Here's a Calendar for TLoZ I Made Up

I'm not sure if I'll actually start showing dates in my "The Realm Walker" fanfic, but for internally keeping track of things, I figured it would help to make a calendar... So here you go!

To keep things simple, there's 30 days in each month, and 12 months in the year, so 360 days in a year. Each month ends in "gari" or "lini" which comes from what Google Translate tells me are the pronunciations of Greek words for moon (Fengari and Selini), while each day ends in "mera" (which again comes from what Google Translate tells me is the pronunciation for the Greek word for day (Imera).)

So here are the months:

Nagari (Nayru’s Moon)

Daltlini (Daltus’ Moon)

Dingari (Din’s Moon)

Falini (Farore’s Moon)

Malagari (Malanya’s Moon)

Hylini (Hylia’s Moon)

Gustgari (Gustaf’s Moon)

Daphlini (Daphnes’ Moon)

Valgari (Valoo’s Moon)

Jalini (Lord Jabu-Jabu’s Moon)

Undegari (Eleventh Moon)

Duodeclini (Twelfth Moon)

Like the real world, it's a mix of rulers, deities, and numbers. Daltus being the king during The Minish Cap, Gustaf being an ancient king mentioned in The Minish Cap, and Daphnes being the king from Wind Waker. You can bet that the Rito and Zora had something to do with Valoo and Lord Jabu-Jabu getting months named in their honor. The last two months come from the Latin words for 11th and 12th.

Now for the days:

Zephmera (Zephos’ Day)

Dinmera (Din’s Day)

Naymera (Nayru’s Day)

Cycmera (Cyclos’ Day)

Farmera (Farore’s Day)

Dekumera (The Great Deku Tree’s Day)

Hylimera (Hylia’s Day)

So I'm starting the week with Monday, so Hylimera is Sunday. Zephos and Cyclos are from Wind Waker, the frog shaped wind gods that fly around on clouds. Since this is the Hyrulean Standard Calendar you can expect that some of the other peoples have different month/day names. In particular, I'm thinking the Gerudo day names would honor the Seven Heroines mentioned in BotW. Rito might switch out Dekumera for Valmera, likewise the Zora might switch out Dekumera for Jabumera...

And some seasonal information...

Spring: Dingari 1st – Malagari 30th | Spring Equinox: Dingari 19, 20, or 21st

Summer: Hylini 1st – Daphlini 30th | Summer Solstice: Hylini 20th

Autumn: Valgari 1st – Undegari 30th | Autumn Equinox: Valgari 20th

Winter: Duodeclini 1st – Daltlini 30th | Winter Solstice: Duodeclini 20 or 21st

Note that these dates are for the Northern Hemisphere. Considering the tropical state of Faron in BotW, it is either near or on the equator, which would make part of Hyrule be in the Southern Hemisphere.

Bonus: Since BotW released on March 3, 2017 (a Friday), the very first scene of "The Ballad of Kass" takes place Farmera, Dingari 3, 100 PC. (PC standing for Post-Calamity) Though I may do a nod to the Elder Scrolls series and use Eras instead (So, Dingari 3, 100 EotW (Era of the Wilds))...

So about Phasmophobia. Basically the plot is a sort of ‘experiment’ with BoTW’s world that gets out of hand. Two spirit guardians (Equinox and Charlie) are sent to make sure nothing happens to Link and Zelda so the timeline doesn’t get corrupted further. Like I mentioned previously, the prophecy was sent to a (Rito, oddly enough) fortune teller two years early, causing the whole thing to spiral out of control really quickly. Any thoughts or suggestions? I’m all ears!

BotW AU!

Just notes of what I can think of so far:

Destruction:

A Rito, mostly a burgundy shade

Would wander a lot, mostly found in stables around the east of Hyrule

Adept with a bow, because come on, what Rito isn't?

He would be helpful with directions, as long as it's based in the east. He hasn't gone to the West near the Lost Woods and such.

Kalon:

A yellow Zora

Curious about what is beyond Zora's Domain.

Hates Lightning, with good reason

Different to most Zoras, she likes Swords, rather than spears

She's a brave little thing

Not the tallest, but she's not the shortest either

Not part of Sidon's fanclub

Probably was part of the Mipha one though if there was one

Innocent beyond hugs

Zealous:

A black, with strands of white, haired Hylian, but he has a good resistance to heat.

He would venture up Death Mountain without giving a care

Of course he would buy the armour, after getting enough Ruppees.

Hates anywhere remotely cold, so he stays away from any other high places.

Doesn't like the stables too much, prefers to make his own camp.

Uses whatever he can get his hands on as a weapon, and only takes on what he knows he can

Though he's a good cook, and will make elixrs

And he's good with a spear, so he'll favour them over any other weapon.

Equinox:

Gerudo, is actually the only one related to Crystal for once.

She prides herself with how tall she is

Won't find her looking for any Voe

Though she'd take one if offered

Honestly it's a lot easier to find a Vai though

Fascinated with the Divine Beasts

Would use a Bow, for safety.

Every now and then, she leaves Gerudo Town and does a loop around Hyrule as a merchant before staying in Gerudo Town for another month or something

Probably lowkey had a crush on Urbosa

Crystal:

Gerudo? But, adopted.

She made her way to Gerudo Town when she was an adult

Before then she stayed with her Sheika Brother

She's a master at taming steeds

Has lightfeet, but she doesn't wear much armour

Would use quick weapons, anything too big is either used as a torch, or thrown away

Is the mom friend

Will go anywhere in Hyrule, just watch her

Hey! Listen!

Hey everyone! Sometime tomorrow, I’m going to be posting the very first chapter of a new Zelda: Breath of the Wild fanfic on Ao3!

It’ll be the very first fanfic I’ve ever posted on that site, and... well, let’s just say that this fic is very, very special to me. I’ve been working on it on and off for almost four years now, getting inspired, planning, outlining, writing, rewriting, and editing. And now, I think it’s finally ready to be shared, one small piece at a time. So yeah!

I can’t give too many details for fear of spoilers (kinda dumb, I know), but if you like heroes and villains teaming up to fight bigger threats, a plot with big stakes that’s reminiscent of an older era of fanfic, witty dialogue, and you don’t mind some violence, mild language, and a few original characters, then please look for chapter one of Breath of the Wild: Equinox by marshiestars on Ao3 sometime tomorrow!
