ok so given everything went well the the Bride’s Reanimation what exactly did Dan decide to do? Because while he did agree to her creation with the agreement that she would be his replacement Meg, she’s not she has a different brain and based on what we saw a different personality what will Dan’s reaction be if she’s not what he originally wanted? Will he get discontent and look for happiness elsewhere like he did with Herbert? Will he resent her for not being Meg? Even if she was similar enough for him there’s no guarantee that she would love him back, which is extremely understandable since he is essentially her parent. What if the Bride just isn’t into Dan at all and just wants a dad? Will he leave? Will he blame her? Will he blame Herbert? Will he just lose it and try to inflict harm (he’s not emotionally stable especially not when it comes to romance) I’m kinda curious to know what will happen

#Overall the sci-fi move genre(?) of male doctors/scientists creating women in order to cure the guilt they feel for playing a role #In a lover’s death is its whole own thing and can say a lot about bodily autonomy and gender roles being projected onto the creation #Because at the end of the day these creatures are being created with the very specific goal of fulfilling a specific role #That the doctor thinks he needs in his life/overall being there to be a particular thing to the doctor #And never once does he actually stop the think about the ramifications of his actions and the effects it can have on him and his creation #Like what if it doesn’t make the creature happy? What if they can’t do it right and make him resentful? The never think #Actually this isn’t even just about creating women(or what is supposed to be a woman) #All doctors in media we see creating artificial life do it with the very express purpose that the creature will fulfill a perfect role #The perfect wife or or son or lover #Whatever this role is they all have specific thoughts on how the creature should act and want to enforce that onto them #Also let’s not even get into the problem of creating a creature specifically to be your lover because the consent there is dubious at best #Because do they have the minds of children at first? Sometimes it annoys me so much when I ship problematic stuff. Not in the sense that I don't like the problematic elements - I love them, a lot of the time. Age gaps, incest, abuse, all those things can add plenty to a dynamic. They have unique elements that would drastically change the relationship if you took them away.

But occasionally, I come across ships that would work just fine if you removed the problematic elements (especially with age gaps) and it frustrates me so much that because of one element, tons of people will never give the ship a second thought, no matter how deep and interesting the dynamic is. They'll always remain unpopular and hidden away to avoid harassment. It's such a fucking annoyance.

hm. okay someone said something on twitter that got me thinking. okay i am very firmly a yoohan truther supporter lover all that stuff. and i think there are many situations in which they can be and will be together in some shape or form, without kdj. coming to mind instantly are the three year gap, 1865th round, and 1863rd round. prime yoohan material. but at the same time i think these situations are sort of haunted by kdjs absence, and/or really set up to fail. yoohan are people who work well together in achieving a shared goal, for better or for worse. like with 1863 - which would have the least amount of kdj influence - they are pretty much on a path of mutual destruction, hastened by one another. all of these situations, in which theyre working together for some reason or another, it never feels like they can bridge in to anything really vulnerable, you know? i love yoohan on its own, and i do think they can get shit done on their own, but at the same time, kdj coheres them in a way i dont think they can really achieve without him being there. do these words strung together like this make any sort of sense.

#this post is simultaneously about darth vader and general ironwood #they're both fascist militarist leaders who initially had pure intentions but gave into fear #one was so afraid of losing the one he loved he sacrificed his humanity for power to protect her #and lost her anyway and just. shut down emotionally and kept on his path because he saw no way out #and the other was so terrified of failing that he blocked out all compassion to attempt to focus on the best logical option #sacrificing everyone around him to achieve his goal of ultimate pragmatism #and inevitably destroying himself in the process #they're both villains and this is in no way trying to forgive either of them #just thinking about it y'know? #like if either one of them had gotten decent therapy before they turned for the worse #they could've done so much good for their respective worlds #but they didn't and that's that #and yes. in the end vader sacrificed himself to aid his son and attempt to make amends #and so yeah he chose good in the end and that redeems him In A Way #but it doesn't negate the death and suffering he caused around a whole Galaxy #i recognise his tragedy and his choice for good in the end #but i really don't like how so many in the sw fandom are like 'oh he was purely a good guy then' like no actually he was still a fascist #like he could be sitting there killing people and thinking 'this is wrong' but he's still doing it.

totk has flaws like any game but tbh it has easily met and perhaps exceeded my expectations. BOTW was like my fav game ever but totk is EXCELLENT and has so much more to do in it too

#nerd alert #flaws include: addison. i dont like him #also the voice acting in english is clumsy but that was true in botw too #i do kinda resent the fact that the story seems a lot more linear. and that the overall goals are less clearly defined from the start #but thats a weird complaint to make about a video game lol #botw was so invredibly simple it was basically like. beat these 4 minibosses. theres a few quests leading up to them. also do those #then beat big bad guy. the end #everything else was optional. hell even THAT was optional. only requirement was beat big bad guy #which is why the speedrun takes under half an hour and about 2/3 of it is spent on the unskillable tutorial area #now its like. well we dont really know whats going on. dont know where anything is going really. go do some quests tho #also as for its linearness. in botw you could pick which divine beast to go for furst #the obvious correct choice was vah ruta bc it was the easiest but like it wasnt required. you could do the others first #but in totk i tried doing the death mountain stuff BEFORE the rito stuff and i was NOT ready for all that. #the rito stuff isnt a walk in the park but after trying death mountain its like. more obviously Early Story #death mountain stuff just got me all confused!!! #im worried about zelda...
