I love that Harry was a shitty person before the start of disco elysium and you can choose to be kind while playing the game.

Like i haven't seen the game all the way through but it seems like a lot of Harry's shittiness was a persona he had built up over the years and was stuck in. He didn't even enjoy it or like who he was acting as. It was all forced but the force of habit kept him so trapped he had to literally forget everything about himself to get unstuck. But It still takes a lot of will power to even get rid of the The Expression! This shitty awful persona is so ingrained in him even before he had amnesia he didn't know who he was.
