The switch to the pizzaplex was jarring to say the least, the building was at minimum 10 times the size of the original pizzeria and had the guest capacity to match. Not that the band had much choice, either move to the pizzaplex and be refurbished or rot at the old diner until it’s demolished.

Obviously chica was nervous, she’s entertained children her whole life but never this many at once, and of course the subject of there literally being another chica can’t be avoided. The meeting between the two avians went better than expect, less weird than chica thought it would be. The glamrocks are so vastly different to the originals that it didn’t even feel like meeting herself which was comforting in a way.

Chica jolts as her internal phone goes off, she doesn’t think she’ll ever get used to that, these upgrades are still so fresh. She answers putting on her best confident voice….the daycare? It’s not super abnormal for her to get a call from the daycare but it’s later in the day and they should be closed already, the pizzaplex is only open to adults in the later half of it’s hours.

After listening to sun ramble on happily about the person who needs picking up chica scrunches her beak in excitement. An age regressor has found their way into the daycare after being separated from their caregiver in the crowd. It’s understandable since the influx of people can act like a tidal wave and be quite daunting especially if you’re feeling little and vulnerable.

Security is working on finding their cg as soon as possible but they thought it would be best for chica to watch over you now the daycare is closed and moons busy on patrol. Chica has experience with age regressors back at the old restaurant and at the pizza plex, they can be a little awkward and unsure of themselves at first but once chica starts talking their ear off they relax in no time. She loves to make sure they’re confident in expressing themselves and reliving their childhoods in a safe place free of judgement.

He feathers are physically and metaphorically ruffled as she sees you, all red faced and teary eyed being led out to her by sun. She can’t help but feel bad for the distressed little chickadee and introduces herself softly. She assures you that security is looking for your caregiver and you’ll be back together in no time but until then chica will be making sure your ok. Once you’ve both introduced yourselves she asks permission to carry you, receiving a weak nod she scoops you up into her arms, swaddling the blanket given by sun around you like a little burrito.

You arrive at the bakery, chica taking a seat on one of the plush booth benches. In your distress you’re still sniffling occasionally and not being very responsive. Chica does what she knows best and gently rocks you, cooing words of affirmation to you and humming until you stop crying.

Once you’ve settled enough to talk she decides it’s probably good to do something to keep you in little space and distracted from your situation at the same time. The bakery is her domain and is perfect for little ones like you! She helps you ice cookies and cakes, squawking when you boop a dollop of icing on her beak. No baking actual goods though because you’re far too little for that and she worries you’ll hurt yourself on the oven. She lets you fill out some of the children’s colouring pages themed around the bakery, praising you for your colour choices and staying in the lines.

Before she knows it she receives another buzz telling her your cg is now at the security office and it’s time for you to go home. Chica excitedly explains that your caregiver is ready to take you back and you squeal in delight. Your hands look tiny holding onto her much larger metal ones as you walk over to the security office. Once you catch sight of your caregiver you run into their arms, snuggling into their chest. The caregiver in question thanks chica for her time and for looking after their baby, relieved they were safe and sound this whole time. You now hide behind your cg nervously, wanting to act but feeling shy, they prompt you and you return to chica. Her artificial heart practically does flips as you hand her the bakery colouring sheet you filled in earlier, complete with extra doodles of you and chica around the sides. Chica thanks you and gives you once last feathery hug before exchanging goodbyes. She returns to her green room and pins it on her wall, toothy grin on full display.

The blonde shakes his head amused, arm wrapping around the other's shoulders and keeping him close, safe. "Next time, I'm picking the movie." Sanie whines, complaining. Apparently, Chan likes boring movies.

Both of my S/Is are pretty underdeveloped, so this was a bit of a coin toss, but I have been meaning to introduce my TAZ: Amnesty S/I!

My Amnesty self insert is named Percy. They are the adopted child of Duck Newton. I haven't fleshed out the timeline much, but, you know. [Insert "you are my dad" Vine.]

Sounds: Rustling leaves, chirping birds, crackling campfire. Like their dad, Percy spends a lot of time in the forest, surrounded by nature. I think they'd also be into retro video games, so I'd add the beep-boops of 80's video games as a bonus.

Childhood: Percy's best childhood memories are meeting Duck and becoming part of a family! Since I haven't settled on a timeline, I'm not sure if Percy's childhood was pre-canon or post-canon. Either way, small town life means close connections with the whole community.

Arcs: I have an arc in mind where if Percy's adoption was pre-canon, Minerva joining the family is an important arc. Minerva is still learning how to be a person on Earth when Duck starts dating her, so she and Percy clash a bit. It's never nasty or violent between them - the clashing is a meaningful character moment for both of them as they learn to put aside their differences.

For my less developed S/I, I chose Gwen, who is dating Eda the Owl Lady from The Owl House!

Incredibly good at/bad at: Gwen graduated from Hexide long before mixed magic studies were allowed, so while she is quite good at illusion magic, her knowledge of other types of magic is very rudimentary. She doesn't know how to play any instruments, but seeing Luz and Eda embrace wild magic inspires her to try in hopes of learning bard magic. She's also good at painting!
