im actually not! well. idk. reading the bible and talking abt it rly makes me wanna be christian again.

tl;dr i am considering accepting jesus christ into my heart but i dont know if itll happen bc whenever i type or say anything slightly religious i cringe or make it into a joke. also sorry to any christian who finds my bible posting

i was raised catholic, went to church and bible study for 3 yrs, did my first communion, then dipped bc it was horrid. i was so so against being catholic u cannot imagine. i was against church, i was against begging some man in the sky for mercy, i was against their gay policy, i was against saying my pets had no soul- i was against absolutely everything except some bops in church

then i had my first big voluntary christian phase at 13-14 in which i drew more towards protestantism and attempted to read the bible cover to cover (i failed but theres a lot that i read.) i went to a lutheran hs for 2 yrs in seventh and eighth grade so that mightve influenced it tho i HATED monday morning worship at 7am and i cant believe its still happening even tho ppl routinely fainted and shit. bc u have to stand. the whole time

i also wanted to be a nun for a goooood while but turns out im just aroace and autistic (chastity and rigid rules sounds amazing to me huh)

so im 21 now and i started writing my angel demon story and i wanted to make heaven a cult like dystopia (and it turned into my own ranting at some points) and i wanted to give cassael actual bible-accurate problems. bible-accurate brainwashing lol it came to me because something i said abt them either on here or in rp made me remember that verse abt the yoke and stuff (my yoke is easy and my burden is light) and i was like wait i should read the bible and pick out the whumpiest worst most horrid most easy to misinterpret and turn horrible verses. so here i am.

but then i got rly rly into it. its remarkably easy to enjoy the story when im not reading the 1908 károli translation and spending all my spoons untangling the wording. and the thing is, i was always spiritual yknow. thats why i bounced so much between faiths and beliefs. ive followed the law of assumption stuff for a year or so now, i had genuine results from it- honestly everything i believed in has yielded good results for me always. whether it be christianity or paganism or loa. when i read the bible i DO feel loved even thru the incredible amount of horrid shit god does lol i felt loved at 13 and i feel loved now. so idk. im withholding judgement until i finish reading it but honestly nobody be surprised if i go back to my christian bs before the semester starts

oh thats another thing. im miserable lmao so not very hard for god to swoop in and be like hey do u wanna talk abt ur lord and saviour. me.

but im not rly gonna change in any way even if i do decide that tho, i think. my policy is already "be kind do good leave others alone". i dont think im gonna get preachy on here or anything. i mean has anyone seen much vegan posting from me? so i think im good

I've been writing Joel for less than three months and it rly does feel like so much longer that we've been interacting. Y'all are honestly a huge part of my day/life/heart, too.

I've never acknowledged a milestone before, but I realized it's not really about me, it's about "the community," like you said. ahhh i don't really know how/when i got into writing. i'd always been a huge reader as a kid, and i think that was probably the greatest influence on wanting to write. monkey see, monkey do. i used to write a lot of short stories, and did all throughout college as well. also i took writing courses throughout high school and college but tbh i don't think those helped me much. i think what helped me be a writer more than anything else was english courses, and reading classics, and reading books that made me see the face of god (im an atheist). and, of course, you'll never write anything worth reading if you don't have something you REALLY want to say. you gotta have something to say... even if that's just 'namkook married' you've got to want to say it with ur whole heart..... and i do.. i rly do... hope readers can see that 💞

as for dialogue.... 1. my birth chart is mostly air (gemini tbh) so i think that cannot be undervalued as a contributing factor... just... love to have a lil chat... ask anybody who dms me rip.... 2. my rule of thumb for dialogue is that it should read/sound like something you'd wanna eavesdrop on and not miss a word of (which is what readers are essentially doing). whenever i write and i start getting bored by the conversation, i delete and rewrite. if i'm bored by my own stuff, spare a thought for the poor readers... also, personally, i have focus issues reading fic so i also try not to weigh dialogue down with too much narration, exposition, internal monologues, and unnecessary movement. also i think dialogue scenes read better/faster/stronger when there are line breaks between speakers and clear indications as to who is speaking. i cannot speak for other people, but my personal mount everest is trying to read a dialogue scene that is dialogue + huge brick of narration after every exchange... may god save my soul.... basically i write as i'd wanna read... i hope everybody does that for themselves! maybe everybody who likes my dialogue just enjoys their adhd being catered to hehehe quick and snappy, people!! let's gooooooo!!

Chapter 18: just the beginning

*This was amazing, the setup he had made was beautiful. A simple show of affection but it meant the world to you. The candles he had lit around the apartment had also wowed you.

The lighting was so elegant and the wine plus good conversation only added to the already amazing night. This date had been long overdue, and it was such a relief to just be there.

Listening to his own story was quite a lot to take in but you enjoyed how he had shown to trust you.

Edward in a way had been cursed from the start, the orphanage situation though was most shocking. It angered you the way the Wayne family had seemingly abandoned not only him, but all the other children there. You felt guilty for being fooled by their kind facades and empty words of worry.

They didn’t care, but you did.

Moving aside from the subject he had told you about his work as a forensic accountant, and his interest in puzzles, riddles and really anything to that nature. It endeared you how stereotypical he really was, the whole nerd thing looked good though.

After a few more glasses of wine and the finishing of your meals you helped Edward clean up the table and set up for the next part of your date.

The scary movie marathon you’d planned so long ago was finally happening and you couldn’t believe it. Pulling out the futon on the couch, you laid out a blanket and Edward followed up by setting some pillows down and an array of films. You sat down and once more he followed, you curled up into his side, your glass in hand. “You’ve really outdone yourself Ed..” you giggled leaning on him for support as you gazed up at him.

“I really love this.. it’s so sweet of you.” He chuckled and placing his arm around you he leaned in kissing your forehead. “For you, it’s worth it. Besides I wanna treat you nice, especially after the week you’ve had..” he cooed. You nodded and took another sip from your glass, emptying out the last of the liquid. Letting out a sigh you leaned back for a moment, “Need more?” Edward offered, starting to get up with his own empty glass.

You nodded, handing it to him. “Me too, I’ll be right back.” He seemed excited. “Can you grab my phone too? I need to tell them I’m staying the night.” You asked, batting your lashes at him. Edward gulped and then nodded, smiling wide as he walked to the kitchen behind you. Relaxing into the pillows, you leaned back and picked up the various DVDs in front of you. “Hey Eddie!”

You called, “Let’s watch this one first!” You set the DVD down in the spot he’d been sitting. “I can’t see it Hun.” He playfully called, sounding drunk as you. You laughed and then turned to face him as he was walking back in. “Sorry,” you giggled, “But look now, what do you think?” You asked, grabbing your drink from him. Edward grabbed it and nodded, placing it into the Tv and then sitting beside you again.

You smiled and cheered to ‘finally having a date night’ before taking a sip. Edward watched with silence and a smirk as the drink went down your throat. After a few more sips of the drink you began to feel a little sick. You must’ve drank a little too much because you were struggling to even sit up off of him, “Ed..” the words instantly trailed off and panic started to brew in your system.

Edward said nothing, his eyes now focused on the movie. You tried again, your body struggling to move as you pushed off him and struggled to sit up. You winced as your eye had hit the back of the couch slightly. He finally looked over at you and grinned.

A jolt of energy shook your body to move, forcing you to fight your way over the couch, but you were met with the harsh ground, yelping as you hit the floor. “Y/n.” Edward cooed, leaning back to watch you struggle, but he made no movements to get up. “I must’ve put a little too much..” he sighed and turned away from you getting up.

Your vision was starting to blur and time was moving in slow motion, you still fought to stay awake even as your body began to give in. Blinking heavily, you saw his black boots stride up to you, heavy thuds rumbling. “Goodnight princess..” he cooed and with that you whispered not forming any words as you passed out.

**This had gone perfectly. You had walked right into his plans. Even sipping the drink without taking another peak, amazing. He laughed to himself after you’d passed out on the floor, picking up your phone and sending the usual texts. You were gonna be out for a few hours which would give him time to sneak you out while Ron was on lunch.

Edward was so happy with his work he allowed himself to indulge in touching your face again as you slept. But he had another part to do and that included clean up. He was quick to rid any evidence you’d been there that night, even going in and removing the pings of your location. Every precaution had been taken to ensure you fell off the face of the earth.

Within a few hours he had been able to relocate you to his newest place, filled with his chemicals, some rats and a few files he’d kept there.

You were resigned to a small room that was supposed to be a walk-in closet, chained to the wall with a small padded bed underneath you.

He left you water and set up his final touches of a surveillance camera in the corner before leaving. Pleased with the work he had completed today.

mechanically: nooooo NEGATIVE CHARISMA LOOKING ASS. doesn't mean it's not worth trying. has semi-successfully hidden they're half eladrin to the party for 2 months i think, through sheer Focus (very funny, we've been rolling con saves for it). i will count being from elven bloodlines of seasonal mood-ring eyes and markings as "having a tell" and count "covering that shit up with makeup" as a point toward being kind of a good liar. more in general: they're a mediocre actor with a lot of heart, so they're amazing at things they've practiced a lot, like assuming a new identity and being super mean (they're currently here in camp). kind of a tell: hair flip when nervous. it's an elle woods kind of move.

I'M SORRY LOVE SONGS" it's just sooo it. beside the whole romantic love thing of the poem it's very much also about forgiveness towards urself which is very sweet. lyrics... they have a big ol playlist out of which boys don't cry might be one of Thee songs, but i've had the vaccines on loop for a couple days so 👍 i always knew "let's go to bed before u say something real let's go to bed before u say how u feel" kind of hilarious. their ladyprince girl best friend at them for years.

KIND OF LITTLE I FEEL. WEEEE as the whole party. figured out we were having a cross-campaign family tree of elves with red-adjacent hair and an m- initial like midway thru, which made me go from "uhh UHH theyre a sun elf or something?" to having a Big Ol Family, and esp the eladrin stuff which is preddy important to their character now. ended up making me lean more on the vibe of hm... duality i guess. Thee standing between but not rly feeling like u fit in any part of the world + learning how to make ur way to where u wanna go anyway. this also means they have like, a bunch of hairstyle changes and i'm DREADING making an artfight sheet and having to explain the visual journey without sounding crazy (#swag) then u__u made em as a character w a big theme of Grief since the start which has always been very fun to explore. especially after last year that has been Something to me it's very cathartic as well to write silly little character who go thru The Shit and Have Been Hamlet Many Times, Inside Their Head, and then get their silly little happy ending ☀💖

um so because they can't keep one actor being the doctor like . forever. its going to have its 60th anniversary next year so like. they couldn't have stayed kgkgjfkfj. they give each one like 3 seasons roughly? and a few christmas specials etc etc and then the doctor regenerates into a new incarnation of themselves. they can't control Anything about this which is a uhhhhhh .genetic defect because the rest of the timelords Can. or could. they're sorta dead. lol. but because the show started 60 years ago + some of the older writers are a mix of racist and misogynistic, historically the doctor has been played by a bunch of white men. BUT . when the doctor regenerated on screen for the 12th time (going into the 13th incarnation) here we start winning . the first female doctor!!!!! the backlash was stupid misogynistic and literally so bad that ppl Stopped watching. also they complained that the writing was shitty which was kinda fair but also !! u can live a little. maybe shitty writing is how we stay grounded. i love my shitty little show with its bad special effects. gimme a tardis sound and ill go insane for a month im a simple guy. rly wanna get that tony conrad faust album... cause i have the CD of fausts two albums which are great but also like idk i guess im not a huge faust fan cause theres a lot of great moments but a lot of it like reminds me of cheesy late 60s early 70s pyschedlic film background music u kno like the music in lupin or like belladonna fo sadness or whatever i think its the acoustic guitar that gives me that vibe. not knocking it cause i think its cool but like compared to the other german bands like can neu cluster doesnt feel as revolutionary or iconclastic to me but i rly like that tony conrad album or atleast what  i heard of it. i mean i love thier first two albums especially their second theres still a great amazing sound like on the first song and it has that like hypnotic vibe to it it just tends to be a bit more not as apparent as it is with the previously mentioned bands. but i also like how they sound more overtly 60s and more overtly rock than their contemporaries while managing to also sound more to earth but also still not of earth like at different times. i just feel like ultimately my love for them doesnt seem as strong as what i see written about them but ya i rly like the drone of that tony conrad album but given how common it is i should be in no hurry to order it and since its so common i may as well wait and look around some CD stores first b4 ordering it cause its possible i could find it out since like this faust CD i found at the store downtown so ya. anyways ya im listening to the faust first 2 albums cd i have but it also is making me wish i had that tony conrad CD cause the great moments on this remind me of that. well ok not that much rn cause im on the second album and theres some rly great moments on that that are prolly equal to if not better than that tony conrad collab so like everything is p awesum rn
