the darkest day
the air is a bitter, biting cold
wind swaying half-frozen rain through the trees
the days are dark and bleak
daylight recedes
to the far away places
places that we can only reach in our dreams about warmer weather
the days are short
filled with this seemingly never-ending hopelessness
when you can’t tell if its the middle of the night or five in the afternoon
the sun feels like it may never rise again
like its stuck just behind the horizon
just out of reach
like the light of a dying star in its final moments
the winter has gone on for an eternity
time has lost all meaning
the days blend together is this dark cold slurry
and sometimes we worry
 that it will never end
it will be this lifeless and bleak forever
the darkness will reign a thousand years
but the solstice has come and gone
light creeps in minutes earlier in the morning
it recedes minutes later in the afternoon
the days
still cold and bleak and short and lifeless
glimmer with five minutes of hope
the warm light has started to linger
longer
not sure its quite ready to go
grasping clawing holding on for life
for a few more minutes everyday
before the darkness settles like a blanket over the world again
and spring will come again

"We'll always love you but we will never support you"
as if there can be any love without support
as if saying I love you while driving a knife into someone's chest makes it true
As if saying I love you alone is enough to prove it
I love you so much! That I would never do anything for you
I love you so much! That I'll tell you every chance I get how disappointed it makes me to see you happy
I love you so much! When you're pretending to be who I want you to be
I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you
like ordering a package and getting an empty fucking box in the mail instead
how do you love me if you hate everything about me?
perhaps they don't know what it means to love
because if they did
they would know they never loved me

theres a little girl
asking me to let her see the fish at the aquarium
and I'm scared to let her
I want to hide her away, to say no, to protect her
we're the only one who can, the only one who ever did
and the world is a big scary place
but I let her anyway
she tells me about the clown fish, the mata rays, the whale shark
she tells me about that time we watched finding nemo
her eyes light up excitedly
and for the first time she doesn't trample down that joy
I take a deep breath
and our world is different now

redgie dislikes sweet stuff, he goes for salty and sour food like sour jellies or weird combinations.
millie's favourite era is the romantic era (first half of the 19th century), she enjoys poetry about unfullfilled love and then completely rewrites it so the mcs can have a happy ending.

Perhaps have the bonuses be hidden or partially hidden, some nobleman having a higher dc to convince because the adventuring party is dressed to nicely to have the practical experience for the task, for example
Oh for sure, it’ll be backended. I just have to think up how I’m going to make each look -good- and also in-character.
the NPCs are easy peasy;
Mirku is a half orc bard (mute musician), I’m literally just gonna give her the pure unadulterated “bitch I’ma  fucking noble” treatment. But also maybe use osme spell to enhance the look of her tusk (cause she likes her tusk, is very proud of it, and will absolutely wanna show it off).
Almar is a orc rogue sniper (and an utter elfaboo) so he’ll literally just be dressed in the garb of like, a high elf noble warrior king; which is doubly hilarious because he specifically can recite high elf poetry and shit verbatim.
The party is a bit harder, but I can see most of it;
Then there’s Frankie the Halfling fighter, probably would play up the whole “I am no man” vibe, plain, clean clothing with just enough polish and shine to show that it’s all well used equipment and ready to be used on anyone who gets in the way.
Boyuan the orc witch (brother to Almar) will probably go whole hog sophisticate` because he;s recognized as a hero, but with just this big vibe of witch doctory-ness. So these flowing, beautiful robes and ermine or white fox fur, a fine walking/divining stave, etc, and some kind of realy fancy face painting and his hair done up.
Chakram is a warforged, so he’d literally just get a full once-over polish and shine, and maybe some kind of shawl or tabard, probably with arcane shit on it.
Neezo would....I mean honestly he’s going to either wanna dress like Almar (For reasons) or get something diaphanous and suiting his nature as a smokesoul slyph shadowcaster. maybe black velvet drapeyness over vaguely adventerous/magey garb in dark greys and blues?
Uhtulk is a brewmaster and a follower of Cayden; so I’m vibing something like much more commonplace than the insane drip of everyone else, but also filled with all these subtle nods to cayden, brewing, etc.
Meri, the one-armed summoner and her pet demon thing are a lot harder; pet demon probably could just get given a fringed and embroidered toga dealio and look properly noble/spooky, but for Meri, how do I deal with her missing hand? Show it off or hide it? Asymmetric  matched outfits, mirrored to underline that Meri’s right hand is the demon in question would be a cool vibe, maybe.
Just this sort of matched color scheme and vibe saying “we’re here together, fuck around and find out”

The First of Many
Queen Family first day of Hanukkah
The night had been just about perfect, all things considered. Sure when the new year rolled in a few weeks from then, Oliver knew there would be many more things to deal with. The team was broken, and not likely to repair any time soon. He was still under indictment, and would have to face a trial eventually. And none of that compared to when they’d have to deal with Cayden James, and whatever he had planned. But those were things he’d save for later.
Felicity was lying with her head on his lap, a content smile on her lips. William had went to bed over an hour ago, and Donna had left with Quentin about the same time.
“Thank you,” she whispered, threading her fingers through his, holding their hands to her heart.
“For what?”
“Being you,” she replied, opening her eyes to look at him. “For accepting me for who I am, every single part. For wanting to learn about my traditions and where I came from.”
“First night of Hanukkah’s got you waxing poetry. I don’t exactly hate it,” he grinned, dropping a kiss to her lips. “You know how much I love you. And this was just the first of many Hanukkah’s togetherI cannot wait to see what happens tomorrow night, and the next, and the next."
“Well don’t be surprised if my mom brings over more gifts for William as the week continues,” she smirked. “I think she’s convinced he might be the only grandchild for a while.”
“I wouldn’t hate giving him a sibling,” Oliver teased. “I mean the practice part would be the most fun.”
“Well yes, I agree with you there husband.”
“Wanna go get started on the practicing?” he untangled their hands, but pulled her to him as he did.
“In a minute,” she kissed him, as she stood. “I have one more Hanukkah present. It’s for you.”
“Felicity, I don’t need any gifts,” he called as she hopped towards the other side of the room. “I have you.”
“While that is very sweet, and I appreciate it. I already wrapped this so,” she sat back down setting the gift on his lap. “You have to open it, it’s addressed to you.”
He sighed, but smiled as he took the bow from the box, pulling it until it felt to the sides. Next he gingerly lifted the lid and set it aside.
Inside the box sat a photo album, it looked worn and the front picture was fade with the passage of time. But he recognized the photograph. It was a very young Oliver, holding Thea in his arms.
“Felicity, how did you?”
“Don’t get mad,” she pursed her lips as she nestled in closer. “I asked Thea if I could go through your storage unit to find something for you. And I came across this. After that.” She flipped towards the back, where several pictures he didn’t recognize were. “I sort of hacked into Samantha’s Facebook page. There’s a time frame before everything gets scrubbed. And I printed out some photos of William through the years. They start from when he’s a baby, and go until just before Chase. So I thought you’d like to have--”
Oliver pulled her to him, kissing her with so much love he thought he would burst. “You didn’t have to do this Felicity.”
“I know I didn’t have to, but I liked doing it. Besides, you should compare yours and William’s baby pictures. It’s like looking at twins,” she squealed, flipping between the two pages. “Goodness, if the rest of our kids look like this, we will never be able to say no to them.”
“I think you mean, you won’t be able to say no.”
“Excuse me I have an iron will.”
“Tell that to the ten donuts you let William eat tonight.”
“It’s Hanukkah you cannot fault someone for over indulging in the finer things,” she laughed. “Besides none of this would have happened if you were just a mediocre cook.”
Guess we’re both at fault then.”
“Guess so,” she nipped at his ear and smiled. “You gonna take me to our room now?”
“As you wish, my dear wife.”

there is comfort in the way the anger feels
boiling just to the edge
burning
screaming
searing
a rage that could destroy
but you can only hold on to it for so long
before it slips through your fingers like every good memory you've ever had
anger is survival
anger is hiding
anger is safety
but what's left when you can only be angry at yourself?
all the rage in the world won't bring you home
but home is all I've ever wanted to be

The irreconcilable pieces of the self
There are pieces of me that I have left in every place I have ever been
Fragments that get stuck in the carpet, in the floorboards, anywhere there is an untouched place of refuge
My ghosts snake their way into the concrete foundations
A little girl's voice echoes from the dark of the closet
from the stairwell
from underneath the beds
from the old rotting treehouse that was there before me
And I want to reach through time and offer her my hand
but she could not rest then
and she will not rest now
There are pieces of me that I have left in every place I have ever been
There's a teenage boy stuck looking out the window
basking in the street light
packed bag clutched close to his chest
Tonight Tonight Tonight he repeats
The streetlight glows brighter than the moon, a warm loving light
he almost falls into its embrace
but the miles of cold darkness are a little less welcoming
And I want to reach through time and open the window just a crack
enough to know the air was safe
but he did not leave then
and he won't leave now
And there is a teenage boy forever pacing a yard
his tears falling like rain on the grass
pacing pacing pacing desire paths into the dirt
he's trying to get away but he always ends up back at the start
And I want reach through time and hand him a flashlight, tell him to keep going
but he was scared then
and sometimes he's still scared now
And there is a teenage boy trapped
stood in place
fight flight or freeze and he freezes
vines slithering up his legs
cementing his feet to the ground
roots digging deeper and deeper in a place where nothing can grow
And there is a teenage boy screaming
at his parents
at his teachers
at his friends
at anyone in the world brave enough to listen
Fuck you Fuck you Fuck you
And he sobs and pounds his fists against the walls
demanding to be heard this time
and he reaches through time
his voice cracking, tears forming in his eyes
and he asks
"Is it ever worth it?"
And I grab his hands in mine with all the beauty and kindness of hindsight,
It's almost over
It's worth it, please it's worth it
And I hope he can hear me

Arrow 6x12 Review
Hi everyone this is my first review if you guys like this please follow. If you do not it’s okay i’m just doing this for fun. If you guys want me to continue let me know.
Anyway I know Arrow has a really tough plot this season i mean it’s sometimes good then it’s bad. The whole Cayden James drama is really getting  a little rocky but i will talk about it later. So Arrow episode 12 titled All For Nothing. Let me just say that the episode itself was great but i have a few moments in the episode i did like and did not like.
          1. Olicity: I love Olicity this episode for that brief moment in the episode. i love the husband and wife dynamic they have. It was a cute scene where they talk about their honeymoon. Suggestion end of season 6 Olicity honeymoon.
         2.  Rene: i did not like Rene in this episode of Arrow. He was extremely rude saying; “Can we hurry this up i don’t want to be here.” lf i was Felicity i would say Rene did you go to MIT? Do you major in digital technology or computer science? Do you know how to hack into a server? If you can’t do none of these things then i suggest you put your foot in your mouth and wait. Rene never apologise for giving Oliver up which is pretty stupid.
       3. Dinah: I did not like Dinah this episode either like yeah a part of me is sorry for vincent but i could care less about the character. Vincent was never really going to last anyway i’m letting you guys know right now. Second, did the writers say that dinah would get a new love interest. To me i’m thinking that it’s someone new but know her love interest turns out to be her dead boyfriend!! What kind of lie did the writers led us to. Moving back to the whole issue with the character here getting a little bit off course. Dinah was like had so much raw emotion in this episode seriously when i looked at her flashbacks i didn’t even care. I mean we already know what happened why do we have to see the origin of her powers and her relationship with her dead boyfriend.
    4. Not Team Arrow: Curtis, Dinah, and Rene are in my you need to go list. I mean when it cam down to save the city they chose one man over thousands. Then Dinah's’ dumb tail going to tell Oliver and Diggle that if layla or Felicity in the same position as Vincent it wouldn’t be up for a debate. First of all it was Vincent who signed up to go by himself. Second, You would rather save one man than thousands it’s stupid. Lastly, Even if it would have been layla and Felicity in that type of situation i believe that Oliver and Diggle would try to save the city first but in the process find a way to save their love ones. I am still pissed that they went to save Vincent and not get the stupid bomb. Don’t get me started on Rene because he was like i guess you have to figure it out on your own hoss. How would they figure out hoe to get the bomb when there is only two of them. Then there’s Curtis he didn’t do anything to piss me off like Rene and Dinah did. As a whole they were like hey we were going to tell you guys we were working with vigilante eventually that’s what Curtis said. For me personally when you said eventually that you’re going to tell someone something means never. Like Oliver, Felicity, and Diggle shared information with them when they needed but the rest of them didn’t share the information back because of lack of trust.
Okay i think i pretty much made my points for this episode. As for the NTA and the OTA dynamic it is really stupid. Don’t get me wrong i love OTA since the beginning of the show. It was the one thing i loved about Arrow. NTA is just stupid and kind of piss me off . They are going to get on my nerves next week. So as i close this out let me know if you guys like to here my thoughts if not you can always check out my page for poetry. I have a hobby of writing it

🎥 📇
🎥 Does any alter(s) want to start/already have a YouTube/Twitch channel? (For gaming, art, etc.)
Riley has a Youtube channel! It’s been a little bit quiet lately but things have been a little strange so there hasn’t been much time to post more videos. Logan helped write the psychology/video essay type stuff, but it was a passion project between Riley, Emmy, and Tristan, for sure. More recently there have been a lot of original songs up on the channel, and they’re mostly taken from mine or Riley’s poetry sometimes Cayden’s too! He’s an incredible writer. I think Emmy and Tristan are itching to put more content up.
📇 Did you choose your name? Or did you just have it? If you chose it, how did you choose it?
That’s a bit of a difficult question! For a long time before the OSDD diagnosis Riley was already “aware” of us as characters she had made in her head to help cope. She thought I reminded her of Patton from Thomas Sanders’ series, and called me Patton before we were officially “introduced”. I suppose I feel pretty connected with him, but my name is Pat instead of Patton, because 1. I’m very different from the character and 2. I’m not even male! I appreciate the androgyny of my name :) I guess I didn’t choose my name, but I chose a variation that I felt more comfortable with.
Thanks so much for asking! Feel free to ask more, we love doing these :D
