#i'm gonna fail all my classes but like with pride <3 #bc i cANNOT take another semester of -seeing both sides- when discussing the civil war #fuck the south and slavery and white supremacy!!! #and i'd shut up and mind my business if there was like an OUNCE of racial diversity in the department #but there's not #it's just a bunch of old white people talking abt slavery and racism #like... shut up #just stop<3 #they're not doing it in a productive way #they're just adding to the ways that history is an often inaccessible field to bipoc bc of how triggering and traumatic it can be in general #when there's such HEAVY emphasis placed on colonization and white supremacy and slavery #i've heard that causes a lot of bipoc to feel turned off from the field bc of how overexposed those topics are #so maybe #just maybe #if i piss off ALL my history teachers enough #they'll rethink their curriculum next year <3 #bc rn it's all just ~slavery happened and the civil war happened and racism was a thing glad that's over!~ #and like faaake social justice/liberalism that's just -look how good we are for barely scraping the surface of these issues:)- #with the exception of ONE teacher who is department chair starting next year #and i adore her to the ends of the earth #hopefully she can bring some real change #but until i see that happen i'm gonna keep writing these strongly worded essays and pissing off my teachers<3

Personally, I thought it was. Nothing stood out to me when I was flipping through it that made me stop. I did the same with we have lived in the castle only it interested me enough to go back and re-watch it in full. The cuts, I get why he did it, but it was way too jarring in my opinion. There were a lot of part in the scene that it was future then it was past, then future again, then past. It wasnt my favorite tbh. It seemed to be shot up close and personal to everything so half the time I was wondering where the heck they were cause I could only see their faces. And the story line seemed like straight from a wattpad story written by a thirteen year old. I get the message, I'm not saying it doesn't mean anything to someone, but it wasn't executed as well as it could have imo. That and I can't take cringe and literally every time they talked it was... Well cringy. I dunno I'll probably get someone whodr mad about this opinion but nothing stood out to me and I wouldn't reach to watch it again.
