeks of break inbetween.

While the default medium is comics or prose, there may be other types of media used. You and your opponent must agree on what kind of art you use before the round begins.

...I like ocs and the celestials have a lot of people that could watch over mk that aren't like big big known players like bodhisattva or generals and all. My brain just excited on possibilities of many peeps and also ones we know.

tbh that would very likely be the Gold Star of Venus, who is a character in JTTW as well as a deity in his own right xD he dearly wants to look after the kid who's visibly way over his head, plus he'd like to avoid a Wukong 2.0 situation if possible xvx

there's also Muzha, Longnü and Yingge, who also help MK out a lot alongside Hai'er. Muzha is more strict, being the eldest disciple of Guanyin, and really doesn't enjoy losing face thanks to MK's blunders. and there are the four heavenly kings who are keeping an eye on MK's misadventures in the mortal realm from on high, and who also are very strict and no-nonsense.

all that said, Wukong has a host of acolytes himself, as well as servants and secretaries in his heavenly mansion, and they all are at MK's disposal for help. they would fit into the "stressed and trying their best" situation for sure xD

I'm Shrub! I'm an adult, and I use it/he pronouns, no particular preference

Here's some stuff about me!

Things I like, in no particular order:

Team Fortress 2, drawing, Undertale, Deltarune, Blue Eye Samurai, Faith: The Unholy Trinity, FNaF (to some extent), embroidery, Buckshot Roulette, The Arcana (I love to hate it), Will Wood, plant symbolism, SCP (kinda) (mostly just the idea of it), Gravity Falls, Stardew Valley, Empress Theresa (I love to hate it)

143. If you ever wanna know about one, just give me a number and I'll be more than happy to share about that one (or the one after that if that one is boring). I have been coming up with fake guys for about 5 years now, and with all my works-in progress there is going to be more.

What am I working on?

A short story based on "Cabinet Man" by Lemon Demon, from the perspective of the maintenence man that looked inside that thing.

Various analysis of TF2 pairing. No real end goal, I just like thinking about how these weird grown men interact.

A series of short stories about my OC Abe, an android created by a deity, and how he interacts with himself and the world around him.

Short stories about my OC Chase, a bold and stubborn idiot that bought a really, really cheap house. The house is a demon. Near-death shenanigans ensue, but he is too bull-headed to let some peeling paint get the best of him.

An AU about the same stubborn idiot becoming a Fazbear franchisee. Near-death shenanigans ensue, but with enough duct tape and common sense, anything is possible.

My longest official project that I'm still not 100% sure what format I'll be publishing in: A choose-your-own adventure set in the realm of the fae where you play as Mina, who just tripped into this world and has to get out alive.

Another longer project: A (hopefully) novel titled The Faceless King. It's lower priority, but I have a lot of characters crafted and a lot of setting made, so I might show off some of it.

The longest silly goofy project that can and will never be finished, where I take my OC Xavier, toss him head-first into whatever media I like at the moment, and make his celestial partners go find him in a sadistic game of cat-and-mouse. Might post some of this if I have parts I really like.

A shorter, personal, sorta-vent-y project utilising the Software Automatic Mouth, as well as a couple of other projects using SAM.

Any questions about the above things are welcome, and I have so many more characters that I'll probably talk about eventually too! I'm still getting the hang of actually posting to tumblr instead of watching and spam-reblogging from the sidelines, but I do plan on posting at least semi-regularly once I can properly wrangly my executive dysfunction.

The main storyline. Follows the Starborn deity Nebula who left their allegiance to the Stars following the clash of the other three Starborns, the destruction of the First galaxy and the exile of her former partner and mentor Lunar. Their main purpose was to create and destroy celestial bodies; maintain the balance of life and death. And above all, create a galaxy for life to flourish. How hard can that be?

She wanders the galaxy of Startex, seeing their creation through a new perspective of how it feels to live among the Lights. Except the Stars keep seeking her out and it's hard to escape their gazes. And with the introduction of an unfamiliar new deity, something feels wrong within the balance of the celestials.

Follows the story of a former human who found themselves within unfamiliar territory and odd new faces. Novura is a child who shares the body and soul with one who strangely looks just like them, going by the name Voraelis; a restless divine yet weakened soul. The two struggle to learn what it takes to live within an unknown society that treats them alien (ironically), and pick up the missing pieces to their puzzling origin story and why they are the way they became. Even if it is a hard story to hear.

Hardly are the two ever in sync. Novura is an idealistic child while Voraelis tends to be more pragmatic. But once they learn to cooperate, they become one of Startex's most powerful Lights. A little unfair however, considering one is quite literally a god.

Oh, and the heir to the royal throne of Astraeterum falls in love with them; despite it going against his family's wishes.

Within the outer bounds of Startex lies an isolated shrouded planet, and within it, a large facility embedded into the desolate wasteland. Once a renowned scientist and engineer, Trojan was a name praised by the Lights of Akr'byx for his many scientific breakthroughs and technological advances that shaped and shook the region itself before his mysterious disappearance alongside his father and sister.

Two unfortunate humans were taken and given to the scientist as a gift from the Forsaken deity, and with them he experimented on creating the perfect weapon via hybridism. He held an unwavering grudge against the Stars, and he sought to perfect the flaws that they had left behind. The two were his most perfect creations, and they weren't even Startexian.

Their main mission was to destroy their creation. Their only purpose was to serve as a weapon, no questions asked. So why was it so difficult to live beyond that?

A hidden force lurks within the shadows of Startex - the cult of the Dark Star was a feared name that shook many Lights to their core. They were slowly making their presence known to the galaxy, claiming that the Forsaken deity they worship would return and make all wrongs right once again, and that She would bring about the 'Singularity' to perfect their world, as it once was.

Two Lightborns, Luminous and Auros, were able to escape from the confines of Trojan's facility and his cruel experimentations and crashed their escape pod into a planet with unforgiving climates. They scramble for resources, trying to survive in these harsh conditions .. and begin to unravel the mystery of the cult that they just so happened to crash not too far from their stronghold. They were just unfortunate enough to catch the harsh gaze of their leader, High Priest Intoxicate. And he wanted to silent them before their true intentions were revealed to the galaxy.

Epsilon Aberration: A band of three brothers known to take the role of vigilantes as they hopped from region to region. They caught wind of the location of missing scientist Trojan and his operations, and planned to take him and his project down; and liberate his unfortunate specimens and subjects. ✧･ﾟ: > OCs -- [ Comet, Blister, Blaze, Lavender, Nori, Hydraulic ]

Regions: (lore post) Startex is split into around five regions; four of which are 'ruled' by their respective Starborn. Vul'kana is ruled by the Zephyr; Akr'byx is ruled by the Maelstrom; Sonae'ra is ruled by the Elysian; Nyr'vanu is ruled by the Empyrean; and the Hollowed is ruled by no Star.

Startex's power hierarchy: (lore post soon) Starborns are at the top of the hierarchy - they are the deities that created the galaxy of Startex, and maintain the balance of creation and destruction. Only six are known to exist within this universe. Stargazers are just below, birthed by the Starborns themselves. They are demigods, and their power is focused and concentrated on a certain element (i.e. Cassi's is the focus of nature) Primal Lights are the ancient creatures that were there to witness the First Lights of the galaxy. It is unknown where they are now, and are believed to have died out. Lightgazers are lesser powerful than Stargazers but are also born with a focus (albeit weaker). They are born by chance, with a higher chance if the bloodline contains a Lightgazer. Lightborns are the general term for all creatures/denizens of Startex. Any creature born within the galaxy is considered a Lightborn. Impures are creatures of unethical and unnatural amalgamations/hybrids. Not obvious to the naked eye, but according to Gazers their souls are very unstable. Has a shorter lifespan than most Lights.

*Intoxicate is the only known case of a Lightgazer converting into a Stargazer

And for fun .. Cybertoxin is the ship name for Trojan and Intoxicate :3 (all art of the two is tagged with this !!)

Fact 1: Void scarf used to be a pair of wings, but they had changed them to better mange with their……….current disability

Fact 2: Void is terrified of chains, for obvious reason

Fact 3: as mentioned before Void can eat just about anything, including literal stars, they aren’t called a BlackHole deity for nothing

Fact 4: Voids world travel accessory was destroyed when they were sealed, and due to them escaping their prison and ending up on The mortal plane, they are now stuck there, much like how Moon is stuck in the Celestial realm

Fact 5: the main reason they were sealed away was because the other Gods/goddesses feared that if they could eat literal Stars, they most certainly could eat a planet if they wanted to, so in other word they did it out of fear
