Hades knows that if Sun Wukong is actually asking for something/doing a trade instead of straight up stealing it; then it's serious.

I love the idea of Shadowpeach have wedding bracelets/cuffs instead of rings. They def would put a ridiculous amount of thought into the materials (metal and gemstones) used. You know those saps would use sunstones/ and moonstones/opals. I feel like monkey demons likely go that route anyway, since fingers are for eating fruit with and rings could get lost or accidentally eaten.

Also the thought of Sun Wukong doing art commissions for divine favors is delightful. Many belief systems have gods being unable to create works of art (creative sterillity save for the patron gods of said arts), so Wukong being an active content creator would be considered really rare.

Wukong: "I have painted you and your wife on vacation cruise while Cerberus uses Zeus as a chew toy. You can also see Posideon in the background getting the Jaws treatment." Hades: "Love it." Persephone: "It's def going above the mantle."

Flash was panicking, all of the space flying heroes were off planet and he was stuck on monitor duty after slipping some laxative into the mug of an NATO inspector checking out the watch tower to report back to the other nations. Why? Because non-hero suits are just a problem waiting to happen and the sooner he was gone the better. Bats didn't think it was funny in the slightest though. The cause of the panic was the alarms blaring in the monitor room, Watchtower had detected a large celestial object hurdling towards the earth at incredible speeds and given the range of the Watchtower's detection it would impact the earth in forty-five minutes.

"Come on, come on there's gotta be someone in the damn register who can help with this." He spent the next thirty minutes trying to find someone to no avail when a separate alert came through but this time from the earth; a massive energy surge as an object the size of a beachball sped from the earth's atmosphere, its tail forming as it does so.

"What the heck," Flash shouts as he sees it zoom past the Watchtower and into space, moments later the first alarm ceases and the report shows it was destroyed by a comet collision of unknown origin. "Computer track that energy surge on earth and get me a visual." The computer hums and a window opens showing a boy in a black hazmat suit and white hair floating above a park with two other teens. The CCT camera barely picking up what he says. ______________________________________________________________

"Ah dang, kind of let that one get away from me, do you think anyone's going to notice? Atleast I got Overgrowth souped before he got a good root in." The girl scoffs, "Yeah, I'm sure people are just going to ignore a freaking giant ball of ice being flung into space." "Yeah," The other boy speaks up, "Like all the rockets hitting the moon recently. Don't worry about it dude."

Xander, ornithologist and Ph.D. candidate, stands in front of a Director landing craft and secondary generation ship that has inexplicably arrived over 500,000 years in the past. Its mothership continuing on toward its destination, this craft has returned to investigate the sudden loss of communications with all celestial bodies outside of Earth, from which audio signals have become indecipherable and video has become replaced with nothing but the images of what is believed to be members of a long extinct species. The distribution of light on the planet has changed entirely, leading the millions aboard the ships to fear that a catastrophic event has befallen their home. A state of radio silence has been agreed upon aboard the ship.

As the landing craft approaches Earth, eliminating several "unknown bodies" along its path, the governments of Earth are locked in a state of indecision, as they have been for months. As the projected landing site is in arctic Canada, NATO is ultimately granted military control over the situation and as the ship lands, modified roots churning into the ground and surrounding the primary structure as a protective shield, they begin to swarm the site. Scientists too arrive, however, the desire to keep up even a crumb of the secrecy maintained in earlier months is great, and as the first of its many inhabitants emerge, they quickly realize that despite the extensive scientific team assembled, they overlooked taking on a specialist in ornithology. Thankfully, it seems as though one young, but willing, specialist was among those close enough to the landing site to be placed under quarantine, and even as more experienced specialists arrive, he has been incorporated into the long-term team tasked with figuring out one simple question: WHAT THE FUCK?

The World Before

Following the tumultuous aftermath of the Second World War, the global landscape found itself under the sway of two colossal entities, each vying for supremacy: the United States of America and The Union of Soviet Social Republics. Despite their former alignment against the Axis Powers, ideological disparities brewed an enduring enmity akin to the historic Reformation Wars. Nations found themselves ensnared in the clash of titans, yet both superpowers balked at the brink of all-out conflict, fearing the cataclysmic devastation wrought by nuclear annihilation.

Instead, the battleground of this Cold War sprawled across technological frontiers and diplomatic chessboards. Out of the ashes emerged two formidable supra-national coalitions: the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the Leningrad Accords. Though masquerading as mere alliances, these entities functioned more akin to feudal overlords, commanding allegiance from their respective vassal states. Born amidst the fall of China and the tumult in Korea, their primary directive was clear: solidarity among the like-minded—Communist to protect Communist, Capitalist to shield Capitalist.

Within the span of two decades post-war, technological progress surged forward with unprecedented fervor. Man achieved the historic feat of setting foot upon the lunar surface, even as the sons and daughters of Earth perished in the quagmires of Southeast Asia. Barely five years after the lunar landing, the celestial body, dubbed Luna, harbored a burgeoning populace, armed to the teeth and casting a wary gaze toward their ideological adversaries on the lunar horizon.

When the Soviet Union dispatched its Peacekeepers to Afghanistan, their arsenal boasted weaponry hitherto confined to the realm of science fiction. Beams of energy charred flesh as they pierced through opposition, heralding a new era where humanoid mechs strode alongside conventional tanks, and exosuits propelled soldiers to the threshold of superhuman prowess.

This was the world on the precipice—a world entrenched in conflict, yet poised for a paradigm shift. A world bracing itself for the dawn of a new kind of warfare.

Come è ovvio i protagonisti minekurani sono ispirati a quelli dell'opera di Wu Cheng'en anche i nomi sono gli stessi se non per il fatto che sono pronunciati in giapponese, infatti sono:

Sun Wukong—> Son Goku Sha Wujing—> Sha Gojyo Zhu Bajie—> Cho Hakkai Tang Sanzang/Xuanzang—> Genjo Sanzo

Sun Wukong

Egli è il Re delle Scimmie, nato da una roccia sferzata dai vari elementi soprattutto il vento. Tutto il racconto è incentrato su di lui e sul suo viaggio interiore,nonché epico. Dopo aver osato sfidare il Cielo venne relegato dal Buddha (anch'egli sfidato) sulla terra con un enorme montagna addosso per 500 anni. Passato questo arco di tempo verrà liberato dal Bodhisattva Guanyin con la condizione che diventi discepolo di Sanzang.

Zhu Bajie

È uno dei tre aiutanti di Sanzang mezzo uomo e mezzo maiale,nella vita precedente era Tian Peng, Maresciallo della Via Lattea che a causa delle avance nei confronti della Dea della Luna Chang'e rischiò di essere condannato a morte,ma l'intercessione del Grande Pianeta Bianco gli fa avere solo (si fa per dire) 2000 bastonate e una rinascita come mortale. Nel romanzo viene spesso chiamato daizi che vuol dire “idiota” in quanto la sua stupidità e la sua pigrizia si contrappone alla furbizia e all'intelligenza di Sun Wukong. Bajie vuol dire “otto divieti” ed è il soprannome che Sanzang gli ha dato per ricordargli la sua dieta e condotta buddhista.

Sha Wujing

Il suo nome vuol dire “sabbia di pura conoscenza” poiché è un demone fluviale,nella vita precedente era un discepolo delle divinità celesti e in un impeto di rabbia rompe un vaso durante la Festa delle Pesche. L'imperatore di Giada lo punì con 800 vergate e lo fece rinascere tra i mortali come uomo-demone di sabbia. Dalla barba rossa,parzialmente calvo,con una collana fatta di teschi porta con se il yueyachan una sorta di doppia falce il che gli da un aspetto ancora più terrificante. All'interno del gruppo è quello più leale al Maestro, dal cuore gentile, inoltre è il più logico ed educato del gruppo (da non credersi se si vede come è stato sviluppato Sha Gojyo XD).

Tang Sanzang

Egli è un monaco buddhista,il cui compito è quello di recuperare dei Sutra dal Tianzhu (antico nome cinese per “India”) per portare il vero Buddhismo anche in Cina. Nel romanzo lo vediamo spesso e volentieri ingenuo, debole che si nasconde dai nemici,incapace di difendersi, insomma una figura patetica (nulla a che vedere col Sanzo della Minekura). Dopo che i suoi due accompagnatori vennero uccisi da dei demoni,dopo la partenza da Chang'an, il Bodhisattva Guanyin decide di aiutarlo a trovare tre esseri sovrannaturali molto potenti (Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie e Sha Wujing). Durante il viaggio è sempre terrorizzato poiché una leggenda dice che chi consumerà le sue carni diverrà immortale e quindi non stupisce che demoni vari cerchino di divorarlo o di farci sesso (le demonesse).

Bai Long Ma

Pur essendo il destriero di Sanzang, egli è in realtà un principe, per la precisione è il terzo figlio del Re Drago del Mare Occidentale Ao Run e il suo vero nome è Áo Liè. Per colpa di un incendio da lui causato in maniera accidentale e per nulla volontaria, che ha causato la distruzione di una perla data in dono dall'Imperatore di Giada, viene condannato a morte ma l'intervento di Guanyin gli salva la vita. Bandito presso il fiume Yingchou nei monti Shepan e su istruzione di Guanyin, egli dovrà aspettare l'arrivo di un monaco che deve recuperare dei Sutra. Siccome non lo aveva inizialmente riconosciuto, divora il cavallo di Sanzang. Dopo un combattimento contro Sun Wukong nel quale il drago perde, Sun Wukong viene ad apprendere da una divinità della terra che egli è il drago piazzato lì da Guanyin. Alla fine servirà come cavallo di Sanzang per il resto del viaggio, diventando a termine del racconto il Bodhisattva Babu Tianlong Guangli.

Questa è solo un'introduzione molto rapida, vista che m'interessa approfondire meglio le differenze e similitudini che ci sono tra i due gruppi di protagonisti.

Pistoia, presentazione del libro "Un ospedale in cammino dal Ceppo al San Jacopo" Sabato 13 gennaio alle 16.30 nella sala dei ferri chirurgici del Museo dello Spedale del Ceppo in piazza Giovanni XXII sarà presentato il libro Un ospedale in cammino dal Ceppo al San Jacopo. All'iniziativa parteciperanno il vicesindaco e assessore alle politiche di inclusione sociale del Comune e presidente della Società della Salute Anna Maria Celesti, il presidente e il vicepresidente dell'Associazione '9cento rispettivamente Luca Bertinotti e Andrea Nannini. Il libro vuole celebrare, a dieci anni di distanza, un'esperienza unica della sanità pistoiese: il decentramento della struttura ospedaliera primaria dall'ospedale del Ceppo, di origine medievale, al San Jacopo, nato il 20 luglio 2013. Jaeger-LeCoultre è sinonimo di eleganza, precisione e tradizione. Immergiamoci nel mondo di un marchio che con le sue incredibili complicazioni ha segnato la storia dell'orologeria di lusso.

Nel firmamento dei grandi marchi di alta orologeria, Jaeger-LeCoultre occupa sicuramente un posto di primo piano. La capacità di creare movimenti straordinari da oltre un secolo, largamente utilizzati anche da altri marchi, gli ha fatto guadagnare il titolo di “Orologiaio degli Orologiai”. Tutti i componenti dei suoi orologi d’altronde vengono progettati e prodotti internamente, inclusi i movimenti e con oltre 430 invenzioni brevettate, la maggior parte delle quali sono diventate assoluti punti di riferimento nel settore dell’orologeria, e quasi 1.300 calibri unici realizzati, si capisce bene da dove arrivi tutto il rispetto che ha guadagnato nel tempo. Oltre alla sorprendente capacità di creare movimenti ultrapiatti già all’inizio del ‘900 è riuscita anche a padroneggiare le tre complicazioni orologiere più complesse. Il suono, con la ripetizione dei minuti, la precisione, con il tourbillon a più assi e il campo astrale, con lo sviluppo di alcune delle più sofisticate indicazioni celesti che siano mai state mostrate in un orologio. 

La Storia di Jaeger-LeCoultre

La storia di Jaeger-LeCoultre inizia nel cuore della Valle di Joux in Svizzera, nel 1833. Antoine LeCoultre fondò un piccolo laboratorio orologiero che nel tempo si evolse in quello che oggi è uno dei marchi più rispettati nel campo dell'orologeria di lusso. LeCoultre era un inventore nato e per perfezionare i suoi meccanismi nel 1844 creò il Millionomètre, il primo strumento al mondo in grado di misurare il micron, ponendo le basi per l'orologeria di precisione. Nel 1847, introdusse un sistema che eliminava la necessità di una chiave per il riavvolgimento e l'impostazione dell'orologio, un'innovazione implementata nel tempo anche da tutte le altre maison. Quando Elie LeCoultre, figlio di Antoine, si unì all'azienda nel 1903, l'attenzione verso l'innovazione non si fermò, anzi.  Negli stessi anni Edmond Jaeger, un orologiaio di Parigi sviluppò un rivoluzionario movimento ultrapiatto di soli 1,38 mm di spessore.

Tuttavia, non avendo la capacità di produrlo, lanciò una sfida agli orologiai svizzeri. Chi avrebbe avuto la capacità di realizzarlo? Inutile dire che la maison LeCoultre primeggiò su tutti iniziando una proficua collaborazione con Jaeger. La sfida rappresentò un importante punto di svolta nella storia dell'orologeria e portò alla creazione di molti nuovi movimenti ultrapiatti, che ancora oggi sono considerati tra i più prestigiosi e sofisticati da produrre.

La loro collaborazione si rivelò molto fruttuosa tanto che le due maison decisero di fondersi nell’odierna Jaeger-LeCoultre, diventando una delle più grandi e rispettate case orologiere al mondo. Dal 2000 la maison svizzera fa parte dal gruppo Richemont, primo antagonista di Rolex, diventando uno dei leader mondiali dell’alta orologeria e del lusso.

Modelli Iconici

Nella sua lunga storia Jaeger LeCoultre ha realizzato molti orologi diventati vere e proprie icone dell’alta orologeria. Andiamo allora a vedere le creazioni più celebri.

Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso

Presentato nel 1931, il Reverso è sicuramente l’orologio più iconico e riconoscibile della Jaeger-LeCoultre. La sua nascita tra l’altro è davvero particolare. Tutto inizia qualche anno prima quando Cesar de Trey, un uomo d’affari svizzero in viaggio in India, assiste a un incontro di polo dell’esercito britannico lì stanziato. A fine partita uno degli ufficiali si lamenta per l’ennesimo orologio rotto durante il gioco e confida a de Trey il desiderio di averne uno capace di resistere agli urti di quello sport. Tornato in patria, de Trey ne parla con l’amico LeCoultre. Da lì alla realizzazione del sorprendente Reverso il passo è breve.
