— You lost! Show it! — Gladio shouted right next to [Reader's] ear.
— You cheated — she gasped, clutching the wooden sword.
— All's fair in love and war!
— We're not at war, we're just doing training exercises — the little girl replied.
She wasn't happy with the sparring result but she kept her promise. She rolled up her sleeve, revealing the tattoo on her forearm. The black line formed an ornately written "Farewell"
— I was hoping for something better.
— Do not get smart up. You don't have the skill yourself yet.
— It won't be easy to find a soulmate with something like that. I hope my skill will be better.
The girl didn't want to admit it but she was thinking exactly the same thing. Many people were given simpler instructions. She has always dreamed of a timer or a red thread. They didn't require much attention. Meanwhile, she was given a word that anyone could have said to her.
— Maybe I'll hear my soulmate say goodbye to someone? Or will this be a slogan describing our entire relationship? You know... we'll be such a nice couple that we won't want to be apart?
***
[Reader] stared at the three friends who had come to the training ground. She was glad Noctis wasn't with them.
She thought no one would come here in the middle of the night. She had been able to avoid meetings over the past few days but it seemed like that wasn't the case this time.
— I don't want to talk to you.
She swung her sword, practicing the sequence.
— Listen, you can just sit here for me but he doesn't want to go anywhere without you...
Gladiolus didn't finish his sentence because Prompto kicked him in the ankle with all his might.
— How can you say such things to a girl? — Prompto was outraged. — Sorry, I have to send a text message quickly. — He took out his phone.
Ignis looked at the other two and sighed. He adjusted his glasses. He felt the need to do this whenever he got irritated.
— Why are you avoiding the prince?
— Damn it! We all know why. We are not making idiots of ourselves.
King's Shield was tired. He wanted to put the whole trip behind him. Altissia was far from Insomnia. They had a long journey ahead of them and he felt like he was babysitting Noctis instead of preparing for it.
The prince insisted that he wanted to see [Reader] at his wedding to Lunafreya. He proposed it to her and she awkwardly excused herself and they haven't seen each other since.
— Wait... so we know why she's avoiding him? — Prompto frowned in concentration.
It took him a few seconds to understand what Gladiolus was talking about.
— Aaah... That's what you mean... — He tapped his forehead lightly.
— Let's end this circus. You're coming with us. Even the king said it was a great idea.
— He didn't give me an order.
[Reader] knew she was arguing like a little child but she had a hard time hiding her reluctance.
— Stop being so selfish! — Gladio knocked the training sword out of her hand.
He did it easily. He surpassed her in terms of physical strength. Not to mention his skills were next level.
He froze the moment he saw her face. The moonlight helped him see tears in the corners of his eyes. She turned her head to wipe them gently.
He felt guilty.
They had been friends since childhood.
— Damn it! — He pinched the bridge of his nose. — I'm sorry, okay? I'm just... fed up with it.
Ignis didn't say anything. He looked at him reprimandingly and Gladio realized that he was in for a good sermon. Ignis took an embroidered handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to the girl. She accepted it gratefully.
— It's not your fault... none of you... Let's be honest, neither is it Noctis's fault. But so what? Should I be a bridesmaid at a wedding I don't want to see? Watch someone I've been in love with for so many years get married? Congratulate my rival with whom I never stood a chance? I want Noctis to be happy but... that doesn't mean I have to watch it all.
The girl felt all the emotions she had been carrying since the announcement of the engagement slipping away. Grief gripped her heart and the words stuck in her throat. Her fingers tightened around Ignis's handkerchief. There was a deafening silence, broken only by the night chirping of crickets.
The friends looked towards the entrance. She followed their gaze.
He stood there.
— We'll leave you two alone — Prompto suggested.
He hoped [Reader] wouldn't find out that he was the one who notified Noctis via text message. Otherwise he would be in big trouble.
— I think we need to talk — said the prince.
— You didn't overhear everything? — she asked bitterly.
Blue eyes stared at her intensely.
— I want you to tell me about it properly now.
— NO. — She sat down on the stone wall. — Do you know why? Because it doesn't make sense. I won't change anything.
— You know...
— I know! You are responsible for Lucis... And you will be king one day... And you love Lunafreya... And we need this marriage...
Noctis looked at the brightly shining moon above his head.
It was as if in its light he could no longer hide anything.
He felt he had failed as a friend.
He knew for a long time. He just never wanted to let that thought come to the fore. It was easier to push it to the bottom of his mind and tell himself it was just a delusion. He was afraid to face a feeling he didn't reciprocate.
— [Reader], if you had told me earlier...
She felt a pang in her chest. He had no soulmate skill. Fate didn't decide for him. He chose Luna of his own free will.
— I wouldn't change anything. You love each other and I want you to be happy but please — she took a deep breath — don't make me go there. My heart can't bear it.
In her imagination she saw a beautiful bride. Blond curls were tied up in a high bun and the white dress rustled with every step. The Oracle held a bouquet of her favorite blue flowers as she looked for her fiancé.
Her fingers gripped the stone tightly.
He could give an order if he wanted.
— Then stay... but promise me our friendship won't end like this.
The prince felt that the thread that had connected them for a long time was breaking. He wanted desperately to save it, even though he felt it was over. All the years they spent together were gone.
— I promise that I will come after the wedding, together with your father, when I get myself together a bit. — She headed towards the exit.
— Farewell — he said with a slight smile.
She glanced briefly at the tattoo that had been with her for many years.
She didn't answer him.
***
— What is it about? — Noctis asked.
Ignis entered the room with a newspaper in his hand.
— Read it.
The Fall of Insomnia , said the headline. Gladiolus read it aloud, feeling growing anxiety.
— Is this some joke?
The prince wanted to tear out the newspaper and make sure he had heard correctly.
— There was an attack. The Imperial army has occupied the capital — Gladio continued. — The Treaty Room flashed brightly. Explosions were also heard. When the smoke cleared, the king was found... dead. — Gladio looked up.
— No... But... Wedding... Altissia...
— I know. That was the plan but... all the headlines in town can't be wrong.
Ignis looked at Noctis with regret. There was no way there could be a mistake.
The boy felt his heart beating fast and a cold sweat break out on him.
— Liars! — he shouted. — We have to check that.
— Shall we turn back? — Prompto assured.
— Yes.
***
— Betrayal! Protect His Majesty!
[Reader] managed to kill three opponents before she fell to the ground. Lights flashed all around and a loud explosion deprived her of hearing.
She put her fingers to her chest in surprise. A red, sticky liquid flowed from the deep wound. She tried to make a sound but was interrupted by darkness.
***
— Maybe these will be the last words you hear from him? He'll see you and decide it's time to say goodbye or something — he laughed.
— Gladio, I'm going to kill you!
— I'd like to see you try — said the new, short, dark-haired boy.
He poked his head out from behind one of the pillars and curiously walked to the middle of the training ground.
— I think it's time for me to introduce you to the spoiled prince. Noctis Lucis Caelum and his titles that I don't feel like listing...

Junior Monster Hunter -Noctis Lucis Caelum-
masterlist | request
Prompt: Can I get ffxv noctis x reader where the reader asks him to look after their little cousin around the age of 7 for the day, the kid is very rambunctious and likes to blow things up for science and also to fight demons. Can I get noct’s interaction with them. Since he’s not that good with social skills and with small kids in general and has to balance that with fighting monsters?
Pairing: Noctis Lucis Caelum / Reader
Summary:
Word Count: 1.0k
Tumblr media
Noctis is someone who is naturally awkward around people in general, that is especially true for children.
So when you asked him to watch your cousin for the day, The prince instantly wanted to say no. However when he saw the sweet hopeful look on your face, he couldn’t say disagree.
Once the nod brought his head up and down, your arms around their way around his neck to bring him into a warm hug.
As your whispers of gratitude filled his ears, his mind and heart battled. His mind wanted to come up with a quick lie about his father needing him, or already made plans with Prompto for that day.
While his heart only heard your excited, joyous words thanking him for agreeing.
His arms made their way around your waist, pulling you closer to his cheat. A smile rested on his face at the soft contract. For a moment the prince forgot what he agreed to, until you pulled away and started speaking.
“So my cousin is about 7. They have a lot of energy so you can’t just sit around all day, and please don’t take them fishing. They’ll just get bored and scare all the fish off. Oh and they’ll be here around 11.”
Noctis watched in shock as you maneuvered around the room talking while gathering all your belongings. The words quickly falling from your lips, go in one ear and directly out the other. Before he could ask you to repeat yourself, you’re already halfway out the door wishing him a good day.
♡♡♡♡♡
Noctis spent the next few hours pacing. For every activity he thought of a downside would cross his mind.
He thought about just staying inside and watching television all day, but they could have just done that at home. Maybe he could show them around Insomnia. Let them see places they normally would never see, but who wants to spend the day walking around.
Before the prince could think of a solid idea a knock came on his door. A timid voice called out his name, a voice he quickly recognized as your relative.
As soon as he opened the door, his mouth open along with it to ask questions. But he was stopped when a young kid was pushed passed him and he read your family members rushed words.
“Thank you for watching them on short notice. I’m running last already sorry.”
Once again Noctis stood stoned as the door slammed. He processed the encounter until an unknown voice spoke up “So, what are we doing today?” They spoke so fast Noctis had to repeat the sentence several times just to understand them.
“Uhhh. I didn’t really have anything planed. “ Noctis scratched the back of this head and glanced around the room, hoping an activity would pop into his head.
Sadly that didn’t happen. Instead the prince stood awkwardly inside his own home while a kid he’s never meet waited for Noctis to entertain them.
“What do you like to do for fun?” Noctis asked. The young kid thought for a moment before starting to spew out different things he liked to do. Most were normal thing he could do at any point. However one thing stood out to the young man.
“I like fighting monsters and deamons.” The kids response was timid but still caught Noctis’ attention. “My mom doesn’t like when I do it since it’s dangerous.”
Noctis thought for a moment before holding out his hand to summon his sword. The moment the bright blue light began to swirl around the royal’s hang, the young kid face lights up. A loud gasp filled their ears as the Engine Blade appears.
“Well, your mom isn’t here now. So you wanna go kill some?”
Your cousin couldn’t contain their excitement as they rush over to the door and swung it open. Noctis let out a deep chuckle before following after.
♡♡♡♡♡
Once the pair made it outside the monster free confines of the city, the sun has begun to set. For a moment Noctis considered turning around and heading back towards safety. Yet as he look sideways towards kid and saw the amount of joy they had, it made him drive even faster.
“Look!” Your cousin suddenly shouted.
Noctis slammed on the brakes and looked over towards a shadowy green field with several Goblin and a few Imp messing around in the grass.
Noctis putt over to the side turned the car off. Before they could jump out, Noctis grabbed the kids out.
“I know your excited but right now it’s too dangerous. I’m going to go in and narrow them down a bit. Okay?” The young kid scoffed and began to argue, but stopped when they saw the serious look on the prince’s face.
Noctis offered a small smile before hopping out of the car.
Within a few minutes the once large group has been dwindled down to only a few weaker deamons. With a hang movement, Noctis motioned the kid to join the fight.
Your cousin ran in with a scream and started slashing the enemies. Noctis stood back and watched carefully, ready to jump in at the first sight of danger. Once all the enemies were eliminated the young one stood up straight and turned to the older man with a shy smile on his face.
“Not Bad” Noctis spoke before turning to walk back towards the car
♡♡♡♡♡
For the next few hours the pair drove around, defeating deamons whenever they could. Slowly Noctis to see the once energetic kid slow down to the point they were falling asleep in the passenger seat.
This made Noctis himself begin to feel his own tiredness slowly take over.
Not long after Noctis placed your sleeping relative on the couch, you walked through the door.
At first sight of the sleeping child, you instantly quiet your actions. Carefully you walk back to the bedroom and change into different clothes.
“Did you have fun?” You asked once back with the sleepy pair.
Noctis glanced down at the child sleeping on the couch before looking back up at you, and when a soft smile on his face, nodded.
“Yeah I did. I’m glad you asked me to do this.”

Hello, watching the South Park special about the panderverse, I came up with a headcanon for Final Fantasy Assassin's creed prompt from Relaxing One's Muscles to Take a Fist, by that I mean that you (if you can, only if you can) write what the scene or story would be like (as you did with the Assassin's creed prompt from Relaxing One's Muscles to Take a Fist in which based on the Dada idea you wrote parts of the fic before completing it and uploading it to your page on ao3).
Here is the headcanon: Noctis after marrying Lunafreya, is somewhat upset because Lunafreya had to emergency abandon their honeymoon in altissqia to attend to an emergency, Lunafreya tells Noctis that she is staying and enjoying the stay since she will not be able to return in time, Noctis in a moment of weakness is about to call a prostitute but is interrupted when Gladio arrives to ask why Lunafreya left, when Noctis explains everything and what he was about to do, Gladio to prevent Noctis If he gets in trouble for calling a prostitute if Lunafreya or Ravus finds out, Gladio proceeds to fuck Noctis.
Meanwhile Ravus is happy that his sister has to leave Noctis on their honeymoon, but then begins to suspect that Noctis might be cheating on his sister, so he asks Ardyn to go investigate what Noctis is doing. Ardyn upon arriving in Altissia sees that Gladio is fucking Noctis, after hypnotizing the two and finding out why Gladio is fucking Noctis, Ardyn decides to join, after Ardyn has fucked Noctis he comes up with an idea , he returns to Ravus and while he sleeps he hypnotizes him to believe that he loves Noctis and that the reason he hates him is because he really loves him, after having hypnotized Ravus Ardyn returns to altissia so he can continue fucking Noctis, Meanwhile, Ravus, asleep, dreams that he is fucking Noctis twice in the throne room of the citadel in front of everyone.
As the days go by Ravus receives photos sent by Ardyn in which Noctis is seen being fucked by various men (Gladio, Prompto, Ardyn, Nyx, Cor, Ignis) all with their faces covered (except Cor, Nyx and Ardyn, the three of them are those who take the most scandalous, provocative and explicit photos and videos) and in various lewd poses and with Noctis covered or dripping semen, Ravus gets angry because he doesn't understand why Ardyn sends him this and why he gets excited looking at the photos while imagining that It's him in the picture fucking Noctis instead of someone else; until one day Ravus receives a bunch of videos along with a note from Ardyn that says "I hope you enjoy it, by the way I had to call for backup since I had some things to do and couldn't stay, if you decide to join call me I'll pick you up right away." and in less than a day you will be in altissa" when he plays one of the videos he sees that Noctis is being fucked by Prompto, after Ravus masturbates watching all the videos that Ardyn sent him (in each video Noctis was being fucked by a person different), calls Ardyn and demands that he take him to where Noctis is, once there he proceeds to fuck Noctis while complaining that if Noctis wanted a cock so bad he could ask him for it and he would gladly fuck him, then From that everyone (Gladio, Cor, Nyx, Prompto, Ardyn, Ignis and Ravus) takes a turn to fuck Noctis, while everyone sleeps Noctis can only think about how great their honeymoon was.
Wow that is a very long and detailed out idea. Not that I mind, of course! I don't know if and when I'll be able to get around to write it, if I can. But it is also something so delicious to read as it is. I do love when someone needs to get fucked and just left all by themselves. Of course, Noct getting fucked by everyone is such a delight too~

uh so im back on my bullshit and i present to you, lucem sequimur verse noctis using etro’s light for anything but what he’s supposed to use it for.
in this verse, although only those with etro’s light can actually interact and summon the dead, spells can be cast so that anyone can perceive them. this causes chaos. noct and his ancestors like causing chaos.
there are definitely times in highschool history classes where noct would let the lucii gatecrash for various reasons. (the clever would make the most appearances, he has beef with the insomnian school system and its “horrific” history inaccuracies.)
no one ever gets used to it. at all. not even prom, in fact, prompto is just scared shitless every time.
somnus likes to crash literature for shits and giggles and noct tries to lure crepera out for poetry classes. crepera hates this. she is shy. she does not want to be perceived by a room full of gawking teenagers. but ofc sometimes her dad, the clever, drags her ass out of the beyond just to make her tell everyone that he’s right.
oh also noctis absolutely asks them for his exam answers, regis finds out and since he’s the only other lucis caelum they’re aware of and he knows when noctis summons the lucii, he ends up in the exam hall making sure noct doesn’t cheat.
tiny stella and noct also had tea parties with dead people. best blorbos.

Family Cor/Nyx: Cards
“This is just ridiculous, YOU are ridiculous.”
“Says the man who talked big.”
“Why are you always like this?”
“Its you who think that you are right all the damn time.”
“Like you don’t?!”
“At least I back up my arguments with something concrete.”
“But you have to be a dick about it?”
“Yes.”
“Fuck you.”
“You’re wasting precious time, Nyx.”
Nyx scowls and places his Bomb card. Cor smirks, putting down his Malboro card and watched the younger man’s eyes grow wide at the final result. The nine fated cards lay there, mocking his fate.
“YOU CHEATED!”
“You can’t cheat in Triple Triad, Nyx. Plus you agreed to play by Meldacio’s random rule with elements in.”
“Thats a cap! Those can’t be the rules! ”
“Fair is fair. You said you’ll do anything. So,” Cor leans over the mess of cards on the floor, his breath ghosting over Nyx’s lips, “I get to clean the floors, while you get the bathrooms.”
The older man gives his husband a quick brush of their lips, taking the spoils of his win along with his deck and leaves. As he walks towards the hall, he does a mental countdown in his head before he hears the thundering footsteps behind him.
Cor turns around and is met by an expected tackle from the Kingsglaive who wrestles the Marshal down with a battlecry. If it were anyone else, Cor would have thrown them off and stab them without a second thought. Only with Nyx, does the Lucian indulge the Galahdian in their play fight.
“Hey, I forgot my wallet-“ Prompto opens the door to see his dads wrestling on the ground, Pryna peeking from behind his knee. There was nothing except the soft sound of the radio playing in the background as the three (four?) stare at one another for awhile.
The blond quickly picks up his wallet off the shoe cabinet and closes the main door behind politely.
Once he reaches the intersection, he fires a text to the guys and adds that he had changed his mind and will be staying over Noct’s that night. Also, to order some pizza. Pryna looks up expectantly and the blond adds a couple of extras to the order too.

Lost
I cant stop myself. Hopefully one day I will escape this Chocobros ABO Au obsession but today is not that day. On the plus side it’s good writing practice! Not to tag @weebsinstash everytime but it was their idea that kickstarted my mild obsession. Last time I promise! F!reader and Ignis. orgasm denial, fingering, controlling/manipulative/aggressive behaviour
“Are you lost my dear?” The voice surprises you and you let out a squeak, much to your embarrassment, as you turn towards the man who had appeared at your side. Partially hidden by the shadows, you catch a glimpse of reddish-violet hair and amber eyes staring intently back at you. “No I’m fine, thank you”. He continues to stare, his eyes narrowing as they sweep over you, head tilting to the side as he examines you. Just as you start to trip over awkward into uncomfortable he nods.  “Enjoy your evening my dear,” he tips his black fedora towards you, “Farewell for now” You watch him walk away and disappear in the direction of the hotel before you continue your journey further into the town.
A foolish stumble while packing up the tent after the boys’ last hunt had left you with a beautiful purple bruise across your knee and a myriad of minor aches and pains. Gladio and Ignis had become unbearable with their attention afterwards, refusing to let you carry or do anything other than sit and watch as they packed up. This meant that asking if you could go explore the town you were all currently staying in had been met with an immediate no. Gladio responding before you had even finished the question. Thankfully Noctis and Prompto had also wanted to go explore and with some gentle persuasion from Ignis, Gladio had relented under the provision that the three of you stayed together. You hadn’t meant to end up on your own, but it hadn’t been long before the two younger alphas got distracted by their phones, and to avoid getting drawn into their bickering over whether or not Prompto had managed to cheat in King’s Knight you had turned away to admire a shop window and when you turned back they had gone. Your panic had been brief, you knew the way back to the hotel, it was a safe town, and best of all; you were finally alone. You could relax, you could explore, you could try some new cuisine, maybe meet some new people, and head back to the hotel later. You knew you were going to get a telling off for this, but the excitement of doing something just for yourself overrode it. Besides you didn’t technically wander off. Noct and Prompto did.
The sun was just beginning to set by the time you decided to head back to the hotel, staying out perhaps a little later than you intended. As you round the corner to the hotel you bump into the man from earlier coming from the opposite direction. He grabs your waist to stop your stumble and although he says nothing he smiles at your apology. His scent is strong but strangely bland and you can’t help the shiver of unease as he lets you go but doesn’t move away. “Sorry“ you repeat, but he doesn’t reply, just watches you with those unnerving amber eyes as you quickly step away.
As you enter the hotel you are immediately hit with an angry bark of your name. Looking across the lobby to see Gladio stalking towards you and Prompto looking worried behind him. The look changing to obvious relief when he locks eyes with you. Gladio says nothing as he reaches you, other than a continuous low warning growl that has you momentarily freezing in alarm. He obviously doesn’t appreciate your reaction and the grip on your arm as he drags you towards the rooms is painful. His scent a confusing mix of anger, concern and something tangy you can’t identify.
He pushes you into your shared room and you stumble, rubbing your arm where he had been holding you. “You do not wander off alone.” His words are almost a snarl and your alarm evolves into a tinge of fear “You do not talk to other alphas” “I didn’t ta-“ He cuts you off with a low growl “you reek of other alphas”. You’re not sure what to say to that and are pretty sure anything you say will just incense him further so you keep silent. Avoiding his gaze you glance at Prompto who offers you a weak smile. “You look at me” Gladio steps into your line of sight and you force yourself not to shrink back at his glare. “You will stay in this room until I come back”.
You scoff, “I’m not a chi-“ “you will stay in this room” it’s a command. This wasn’t the first time Gladio had used the creepy alpha voice trick on you, though it was the first time it had ever been spoken in such anger. The command shot through your chest like lava, a whirling line of heat that spread up to the back of the skull and threatened to give you a major migraine if you tried to disobey. You felt angry tears start to well up in response and tried to blink them away. This was unfair. This was unfair bullshit. But you kept your mouth shut; arguing now would not end well for you. “Yes, alpha.” You hissed. You saw Prompto flinch slightly at your tone, but Gladio didn’t react, other than to turn and leave the room, tugging Prompto with him before closing the door with a slam. You stand there in the middle of the room for a few minutes, frustration and tears threatening to overwhelm you. Trying to keep yourself from breaking down you sit on the edge of the bed, spending a few minutes angrily tugging the sheets and pillows off so you can cocoon yourself underneath them.
The knock at the door startles you before Ignis steps inside. As he stands there you notice the tenseness in his shoulders and you mentally resign yourself to another lecture. The way he scans over your little pile of blankets seems to amuse him and causes the irritation in your chest to flare back to life. You snarl as Ignis steps towards your bed, and he stops, surprise flitting across his face before he gently smiles at you. “You look nice and cosy in there, you did a good job”. The praise instantly has a ball of warmth flooding your chest, even before you fully comprehend his words. Did a good job at what? “Can I join you?” You nod reluctantly and he sits on the edge of the bed next to you. He watches you silently for a couple of minutes and you feel a tinge of guilt. “I’m sorry” Ignis looks unimpressed at your words. “Noctis told you to stay with him did he not?” “But –“ “I know this is still a confusing time for you, but Noctis is our pack leader, you need to listen to him, he knows, we all know, what’s best for you” “I didn’t wander off” your rebuff comes out more petulant than you wanted and Ignis sighs. “You are our omega darling; we are only looking out for you” You forget that sometimes, that Noctis is the pack leader. A little too bratty, a little too immature for the reality of him being an Alpha, and the pack leader, to stick in your head. “How do you think Noctis felt when he looked back and you weren’t there?” You frown, how does he think you felt? When Gladio grabbed you by the arm hard enough to leave bruises? Commanded you to stay like a misbehaving dog? The anger starts to bubble inside you again but before you can reply Ignis continues, “You could have got hurt, or worse” a slow quiet purr coming from him as he strokes a hand over your head. “There are Alphas out there who wouldn’t be as kind as us if they realised you were an Omega” His words send a chill down your spine as you remembered the stranger outside the hotel. Ignis senses your shift in mood and his purr gets a little louder, trying to comfort you “We can’t protect you if you leave us darling” nails scratch lightly across your scalp and you relax further  “promise me you won’t go off on your own again”
“I di-“ Your protest dies on your lips at Ignis disappointed look and you look away. His purr having the desired effect as you feel the fight start to drain out of you “I promise” He hums, happy at your, albeit reluctant, submission and continues to stroke your hair. It’s soothing and the comfort starts to turn your irritation into guilt. “Will you tell Noct I’m sorry?” Ignis relaxes slightly at your words but doesn’t agree to your request. “You can tell him yourself in the morning”
“Is Gladio still angry at me?” You feel on the verge of tears again “No darling, He worries about you,” a soft kiss to your brow, “I worry about you,” another to the tip of your nose, “we all do” he murmurs softly, finally brushing his lips to yours but pulling away before you can reciprocate.
You stay like that for a while, relaxed and drowsy as Ignis continues to purr and stroke your hair. “Are you still sore from this morning?” his questions startles you out of your doze and you nod in reply.  "Get undressed."
There’s a pause, a moment of silence where you’re not sure you heard him right. “What?” “Get undressed” he repeats. “A massage and some relaxation will do you the world of good.” It didn’t take long for you to agree. Although a little off kilter with the abrupt change of topic and the lack of a real reprimand you still eagerly accept his offer.  Even as you continued to unknowingly step further in to the role of Ignis’ omega, you still came second to his duty to Noctis and getting his undivided attention and one of his massages was not something you could refuse.
As you stand and start to remove your clothes Ignis begins to rearrange your cocoon of blankets which causes you a small confusing flare of distress. He notices and turns back to look at you, “we can rebuild it later” The ‘we’ makes you happy for some reason and you can’t decipher the emotion that flickers across Ignis face at your happy chirp. You still hate the noises you make, the involuntary purrs, chirps and growls that escape you despite your best efforts. Ignoring your disobeying body you focus on removing your clothes.
Once in your underwear you stop, watching him as his eyes roam over you, gaze filled with approval and appreciation. You fight the urge to turn and hide yourself from his eyes. Ignis’ love of seeing you in lingerie always left you feeling more than a little self conscious. Finally he speaks, “you can remove your bra” again fighting the urge to hide you stand there as his gaze lingers across your bare breasts before glancing over the finger marks Gladio had left on your upper arm. He doesn’t comment, instead steps towards you and brings a gloved hand up to your mouth, letting his fingers rest lightly against your bottom lip. You know what he wants and you oblige him. Nipping the end of his glove between your teeth, you resist the temptation to take his fingers into your mouth and instead help him remove his glove, before doing the same with the other. Ignis takes half a step back and lets his eyes roam over you again, taking you in. A smile flickers across his face as he takes a breath in, scenting you, before it morphs into flash of distaste. Gone before you can question him he gestures towards the bed “Lie down, on your front”
Once you are settled Ignis starts a slow soft rhythm with his fingers, running up your spine, across the nape of your neck and back down. He leans forward to kiss a soft spot between your shoulder blades before his fingers start to firmly knead down your back and spine. The pain and pleasure mixing until you feel yourself start to relax beneath his hands, as the knots and aches loosen. He continues this for a while, until your moans and sighs of painful pleasure turn into quiet sleepy whimpers. He kisses your neck. "turn over for me darling," he whispers pressing further kisses against your skin as he draws back again, watching you as you turn to lie on your back.
His pupils fully blown, a deep dark void as he stares at you like he wants to devour you has your pressing your thighs tighter in an effort to relieve the sudden rush of arousal. “You’d look so good in a blindfold, black silk across your eyes,” his finger brushes gently over your cheekbone, “would you let me?” His voice, dark and velvety makes you moan a shiver run through you and hips rocking forward before you can stop them. He doesn’t seem to mind your lack of a verbal answer, content to watch his hand trail down over your breasts, carefully avoiding your nipples and coming to rest on your thigh. You automatically open your legs at his touch, and he acquiesces to your unspoken request with a quiet hum, grazing fingers over your panties and down between your legs in a slow barely there caress. His movement is painfully slow, and your attempt to move your hips to hurry him along has him tsking at you, his free hand pressing down on your stomach to stop you moving.
It’s just enough to tease you. The way his finger languidly rubs against your clit through your panties. No rush, no real pressure, Just enough to have a tease of pleasure start to build tortuously slow within you. You arch your back and grind your hips, trying to get him to move faster, to touch you harder and his movement immediately ceases. You whimper in frustration as he withdraws his fingers, his hand stroking up over your body, leaning in to press soft gentles kisses up your stomach to just under your breasts. He avoids your nipples, avoids the little sensitive patch on your collarbone and bites sharply on the lobe of your ear. “Stay Still” Once he deems you suitably still and calm he slips his hand back down between your legs and resumes stroking you through the fabric, drawing breathy moans and whimpers from you. He touches you nowhere but against your covered clit, and it’s maddening. Every time you try to reach for him or move closer he stops. Ignis works you up closer to the edge again and again, each time stopping before you can come. With each denied orgasm you became more desperate, and as he brings you to the edge for the fifth time, you begin to tearfully plead with him.
"Please, Ignis," you beg, you were close to tears, your orgasm was steadily building again, and this time you were pretty sure you were going to die if he didn’t let you come. He leans up, his fingers still circling your clit, and kisses your mouth softly.
"You're going to be a good girl?" He asks and you nod frantically, “going to listen to us? He presses harder against your clit, “going to do as we tell you?” " yes, yes, I promise," you cry out with a moan. You were right on the edge, just a few more gentle strokes of those clever fingers and you would come. "Please Ignis, I promise to be good." His fingers slow and you feel like you’re going to scream in frustration "Alpha please" You close your eyes and he growls loudly, leaning down to kiss your neck, but he stops again. Hand moving from between your legs to cradle your jaw, focusing your attention back on to him
“Do you want to cum?” he whispers, dragging a thumb across your jaw “Yes” “Yes what?” “Yes! Yes alpha, yes sir, just please Ignis!” You feel the shudder of approval that goes through him at your desperation, your words slurring together as you try to find the words he’s looking for. “Good girl” his hand slowly tracing a line down between the valley of your breasts to rest on your hip. With one more whined please from your throat his fingers idly trace along the edge of your panties, moving slowly inward to tease your clit once again with his thumb. Still ignoring your pleas and whimpers he goes at his own slow pace. Moving the lacy material to the side he runs a finger down through your folds, sliding through your slickness, teasing your entrance.  “so wet omega” a low approving rumble in his chest, he leans down to give you a searing kiss, nipping hard at your lip and just as you think he is about to finally slip inside you and let you have your hard earned release, he pulls away.  The cry that leaves you is nothing short of complete desperation, almost pain, and you can feel tears rolling down your cheeks. You’re dimly aware you are begging, desperately pleading with him as you try to pull him closer but he moves no nearer, instead he stands and leans down to whisper in your ear "I want to do wicked things to you, omega,” he nuzzles against your neck, “but you need to earn them”. You’re crying freely now as he withdraws from you completely and heads towards the bathroom. He doesn’t react to your tears, and it starts to dawn on you that this wasn’t Ignis comforting you for Gladio’s behaviour; this was Ignis punishing you for your behaviour. The arousal and frustration is gone in an instant, replaced by a cold rush of dismay. Sensing you watching him, Ignis turns his head to meet your gaze
“A warm bath then you can apologise to Gladio” His voice is calm, almost cold and you fight the desire to throw yourself at him and beg for forgiveness. “Ignis….” you trail off as he turns away from you. His rejection stings and you suddenly feel very alone. The realisation that if the boys started to find you too much trouble, your disobedience too much of a hassle, they could walk away just as easily as Ignis had done, hits you hard. You truly would be abandoned in this world. You would never get home. They had saved you more times than you could count, they fed you, gave you a bed to sleep in, patiently helped you through the hormonal changes in your body, looked after you and obviously cared about you, and they didn’t ask for much in return really. Just to listen to them. The stubborn side of you wanted to deny it, that you could find someone else to help you, but their over-protectiveness and the lengths they’d go to keep your Omega status hidden made you think they were telling the truth when they said not all Alphas would be as willing to help as they were. Not that they let you have much interaction with others to disprove that but was it a risk you were willing to take? You wanted to go home, maybe Ignis’ was right, they did know what was best, it was their world after all. Ignis’ sharp call of your name startles you out of your thoughts and you look over at him, watching as he sorts a towel and some bodywash out of Gladio’s bag. You feel exhausted. Upset and completely drained you can’t bring yourself to fight anymore so you just nod.

~~~~~
Noctis
How many of these things did Noctis have to sit through? Since he came of age on his birthday every year he was to be forced into a suit. This year Gladiolus has to hold him down and Prompto had to take every weapon summoned so he couldn’t warp, all while Ignis somehow managed to get him into a suit.
Every year since he turned 17 he was to get dressed up and have all of these girls fawn over him. Trying to raise their rank in the world. Did the council and elders not understand that the youth don’t meet in person anymore?
“Aw, Noctis don’t pout.”
This was the only thing that made it kind of worth it, Lunafreya came to visit, since the Oracle need to bless the relationship that the young prince would come in. Plus it didn’t hurt to see Ravus trying to avoid all the ladies that realizes Noctis wasn’t into them.
“Announcing!”
Noctis turned his eyes to the grand staircase, he figured that everyone had already arrived. At least he was hoping, the faster he turned everyone down the faster he got to go home and get out this suit.
“Her Grace, the Duchess of Requiem, Y/N.”
The way you had enter the room, head held high in that dark beautiful black of Insomnia. Requiem was a small kingdom protected my Insomnia but it was rare that anyone of court showed up, much less the daughter. But that wasn’t the most shocking part, it was the fact that you were flanked by two very well behaved Coeurl’s, which seemed to part the floor rather easily granting your easy path to the royals on the throne.
With all the elegance of a dancer you gave a dignified bow to those on the throne, even though you were sat lower on the hierarchy of those before you, the power you expelled wasn’t one to be trifled with.
 “I want her to step on me.”  It was a soft whisper and Noctis wasn’t even certain if he said it out loud or not until he heard Lunafreya’s reply.
“Me too.”
~~~~~
Prompto
The fact that you both had a few days off at the same time was lovely. But it also meant that you had to catch up on cleaning, but you figured with the right soundtrack and the two of you it would make the task go by much faster. So you both placed on the vinyl on the record player that Prompto just had to have, and your cleaning begun.
“Wait!”
You looked up from where you were organizing all the stuffed animals in the living room, to the blonde standing by the shelves supposedly dusting.
“They were cheating on each other, with each other this whole time?”
You thought about it for a moment, “Yeah, what did you think, Escape  was about?”
“Pina coladas! and rain!”
~~~~~
Gladiolus
You sat beside Gladiolus’s bedside, as he laid up in the first aid section. You had thought he would dodge, but unlucky your training axe had collided with his arm, dislocating it, which with a turn of events made him drop his training claymore directly on his head.
He was was luckily cleared of a concussion, but he had still yet to say anything after getting check out.
“Gladdy-Baby, I’m sorry, I promise tonight we’ll...”
“Babe.”
You immediately silenced worried you had said something to make the situation even worse. Only for those stern amber eyes to turn towards you.
“Why does pain hurt so much?! How do people live like this?”
You could only blink, it had been years since someone had managed to get a good hit on Gladiolus, did this guy seriously forget what the hell pain was? Before you realized it, you were laughing way harder than you could remember in a long time.
~~~~~
Ignis
“Will he be all right?” You inquired.
Both yourself and Ignis sat further off, allowing Noctis the space he needed for the moment, but still be able to reach him should he require the assistance.
“Yes, simply a little hissy fit.” Ignis stated, the Prince was currently pouting over having to wear an annoying suit again, rather than being able to play the latest release for that new game that just released.
“He look really upset. Has he moved recently?”
“He adjusted his shorts awhile ago.” Ignis stated, his eyes only glancing to you briefly before turning back to his charge. “His shorts ride up when he’s upset. I don’t know why but they just do...maybe they’re trying to help him.”
It took you a moment to register what Ignis had just said. so deadpan as if he was commenting on the weather, but the moment it clicked you couldn’t stop laughing, “I’m sorry, what?”
You didn’t miss the small smirk on Ignis’s face, as you tried your hardest to catch your breath.

Book One: Gold (Prompto x Reader) Chapter XXVIII
Three days passed after Prompto and (Y/n) were brought to Zegnautus Keep. The boy, at the command of Callyx, was now bound to a mechanical device. His body was littered with cuts and bruises, but his entire being ached. He hung his head, eyes sealed shut as another wave of pain washed over his body. The guardian enjoyed torturing the boy, a wicked smile etched across his face as he delivered hit after hit. Blood seeped from the larger gashes scattered across his body, but Callyx made doubly sure the wounds he inflicted wouldn't be any cause for concern.
The moment the cell door opened was when Prompto raised his head. The devil of a spirit walked into the cell with two soldiers by his side. They freed him from the device and grabbed both his arms, pinning them behind his back and cuffing them together. Callyx ordered them to drag him along and follow.
Prompto lifted his head as he was dragged behind Callyx by the two soldiers. He examined his surroundings, trying his best to memorize where they were going. They wandered down many hallways and corridors until coming to a stop in an observation room. Control panels with numerous of monitors were located underneath a large window that was darkened out.
One soldier unlocked his cuffs and freed him before tossing him to the floor. Prompto grunted as he landed on his hands and knees. Through the pain that engulfed his body, he managed to get to his feet. He rubbed his blistered, raw wrists while glaring over at Callyx. He watched as the guardian strolled over to one of the control panels and pressed a few buttons. The glass of the window was no longer blacked out and visibility in the room behind it was poor.
Prompto's eyes were drawn to the opposite room when the lights flickered on. What he saw caused his eyes to widen in horror and the fury he felt a few days ago to return tenfold.
Inside the rectangular room on the other side of the glass was (Y/n). Her body was pinned to the metal wall, black spikes pierced through her arms and legs. It was as if she was a butterfly pinned inside a shadow box. Blood trickled from around the spikes, trailing down her body and forming a small puddle of crimson liquid underneath her. Her head was tucked against her chest, face hidden from everyone.
Prompto dashed toward the window and slammed his fists repeatedly against the glass, crying her name out in a desperate attempt to get her attention. Callyx simply watched in amusement before chuckling. "You honesty think she can hear you? That glass is 24 millimeters thick."
Prompto tore his gaze away from (Y/n), glaring at Callyx. Before he could say anything, the guardian already had an explanation. "She's not dead, if you're wondering. Then again, you probably already know that from the gemstone. This wouldn't be any fun if she was dead." He glanced toward one of the soldiers. "You know what to do."
The soldier left the room. Prompto watched him leave before looking back at Callyx. "Why did you bring me here?"
He huffed out a groan. "Have you already forgotten? Well, I'm not surprised if I'm being honest. You're getting a front row seat to feeding time."
The boy's brows furrowed together. "Feeding time...?"
The wicked grin that haunted Prompto for the past three days spread across the spirit's face. "It's been a while since the devourer had a tasty snack. (Y/n) is next on the menu and we wouldn't want you to miss it."
Just then, the sound of a bloodcurdling scream echoed throughout the Keep. Prompto looked around in confusion while Callyx groaned in annoyance. "Those imbeciles really don't know how to handle my creation, do they...?"
Followed by the scream, the sound of a large explosion resonated throughout the area. The room shook slightly, papers falling off a table in the corner of the room. Now both men were bewildered. Callyx clicked his tongue, using the control panel to access the cameras scattered throughout Zegnautus Keep. On one of the camera feeds, he spotted a lone figure wandering the corridors of the lower level. "Dammit all..." Lifting his head, he addressed the soldiers stationed a few feet away from the door. "There's been a minor setback. Take him back to his cell."
Prompto saw no point in struggling. He allowed one trooper to cuff his wrists before being yanked out of the room. Before the door closed behind them, the boy glanced over his shoulder at (Y/n), swearing to the Astrals he would be back for her.
Back in the cell block, he hoped the soldiers would just toss him into the cell without strapping him to the strange device. However, his hopes were dashed when they shoved him towards it after undoing the cuffs. Prompto refuses to be reattached to the device and tried to fight his way out of the cell. He manage to kick one to the ground and grabbed their gun. As he aimed it at the other soldier and went to pull the trigger, the trooper was much quicker. The second soldier rammed the stock of his firearm into the back of Prompto's neck, knocking him unconscious.
•••••
"Prompto!" A nineteen-year-old (Y/n) shouted excitedly from the kitchen of the apartment. She had just returned home from her shift at the small boutique a few blocks away.
A fifteen-year-old Prompto just finished changing out of his high school uniform and into something more comfortable when hearing her call his name. He left the bedroom and headed to the kitchen. "What is it, (Y/n)?"
The (h/c)-haired girl spun around, revealing the cake she had with a smile. "Happy birthday, Prom."
The boy was in awe at the sight of the cake. "This is..."
"It's chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. I was hoping we could enjoy a slice together." She lowered the cake and placed it on the counter. "I hope it's not too much. I know you've done your best to lose weight and, well..."
Prompto glanced down at the cake. The buttercream frosting was dyed blue with a yellow chocobo on top. There were even small white clouds, making the blue appear as if it were the sky. He was shocked and didn't know what to say.
(Y/n) noticed his silence and became nervous. "Is it too childish?"
"No!" Prompto denied, turning his attention to her. "I think it's amazing, (Y/n). This is the first time we've been able to spend my birthday together without my parents. It's nice. I wish we could've done it sooner."
Her smile returned. "There's one more thing I wanna give you." She rushed down the small hallway to the bedroom and grabbed what she had hidden under the bed. She promptly returned to the kitchen and held out the present. "I've been waiting all month to give this to you."
Prompto gaped in surprise as he took the gift. "You even bought me a present?"
"Of course I did," she giggled. "Open it!"
"Shouldn't we enjoy the cake first?"
"No way! I can't wait for you to open it. We can have a slice of cake after."
Seeing how excited she was, Prompto decided to open the present. He tore off the paper, gasping when seeing what he unwrapped. He tossed the wrapping paper aside and examined the box closely. It was the camera he'd been saving up for. "Is this...the newest model?"
The guardian nodded. "Yep. You've been talking about it for the past three months and I thought it'd make the perfect birthday present."
He placed the camera box down on the counter beside the cake before stepping towards (Y/n). He wrapped his arms around her, embracing her tightly. "I love it, (Y/n). Thank you so much."
She wound her arms around his waist, returning his hug. "You're welcome, Prom." Pulling away, she peered up at his face. "Now then, let's eat some cake! I even bought some ice cream if you want some."
"There's no way I can deny a slice of cake and ice cream," he laughed. "I'll blame you for making this my cheat day."
"Blame me all you like. No one can ever deny cake and ice cream on their special day."
The two ate the cake and ice cream together. There was plenty of each left over once their bellies were full. Once they took care of the dishes, they headed into the small living room connected to the kitchen. (Y/n) laid down on the couch with Prompto laying partially on top of her. She raked her hands through his hair as his head rested against her chest. As he enjoyed her touch, he fiddled with his new camera. He admired it with stars in his eyes. "Man, I am totally gonna take some cool pictures with this camera. There's ton of space on the SD card, too!"
"Knowing you, you'll fill up the entire SD card in a month," she said. "We should look into getting you a second one just in case."
Prompto turned off his new camera, placing it in his lap. He stared up at the ceiling in silence for a couple of minutes before attempting to confess his true feelings that'd been eating at him for the past two years. "Hey, (Y/n)?"
"Yeah?" She questioned.
"What if... What if I said... Ah, never mind," he sighed, his confidence shattering. "It's nothing important."
"You can't leave me hanging like that!" She gasped.
"Can you wait a little longer?" He begged.
Smiling, she nodded. "Of course. I'll be here whenever you need me."
Prompto closed his eyes with a content sigh. "Thanks, (Y/n)."
Suddenly, the air in the apartment became cold and the lights flickered out. Prompto grunted when his body was dropped on to the sofa. "(Y/n)?" He sat up, seeing the guardian was gone. Even his camera was missing. Getting to his feet, he began searching the apartment for her. He checked the kitchen, the hallway bathroom, their shared bedroom, and the bathroom attached to it. "(Y/n)?!" He frantically searched the closet, underneath the bed, and even the fire escape. He couldn't find her anywhere.
As Prompto ran back to the living room, the apartment morphed and he found himself back in the Magitek Production Facility. He stood in a room lined with large glass cylinders. Instead of finding copies of himself, he saw the face of (Y/n) on the bodies trapped inside. Some were missing limbs while others were sickeningly disfigured, creating a horrific creature. Each glass tube had large red 'X's painted across the front. "Wh-What's going on?" He spun around in confusion. "(Y/n), where are you?!"
From the darkness, Prompto heard the clacking of heels. Turning around, he saw the (h/c)-haired guardian emerge from the shadows and step into the light radiating from the glass tubes. Her expression remained stoic as she stopped a few feet away from him. He went to approach her, but she stopped him by raising her hand. "Please, don't come any closer, Prompto."
"What's wrong, (Y/n)?" He asked with a concerned expression. "Why're we back here?"
His questions went unanswered as she gestured to the various glass tubes surrounding them. "Failure after failure, Verstael desperately tried to recreate (Y/n). After so many failures, he finally succeeded only for me to be taken by a Lucian spy alongside you. In the end, I may have been the perfect copy but to him I was another failure. Do you honestly believe we could be happy together because of our origins?"
"Where we come from doesn't matter!" Prompto wailed. "It's where we're going that counts! I don't care that you're some copy of his guardian or that I'm a copy of him! I won't be able to do anything if you're not with me!"
"Prompto," she mumbled.
He outstretched his hand towards her. "I only care about the girl who showed me love and kindness all those years in Insomnia when no one else would. It's thanks to you I was able to achieve my goals and make even more friends. I want both of us to get back together with Noct and the others and go back to all the fun we were having together. I refuse to leave you behind, (Y/n). I need you more than you know it. So please, let's go back together."
The guardian stared at his hand. She weighed her options, but her feelings for him were too strong. There was no way she'd ever leave him. She loves him too much and cherished her new friendship with Noctis, Gladio, and Ignis. A smile tugged at the corner of her lips. "Yes, let's go together, Prom."
Just as she was about to place her hand in his, the sound of gunfire could be heard from behind her. The invisible bullets pierced her body over and over again, blood spattering as each one hit. Prompto stared in horror as her body became riddled with bullets and her blood splattered across his body.
Once the firing ceased and the last bullet was fired, (Y/n)'s body collapsed lifeless against the ground. Prompto fell to his knees, hands shaking as he reached for her. "(Y-Y/n)..." He managed to crawl closer to her and turn her body over. He saw her eyes were open, void of life. He gasped, his attention being drawn to the bracelet around his right wrist when he heard a faint cracking sound. Looking at it, he saw the gemstone was cracked and was turning black. "No, no, no!" He pulled her cold body into his arms and tried to wake her up, ignoring the blood that was beginning to soak his being. "Please wake up, (Y/n)," he begged with tears in his eyes. He lowered his head, nudging his nose against hers. "I can't lose you..." Tears flowed from his eyes, splashing against her cheeks. He held her tightly as a guttural wail erupted from his throat. His cry fell on deaf ears as he was consumed by darkness.
•••••
Prompto awoke from his unconscious state when he felt his body fall to the floor. Opening his eyes, he saw Noctis, Gladio, and Ignis.
"Hey, you alright?" Gladio asked.
"Are you hurt? Do you need help?" Ignis inquired, unable to see the blonde's tattered state.
"I'm fine. Thank you, Noct." Through the pain, Prompto manages to sit upright and met Noctis' gaze. "Tell me. Were you worried about me?"
"Of course I was. What kind of question is that?" Noctis retorted.
"Of course. That's why you came, like I believed you would."
"Prompto..." He murmured.
"That's why I told myself I couldn't die. Not until I could see you and hear you tell me I'm not a fake—that I'm the real me."
Noctis hung his head with a sorrowful expression. "I'm sorry."
"Don't be. Everything's alright now." With his best friend's help, Prompto was able to stand. "I have to save (Y/n). Will you guys help me?"
"Hell yeah," Noctis smirked. "She's our friend, too."
"You seriously think we wouldn't help you save your little lady?" Gladio guffawed.
"Her comradeship has been invaluable," Ignis added. "Abandoning her is not an option."
"Thanks, guys," Prompto smiled at his friends. "I know where they're keeping her. Let's go."
Noctis, Gladio, and Ignis followed him out of the cell block and down a series of hallways until they arrived at where Callyx dragged him earlier. The door slid open and the four boys entered the room. However, the room was in complete shambles. The bodies of dead soldiers were scattered across the floor with documents strewn about. What caught his attention the most was the shattered window. He stepped over shards of glass as he headed towards the window. Peering into the connected room, he saw (Y/n) was missing. The only thing that remained was the puddle of blood.
"Thought you said she was in here," Gladio remarked. "All I see are dead bodies and broken glass."
"She was here, I swear!" Prompto shouted. "Callyx brought me here."
"Think they moved her?" Noctis asked.
"Possibly." Ignis fumbled around until he came across the control panel. He activated the monitors, which caused a lightbulb to flicker on above the marksman head as he remembered what Callyx did.
He made his way over to the control panel and remembered the buttons the guardian pushed. "I almost forgot. Callyx used this control panel to access the cameras all over this place."
The strategist was able to connect the puzzle pieces. "It's highly possible they will reveal what transpired here."
"Exactly." Prompto continues to work on the control panel until he was able to pull up the camera feed for the room they were currently in. With a few more buttons, he was able to rewind the feed. He stopped a few frames after seeing the window shatter. Playing the feed, they watched what happened hours ago.
Soldiers were doing their duties until the sound of a bloodcurdling scream came from behind the glass. All the troopers' attentions were drawn to the window as it shattered. Many of them were killed by the shards while a couple were left standing. From the broken window, (Y/n) climbed into the room and killed the two remaining soldiers. Before she left the room, she looked up at the camera to reveal not gold slits but glowing azure sclera with no iris or pupil.
Prompto stopped the rewind, eyes still glued to the screen. He wasn't sure what to say, but Noctis did. "Looks like Brahma took over. Whether that's a good or bad thing, we won't know until we find (Y/n)."
The sharpshooter was somewhat relieved but still worried. He glanced down at the gemstone to still see it was normal. "She's alive. That's all that matters. I'm sure we'll find her soon."
"Now that we know short stuff is gone, let's get the hell outta here and find a way to get your powers back," Gladio said, eyeing Noctis.
Ignis nodded in agreement. "Yes, let's."

Today I met someone kind of . . . Special . I don’t exactly know how to describe him . He’s like a combination of Ignis and Prompto in one . A little closer to Nyx in attitude but not as cocky . His name is Leslie . He’s  . . . He’s really nice . I don’t know what to say about him yet , we only just met . Who knows if I’ll even see him again .
Is it wrong that I kind of hope that I do get to see him again ? I don’t meet new people often that I actually might want to spend time with .  Anyway , I guess we’ll end this here . I’ll update you if I see him again .
Sincerely ,
Noctis.
● – || For a written letter from my muse.
Dear Leslie ,
I’m sorry that I haven’t visited you lately . I got grounded after I got caught by the Glaives trying to sneak out . I tried to explain that I wasn’t going beyond the palace walls but Ignis and my father didn’t have it . I promise to visit you soon . I’m writing you a letter because Iggy took my phone . . . So , when I get it back I promise to give you a call.
I miss you . . . I’ll see you soon.
Sincerely ,
Noctis .
● – || For a daydream my muse has had about yours.
Noctis has nightmares more than he has daydreams . He has definitely daydreamed about an attack happening on the Citadel and he never seeing Leslie again . It’s a major fear that he has .
● – || For how my muse would seduce/flirt with yours.
Noctis is not the best at flirting . He’s really subtle , but he tries his best . His favourite thing to do to flirt with Leslie is just to give him a kiss when no one is looking -- It’s his way of letting Leslie know he cares about him without having to do anything major . Especially , because Noctis isn’t one for PDA .
● – || What your muse will do to fluster mine.
Easy. Leslie coming home to find Noctis in one of Leslie’s hoodies with nothing underneath . And , on his head , Leslie’s favourite flavour of cupcake.
● – || My muse will confess something they wish they didn’t do.
Every time Noctis sneaks out to see Leslie he does so by means of secret tunnels . He always feels guilty doing it because he knows that , one day , he’s going to get caught and that’s the day that Leslie’s going to need him most . He tries to be careful but it doesn’t always work in his favour . He knows that if anyone’s going to catch him it would be Ignis .
● – || BONUS: For a song that reminds me of our muses.
For Him by Troye Sivan .
We are running so fast and we never look back .  And whatever I lack , you make up . We make a really good team not every one sees .  We got this crazy chemistry between us . [...] You don’t have to say I love you to say I love you . Forget all the shooting stars and all the silver moons . We’ve been making shades of purple out of red and blue . Sickeningly sweet like honey , don’t need money , all I need is you.

Pericar Leonis was born screaming. He seemed angry at the world for years, his blue eyes snapping fire. So it was a shock when Peri was found in the newborn Prince’s nursery, calmly feeding him a perfectly prepared bottle, steel eyes soft for once. Never mind how a toddler had found his way out of his room and past all the guards to get to the Prince, never mind he’d prepared a bottle and successfully fed the baby, his peace was the biggest shock. His pronouncement of “mine” at the birth (1/2)
Anonymous said: (2/2) was perhaps something they should have paid more attention to. That night started a hair raising precedent. There was a slight worry that Noctis wouldn’t learn to walk, Peri was determined to carry him everywhere. Combat training was the only time guaranteed to take Peri away from his young charge. As soon as training was over, Peri would be right back at Noctis’ side, handing the Prince whatever had attracted his attention. ‘Nothing is going to happen this time,’ Peri once Gladio swore
Anonymous said: 3/2 in his mind. ‘I don’t care if I have to fight the Astrals all myself. You won’t have to die for the Dawn.’ He was a Sword, not a Shield anymore, but he wouldn’t let that matter.
Me: Stop tempting me with this lovely angsty AU-
*sighs and quietly adopts the new bunny*
Don’t ... really like the name Pericar? Sorry? Imma go with Certus Leonis.
No one is sure ... what to make of the bby Leonis. The one that got basically dumped on the Citadel’s doorstep with a note and a paternity test that the Citadel doctors later confirmed. Cor loves his son, of course he does, but he also can tell that his son ... is angry. Has been angry and raw around the edges from six months old.
Then his son is four and he’s found in the royal nursery, carefully feeding the baby prince with a look of ... adoration. Calm. In his eyes. It is the quietest, gentlest Cor has ever seen his son, utterly devoted to the infant in his arms. No one knows how he got in or why, but he’s there now and it quickly becomes evident that trying to separate them is a Bad Idea.
At first they worry Certus will be too rough, but he never is. At first they fear he will stunt Noctis’s growth or spoil him, but Certus doesn’t. He is always firm but kind, and Cor has seen his son drop whatever he’s doing and leave the room to throw a temper tantrum of his own rather than take it out on Noctis. Noctis’s first steps are witnessed by Certus, and it is in Certus’s shadow that the boy quickly learns to toddle around, asking questions that Certus always answers with patience. Regis sadly jokes that Certus is trying to steal his position as Noctis’s father, Cor doesn’t laugh. Inwardly all the adults are ... a bit worried at the nigh-fanatical level of loyalty Certus gives Noctis, loyalty that extends to little Ignis the moment they meet.
Backing up in time a little, when Noctis is maybe a year old, Cor has to go on a mission to Niflheim. He comes back with a baby. He’s exhausted, sitting in Regis’s suite holding the child as they try to decide what to DO with the baby when Certus ambles in. Whatever reason he had for barging into Regis’s suite (probably looking for his returned dad) is forgotten when he spots the baby in Cor’s arms.
Cor feels a swell of dread when his little son trundles over and holds out his arms imperiously for the baby, “Mine.”
“We’re not keeping him.”
Certus freezes and Cor is definitely remembering that “may your children be just like you” curse because that Look in his son’s eye is the same he had when running off to fight Gilgamesh, “My baby brother.”
Cor backpedals, hoping this is a misunderstanding he can clear, “He’s not mine, Certus. I just ... found him. He needs proper parents.”
“You’re a proper parent,” says Certus far too steadily for a normal five year old, “You found him, you keep him.”
Regis leans forward, “That’s- that’s not how childcare works, Certus. Cor is already very busy caring for you and doing his duty, a baby-”
“I’ve taken care of Noct, I can take care of this one,” Certus says stubbornly.
The conversation devolves from there until ... Cor isn’t sure what happened. He thinks Certus threatened to hurt himself if they took the baby away, a too-bright look in his eye that meant he was serious, and no protests could sway him, especially not after Cor was dumb enough to say that the baby was a security risk because he’d been stolen from a Nif lab.
He’s pretty sure if Certus had been taller, he would have punched Cor in the mouth for saying that.
It ends with Certus possessively holding a distressed Nif baby, rocking him back and forth and cooing lovingly, “It’s okay, Prom, I’m here. You’re staying with me now. I won’t let anything happen to you, and you can play with Noct all day, and when you’re big enough we’ll get you a camera, an’ everything will be okay. Shhh Prompto, it’s okay.”
And that is how Cor ends up with kid number 2 and Noctis grows up with a blond playmate that he sees so often the two think for years they’re actual brothers. Certus is so proud of himself. The adults are ... Professionally Concerned. Was Cor like this as a child? Cor can’t remember and they didn’t meet him until he was 13 so...
Certus clearly has Cor’s Fite Me gene though, as the only way to pry him clear of the kids is to throw weapons training at him, which he excels at and pushes for all the time, trying to turn himself into a tiny weapon and getting angry when Cor, who remembers how messed up being a weapon himself made him, refuses to let him go that far.
After Noctis turns four and Regis learns of the Prophecy though, Regis is ... grateful for Certus. Certus is the head of Noctis’s little budding Retinue, the Sword and leader just like Ignis is the Hand and little Prompto is the Heart and Gladio is the Shield (who does so look up to Certus, which seems to wig Certus out a little for unexplained reasons). His son ... his son has good friends. His son will have a good life. Before the end.
He thinks that right up until Certus is fifteen and decides to blow Cor’s record for recklessness out of the water by running away for three weeks and coming back with the CHANCELLOR OF NIFLHEIM IN TOW. WHO WANTS TO DEFECT.
Said Chancellor, who has just been beaten in a duel by a spiteful fifteen year old with a too old soul and a crazy plan to REALLY tick off the Astrals that was tempting enough to make Ardyn roll with it, is smug and deadly and shifty right up until Certus siccs Noct and Prompto on him.
Ardyn is not prepared for the Chosen King and the escaped MT to be this Cute™.
Help. Help they’re looking at him with puppy eyes. Help he’s getting attached already. Certus this is CHEATING.
Certus, smugly, “Learned from watching the best.”
Ardyn, who is aware of the time-travel thing and that Certus has been on the receiving end of Ardyn’s Grand Plot, “I TAUGHT YOU TOO WELL.”

finally getting myself to play Episode Ardyn and I don’t mean to always be making it all about Prompto,  but our boy got cheated by not being given the same voice as his original (even though I can see why they didn’t but still!).  so I’m thinking that he and Verstael do match in voice,  but Prompto makes a point of giving himself a different tone so that he feels less like his original.  at first it was an active change,  but then it became more normal to speak in the tone and level of voice that he had set up.  the entire time that he is a young man,  he's fearful of being judged for who he is,  who he came from.  after the events of FFXV,  when he gets older and grows more confident in himself,  I think he’ll allow himself go back to his natural tone of voice.  when his original is dead,  he no has to feel as though he is a copy because now he is the only one.

Worthy Chapter 2: Adjusting FFXV A/B/O Promnis
< Previous Chapter 1
Ignis Scientia was true to his word and had arranged for a discrete transport back to Niflheim for Prompto.  The only catch was he would have to travel the day after the royal banquet. The blond would have to remain in Noctis’ quarters until that time.  With this plan came the realization that Prompto would have to spend the night, twice, in an unfamiliar place.
He was nervous at first when the idea was brought up.  Ignis had called Noct right after they had eaten dinner to tell him the news, since he was still in meetings.  The prince of Lucis seemed to take it in stride and announced quite casually that they were roomies for a few days.
Prompto was secretly grateful that Noct was nice and a beta.  He didn’t know what would have happened if he had to share space with an alpha.  He was nineteen and really needed to get over his fear, but it was easier said than done.  Alphas scared the shit out of him. Not having had a single good alpha experience until earlier that day with Scientia, Prompto had been avoiding them most of his life.
His mother was a beta, as had been the king.  The astrals clearly wanted to turn the tables, and his step-father had produced a litany of alphas in his wake.  His first wife must have been pregnant for years, and she was guilty of the worst of the bunch. Five sons, all alphas, and they were all dicks.   She died due to complications of the fifth birth. Wife number two came along and popped out three more alphas. She requested a divorce when her youngest was barely weaned.   She cited difficulties with the eldest sons as the issue.
Wife number three managed to survive a little longer. She produced four more alphas to the king and unfortunately was caught cheating.  The separation was quick, and Prompto sees her around visiting her sons from time to time. The king never wished to bar her from her children.
Wife number four, Prompto’s mother, met the king at a party, and it was love at first sight.  They were able to spend several happy years together, and the king accepted her only son without question.   Prompto had been fourteen when they married.
The king’s death was due to illness, and it shook his mother terribly when he passed.  She remained strong for her son and carried on in the role of queen for the people. The general populous had grown to like her, and his step-brothers knew if they kicked her out bad press would follow.
So here he was, two years later, and still no further up the line to the throne.  If anything, after the king’s death, his chances had gotten worse. Thinking about his lack of a future was depressing.   If only he’d been born an alpha. Then maybe he could have stood a chance.
Prompto realized he was spacing out again when Noct sighed loudly and cleared his throat.
“You okay over there?  I know this is all kinda weird.”
“Huh? Oh, I’m fine. I’m just thinking about stupid stuff.”
“Judging by your facial expression, it didn’t look stupid.”
The blond laughed nervously. He wasn’t used to people actually talking      to     him.  His mother didn’t count. She never pushed for fear of upsetting him.  “I’m okay really.”
“Fine, if you say so.  How late do you want to stay up?  I’ve got lots more games we could play, or if you would rather be left alone, I get that.  This must all be very overwhelming,” Noct replied.
Prompto bit his lips trying to think of a response.  Yes, he was overwhelmed, but the prince didn’t contribute to that feeling.  It was being in a new place with the constant fear of running into people he didn’t know that worried him the most. “I don’t need to be left alone; it helps to be with someone.” He offered softly.  “I’m glad you’re not an alpha.”
“Well, you’d be one of the few to admit that.  Most people seem to think royalty should be an alpha.  I have no idea how you deal with it, since you’re an omega.”
“No one notices me, so not many people talk about it.”
Noct didn’t respond right away, but looked confused for a moment.  “Do you not give them a chance to notice you? Do you hide instead?”
Prompto nodded slowly.  “It’s easier that way.”
 “Huh, interesting.”  Noct pondered.
It was obvious that there was more on the prince’s mind, but he chose not to say anything else.  Prompto could only assume he’d realized that their lives were completely opposite. Picking up the game controller once more, he smiled, hoping Noct would understand.  The rest of the evening progressed until Prompto passed out on the sofa.
    --
Opening the door to the suite, Gladio immediately noticed the distinct smell of omega.  Ignis had been correct: the young Niflheimian prince had a unique scent. He’d been briefed earlier that morning by the advisor on how to handle the newcomer.  Apparently, he suffered from a severe fear of alphas.
Ignis was extremely busy setting up the banquet for later that evening, so he’d sent Gladio to collect Noct.  However, he was given strict instructions not to approach Prompto unless he was comfortable first. As Gladio trudged into the main room, he realized this would be a difficult request.  The two princes’ had clearly stayed up far too late and had fallen asleep in the living room.
Noct was sprawled out over a large armchair and snoring lightly.  He could literally fall asleep anywhere. Prince Prompto seemed more relaxed and was sleeping on the sofa.  The shield seriously debated leaving the suite and calling Noct on his cell phone. There was no way he was going to be able to wake Noct up without disturbing Prince Prompto.
Secretly, he knew his charge wouldn’t rouse from a simple phone call, so he had no choice but to go the old fashioned route.  Taking a deep breath and focusing on releasing calming pheromones, he slowly walked over to Noct. Sitting down on the coffee table in front of Noct, he reached out and shook the sleeping prince by his shoulders.
“Noooooo,” Noct groaned.  “Five more hours.” He pleaded.
“Don’t you mean five more minutes, princess?” Gladio snickered.
“NO!” he grumbled trying to sleep again.
“Come on. Ignis needs you to get up so you can go rehearse your speech and do other royal bullshit.”
 “Why me?”  Noct lamented.
“You know I’m more than willing to carry you to your next appointment in yesterday’s clothes, I’m not Ignis,” Gladio offered with a smirk.   He was about to add more when a quiet yelp from behind him caught his attention. Their guest had most likely woken up, but he didn’t dare look to confirm it.  Judging by the sudden change in the omegas scent, he was scared.
Noct made an attempt to sit up fully.   “Gladio, ya know it would be easier to wake up if you weren’t pumping out such a relaxing scent right now.”  The dark haired prince yawned loudly and managed to pry his eyes open. “What gives?”
Gladio looked at Noct and rolled his eyes.  “Are you going to introduce me to your new friend?” he asked instead of verbally berating the prince for his lack of awareness.  He truly was a smart man, but sometimes he missed the painfully obvious.
“Huh? Oh, Prompto, yeah sure.”  Noct seemed to finally take in the state of his guest and threw a puzzled look over Glaido’s shoulder. “Hey, are you okay? What’s the matter?”
The strangled noise that came as a reply was heartbreaking.  The poor guy was terrified. Gladio still hadn’t turned around fully and was waiting for Noct to sort the young prince out.  Opting to keep his body relaxed and his eyes down cast, he waited for Prompto’s scent to change.
“This is just my shield, Gladio.  He won’t hurt you. It’s okay.” Noct didn’t wait for a response this time and quickly clambered out of the chair, stumbling over Gladio in the process.  “I promise he’s really good at keeping princes alive. You have nothing to worry about.”
Finally, Prompto uttered a response he could actually hear.  “O—Okay.”
Gladio took this small utterance as permission to finally face the Prince.  “Highness, it’s a pleasure to meet you. My name is Gladiolus Amicitia, shield to prince Noctis.”
“Hi,” was all the blond haired man managed to squeak.  His bright blue eyes were huge and threatening to bulge out of his head.   Then, as if something suddenly distracted him, he furrowed his brow. “You keep mentioning a shield, but you’re not carrying one.”
Gladio answered before Noct could.  “I act as his bodyguard, so it’s more of a metaphorical shield.”
“Why wasn’t Lord Amicitia with you yesterday when you found me?” Prompto blurted.
Noct started turning a few shades of pink and looked away.
“Sometimes he ignores the rules and sneaks out.  From the sounds of it, I may need to start training you, too, if this one managed to subdue you.”
Noct smirked and then frowned.  “Hey! What are you insinuating?”
A small giggle broke the tension, and Prompto quickly covered his mouth to try and hide his smile.
“He made fun of you, too!” Noct exclaimed.
“True, but I’ve not had training, so I believe the insult is worse for you.”
Looking directly at Prompto, the shield nodded in agreement. “Highness, please feel free to call me Gladio. Lord Amicitia is my father's’ title.”
“He’s the king's bodyguard, right?” Prompto asked quickly.
“Correct. My family has been protecting the Lucis Caelums for generations.”
“That is so amazing that you get a bodyguard,” Prompto mused.
“You don’t have a personal guard back home?”  Noct asked incredulously. “I would have thought you being an omega meant you’d get extra protection.”  Prompto stayed silent and looked at the floor. “Uh – damn, that sucks.” Noct sighed.
“I’m afraid I have to steal Noct away for a few hours.  Will you be alright in the suite by yourself?” Gladio asked.
“I think so. No one else new will come in, correct?”
“That’s correct, Highness. I do have a trusted beta guard on duty nearby, and I will give you his phone number.  If anything urgent comes up, call him and he’ll help you until we get back,” Gladio announced.
“What’s their name?” Prompto asked slowly.  “They won’t come in here unless I ask, right?”
“His name is Nyx, and no, he won’t come in unless you ask.  He’s patrolling this wing, so he won’t be in front of the door.  He’s been told to keep an eye on the corridor and make sure no one disturbs you.”
“What should I do if someone knocks on the door?”
“Ignore it.  If you sense danger, hide and call Nyx.”
The last statement seemed to calm the fair haired prince. “Ok, I can handle that. Will you all be returning for lunch?”
“No guarantees.  Ignis likes to keep a tight schedule.  I will check with him and get a message to you one way or another.”
“I have Noctis’ phone number,  so he can text me.”
“I told you a bunch of times already, it’s alright to call me Noct.”  Prompto bobbed his head in response and smiled.
Gladio stood up and gave a slight bow to Prompto before walking towards the door.  “I’ll wait outside for you, Noct.” He continued on his way and went to seek out Nyx with an update.  Once he was confident all was well, Gladio directed his sleepy prince towards his next meeting.
   --
“One more meeting to go, highness, and then you are done for the day.” Ignis sighed.  “I’ve worked to clear your schedule for the afternoon, so you can rest before the banquet.”
“Good, Prompto and I can play more video games together.  He likes all the same ones I do.”
“Do remember you need to rehearse your speech. Don’t waste away the entire afternoon gaming.”
“Yeah, I know, but it’s nice to have someone around my age who likes the same stuff.  I don’t know how he doesn’t go crazy at home. It sounds like he’s got nobody to hang out with besides his mom.” Noct paused with a frown.  “I’m not knocking that. It’s nice she’s there for him, but he’s alone the rest of time. I have you and Gladio, but he’s stuck there in a sea of stupid alphas. No offence, but his step brothers sound like grade A assholes.”
Ignis went quiet suddenly.  Noct had enough issues being a beta prince; he could only imagine the hardships Prompto must endure.  “Did you happen to figure out his real reason for visiting?”
“No, I tried to pry lightly, but he seemed unwilling to talk about it.  I know that sightseeing bullshit was a lie. I can’t figure out what would be worth all the trouble he went through to get here.”
“Perhaps in time he will tell us.  Do you think you will try and stay in touch once he returns home?”
Noct shook his head and threw a look at Ignis.  “Who do you think I’ve been texting all morning?”
“Though I’m upset at your lack of manners during meetings, I will commend your effort at making a new friend.”
The final meeting of the day was blessedly canceled, and the trio made their way back to Noct’s royal chambers.  Ignis spotted Nyx nearby when they approached and gave a discreet nod for his help. The advisor had selected Nyx specifically due to his dynamic and good natured attitude.  The man also knew how to keep a secret, and that was essential.
“You did warn him that Gladio and I were both coming, correct?” Ignis asked as he went to unlock the door.
“Yeah, he knows. Want me to go in first?”
Ignis didn’t answer but pushed the door open and allowed Noct to slip past him.  “Gladio, do remember to give Prompto his personal space.”
“I have been through diverse dynamics training Iggy.  I’m not an animal. I did really well this morning. You would’ve been proud.”
“That fact that I let you come alone should have been indication enough that I trust you explicitly,”  Ignis calmly offered. Gladio smiled, and if he puffed up his chest slightly, Ignis chose not to comment.
When they walked into the living room, both princes were talking a mile a minute.  Prompto had found a hidden level in a game they’d played the night before. Noct was regaling him with tales of the boring council meeting he’d had to endure.
“Two peas in pod, huh?” Gladio admitted when he noticed the exchange.
Ignis shook his head but still smiled at the sight.  “I’ll be in the kitchen preparing lunch if you need me.”  Gladio nodded but ended up following him in with an excuse of not being able get a word in edgewise.  The two younger men had tuned out the Eos around them.
He was halfway through cutting a sandwich when Gladio piped up again. “Why are you taking extra care with prince Prompto?”
 “Hmmm, whatever do you mean?”
“I’ve never seen you so hyper focused on someone else’s well being aside from Noct in a long time.”
“I care about others,” Ignis huffed with a pout.
“Shit.” Gladio grumbled.  “Not what I meant. Uh – how do I put this – you have been treating him exactly like Noct.”
That made him pause.  Had he really been doing that? “I merely wish to ensure his safety since he’s here unaccompanied.  I wouldn’t want to have to face his mother should something happen.”
Gladio titled his head in thought.  “I get that, and if he stays in touch with Noct once he’s back home, then you can make sure he’s doing okay.”
Ignis was struck with an odd thought after Gladio stopped talking.  Why would he care about this strange omega so much? They’d barely spoken more than few sentences since he’d arrived yesterday.   However, he felt drawn to the blond. Not really wanting to blame base dynamic chemistry, Ignis shooed the idea away and finished fixing lunch.
Thankfully, lunch was an easy affair, despite a slightly rocky start.  Prince Prompto had been visibly nervous to be at the table with Gladio and himself.  For once, Noct’s complete lack of tact actually helped. He’d picked up right away that his new friend was behaving differently in front of his retainers, so the dark-haired prince simply announced that his alpha friends didn’t bite.
Gladio had to work hard to stifle a laugh, which unexpectedly set Prompto off in a giggle.  The tension was broken and lunch continued. Noct, of course, chose to ignore Ignis’ piercing gaze from across the table.  Years of etiquette training, and he throws it away in the blink of an eye.
Lunch was soon over and more work beckoned, as Ignis had to verify things were getting done properly for the banquet.   He quickly said his goodbyes and slipped out to return to work. However, he couldn’t seem to shake the empty feeling he had once he’d left the suite.  Was it even possible for an omega to make someone feel this way? He had no time to dwell on the thought, since he had a banquet to coordinate.
  --
“You sure you’ll be okay?” Noct asked for a third time.
“Yes, I’ll be fine.” Prompto sighed.  “You said that beta soldier was stationed nearby again, right?”
“Yep, Nyx. He’s really nice, and he will be available if you need him right away.”
Prompto nodded and leaned into the sofa cushion to rest his head. “How long will you have to stay?”
“Ugh, I have to make a speech at around eight, and then Iggy will want me to meet and greet.  Blech, I detest talking to total snots.”
“Hopefully you won’t have to talk to my step-brothers too much.  Alban is only there to meet chicks.”
Noct laughed at the admission.  “I hope he realizes that the women that attend these functions are horrible.  All they want is your money and title. Iggy has to beat them off with a stick sometimes if they come after me.”
“That’s really nice that you have Scientia to do that for you.”
“You can call him Ignis. He wouldn’t mind.  I’m sure of it, actually, since he’d been nothing but super nice to you.”
“What do you mean?” Prompto asked.
“He’s been treating you better than me!  Asking Nyx to do guard duty is huge. The man’s a decorated, high-ranking soldier; he graduated past guarding a door a long time ago.   Iggy has also been controlling his scent around you. Gladio, too, but I think Iggy told him to do that,” Noct offered.
“Really?” The blond mumbled. “Those are good things, though, right?”
“Yeah, totally. It just means he likes you is all.”
“I’m only an omega. There’s no reason for him to do any of that.  He’s being nice, because you would get mad otherwise.”
Noct narrowed his eyes at Prompto.  “Nah, I know Iggy, and he wouldn’t act like without a good reason.  I’m pretty sure I’m not the reason.”
“Oh.” Prompto wasn’t sure what to think of that information.   What did Noct mean by ‘like’? He knew the prince had to leave soon, but he wished he could go with him and see all the people dressed up. “Will you have your phone?” He asked finally.
“Yeah, I’ll send you pictures when I can.  There are always some really funny people wandering around.”
“Is it okay to use the kitchen when I get hungry later?” Prompto asked when Noct stood up to retrieve his shoes.
“Oh, I almost forgot Iggy’s got dinner being delivered for you. It will be the same catering as the banquet, so you get to taste the food.   See! Yet another nice thing my advisor has done for you!” Noct exclaimed.
“Will I have to talk to someone for the food?” Prompto asked nervously.
“Nah, the dumbwaiter in the kitchen will buzz, and you can go collect it.  It only fits a tray of food, so you’ll be safe.”
The blond relaxed and smiled.  It appeared his hosts had thought of everything.  “Don’t forget to send me stuff.”
Noct smiled. “I won’t, don’t worry.  I wish I could stay here with you and be lazy, but duty calls.  Gladio should be here any minute. Call me if something urgent comes up. Otherwise, I think you should be fine.”
Prompto instinctively ducked down behind the couch when Gladio showed up to collect Noctis.  The alpha had changed into formal robes and he looked very handsome. Gladio smiled at him and waved goodbye when they left a few minutes later.  Suddenly wondering what Ignis was wearing, Prompto hoped Noctis would send him a picture.

Watery Grave
Summary: Luna actually runs to Noctis’ side when she finishes her speech in Altissia. And this all leads to a chain of events, where she actually ends up surviving the Trial of Leviathan. For Noctluna Week. Rated T.
Lunafreya—surprised everyone, including herself—and ran Noctis' way, the moment she was done with her speech and found herself in her beloved's arms. And Noctis, while he was taken aback by this at first, was swift to wrap his arms around Luna’s waist and bury his face in her hair. But his initially being so frozen, almost made the Oracle giggle: when they'd been in Tenebrae for that short time—and Noctis had been nursing a crush for her even back then--he'd always made sure to seem "awkward" around her when Ravus was near. And he'd even told her in their letters to each other, that if they reunited somewhere that Ravus was also with them, he'd make sure to be respectful towards her. Well… Ravus wasn’t here, and yet Noctis had still behaved in such a way. And it made Luna believe that Noctis was actually much less suave than he wrote himself to be in their notebook. "What are you laughing at, Luna?" Noctis asked in a very good-natured way, as he tried to pull her away from the people now fanning over the engaged Oracle and Chosen King. Deciding not to tell Noctis that she'd been having teasing thoughts about him, Luna gave him another truth as she waved to the prince's friends to join them. "Just marveling at life... Earlier, I’d thought about giving up... because I know the Trial of Leviathan will be… taxing. And to prepare for that, I foolishly almost held off in coming to see you." Luna made certain to choose her words carefully here: she didn't want Noctis to know yet, was that she'd almost given up in seeing him... because she didn't want him to see her body so frail, and since she knew she’d die after the coming Contract. Why give her precious Noctis even more pain that way? "…But seeing you, Noctis, filled me with such... life, that I just had to be by your side." And it had even reminded her of why she so very much did want to live.
Noctis positively beamed at this, and even seemed to give Luna an Eskimo Kiss for reward—something that Luna didn’t understand at first. But she supposed that he was trying to do something that fit with the children they had once been together, and the lovers they now were. And so surely a kiss on the nose sufficed. And leading the way to where some artists in Altissia were now trying to draw them, Noctis said almost self-consciously, "…I'm really glad to see you happy, Luna. Even when I see you go out and heal people on TV, I see how you're always shaken before you start. This... is a nice difference from that." "You caught that, did you?" Luna found herself saying, before she'd even decided to: it just surprised her that Noctis knew her so well—she loved the public, she did, so she tried to put on a good show for them….—as the fact was, she was shy, nervous about public speaking, and hated being under Niflheim's thumb. And these were all things that Luna had never written in the Lovers’ Notebook. He had just gleaned it from her facial expressions on screen, apparently. "I did." Noctis' face was very close to Luna's now, and time seemed to stop and the world slowed down around them. Out of the corner of her eye, Luna saw streamers falling like rain—because apparently some of Altissia had stopped trying to bother them, but was now trying to celebrate the happy couple.
And even as sweet as it was, Luna now saw it as their cue to leave. Gladio, Luna thought, was tapping his foot at the happy couple impatiently, anyway.
So locking her arm with Noctis'—and how good it finally felt to be with him like this, as she had wanted—Luna followed the brothers to the Leville. ... Once at their hotel for the time being, the five friends tried to decide if Luna and Noctis’ wedding was still on. Gladiolus, Ignis, and Prompto seemed to think that it should be—as a symbol of the peace, and since both Luna and... Noct wanted it—but Luna was trying to shoo them away from the idea, since no matter what she would die on the morrow.
"Tomorrow, I commune with the Hydraean," Luna spoke firmly, looking at each person before her in turn as she did so. "And while the idea of the wedding is the best that I've ever heard... I can't be at all tired when meeting  Leviathan tomorrow." Luna thought she may have heard Gladio muttering that she should marry Noctis and have sex with him, then, so she’d be full of endorphins in that fateful moment... but she couldn't be too sure, because Ignis seemed to be trying to save him from choking now? Or was he trying to make Gladio choke?
"Whatever you want, Luna," Noctis assured—ignoring his friends with much effort, Luna thought—as he squeezed her hand in one of his and dealt Uno cards with another. “If you want our wedding to wait—maybe because you want the, a, commande- Ravus, that is, to be here—we can do that."
Gods Luna loved Noctis so much, and the thought of losing him now—after this—was too much to bear. And for that fact, Lunafreya felt a stubborn tear worrying at her eye but she willed it away. "Then it’s settled," Luna agreed.
And she cheated in Uno, to make sure the first card she played in this bonding experience of theirs was something that would make everyone happy… since she knew she'd have nothing but their pity soon. ... While Luna still wasn't sure if she was sleeping with her beloved or not—she didn't need the distraction, and didn't want to show him her disgusting body—they had retired to one hotel room together. And Noctis was reading a fishing magazine in bed, when Luna came out of the bathroom while brushing her long, damp hair. And as Luna sat at Noctis' feet and let the brush fall from her fingertips, she questioned Noctis something she'd been debating about all day: "What's something I can give Prompto for thanks in saving Pryn... err, his 'Tiny'?"
At that, Noctis laughed and brought her into his arms: Luna settled into them easily. "You should know better than anyone, Luna. How have we communicated over the years? How did you first meet Prompto?" Letters? Was that what Noctis meant? Luna supposed it made some sort of sense in a bookends kind of way, but she had planned on giving kind notes to Ignis—for so perfectly helping her to figure out the plan for Leviathan. So if she was now going to give such things to Prompto, what should she now give Ignis to differentiate between the two of them? Curling into Noctis' arms even more, and finding she wanted to be there and much more, Luna said breathlessly, "Do you really think that that's for the best, Noctis?" "Y-yeah." But he didn't sound very certain on the matter. Rather, the King's mind seemed to be a million miles away. The room was charged with electricity, for all of the unspoken things between them and then it seemed to explode. One of them kissed the other—Luna wasn't even sure who started it—and after they had frantic hands and kisses all over each other, they found themselves rolling in the sheets.
Somewhere in the back of her mind during it all, Luna found herself remembering that this was exactly the thing she’d wanted to avoid. But as happiness and pleasure consumed her, the Oracle easily found she could hide just how much her body was already dying in this one moment.
Hours later when they were done, Luna did write a million messages to Prompto. And she took off her seal of Tenebrae and gave it to Ignis, with the words "Please protect Noctis" on it. Given how much he cared for his charge, Luna thought he'd appreciate that more than anything else she could give him. For Gladio, she left him nothing... somewhat to Lunafreya's shame. But she thought if she somehow survived this, and she got pregnant from her and Noctis' actions the previous night, she might name their child after him. Perhaps.
To Noctis... she sadly left nothing behind. And most certainly not the truth. ... Luna, Noctis, and the brothers faced Leviathan… but it all very quickly went to hell. The goddess did not like the idea of helping the Chosen King as much as she should have. And even while she attacked Luna, Luna tried to convince her otherwise. …Altissia was leveled by all of the monster's attacks, and Luna didn't think that the citizens—or Noctis and their friends—could be evacuated from there soon enough: she absolutely cringed when she saw her betrothed fall from the sky and injure himself even more than he already was from his fighting, in nearly breaking his back. Luna tried to get to him... but then the Chancellor she didn't trust, and so had to keep an eye on, ruined everything by fatally stabbing her. The pain was unbearable—even worse than how her weakening body made her feel—but Luna couldn't focus on that now! She needed to rise Noctis up, and to have him finish this fight and receive the Blessing... and she did. And healed an unconscious Noctis and did her best to shield him from towering waves as she bled bled bled on the pavement. ... Luna knew she was some sort of dream-esque, afterlife moment with Noctis… And she tried her best to explain everything to him and give him a heartfelt goodbye... But when she started to sink beneath the water, some of Noctis’ sadness turned to incredulity as he crossed his arms and regarded her. "Luna... you're too ho-hum about this. You- you knew before this, didn't you?! That if nothing else killed you, the Contract with Leviathan would. And you didn't tell me?!" Noctis was furious now, and he had every right to be. Luna had messed up badly... and perhaps he would already move on here, and let her fall. Wasn’t it even what she deserved? But at the last second, almost spurred on by his anger, Noctis got an increase of speed and swam down to where she was in the Trench and tightly grabbed onto her hand. Everything went black then... Luna thought it was the end, so she tried to take the memory of Noctis’ hand in hers now—and he love he'd shown her last night—into the afterlife with her. But then she awoke—awoke!—to light, and her new friends, and the pair of smiling blue eyes that she loved so much. And thinking three times must have been the charm, Luna took Noctis’ hand in hers and leaned into his arm. And Noctis hunched down beside her hospital bed and held Luna as her head rested on his shoulder—both perfectly content.

The boys having a sleepover and somehow Prompto falls asleep before Noct during a film or something. He's cuddling a pillow and just looks so adorable
It was a pretty regular thing for the two of them to end up at Noctis’ apartment after school, especially once they started dating near the middle of senior year. Occasionally they would crash at Prompto’s instead, but now was not one of those times.
Graduation was drawing near, which meant the heavy-hitting season of finals was currently upon them. Noctis had sat through–and nearly fallen asleep through–plenty of study sessions with Ignis in the previous weeks. He was feeling pretty confident in the material. However, the same thing could not be said for Prompto.
Noctis had noticed the jitters in his boyfriend pretty early on, and it was fairly obvious from the bags under his eyes that he was pulling all-nighters already. He was stressed out, no doubt.
So, after a bit of persuasion on Noctis’ part and embarrassed stuttering on Prompto’s, they agreed to study together for the rest of Prompto’s classes.
Today was day three of that study session. The two had spent a bit of time at the school library, and then migrated to the apartment. After a few hours, Noctis decided that the poor guy needed to relax more than anything right now. There was no point in taking exams if he was too drained to function.
That led them to having a short video game tournament, in which they both definitely cheated, and soon enough Noctis could see the light that he adored return to Prompto’s eyes. He was laughing and messing around, which made Noctis sigh softly in relief. He would be alright.
Afterwards, they made a quick dinner. More accurately, Prompto dared Noctis to make something edible. They ended up microwaving cup noodles.
It was dark out before they knew it, and the decision was made to find a dumb movie to relax to before heading off to bed. And now here they were, eating noodles and snuggled up in a bundle of blankets while watching some cheesy comedy.
“Don’t fall asleep on me this time,” Prompto joked, lightly elbowing Noctis as he moved to put his empty cup on the coffee table. “You always do that. You have to stay awake for the whole movie. That’s a dare.”
Noctis snorted with an eye roll. “You’re full of dares today. And I’ll sleep whenever I want, thank you very much,” he mocked.
Prompto chuckled. “Whatever, Sleeping Beauty.”
“Be quiet and watch the movie.”
They settled back down, simply enjoying the presence of the other beside them. Noctis felt his eyes beginning to droop, but he did sort of want to stay up for Prompto. He didn’t want to leave him alone today.
About halfway through the movie, Noctis was focusing more on keeping that silent promise than actually taking in what was happening on screen, when he spared a glance to the side.
What he saw shocked him awake just a bit. Prompto was asleep.
Curled up around the pillow he had been holding, face half-buried in it, Prompto was peacefully in what appeared to be a very deep slumber. There was even a small trail of drool trailing from the side of his mouth. How long had he been like that?
Though that was gross, Noctis couldn’t fight the smile that tugged on the corners of his lips. “Hypocrite,” he muttered. Gods, he was cute, though.
Rare was a time that Noctis saw Prompto sleeping. He always fell asleep after Noctis, and he either awoke before or at the same time as him the next day. This was a rare sight, indeed, but Prompto more than earned his rest. He hadn’t said anything earlier, but Noctis admired how hard his boyfriend was working. He couldn’t wait to see all of that hard work pay off.
For now, Noctis wanted to make sure Prompto was comfortable. Carefully and quietly, he reached for the remote to turn off the tv, then dragged himself from his cocoon of blankets. He looked down one more time at Prompto’s sleeping form. His hair was a tousled mess, and a few strands of it blew back and forth on front of his slightly-open mouth. The grip he had around that pillow was difficult to undo without waking him, but Noctis just thought about how much he wanted that hold around him instead. This guy on his couch was such a disaster. Noctis was so in love with him.
Still operating with slow caution, Noctis shifted Prompto before hooking his arms under his back and his legs. A bit of whining protest sounded from the sleeping boy, but he quieted soon after as he was carried off to a proper bed.
As he set him down and moved the covers, Noctis heard a soft voice and paused. It came again soon after. “Noct…thanks.” That faint smile returned, and he slipped into the space beside Prompto.
Gently, he pressed a kiss to the other’s nose. “Anytime, Prom.”
This is a bit short, but I hope you like it!
