Azriel Drabble

Azriel’s smile is warm, his gaze tired when it meets yours through the room. You return his smile, knowing this day has been long, the previous week exhausting.

And you know he needs you, you need him. Holding him, caressing him, talking about his mission while sharing some sweet kisses.

Yearning and longing fills the bond, stretching out. You both just want to go home, want to be alone.

So when hours later the meeting finally ends, it is what you do, rushing home immediately, stripping out of most clothes and tumbling into bed.

You kiss the top of Azriel’s head when you pull him to your chest. The shadowsinger hums, burying his face in your cleavage, drawing in a deep breath. "So soft," he hums and kisses your skin.

You manage to pull the thick blanket over the both of you, getting all warm and cozy, giggling lightly at your sweet mate.

"I missed you so much," he mumbles, voice muffled. Momentarily his tired, heavy-lidded gaze meets yours and he smiles. Then lowers his face again, chest heaving with a deep inhale.

Your hand brushes through his hair, lower to his neck, down his back and up to his hair again. Azriel’s arms curl tighter around your body, leaving no room between the two of you. You practically merge, wanting to be as close as possible. With his knee Azriel wedges your thighs apart, bringing you even an inch closer. Delighted about your closeness, the spymaster releases a loud, happy sigh that has you giggling.

"I missed you, too, my love. More than you can imagine," you say and kiss Azriel’s head once again, your hand, that is not in his hair, moving to his strong arm, fingers brushing over the dark swirls of ink.

The spymaster’s wings flare, shielding you from the outside world. In this cocoon it is just the two of you—your needy Illyrian baby and you, his beloved mate, finally together, united, madly in love.

Now that we know exactly when episode 3 is coming, I think it's time to reveal this goofy little thing I've been working on for... a while. 😅 (with tons of feedback and suggestions from the wonderful, incomparable @man-down-in-hatchet-town, of course!)

I think I've seen people make bingo boards like this for other fandoms, and I've been so psyched for TGOA and having an absolute blast tossing theories back and forth in me & Brooke's dms—and sharing some with the rest of you in unreasonably long posts—that I thought it would be a lot of fun to make a little Bingo card with my own predictions for episode 3! some of these I'm really rooting for, but I'm just so excited for a new episode in general.

obviously space is limited, so i had a tough time choosing what to put on here. as for my brooke/aurelia gifs, yes i will be making more hella soon, it just took me a bit longer to get the colouring just right, especially for the darker, fire-lit and interior scenes you’re mentioning. bUT now that i have my psd set i’ll be going chronologically through the next episodes & there will be four more mini-packs released for each remaining episode she appears in, and i’ll probably be almost done by the end of the weekend or mid-week depending on work and brain energy

The cool breeze whipped through her neatly done hair. Her eyes glimmered like the vast expanse of ocean before her.

Her hand was tightly intertwined with another’s, the man she deemed more precious than anyone else in the world. And in that moment, she understood why her dear friend chose to marry the love of her life in a place that was truly paradise.

“...and to always be at your side, from now until forever.”

She gripped Ethan’s hand tighter, as though she was promising him the same. He squeezed back, and she felt a single tear escape her eye.

Weddings made her emotional, even more so when she had the person she knew she could count on for the rest of her life beside her.

“...and most of all, celebrate how you fill my life with joy and love, every day, from now and forever.”

Against her better judgement, she stole a glance at Ethan, and felt her heart skip a beat to find him looking at her with a look of pure adoration.

Ethan Ramsey had never allowed the idea of marriage to cross his mind for almost twenty five years. A simple partnership that would break apart after a couple of years. That was all he had known, or rather, chose to take into account.
