bc like. no they're men. they should be in men's bathrooms unless that feels unsafe. but. it really feels like it's not helpful to lean into the idea that seeing someone presenting masc or being read as a man in a women's bathroom means You're In Danger.

like I know several butch women and NB ppl who are really scared around being on T or getting top surgery bc they're not men and they don't want to be in the men's bathroom, and in that circumstance stuff like growing facial hair or reading more androgynously can be really fucking scary when people are being primed by propaganda to be on edge and hyperreactive to anyone who doesn't look like their idea of a Cis Woman.

and I'm not laying that at the feet of the people saying "hey uhhhh trans men are men and don't belong in women's bathrooms" bc it is not their fault. it's the fault of a concerted effort to make it difficult and dangerous to be trans or substantively gender nonconforming in public.

but at the same time idk I guess it just worries me cause sometimes it feels like "you fools! you are worried about this group of trans people bc you think they're the Lurking Danger of Men In Bathrooms? WRONG! the Men Making You Feel Afraid In Bathrooms are actually THESE trans people!" when in fact neither of those groups using the fucking bathroom is a problem. just piss and mind your business. people need to go where they need to go.

everyone watching the one piece live action for zoro and buggy and their respective (very handsome) actors, meanwhile i (a person that despises live actions) sit here watching it for taz skyler because he's so fine and took professional cooking classes to immerse in the role and kickboxing lessons so he can do his own stunts???? amazing. taz has single handedly made me love sanji as a character even more (which i didnt know was possible)

Bluey is so frickin good!!!! I love watching it as someone who wants to be a parent or like actual good role model to kids in the future! Chilly and Bandit are so chill and it's nice to see the adults still do their adult things AND also treat their kids with respect????!!!! And yes of course! like i get that sometimes it could seem "weird" to other people that so many people are drawn to a preschooler show and like Yeah it's quite a phenomenon, but i'm not harming anybody by watching it. sometimes i'm simply in a headspace where i can't Deal with very many Negative or Unfortunate concepts, which MANY shows have (naturally! shows need conflict!). which is why i like to watch bluey—it has almost none of that, and is kept rather lighthearted and surface-level, and sometimes i need that. i mentioned in my tags of that reblog that it's helped me get over anxiety and that is true; it's genuinely calmed me down and allowed me to take in the world again

It's funny how I don't even have a real 'tav' anymore. Over the course of my RP blog I completely withdrew Iraestra (my drow, evil route necro wizard tav) from the tav storyline and instead made her a potential follower that you can recruit and save from the cult in Act 2. And I find everything I've done with her so much more interesting than what she'd previously had as just a tav. She's so fully developed and realized that I feel like I could confidently write as a fic character tbh. She's part of the mostly dead Oblodran drow noble house and as such is a powerful psionic and has ties with mindflayers, so she directly helped the Chosen with their flayer & tadpole research, only to have been tadpoled in the end herself (rip).

And I have a resist half-orc Durge, and while I don't shy away from his past or make him this ultra shining light of a protag (he's neutral good at best and not very honorable, has a lot of baggage and tries so, so hard to be good even though he's not, what is goodness even really), I am sitting here wanting to make an in-depth non-resist Durge. Who is just gleefully bloody and awful and goes back to Bhaal because that is their purpose, after all. They just forgot it for a little while.
