Hello! It's me, from your notifications! Do you have a summary of your story anywhere? I went through a few character tags, but didn't find one. Also, I love that Damian is disabled but still gets to dress up all fancy. I didn't realize how rare it is to see that.

Hihi :D! I don't really have a story summary yet as a lot is still in planning and it's very wip BUT I can give you some links in semi chronological order of what I have got and also gush about it here!

aaa I'm so glad you like Dorian and how I present him >u< full disclaimer, I myself am a physically abled person. I'm trying my best to write and present him as respectfully as I can with a lot of research and opinions of friends in similar states of disability- but I may be ham fisted or get things wrong, so to anyone who reads this, please let me know if I fuck up somewhere. I'd rather be told I did something wrong or presented something disrespectfully than have people be uncomfortable in silence about it. DISCLAIMER OUT OF THE WAY- Yeah I noticed like, a lot of disabled characters ( be it physical or mental ) don't really get presented as if they like dressing up or looking nice- particularly after trying to look up more disability friendly ways Dorian would probably use. It Sucks lol. At least from the people with mental disabilities side of it where I sit, I can say that ain't true of everyone at all. It's just harder.

ANYWAYS, SUMARY OF POSTS AND STORY RAMBLING

So you can find some character reference stuff from this post here with picrew images- they were mainly so I could get a general idea of the main cast without physically having to draw them quickly

The story so far

The first post chronologically would be this one, as it talks about what happened to Dorian specifically. A bit about his home life, his parents, his neighbour and how he was released from said situation. I'm currently working on figuring out what the antagonist of this section's ties were to which god- but my main goal was to make it feel realistic at first before involving mythos with it. CW: : Stalking, kidnapping, delusions (involving pseudo incest thoughts ), (spinal) injury

After the incident, Dorian was hospital bound for a While. He'd been given a spinal injury, he was severely traumatised and could not be trusted to look after himself after all that yet because he was 6 months into being 18 when Mayline's life time of stalking came to a head. Even with rehabilitation efforts alone, the stint in hospital would've been a long one but then there was also the mental hurdles too. You can read some of that experience here. CW: medical setting, reactions to trauma, involuntary wetting and messing mention, a character being forcibly restrained in a non sexual way and trying to come to terms with mobility loss.

So while he was trying to adjust to his new normal there were a lot of things he would try to do to feel as if his life hadn't drastically changed ( it had, it's unfair that it happened but it is fine that it is now his life. Period of adjustment and all. ) He waited until Mayline's trail had been dealt with to carry on with education because, well. He's scared of her. He wants to know what's going to happen with her before he tried anything. During that time he read a lot, basically exposure therapying himself to the dark stories and stuff he enjoyed before because he didn't want to lose something that he felt made up so much of his identity. It almost definitely wasn't healthy but that is how he dealt with it.

After about a year or two, he decided he wanted to give further education a try. Since he was a kid he wanted to be a baker- he knew at least at the moment it was a pipe dream, mostly because of the various conditions that he has making said environment pretty dangerous. But he wanted to try.

While doing his culinary course, he met Leia. They didn't initially interact that much- very different aesthetics and very different circles. But Leia's a very intense and bubbly lass- so when she saw Dorian reading a book that she'd also wanted to read; there was basically no hesitation in her running up to him to chatter about the book. They became fast friends after that. Becoming friends with Leia helped him a lot in all honesty- Dorian was kind of Terrified of women after the incident ( and felt awful for it ) especially if they shared features with Mayline ( Blonde hair, blue eyes ect ), so Leia being both a woman and having blonde hair helped bring him out of it some what.

Dorian met Steven during the middle of his second year. It was when he decided to get his first tattoo ( the one on his thigh ) and Steven was apprenticing as a tattoo artist at the time. It's kind of difficult to not talk at least a little while going through the pretty long process of being tattooed and they ended up just getting along really well and meshing super well so just continued to meet up when they could because they enjoyed each others company.

Dorian also met Stevens current partner at the time, Charlie. They were all pretty friendly with each other though romantically, Charlie and Steven only lasted about 8 months. They broke it off mutually agreeing they'd be better friends and actually did become much closer as a platonic bestfriends rather than romantic partners. Charlies cool, he helped Dorian solder spikes to the rims of the wheels on his wheelchair to force people to stop trying to get to close lmao. It was his idea.

After university Dorian realised there was no way he could safely hold down a job. The mobility issues were too much to handle in a commercial kitchen setting even without the stress induced narcolepsy. It messed with him for quite a bit.

He lived on the internet for a bit, being fond of niche gothic forums and very surprisingly, still taking interest in true crime. It might've been an interest before his kidnapping but now he just wants to try to understand what the hell was going on in Mayline's head. He met Maxine on one of these forums, they talked about gothic lit for quite a bit before exchanging socials and forming a friendship off that.

During this time Dorian and Steven also started dating- and after about a year and a half, moved in together. They have a lower floor apartment together and one day hope to get a house together. Dorian also got his two kitties, Carmilla and Poe!

While living together Steven suggested to Dorian the idea of videoing himself baking or streaming it. It was kinda him recognising Dorian was trying to get over the hurdle of not being able to do what he wanted since he was a kid but also not wanting to give up completely. It isn't perfect but it works and Dorian finds a lot of fulfilment in it. He doesn't show his face ever, understandably, so he does his best to remain more or less anonymous on the internet with these things :3

All of these characters have been touched by at least one of the gods in in some way in this universe btw. I am figuring out the semantics but ye! That's what I've got so far c:

● He would never say it aloud, but he loves them. There's something about breasts that catches his attention and refuses to let it go. Though, at such a large size, he does worry. You must have back pain, no? You'll catch him staring at your tits with a bright flush across his face. He is looking respectfully (and disrespectfully).

● If you're ever sitting on his lap, and he's stressing about something around the station, you may find yourself boob being used as a stress ball. It's completely unconscious. Ingo deeply apologises over and over again. He'll offer a back massage in compensation, embarrassed from his actions terribly so.

● He also uses them as pillows in bed. It's strangely cute to see him sleeping so peacefully on your chest. You wonder if he does it from a strange instinct from when he was younger, or if this is a strictly 'Ingo' thing. Asking Emmet provides no answers, you just learn to live with the older twin laying his head on your chest. At least, he seems relaxed. All the stiffness from the day goes away.

● Ingo is the only allowed enjoyer of your chest, so he glares whenever someone stares for too long. He may even call them out vocally if he feels so inclined. His mood becomes a huffy one. Some people have no manners, he swears. You wonder if he realises how often and obvious it is when he stares at your chest, but hold your tongue.

● Stands outside the store when you go bra shopping in shame. You have to drag him in, and he's staring at the floor the entire time. It's all very annoying. Eventually, he'll look at up when you ask him his opinion. He will give if a genuine opinion after three tries. For being a tit guy, he sure doesn't like paying the price.

○ He's 100% looking disrespectfully at them. Emmet's mind races with unsavoury thoughts, but he'll never say one aloud unless he feels especially teasing. Instead, he asks how annoying shirt shopping must be. Having to likely go a size up just for your breasts to be accounted for. He's just recounting some random stuff Elesa told him, his mind is elsewhere.

○ If you're ever sitting in his lap, he may cup a feel, but for a different reason than Ingo. His head rests on your shoulder with a dumb smile. Emmet loves you verrrry much. You wish he wouldn't do things like this on the subway, no matter how packed it is.

○ Since he prefers to be the big spoon in bed, you'll occasionally find he grabs onto them when sleeping. His smile is sweet, and his brain is 100% off. He's comfortable, leave him be. Though, occasionally, you'll have him lay his head on your breasts and hum. He looks so content and cute, it's tempting to call him a baby. (He doesn't like it if you do.)

○ If anyone's staring, they'll have him glaring. Emmet smiles at them creepily and shakes his head. If they keep it up, he'll march over to them and demand they stop, or he'll fight them. You sigh and wonder if he means a pokemon battle or physical brawl. He can stare at your chest and think the most inappropriate things imaginable, but no one else can.

○ Will help you go bra shopping, and somehow he will manage to find the perfect bra for you. He just shrugs when asked how. Emmet also has no shame being in there. He does pick up some lingerie and give puppy eyes, though. Whether you say yes or not is up to if you feel like telling him no or not.

mShenko appreciation post...

So... I usually (ejem... better said always, if I'm being honest XD) choose femShep in Mass Effect.

Long story short, I like to play characters in my own gender... Kinda helps a lot with the immersion, despite the fact that I look nothing like my main Shep. And, in the wise words of my brother: "If I'm gonna have to stare at an ass for hours of gameplay, I prefer it to be a woman's ass" (Nothing against men ass' on my part though... I mean, I'm a Kaidan stan 😳😳😳 but I'm week when it comes to females curves ehehehehehe sue me XD)

Anyways... Butt thing aside, I always play femShep. And the same femShep, Mio Shepard. Because I got the fanfic writer disease back when I was like 13 years old and I haven't found the cure yet, so... All I play, write and draw (because I didn't have enough obsessions already lol) related to the main ME trilogy is about my main shep and Kaidan.

I swear I'm about to make my point, stay with me for a little longer XD

Thing is, with the launch of MELE, I decided to see the mShenko romance for the first time (yep, first time... I imagine you can already tell, but I'm that kind of person that once she likes a game, she plays it a 1000 times but always in the exact same way and making the same choices in every single run).

So here we are, a year later, and here's the post about it 😅😅😅

As I told you before, I tend to focus on fShenko. I love the Shenko fandom as a whole, but from what I've seen and from the people I follow, fShenko is in need of more help, support and content than mShenko (I may be wrong here... but the moment your femshep likes dudes people tends to scream at you why you shouldn't be with Kaidan and my mission in life is to always be there to reply that idgaf about how many aliens they think I should bang XD)

Said all that, mShenko.

It's fucking awesome.

Period.

Like... Truly amazing.

Mesmerizing.

(sorry... I had to XD)

I may be biased here, because Kaidan's arc with his sexuality is very similar to my own, but, the whole "At the end of the day, I'd love you no matter what gender you were" is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my whole life.

I was also very surprised by the amount of differences there were between both romances... Both of them top tier. And, against all my expectations, I can comfortably say that they are equally good. So if you love Kaidan and you've only seen one side, I really recommend you to check the other (learn from my mistakes ehehehehe although I think I've enjoyed mShenko 10 times more than I would have before making a few discoveries about myself... so I'm kinda happy it took me so long. Now it feels more special to me <;3)

fShenko has all the young, pure~ish, forbidden, cute and heart-racing vibes in ME1 *chef's kiss* and then (after a bit of angst) you have the mature, long-lasting, I'd die for you romance that we all deserve.

mShenko, on the other hand, is more Kaidan focused in my opinion, which I truly like, and his realization of what is love (🎵) and what Shepard really means for him, which I find extremely cute and beautiful.

And I'll admit, I'm the first to complain about Bioware (perks of being a forever resident of the shenko vortex) but I have to congratulate them on the way they wrote mShenko in ME3.

I really thought it would be ultra cringy and forced, because that kind of evolution is not the easiest to write, but I was sooooooo wrong and I'm sooooooo glad that I was. So yay~ to Bioware on this one!

So, yup... I wanted to do a quick post and here we are now, an hour later ehehehehehe 😅😅

Anyways, and to wrap this up, just sharing an opinion (or ten) here... I was just thinking about it today and I felt like writing a post about it (there's always room for more Kaidan appreciation posts <3).

Also, really love your writing! Speaking of character interactions, I just adore how you write your characters! They all ooze personality and charm! I am looking at Sun & Moon very respectfully. I am also looking at Eclipse respectfully, but in such a way that you can tell if he didn’t have so much influence and power in the criminal underbelly as well as being the city’s top #1 fire hazard/bruise giver, I would be very disrespectfully hitting him with a car. Whenever you give Dew a cookie in your writing, my brain is handing me a Serotonin, it's also handing me a few more when there's an escape attempt and it fails and we get to see both the fuck around and the find out

Heck, I love looking at your writing (sentence can end here) and seeing what Anton's doing subtly. Like the almost nonsense injections to pass the time and to try to encourage Dew to pull stuff to check out the mind control and then the punishment of being made to stay still while being injected with stuff to get him over the fear of needles (with questionable success) had me Feral, like when Anton forced Dew to get over it enough to ask for the pain killers before he thought it was going to kill him (I might have to send a separate ask about that scene alone, it plays in my head Often)

Anyways I shall haunt thy ask box no longer (for now) but yes, I am so normal about the chicken. It is good size, perfect for hug. The plush is also very nice and definitely didn't spend ten minutes solid with it consuming my thought when I first saw it. (sorry if you did get all the like notifs)

I had the thought that Chloe and Bakugou are like inverses of each other.

Chloe is supposed to be a flat character who is a Bad Person (because someone's entire moral compass can be written as 'bad' and can be determined at all as a child) but the writers keep accidentally making her sympathetic while Bakugou is supposed to be going through a character arc but the writer keeps including scenes of him attacking people for no reason all the way up to The Late-Series War Arc (I am disrespectfully looking at you, Chapter 253) leaving both of them with a lot of potential that's undercut by the stories they're in.

Also just occurred to me that they're mirrored in how Bakugou is generally liked in-universe and Chloe very much is not. I'd better stop now before I write a whole essay

Uh anyway I guess my point is, sometimes Death of the Author is a declaration of war and thank goodness for Ao3.

I mean.

Someone somewhere had a good essay re: how it seems like Bakugo is both the same but different and it's weird. I can't remember if it was on here or if it was a tiktok but it was summed up in two points.

1.) Character Development =/= Personality Change. Katsuki is a grumpy motherfucker who will insult people and roughhouse with them. No amount of learning to be better will change that. He can learn to tone it down, to be clear about what he's trying to say, to fix things when he genuinely hurts someone. But he's not going to magically become soft and sweet and smiley.

Is this still an issue? Eh. While Katsuki should learn to be more considerate of other people as a whole, he is under no obligation to change who he is to please others. The trick to this is communication, finding people that are genuinely okay with him being like that, and avoiding people who aren't into it(respectfully, not derogatorially.).

2.) In a fictional medium, comically exaggerated actions, gags and slapstick exist. Katsuki blowing up at someone or causing harm that falls into this category /does not count/. It is not something to be taken seriously. It's. I had this same conversation ages ago in the fma fandom about Winry hitting people with a wrench. It's a comedic thing that does not genuinely matter, the characters are not genuinely harmed.

For example, you mention chapter 253. That has Katsuki throwing the pointy part of his costume at Izuku's head. Everyone panicks for a moment but immediately cuts to them all in costume for the day, Izuku still having the costume piece stuck in his head, and All Might is making cotton candy.

That is a /gag/. It's supposed to be laughed at, not taken seriously. If it was taken seriously, then there'd be more than a panel of panic, and the boys would've dragged Izuku to get medical attention. Not just let him walk around with the piece in his head and go to class.

The character moments that matter are the /serious/ moments, not the gags. The apologizing, the working to be better, the taking Izuku seriously as a fellow Hero. So on and so forth.

This can get.....tricky to balance. That's why Mineta's bullshit doesn't work despite him being a gag character. If it happens often enough/overshadows genuine character moments, it can lead to the audience taking it seriously regardless of intent.

But the general rule on how seriously to take something like that is to see how the characters react to it. Do they take it seriously? Or is it just a few moments of ?!?!??!.

1. I have good news for once!! 😭

I got a raise and more hours at the job that I share with Cute Boy™ and it is enough of an opportunity/pay increase that I was able to quit my third job so now I will have a little more free time, get to see Cute Boy™ more, and won't have to deal with my really shitty boss (if I were not incredibly introverted, socially awkward, and just generally averse to confrontation irl I probably would have called HR on this dude multiple times tbh).
