Western Islamophobes about the protests in Iran: See, Muslims are savages! Something like that (the killing of a woman due to her outfit) would have never happened here because we're civilized. Hijabs must be banned!
Fanatical Muslims about the protests in Iran: The woman wasn't killed because of the way she wore her hijab. She just collapsed all of a sudden. Women are not opressed here and the protests are planned to slander Iran! Also, you're not brave if you take your hijab off, you're brave if you wear it all the time and every woman must do so.

Hey hello!
Here are some colored doodles of the fun little DHMIS bodyswap idea thought up by the very fun, very smart @escargon! I did them way back when and wanted to finish them up to add to the fun lol.
It was sooo much fun to draw and I hope I made it clear whos who by the body language/dialogue but if not! I put a helpful little diagram in there. Also,as well, I think if Duck had access to a relatively-normal sized body like Reds’ that duckman is dressing up and NO ONE can stop him. So that’s the last two.

to be clear i am not trying to disparage everyone who attends wwwyf or anything like that. there are always some genuine fans who will go who care about the band and appreciate them and their growth in every era and dont wish for them how they were 15 years ago. if any of yall get to go i am genuinely happy and excited for you!!!
i just know that the overall atmosphere (of the crowd) is going to be one that is very counter to the type of fan experience i like to expose myself to, because there are a disproportionate amount of people who call themselves fans of a band but actively hate on the music and choices that reflect the healing and growth theyve undergone and only want them to be the way they were years and years ago.

Oda really spent 90% of his good writing for female characters on Belle-mère. She gets to be so much more complex than pretty much any other woman in the series, and we only had her for like two and a half chapters. I love how she got to be both a certified badass and also this softly crying woman all in the same chapter. Women contain multitudes.
But I have to give a BIG dishonorable mention here for adding this whole thing about giving birth. All Belle-mère said was “I wish I could become a mother just by saying it.” It's such a strange thing to add, especially because the whole point is that she IS unequivocally their mother even though she DIDN’T give birth.
Worst of all, it erases the power of this scene. She DID become their mother just by saying it. And it cost Belle-mère her life, and that was worth it to her.

during a dissection date, remus is the kinda guy to go "you want a bite?" while logan's holding one of his organs
after some convincing (logan agrees on the grounds that he's not real) logan bites into the small intestine
he's immediately stunned when he starts chewing, looking at the chunk he bit out
it's... it's just gummy candy
the pair then eat the intestine together lady and the tramp style

Sophie Kumpen had a incredibly successful karting career and she could've accomplished far more but she chose to raise her family instead. Her talent, her accomplishments are hers in her own right. She even competed with future F1 driver and world champion Jenson Button and won, something Jenson himself is always quick to remind people. She far more than just Max's mother and deserves far more respect than what she's been afforded today.

I'm... kind of confused about this? Like Ignatz is basically saying the only way for people to move forward is by continuing to fight and destroy? That's a pretty awful message in general, but coming from Ignatz it just feels weird. It sounds like he's just accepted war and that it's just... something that happens so we should shrug it off and move on?
I know this game tends to have very strong pro-war/pro-invasion messages which is already really gross to me, but it went from being annoying and icky to just making me feel disgusted. Also, Ignatz of all people shouldn't just shrug his shoulders and be like well that's just the way of things, I guess! There's an active war going on so it makes sense that towns could be rebuilt and destroyed again. It doesn't mean just give up on it.
Also really doesn't feel like an Ignatz thing to say.

Tfw a scene hits you with such force and clarity, it's absolutely like a religious vision
When Astarion gets up in the middle of the night to handle the twins so they will be quiet and let Mercy sleep, Mercy sneaks off to the undercity ruins. Theyre gone for hours hunting any Bhaalists who are trying to maintain the ruins, slaughtering the Bhaalists, and then going to the altar to yell directly at Bhaal, only to be met with silence. Mercy screaming that he couldn't take anything else from them. They'd make damn sure of it. Just never saying "You took everything you wanted from me, but you cannot have the twins." And it's a threat. One that isn't answered.
Then returning to a fretting Astarion (bc they're both still unlearning their codependency)

Serot's own arsenal of spells and generally how he applies necrotic magic differs from modern day Anactaci. You can clearly see the foundation he laid, but it has been over a thousand years. The order has evolved considerably in that time. There's also the fact that he was reborn at level one and has structured his skills to suit his present needs, but [hand waves]
There are different sects and roles within the Anactaci who call on the Plane of Death in different ways, but certain generalities can be relied upon. Their magic is largely geared toward what would be considered divination. They are the bridge between this life and the next, the messengers of eternity. They commune both with the souls of the dead and with spirits — chiefly spirits / entities on the Plane of Death but spirits of all types, including those like Refhremmit. Indeed, every City of Eternity has one Anactaci dedicated to communing with their patron. It is a sacred office.
Beyond that, their magic is deeply focused on the soul and the threshold between life and death. They are adept at identifying and countering curses or maladies of the soul. They are adept at identifying and addressing possessions or spiritual attachments. The skilled can manipulate the ravages of time on a body or object (a skill shared with the Manthu). The most skilled of all can leave their bodies behind to inhabit ritually prepared objects; these become the teachers of the Anactaci and keepers of the deepest mysteries.
Yes of course, they animate and preserve corpses, either directly or by calling a spirit to inhabit it. This is part of Meketi funerary rites. But, simply making dead things move is only part of their skillset. Indeed, it's the most basic part.
Anactaci are bound by sacred oaths to turn their magic to holy purpose and with a thought for balance always. However, a truly irate or unscrupulous Anactaci could do serious damage. Particularly if they are skilled. Insidious curses and nigh-undetectable possessions (i.e. slowly driving a person to madness with ill luck or nightmares; far worse curses are possible). Yanking a person's soul directly from their body, either holding it captive or causing it to become lost. Learning secrets from spirits or from souls that can utterly destroy a person. Causing them to rapidly age, turning to sun-bleached bone before their eyes, one limb at a time. Or causing them to wither, then return to their correct age, then wither, then return to their correct age — over and over until they don't know whether they're alive or dead. If capable of severing their soul from their body, they can possess others directly, influencing or totally overriding their will. They might not touch a person at all; they might sap all life from their home instead.
Fortunately, such corrupt Anactaci are rare — and swiftly dealt with.

i love how sir thomas sharpe (baronet ™) gets infantilised by people who have the hots for tom hiddleston. like. “oh he never killed any of them <3″ “he has his eyes closed so he’s clearly uncomfortable <3″ “he tries to help edith escape in the end”
babes this man fed his wives poisoned tea, had a child with his actual sister by wife #3, slept with two (2) women in his life even though he was married four times, got his sister out of the asylum she was put in for murdering their mother and quite possibly their father, only grew a conscience once he actually fell in love with one of the women he was exploiting and killing (because fuck uglies, immigrants and the disabled, it’s not that bad if we kill them right? we don’t care about women we don’t want to sleep with), and THEN he didn’t even try to get edith out, you do realise that, right? the extent of his protests was “no i want to keep this one actually” there was never a point where he even considered leaving lucille behind.
he’s just as bad as lucille, just as codependent AND he doesn’t have a spine. and personally i love him for it, truly one of the most characters ever.
