On January 22nd the moderator will start collecting summaries from authors who have signed up. Please have the summary of your story prepared and sent in by January 30th. If the moderator does not have your summary by or on January 30th you will not be included in the match-up process, and assumed to have dropped out.

Timeline:

Author Sign Ups - December 4th (2023) - January 1st(2024)

Author's summaries of their WIP due: January 30th

Artist Sign Ups - February 1st - March 31st

Check in #1 - May 1st

Check in #2 - July 1st

Check in #3 / Final day to drop out - August 1st

Check in #4 - September 1st

Final check-in - October 1st

Posting begins - November 8th

Rules:

Everyone must produce 1 completed piece of work.

Digital, traditional art, fanmixes, fanvids (videos), gifs, collages, and photo edits are allowed.

If you're a writer please do not announce what your project/idea is until after matches have been sent out. This is to encourage your fellow creators to pick based on the ideas they like best instead of whose ideas they are.

You may sign up as a writer and an artist. However, you can not be the artist for your own story. (This is supposed to be a collaboration after all.)

Explicit content is allowed.

Fanworks minimum requirements:

Stories must be at least 10k long. (Feel free to go beyond this is you want.)

Digital & tradtional art minimums is 1 completed piece.

Fanmixes should include at least 10 songs

Fanvids should be at least 1 minute long

Gifs should include 2 at minimum.

If you make collages you should make 2.

For photo edits make at least 2.

Just to reiterate all works for the big bang must be completed by posting time.

Not being allowed to reveal much about Season 2, Anson was asked safer questions: he talked about loving Star Trek since he was a child, what makes Star Trek different from other sci-fi shows, the various genres episodes in s1 and s2 are exploring (the cast mentioning “taking big swings” in s2 and pointing to episode 9 in particular), and what it was like sitting in the Captain’s chair for the first time.

oh I wasn’t aware it was feeding the ai. I’ve inserted hundreds of fics into chatgpt for their continuation or for a different plot within the same context just for fun and out of curiosity… but I’ve never posted any of them…

Indeed, anything that is given to AI it can use later to draw from. That's why it doesn't matter if you post them or not as it has now access to those writers' texts without their permission.
