We bind all harassing and troubling works of the enemy in Jesus’ Name and say that all frustration, bad news, disappointment, letdown, discouragement, aggravation, and disturbances have no place in your day. We prophesy that you will not have to hassle with annoying moments that steal from the joy of the day and meddle with your plans and schedule. Angelic forces are being released so that you are protected and nothing shall harm or injure you. We take authority over evil spirits that would cause family troubles and strife, breakdowns and setback, and we say this will be a day filled with peace, fun, and joy! All shall be well this day, this week, month, and year! We speak it in Jesus’ Name! Amen!

We say that all demonic activity must be halted. Every witchcraft curse, spell, and hex is broken by the power of God in the Name of Jesus. We draw a bloodline of the blood of Jesus around you and all that concerns you, and we say the work of evil cannot cross that line. We prophesy that where the enemy has come through as a flood the Lord puts him to flight. We say that you rise up and resist all of the devil’s activity, causing him to flee. I found a Chinese BL Warring States Game of Thrones, three years older than The Untamed

And I just had to write a review about it! It’s 60 episodes long so I haven’t finished it yet at the time I’m writing this - but I decided to just go ahead and recommend it anyway.

Why, you ask?

For one, it’s Romance of the Three Kingdoms with all the Hollywood action and adult HBO things. It’s got explosions:

Horses falling down:

People getting flogged:

Sweaty soldiers getting mauled to death:

Children used as hostages:

Dead bodies presented in court:

Stylish dye jobs:

Loving father figures:

A Jon Snow lookalike:

And very gay innuendo:

That’s right, unlike The Untamed, which was first written as a straight series featuring Wen Qing as the main female lead and then rewritten again after fans of the novel decided to boycott it, this series was written to be gay from the very beginning. It got taken down by the Chinese Censorship Board after twelve episodes and river-crabbed to death, but a good number of scenes survived censorship. Those that did not made it to BiliBili in the form of “hidden” videos and disguised as “music videos”.

That’s not all. For a warring period Wuxia series, it’s got very beautiful actors, backdrops and clothing. It’s dressed like a fairy tale, with different kingdoms sporting different colours and styles in fashion and tastes.

In terms of art direction, it’s pretty low-budget for a series but the team makes good use of existing props, locations and brighter-coloured fabric to make up for the quality. The costume design is more fantasy-based than period, and the vivid takes and angles in the first season add to its charm.

There’s also its complex story line, which brings us to...

Men with Swords is not a title for the faint-hearted. There is an acute absence of black-and-white morality depicted in it.

If you think a BL series with such beautiful backdrops and fairytale-like clothes is for the simple-minded, one-track-good-vs-evil sort, think again. The series is a tale about Murong Li, a vengeful prince disguised as a musician and his rise to power, leaving behind a trail of death and destruction in its wake.

Where The Untamed fails at delivering gray morality unlike the novel it’s adapted from, choosing to alter its script to fit a more general audience (a commercially-wise decision which got it into Netflix), Men with Swords succeeds in faithfully telling a tale where there is no good or evil, only humanity, jealousy, grudges, rebellion, loyalty, life, death, greed and love.

Everyone has both good and bad sides, just different camps and motives. Men with Swords tells the story from not just one person’s perspective, but from the perspective of many different people, all of whom become entangled in a battle for their figurative Iron Throne - to become the king of the world.

There are no “what ifs” in this story, only decisions, reactions and repercussions

A prevailing theme in this series is that there are no “what ifs” and no turning back in life, only things that have happened and will happen. Murong Li starts his journey as a prince who has lost everything and a victim of war, wandering around for three years while being put down and getting sexually harassed, eventually losing it, taking his chances and hardening his heart as he walks down his conniving, badass path of destruction towards the top.

Men with Swords is not a series for the faint-hearted. It’s a game of chess where the main character, Murong Li, is cunning and decisive, cold and ruthless and many recurring characters die horrible, sudden deaths, friend and foe alike, a la Attack on Titan.

The series is filled with political strife and warfare, peppered with some sweet, comedic and romantic undertones. There is a stark contrast between fluffy and dark in its narrative, which is pretty refreshing overall.

With that all aside, I know what you’re probably scrolling down for:

The main characters and their boyfriends

This is it. This is what you’re here for. Most “BL” series are actually bromances, but the real upside for a BL fan is that this show is not a bromance - it’s a BL title, and even with censorship, the love stories prevail.

I’m going to put this under a cut because it’s LONG AF, but what that means is that there is a LOT of BL content available, and not the type that you have to hunt for. They’re very open about it.

While the show itself has a lot of ships, there’s a larger focus on three main ones, namely the beautiful Murong Li and two powerful kings, the fairy-like Ling Guang and his servants, and King Jian Bin with his general.

Murong Li: Da Ji 2.0 and his rich and powerful kings

If you’re a Jin Guangyao fan, you’ll probably enjoy Murong Li and his elegant, charming viles and ruthless scheming. He’s a surprisingly good fighter too, and unlike most elegant and waif-like beauties in dramas and novels alike, he’s a beauty with brains who uses his physical weakness as his strength, bending and seducing his way up to power.

Murong Li only really goes after rich and powerful people, worming his way into the kingdom and taking them down from the inside. Two main love interests are King Zhi Ming, the childish but rich king of Tianquan:

And Yu Xiao, a powerful barbarian king with a soft heart:

Murong Li, while wandering around as a musician, picks up many tricks along the way to hone himself. He’s adept at dressing up, making himself look helpless and alluring to bewitch powerful men, for one:

See that small smile right there? Yes, our boy knows what he’s doing.

Aside from that, Murong Li’s also pretty good at manipulating people by using their jealousies and insecurities, getting them to fight with each other over him.

Murong Li, although modeled after the cruel and beautiful Murong Chong, the Emperor of Wei, is likened to Da Ji, the favorite consort of the King Zhou of Shang. Da Ji was said to be a malevolent fox spirit who started the art of foot-binding to hide her fox feet. Everyone else looking in can see it, but the King was blinded, just like Murong Li’s powerful love interests. In fact, the series draws a direct parallel to it:

The Guo Shi here uses the term “yao”, which alludes to a malevolent spirit.

It’s not that Murong Li doesn’t have a weakness, though. Just like every Jin Guangyao has a Lan Xichen around to cause him to slip now and then, Murong Li surprisingly is weak towards the most naive and childish character in the series, the truant King Zhi Ming, whose only qualities are having purple bangs and being rich and playful.

No matter how calculative and ruthless Murong Li is in the series, he does end up almost slipping up and giving everything away when it comes to this bumbling fellow:

He’s saved only at the nick of time by one of his followers. Murong Li tells a lot of lies, but the one thing he can’t lie about are his feelings towards King Zhi Ming, who is ultimately the one thing he can’t give up next to his kingdom.

There’s a lot more one can write about a complex character such as Murong Li, but the second ship is just as good. It features:

Ling Guang: The Ex-Arrogant Depressed Hamster hung up over a dead ex

Ling Guang, the mortal enemy and foil to Murong Li, is a baby-faced, very-much-older-than-he-looks character whose sole purpose in this series is to wear frilly magenta clothing, destroy the kingdom of Yaoguang, set Murong Li down a path of vengeful destruction and piss off eligible, probably younger bachelors by comparing them to his very handsome, very loyal and very dead boyfriend, his personal guard, Qiu Zhen, who died sometime over thirteen years ago.

The bachelors’ pissed off takes to this are particularly priceless:

That HMPH face is to die for.

Ling Guang’s delusions are met head-on by these eligible bachelors, his ministers and his allies alike:

Only to be met by a, “haha, NO.”

Frustrating, right? It only gets worse as the series progresses. Due to Wuxia’s fantastical existence of sword souls, he begins to actively test his subjects out to see if they’re his dead boyfriend, whose sword soul is still alive:

Gu Shi’an: WTF.

So why do these eligible, handsome bachelors, particularly this guy from season two, jump at his lap every chance they get?

First off, he’s very, very pretty. He’s arguably the prettiest and fanciest king in the series, with a cute rounded face, favoring fluffy organza, frills and feathers in his garb, and sporting fabulous curls like that of a swan princess on a good day.

Secondly, and more importantly, it’s likely because he’s the type loyal dogs adore.

He’s stupidly and openly attached to his bodyguards and servants, unable to hide his feelings or control them. Ling Guang’s relationships are technically the opposite of Murong Li’s. While Murong Li hides his feelings and goes after men of power and tends to use them before leaving them, Ling Guang’s willing to sacrifice everything, including his kingdom, his health and his own life for men who are merely servants.

He's a king who doesn’t know proper protocol. He’s the type who’ll demand to eat with you at the same table:

Creeps outside the palace to see you off:

Hugs your sword around like a pillow while he waddles around listlessly and sleeps with it by his side after you’re long dead (grand total: 13 years):

Coddles you when you’re sick:

Takes arrows for you:

Isn’t afraid to cry and tell you how it is:

Faints violently and won’t rest until he can get your stolen body back:

The results?

If he’s not what loyal bodyguards like, I don’t know what he is. If Murong Li’s love interests have to pit themselves against each other to show how useful they are for his sake, Ling Guang’s love interests need to wrestle with a dead man he can’t let go of... which is hopeless, because you can’t kill a guy who’s already dead.

As a foil to Murong Li, what’s also interesting to note is that it’s alluded to and foreshadowed that he’s exactly the sort the loyal Yu Xiao, the current barbarian king, would have loved to have as a lover - honest, loyal and doting - unlike Murong Li himself. Gongsun Qian, a deputy minister with great foresight, had wanted Ling Guang to go to see the new barbarian kingdom, but he had refused to go outside the palace, shutting himself inside like an otaku. This decision ultimately gave Murong Li a step forward with his plans, at the great cost of four kingdoms, including his own.

Jian Bin: My boyfriend can (REALLY) fight

Next up is Jian Bin and his general. Jian Bin’s the king of Tian Ji, a new kingdom founded by astrologers. The catch here is that Jian Bin and his boyfriend, Qi Zhi Kan, are both men of science, and this tank of a boyfriend is a genius on the battlefield who doesn’t give a single shit about star signs, astrology and superstitions.

A story between a serious, loving king and his handsome general who was once a simple sword-maker in the woods, King Jian Bin meets his handsome ex-lumberjack boyfriend when he’s attacked, falls down from his horse and is rescued by the man himself.

Jian Bin then brings the guy back to his palace and dresses him in armor:

This puts the king’s general on the war path of several ministers and the superstitious people in their kingdom. As lovers, the two go through various trials together in an attempt to run their kingdom their way.

Qi Zhi Kan may seem like a herbivore in front of the king, but he’s really not one at all. He’s terrifying to a degree when it comes to warfare, and very, very difficult to take down. Unlike the other ministers, Qi Zhi Kan knows that he can expand the kingdom quickly and solve problems by waging war.

Even his allies are scared of him:

Ultimately, it’s a ship meant for those who like watching the king teasing his loyal subject and caressing armor whenever he’s around AND not around. Jian Bin even admits to it on-scene:

This loving and devoted couple were originally blessed as the ones with the most piggyback scenes, tender bandaging-your-chest and armor fondling, but they got censored unfortunately.

THE SPELL TO DOMINATE YOUR ENEMY

You must have either a statue of the Nina Negra, if you have a statue of the Nina Negra, you must be able to remove her scythe from her hand.

You will need plastic gloves, 9 coins, an empty coffee can with a lid, a brown paper bag, black pen, cemetery dirt from a fresh grave, black mustard seed, some vinegar, a cigar, 3 red flowers, a can of beer, and 2 black 7 day Santisima Muerte candles.

Now you wear the rubber gloves when you go to cemetery and find a fresh grave and fill the empty coffee can almost to the top and place the lid on it, and leave the 9 coins where you took the cemetery dirt from and say:

Nina Negra, I thank thee for the use of your dirt and I leave payment of 9 coins for your treasure.

Now at midnight on a monday night, when it is tuesday morning wear rubber gloves and take the brown paper bag and cut 6 pieces of paper from it, and write the name of your enemy 4 times, put some cemetery dirt and some black mustard seed in the paper, fold it up away from you and place it deep into the coffee can filled with cemetery dirt and say:

Nina Negra, I offer the spirit and soul of (target name). Repeat 4 times and put the black mustard seed and vinegar in the coffee can and place lid on top of it, place on your altar next to the right side of the Nina Negra and then you remove her scythe and write the name of your enemy 4 times on 1 side of the paper and on the other side write the problem you have with this person and roll it so it will be around the scythe and place back in the hand of the Nina Negra.

Now take screwdriver and on both candles push 2 holes deep into the candle wax, then write your enemy name 4 times on 4 pieces of brown paper bag and roll it up and stick into the 2 holes you made in each candle and use the screwdriver to push the papers deep into the wax, then offer Nina Negra the 3 red flowers, the cigar and the can of beer and say this prayer from deep in your heart with all the faith you have in the Nina Negra

Confusion and How Demons Work Together to Destroy a Person

Confusion is defined as a situation of panic or a breakdown of order. This definition describes exactly what happened to me during the years I was attacked by witchcraft. When the attacks first started, I was confused because the effects of the attacks were so unlike me. This kind of confusion was a normal reaction to a new and strange set of circumstances. But the spirit of confusion is much more than being puzzled about something. It is like being surrounded by a thick cloud that affects everything about you and your life. It changes the way you process information by affecting your ability to think and reason as you used to. Because my thoughts were all mixed up, it made it very difficult for me to accomplish much of anything.

here are many spirits, and they all contributed greatly to my confusion. I want to make this as clear as possible. Witchcraft affected the way I experienced emotion. I was no longer able to feel joy in any way. I was nervous all the time, and I walked through life in a state of panic. I could feel the presence of evil all the time, and no matter what I did, nothing stilled me. Demons attacked me all day and all night. Some demons were more prevalent during the day and others at night. In the next few paragraphs, I will try to give you a picture of what happened to me so that you can identify the evil spirits that may be affecting your life.

I want to start with the spirit of obsession, which affected me mainly during the day. Obsession is defined as an idea or a thought that continually preoccupies or intrudes a person’s mind. The word intrude describes exactly what happened to me. It was like there was an intruder who somehow gained access to my mind, and I was no longer in control of my thoughts. The spirit of obsession is relentless. It floods the mind with a short phrase that is repeated continually throughout the day. The phrase will be particular to the person since the demon knows how to cause the person the most mental anguish. It is like a song getting stuck in your head, but the message is always negative. This demon will harass you until he wears you down and drains you of every bit of energy you have.

Now I want to focus on what happens during the night. Terror is defined as violence or the threat of violence used as a weapon of intimidation or coercion. You have to remember that there is a war being waged against you. And in war, the enemy uses violence and intimidation tactics to control its victims. Sleep deprivation is one of the devil’s most powerful weapons. He uses it to terrorize his victims, causing incredible fear and total exhaustion, which increases the confusion and leaves a person unable to live their life in any kind of healthy way. My anxiety increased at night because I knew that when I went to bed the demons would come, and they did. They were spirits of terror that used violence and intimidation to make every night unbearable for me. I was afraid to stay awake, and I was afraid to fall asleep. I heard strange sounds, saw evil shapes roam around the walls of my bedroom, and I even heard demonic voices whisper in my ear. I was lucky if I even got a few hours of sleep a night, and when I did drift off, I saw demonic images that woke me right back up. There were times that I slept long enough to have horrible nightmares that were extremely vivid and very real. I felt demons poke and push me, and there were other supernatural occurrences that just defied explanation. I was terrified and exhausted all the time. If it wasn’t for God, I don’t know if I would have survived.

“For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.”

I want to tie the spirit of confusion into all of this now. Confusion interferes with a person’s ability to live a healthy life and affects the psyche, or one’s entire being, body, soul, and spirit. After a while, you can’t think. Everything is a blur, and the spirit of confusion takes over. The more dominant the spirit of confusion becomes, the more damaged a person will be. As all of the other spirits worked together to tear me down, the spirit of confusion silently grew stronger, leaving me unable to function or problem-solve like I used to. I knew that the order of my life had been snatched right out from under me, but over time the confusion became so debilitating that I had no idea how to get my life back. And that process took years. What I am trying to show here is how the different spirits work together to destroy and oppress a person.

The spirit of obsession can work in conjunction with the spirits of depression, harassment, anxiety, doubt, discouragement, despair, and more. The spirit of terror can work in conjunction with the spirits of fear, control, destruction, violence, torment, and many more. So any spirit can interact with another at any time, and the effects on the person undoubtedly empower the spirit of confusion. The point is that demons feed off of each other, and if they can continue to do that, then they will gain more control over a person’s mind. And without the ability to think clearly and problem solve, it will be much harder to escape the influence these demons have over your life.

The following prayer by Father Chad Ripperger will limit the demons from collaborating. It is an easy step you can take toward freedom and finding yourself again. But the process is slow, and you will need support and encouragement. I urge anyone dealing with something like this to participate in the sacraments as often as possible. Daily Mass if you can, and weekly confession. Pray and fast in the best way you can, and sit before the Blessed sacrament so you can find peace. Call a priest, they are the most powerful people on the planet. They will be able to guide and help you through these difficult times, and if they are unable to, they will know a priest who can. Go beyond your fears and the lies the demons are telling you and make the call. You won’t regret it.

Prayer of Command

In His name and by the power of His Cross and Blood, I ask Jesus to bind any evil spirits, forces, and powers of the earth, air, fire, or water, of the netherworld and the satanic forces of nature. By the power of the Holy Spirit and by His authority, I ask Jesus Christ to break any curses, hexes, or spells, and send them back to where they came from if it be His Holy Will. I beseech Thee Lord Jesus to protect us (my family, etc.) by pouring Thy Precious Blood on us and I ask Thee to command that any departing spirits leave quietly, without disturbance, and go straight to Thy Cross to dispose of as Thou sees fit. I ask Thee to bind any demonic interaction, interplay, or communication. I place N. (person, place, or thing) under the protection of the Blood of Jesus Christ which He shed for us. Amen.

Ciel’s banishing a harasser spell

Tired of being stalked and treated like shit? Want to forget about it all?

Say hello to my banishing spell. I’ve been dealing with some troublesome stalkers and so have my friends, so I whipped this up in a fit of inspiration!

Needed: a small poppet, a taglock, a box, tape for sealing, a dark place to “forget” the poppet in. This is very important, as it seals the “person” off from you and others.

Incense:

Patchouli for psychic power

Herbs for stuffing the poppet:

Rosemary for exorcism, purification. Rosemary is thought to cleanse a person of negative thoughts and emotions

Sage: Banishing from your thoughts and life.

Spices for placing inside the box:

Cinnamon: protection (from the abuser, to banish)

Black pepper: Frees others of jealousy, banishes hatred and negativity from your life

Salt: Repelling evil spirits from yourself.

To do: Sew a poppet, leaving the side open for stuffing during the Casting. The poppet can be white (a neutral color for energy binding) but in a pinch any color will do. Set up the incense and light it, making sure it’s on a fireproof surface. Start stuffing your poppet with the herbs,placing the taglock inside last. Place the spices (scattered all over the bottom) inside tbe box, then put the poppet inside your box (you can even write the spell on the inside of the box as a way to have the spell intensified; either on paper or on the box itself. Keep in mind that you will never use this box again. So please use a disposable one, not something important or something you genuinely use for storage) and chant this spell while taping the box shut (make sure you tape every single crevice of the box shut; we want no negativity escaping this box):

I bind thee thoughts, I bind thee voice, Without yer own choice, For ye have taken my safety from me, And now I and others will not let thee flee, This spell i bind yer heart and mind, For ye have harmed me and my own kind, Let this witch’s spell be heard, And taken within the earth, The sun, The moon, And all the stars, To reach thee, Since thy have caused so much misery, With this poppet full of my anger, I hope you reconsider, The words that falls from thy lips, While thee are trapped with none to help. So as it is heard, as I wish, let it be.

Place in a dark space you do not go into very often, like a garage or an attic; leave for a minimum of a year, to be truly “forgotten” and never give attention to them again. When the year is up dispose of how you please.

Bonuses:

do this before you take a shower. You purify your body in the shower after preforming this, thus banishing any thoughts or feelings. Burn incense (preferably purifying or just plain comforting) to help the process of healing, along with music or sounds that soothe you.

Choose a god/goddess to invoke during this; I personally used Artemis as I see her as the protector of victims and the abused. She does not take kindly to those who harm others for their own gain or take responsibility for their own actions.

Make sure you purify the space you do this in. there WILL be negative energy and you want to cleanse that as soon as you can. Use purifying incense or a spray (like rosewater or lavender water) of your choice.

Do something happy or calming after this as well.

Unseen Warfare

DAILY SPIRITUAL WARFARE PRAYERS

Use these brief prayers when an evil spirit is harassing you, tempting you gravely, causing bad thoughts in your mind, attacking you in your sleep, making you feel fear by letting itself be felt, giving you pain or sickness … These warfare prayers can also be used for places when you sense their evil presence.

ESSENTIALS …

1 As far as possible, be in the state of grace by frequenting Confession and reception of the Holy Eucharist.

2 Have a devotion to our Blessed Mother. Meditate on the Rosary daily. Make novenas to Her. Learn more about Her and practice Her virtues, Speak to Her from your heart.

3 Seek the intercession of the Saints especially St.Joseph.

4 Speak frequently to your guardian angel and always ask him to guard and guide you. He will speak usually through inspiring thoughts and impressions in your heart. Do also pray to St. Michael, St. Gabriel and St. Raphael.

5 Wear blessed Sacramentals with faith: Scapular, Miraculous Medal, St. Benedict's medal …

6 Use holy water frequently on yourself, family members and on your property.

PRAYERS…

Before praying the prayers, place yourself in God's presence and sense his nearness. Pray the following prayers from your heart.

Step 1: Prayer For Protection

Jesus Crucified, cover me, my family, my relatives, and friends, and all our possessions, work, properties with your Precious Blood. (Recite three times.)

Step 2: Prayer For Armor

I put on God's armor to resist the devil's tactics. I stand my ground with truth buckled around my waist and integrity for a breastplate. I carry the shield of faith to put out the burning arrows of the evil one. I accept salvation of God to be my helmet and receive the Word of God from the Spirit to use as a sword.

Step 3: Prayer For Deliverance:

(Pray this prayer with a commanding voice. If you have holy water, sprinkle while praying this prayer).

In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, through His tremendous power as God and through His most powerful and salvific name. I rebuke, repudiate, bind, and cast out all spirits not of the Holy Spirit. I command you in the name of Jesus, to depart now from (state name of person or place) and go immediately and directly to the foot of the Cross and never to return.)

Step 4: Prayer To The Holy Spirit

(Then pray this prayer to the Holy Spirit, asking for assistance and His infilling)

O Most Holy Spirit, enter into the empty spaces left by these spirits and fill (state name of person or place) with your presence, love, and protection. Please do not allow these spirits to return.

Step 5: Prayer To The Angels

Say a prayer to the angels to stand guard and remain around you, your family members, home and place of work to seal them from future demonic oppression.

Step 6: Prayer For Cleansing

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we pray that the cleansing power of the Precious Blood of your Son come upon us right now. Purify us and wash us clean with the Blood of Jesus from the top of our head down to the very soles of our feet,

Let this Blood penetrate the very marrow of our bones to cleanse us from the entanglement from whatever spirit we have come in contact with during the course of our intercession. Anoint us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit and refresh our body, soul, and spirit.

And may the sign of your Holy Cross drive away all evil spirits from us. (Make the sign of the Cross)

Step 7: Prayer Of Praise And Thanksgiving

(Make a personal prayer of praise and thanksgiving to God.)

SUPPLEMENT …

1 If right afterwards there seems to be some form of retaliation from the evil spirits like sickness, pains, and depression, use the Prayer of Deliverance, but instead of saying "all spirits not of the Holy Spirit," say "spirit of retaliation and all accompanying spirits," then finish with the cleansing prayer.

2 Before going to bed, make the sign of the cross on your forehead using holy water. Bless your family members also.

3 Use Holy Water frequently in your room and, if possible, sprinkle exorcised salt

(rock salt blessed by a priest) around your room and home.

Binding

A binding spell is a spell that symbolically ties the target up restricting his, her or its actions or keeping him or her (or it) tied to another individual, object, place or situation.

Types of Binding Spells

A binding spell can be positive or negative.1.

A positive binding spell joins two things together. For example, if you were particularly fond of a ring, you might bind it to you so that it wouldn’t get lost or would always return to you. You could bind a pet to you, to be a familiar or just a lifelong companion. Or you could bind a spirit to an object (like a genie in a lamp). You could bind yourself to a place so that you will always return there or you could bind yourself to your job so that you do not lose it. Two people can be bound together as well. One form of this is known as handfasting.

A negative binding spell is one that takes something away, usually someone’s ability to do something. Someone may cast a binding spell on someone who is hurting or harassing them to make them stop. You may cast a binding spell on yourself to help you break a bad habit, to stop calling that guy who is just using you, to stop going to the bar, to stop biting your nails.

It is important to note that not all bound situations are the result of spellwork. A person can bind themselves with their own fears, loves, obsessions. Individuals who spend a great deal of time together can become bound without any outside manipulation. You can be bound by guilt, by obligation, by fear, by love, by a promise. There are many ways binding can happen, naturally, accidentally or on purpose; the result is the same.

The Ethics of Binding Spells

Binding spells have ethical implications. They always involve restricting or controlling someone’s actions but in some cases, everyone involved has consented and in other cases, an individual may be deemed dangerous enough that restricting his or her actions is a necessary evil. Some traditions forbid binding spells altogether while others embrace them wholeheartedly, but most make the assessment on a case by case basis.

Binding Spells

Binding spells usually involve symbolic action of binding, wrapping, tying or otherwise containing a representative object. In handfasting rituals, the hands of the two individuals to be bound are usually literally tied together with a cord or ribbon. The freezer spell involves placing a taglock or representative image of the target in the freezer to “freeze” their actions. Other spells involve nailing or pinning a representative image or taglock to a surface, sealing it inside a container or wrapping it around with cords. Spirits are usually bound to a container that is symbolically sealed with wax or wrapped around with a cord.

Some binding spells, those which bind two individuals together, involve the exchange of body fluids. A kiss, braiding together locks of hair, smearing blood on an object you wish to bind to you, etc.

Unbinding

Many witches create protective binding spells with an “off” switch to end the spell when the danger has passed, but some spells are meant to be permanent and these can be trickier. Unbinding often involves a physical reversal of the action of the binding spell, untying or cutting the cords, removing the symbolic object from the container it was placed in, etc. If the spell involved an exchange of body fluids, it may be more difficult to undo the binding. If an object was involved (rings, locks of hair braided together, etc.) this object can be destroyed to undo the binding. These should be followed up with a generalised cleansing.

If the spell object is not available or if the binding has come about from some method other than via a spell, a more involved cleansing or banishing spell may be necessary. An astral exercise involving the cutting of the energetic bonds can be effective for those who have the skill and ritual baths are also useful here. A combination of methods may be required over a period of time to achieve full relief from a bound condition.

True Reality ~ only REVIVES us. Spiritually we never grow old where our natural Companionship is really with Christ. What's genuinely Spiritual is exactly opposite of earthy-natural life. Darkness only exist in nature. Jesus Himself is The Life and The Life is The Light of men. John 1:4 ☀️ Oppression and Infirmity occur within breeches where The Light that once Ruled became slighted and neglected. Every evil mood, affliction and infirmity has a root spiritually. Warfare in this late time is often manifest PHYSICALLY because spiritual errors and strongholds were never perceived nor destroyed.- "For though we live in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the true knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ." 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 The original language of 2 Corinthians 10:5 is so Powerful - …🔑I take every project prisoner to make it obey Christ….” 🔑 It's not just taking every thought captive- but taking every issue & situation.- So much today has never been disciplined, but has simply come into being by impulse! In other words- EVERYTHING has conformed into PASSIVITIES!!!! While EVERYTHING BIBLICAL- is deliberate!!! In our Lord’s life every project was disciplined to the will of His Father. There was never the slightest tendency to follow the impulse of His own will as distinct from His Father’s will— “the Son can do nothing of Himself…” -John 5:19. Then compare this with what we do— we take “every thought” or project that comes to us by impulse and jump into action immediately, instead of imprisoning and disciplining ourselves to obey Christ. So very MUCH about spiritual warfare is simply recognizing what WE HAVE ALLOWED. This is especially true with regards to "binding and losing." It's the overgrowths of what we have ALLOWED and what we have considered INSIGNIFICANT, instead of obediences to God's Words that have become opposition. EVERYTHING that's spoken in claims to be of "Christ" which BLAMES OUTWARD reasons for one's spiritual conditions is a LIE. The entirety of The Bible Witnesses that the more that God's people were stripped, purged, and persecuted is the more that they thrived. SEE THIS- EVERY Passage of God's Words has personal SPIRITUAL Applications by His Spirit! GOD enters our lives through New Birth unto truly Converting our souls! ALL that comes from the world's spirit (even in His Name erroneously) tries to kill HIS New Life within us!! Worldly focuses are exactly what quenches the true Spirit's Transforming Power from Working within us! In Zechariah 13, God calls that world's spirit that misrepresents HIMSELF in the "church" as an "UNCLEAN SPIRIT!" ALL imitating spirits lead to the WORLD and to EXTERNALISM. When we truly spend time with JESUS Himself in His Words- "A Fount is opened" His Precious Blood Cleanses our woundedness and destroys arguments against His HOLINESS. As we Quest after seeking to preserve the New Life and Regeneration that GOD initially put within us at New Birth- the very things that overwhelm and harass and afflict- dissipate! HIS Life within us is nourished according to the dictates of His Spirit so that we are ever growing to the Measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, in ever increasing childlikeness and in holy Power. The maturing believer is just like a little child. The Influences of The true Spirit are recognized and obeyed with His Joy resulting. Demons flow- where abuses have flowed! The Kingdom is WITHIN. What is WITHIN your thinking of perceptions that thwarts HIS LIFE from LIVING in you?? Cast it out! Spend time with JESUS in HIS WORDS- Let HIM make all things NEW as you begin this New Year! So much that Jesus reveals to us in The Spirit and in dreams and visions IS REAL!!!!!!! It will later be like Phillip of Acts 8 being Transported by The Spirit in real time! Those things He reveals can be real situations and real places! At one time I saw a massive computer room beyond anything we could imagine. It was CIA It Jesuit owned. I saw God's most beloved sons and daughter's names recorded there. I saw names of curses and diseases popping up on the many computer screens. Warfare can be lethal IF and only IF - we ignore and neglect and become passive what The True Holy Spirit cautions about! Our subconsciousness is really our SPIRIT. Those fiery darts that proceed symptoms- have footholds in our innermost thoughts! Decree Freedom from Curses & Harassing Spirits

We declare this shall be a day filled with God’s grace, blessings, goodness, and mercy.

We bind all harassing and troubling works of the enemy in Jesus’ Name and say that all frustration, bad news, disappointment, letdown, discouragement, aggravation, and disturbances have no place in your day. We prophesy that you will not have to hassle with annoying moments that steal from the joy of the day and meddle with your plans and schedule. Angelic forces are being released so that you are protected and nothing shall harm or injure you. We take authority over evil spirits that would cause family troubles and strife, breakdowns and setback, and we say this will be a day filled with peace, fun, and joy! All shall be well this day, this week, this month, and this year! We speak it in Jesus’ Name! Amen!

Then the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Judah, and troubled them in building (Ezra 4:4).

Word of Encouragement

When the people of God set out to rebuild the temple in the book of Ezra, they encountered a continual onslaught of harassments. The Bible says those who were in disagreement with their efforts “troubled them in building.” In other words, they created little problems here and there to try and make them feel frustrated. In a similar way, we can experience little troubles often created by the enemy that can make us feel like we are always addressing some little problem. God wants you to enjoy days of peace and order, not putting out fires, constantly fixing something, and running around in panic and stress. Speak to any harassing spirits that might try and discourage you and make you feel like you are always stressed out. Declare that troubling spirits cannot interfere in your day!

Free From the Curse

We prophesy that the curse has no place or ability to function or raise its head against your life.

It cannot function in your home, on your property, or in your family in the Name of Jesus. We break the power of every generational curse, iniquity, or generational sin. We say that you and your bloodline are curse-free and that every curse is replaced with the generational blessing. Every element of family history that was birthed through sin and wickedness shall cease and desist and not continue to the future generations. We prophesy that going forward you shall live in the blessing and experience favor. Your mind is free from the effect of past curses and you shall no longer give time, attention, or concern to the previous curse. We decree you are curse-free!

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree (Galatians 3:13).

Word of Encouragement

What we often refer to as generational curses are the negative issues that exist in our family tree or bloodline. They typically enter because of the choices of our parents, grandparents, and in certain cases go back as far as our distant ancestors. Because these curses or issues have often been with us our whole lives and can seem monumental, we often just learn to accept them rather than work to change them. Remember that Jesus bore the curse when He hung on the tree! When you see negative patterns, sin habits, or sicknesses that seem to be repeatedly passed down through your family members, begin to address any curse that may be getting transferred to the next generation. WarioWare: The Series Season 1 Episodes

52 Episodes. Season 2 Coming 20XX

Wario’s Stand: 9-Volt is getting bullied at school and challenges them to a fight against Wario, with Wario on board. However, on the day of the fight, Wario is a no show and 9-Volt has to investigate his disappearance before his bully figures out first.

Fare and Balanced: Dribble and Spitz take in a customer carrying a suspicious package, only to find that the package is a rare volatile fruit that could mean an explosive end to their business. However, the ride becomes difficult when they continuously try to keep things smooth.

The Crygor Effect: Dr. Crygor is working on an impossible question and, after dozing off, wakes up to find that Penny was able to solve it easily. Trying to wrap his brain around this conundrum makes Crygor feel inadequate, which results in the scientist aging faster than he realizes.

Destroy All Boomans: Orbulon gets a special prize in his cereal box, but throws it away when he loses interest. But, the special prize turns out to be a force to be reckoned with and begins to attack Diamond City.

Peace and Love (NOT) in DC: Diamond City is under attack! Buildings are getting decimated, streets are leveling, everyone’s scared for their lives...except for Wario and the gang, who all left together for a bonding vacation. Honestly, the only shocking thing is that Wario’s less conniving than usual.

The Horror?: Ashley witnesses the most shocking thing ever and this somehow puts a smile on her face. Is it out of fear? Is it the joy of discovery? Who knows, but she looks creepier than before and it needs to stop.

Jimmy’s Play: A self proclaimed master of disco challenges Jimmy to a contest. And while Wario wants to bank off this, Jimmy is invested for different reasons.

Spar day: Kat & Ana vs Young Cricket. Is that an unfair match? Better question: Is the city safe from their match?

Day of the Races: 9-Volt and 18-Volt stay up all night to play the latest kart racer but forget that school is tomorrow... today. So in the spirit of getting to school on time, they must use their skills from the game to book it before the bell rings.

Punch Drunk: Wario’s latest scheme involves a drink that nobody likes drinking but continues to drink regardless. However, the secret ingredient gets leaked and the competition gets rough when everyone thinks they can make better.

What Do You See in Him?: A teen celebrity is swooning over Mona but is shocked to hear of her crush on Wario, so he challenges the big guy to see who can win Mona’s affections. Wario isn’t interested, but goes along with it, believing there’s a scamming benefit to be had.

The “Hero” Returns: After the events of WW: Gold, with nothing better to do in Luxeville, Lulu returns to Diamond City to try to protect it from the dangers that lurk. Playing hero proves to be hard when little actually goes on, so she tries to win a competition against a familiar mask wearing vigilante.

I Am The Red Man: Red grows tired of Ashley’s condescending nature and decides to sneak out of the manor. He finds a cult that seemingly worships him, but only because he appears as the spawn, and sacrifice, of a greater evil.

Ana-lytical: Kat is forced to go on a journey of self reflection, which leaves Ana by herself for the day. Feeling the weight of loneliness, she connects with the others to learn about the meaning of life.

Bump the Mike: Dr. Crygor’s trusty karaoke/cleaning robot Mike is sent out to get bread from the store. But the way there proves to be a journey of dramatic, possibly musical, proportions.

Boxers Be Brief: Young Cricket meets a young boxer that’s light on their feet and packs a mean punch, but is ridiculed and harassed because of their stature. Meanwhile Wario becomes a fight promoter and seeks to put Cricket in the ring for a fixed fight.

Volt Jockeys: 9-Volt and 18-Volt get to do the morning announcements for school and try to make the most of it. Though they become too popular too quickly, overshadowing actual school time, and the staff silently try to put an end to it.

The Smell of Greatness: Penny is doing a science fair experiment on the worst smell imaginable. Wario takes this as an challenge and agrees to help her help him become the smelliest being in the universe.

Let’s Be Fronk: When day turns to night, Fronks try to unleash their fright.

Cricket Hops: Cricket and Master Mantis realizes that in order to be better fighters, they have to be able to jump over the largest building in the world without breaking their legs.

Crack to the Future: Wario gets into a motorcycle accident and wakes up to find that he’s been comatose for years and his friends and the city has remarkably improved since his disappearance. With no way of going back, is this the chance for the big guy to change his ways or will he have the skill to revive the status quo?

Hey, A Quick Fix: Orbulon helps Dribble and Spitz spruce up their cab, leading them to become legendary defenders of the universe.

The Tale of Two Jimmys: Jimmy T. and Jimmy P. find themselves in a bind when they get locked in a mall. Meanwhile, Jimmy’s Folks invited Crygor over for dinner and the wait gets awkward.

Active Ashley: Ashley finds that in order for a particular spell to work, she has to do a good deed for the community. Ashley being... Ashley, she turns to Mona for help.

The Smart Safe: There’s a safe designated to open to those with the lowest IQ imaginable. Orbulon wants to open it, but is too smart to outfox the mechanics. So he sets out to find the dumbest being in the universe.

Edible Gold: 5-Volt has a recipe for yellow pepper wings that everyone is craving for, but the recipe calls for a rare kind of gold which puts the greedy treasure hunter Wario in an uneasy position and everyone else in a pressuring mood.

Mona’s Bet: Jimmy and Mona make a silly gamble where if she can hold a job that’s not just part time for half a year, he’ll shave off his whole fro. Mona doesn’t think it’s too much a juggle, until she’s forced to work at her school as well.

The Breath Mints of Unfathomable Energy: Kat & Ana find a box of mints and finds that each one contains a special power. The two find themselves at a loss between abusing this power for themselves or making sure no one gets them, so they share them with the gang.

The Guy Who Shoved Me: A casual citizen relives the day where he goes from hating to falling in love with... Wario? Wait, is that right?

Magic Mike: 13-Amp, rebounding from her defeat to 18-Volt, is trying to get a groove back and Mike is around to help as beatboxer.

Slim Jimmy: Jimmy T. suddenly loses interest in disco and tracks out to other genres, which puts Club Sugar on the edge of closing.

Welp, The World is Gonna End: Penny’s tiny lie to Dr. Crygor causes the jumpstart to the annihilation of the Earth, with Fronk being the only one to save it.

The “Hero” Rises: Lulu thinks that Wario seemingly rules over Diamond City like a tyrant, so does her best to rally the city against him. And while that isn’t and never has been the case, and with nobody really listening to her, WarioWare Inc. decides to be there for her and make her believe Wario’s tyranny can be brought down, especially when the big guy owes them money.

Tales of the Greedy, Pig Faced, Pot Bellied Biker Man: 9-Volt and his classmates make stories about how Wario became the anti hero that he is.

Cab Rats: Rats start a taxi service that puts a competitive edge in Spitz. The duo try to outdo the new company, but their efforts spiral to an evil entity that makes Wario looks tame.

The Adventures of Trash Nebula: A Road Runner style episode containing Orbulon getting chased throughout the galaxy by Spiff Gibbous, cocksure alien hunter.

The Most Evil: Ashley is told that Wario is the “Most Evil Being Alive” and keeps track of him to disprove this, only to find that there might be some truth to it. In seeing this, will Ashley come around to actually look up to him? Probably not.

The Jimmy T Power Hour: Jimmy T. has lost his groove and he’s... okay with that. But who stole his groove, why is calm about it, what might the stray cats of Club Sugar have to do with this story?

Mona Please-a: Working for Mona Pizza, she continuously has to deliver to a customer that always gives a dissatisfied review. The palace begins to falter, and the WarioWare gang, especially Wario, do their best to retaliate against the sudden swarm of negative feedback.

A Rap Happy Slam: 18-Volt is thrown into a rap tourney for money and bragging rights, and asks 18-Amp for help. Although reluctant, she sees the heart 18 puts in his lyrics and tries to put her ego behind her. Emphasis on try.

Super Wario Odyssey: In a quest to find the purest garlic clove for his dinner, Wario has to prove his strength and ability as the food gods try to stop him at every turn.

Ninja Notes: A con artist tries to trick Kat and Ana out of their money by giving them fake ninja teachings, but their zealous nature proves too much for him. Then it turns out his teachings are actually successful, which makes him question his own identity.

Invincicricket: Young Cricket finds that superheroes are the best role models for pure martial arts training, and steps up to be Diamond City’s greatest force of justice, with Master Mantis in tow. Meanwhile, Wario-Man returns and gets a sidekick of his own.

Crygules: Dr. Crygor accidentally becomes a muscular beefcake and finds this to be detrimental to his work. But when women and men find him attractive, he’s at a loss between science and modeling. Meanwhile, Penny learns about the wonders of muscles through exercising.

Knabmus: Christmas Time is here and Ashley is having none of it. There is no tragic backstory to this, she doesn’t find the holiday all that great to celebrate. Wario agrees to this lack of sentiment, which is why the two join forces to steal the Christmas spirit however possible, because they want to.

The Producers: Mona and Dribble accidentally become stage producers and have to get a full house by one month or else lose everything they have. Knowing nothing about musicals, with Mona and Dribble slowly having creative differences, what won’t go wrong?

Falling Down: The WarioWare Gang gets stuck in an elevator, luckily Wario doesn’t take up too much space, and try to escape before they’re at each others throats.

No More Zeroes: Kat & Ana have to study for a test and get an A in order to get advanced training. But on their way to the testing place, they stumble upon a war between rival biker clans.

Accidental Chaos: Ashley brings hell and destruction to Diamond City because she has an accident while trying to perform a spell before the DC masters of witchcraft. And somehow, 5-Volt is the one responsible and capable of fixing this mess.

The “Hero” Survives: Lulu is at loss at what to do with herself. Diamond City is all she asked for in an exciting lifestyle, yet she’s generally homeless with no money to her name. So in addition to the WarioWare gang helping her out, she seeks guidance from a group of hobos and even gets help from an unlikely source.

WarioWare, The Musical (Part 1): Agreeing that Wario is never gonna change, the gang cuts ties with him and seperate to better their own lives. Wario’s okay with it at first but finds that money isn’t all to his happiness anymore like usual. So, he turns to an old purple cladded friend to help revitalize his life. Also, the characters are gonna try singing in this episode.

WarioWare, The Musical (Part 2): It’s been some time without Wario’s presence, and the gang has all reached a great level of success. Then again, where is success without a wrench to keep things interesting? It’s not that Wario was a great person, but he did mean something to the gang, to their company, overall. What that “thing” is is debatable, let’s not crush the chance for a heart felt reunion. Singing is again involved and Lulu might actually save the day.

Charmed 1x01 “Pilot” Review

There had been rumors of a Charmed reboot for years. Before that, there were rumblings of it being a sequel to the original series. At long last, the rebooted series has arrived. The new series follows Mel and Maggie Vera (Melonie Diaz and Sarah Jeffrey), as well as their long-lost half-sister, Macy Vaughn (Madeleine Mantock), as they discover their new powers that were bestowed upon them after their mother Marisol’s gruesome murder. It follows the same kind of formula that the original series had, but that’s basically it.

As much as I had wanted to delve into every single article and promotional video leading up to the pilot episode, I had to hold myself back. Much like many fans, I was a huge fan of the original series and scoffed at the idea of a reboot so soon after the series finale. (It’s only been 12 years. That’s not a lot.) However, then I decided to be an adult about this fictitious work and it give it a shot. Hollywood hasn’t been pumping out very many original ideas lately, so we’ve got to work with what we’re given and make for the best and make the best of it, they did!

Going into this with a very open mind, I was delighted by what greeted me. There was a light-hearted air to the episode, despite it starting off with a murder and the sisters in mourning. It was a great set-up to help us get to know the new sisters and their whitelighter guide, Harry (Rupert Evans). Mel and Maggie were the two sisters who had grown up together in a small college town called Hilltowne. Mel, the oldest of the two, is a hot-headed grad student, as well as ardent feminist and sapphic queen. She has a beautiful, kind, and caring detective girlfriend, Nico Hamada (Ellen Tamaki). After Marisol’s murder, Nico breaks up with Mel, not because she doesn’t care, but because Mel is just so angry all the time. Mel knew something was up with her mother’s mysterious death, but no one had given her the time of day, including Maggie.

Maggie is an 18-year old undergraduate, starting her first year of college. We’re introduced to her trying to rush a sorority on campus. Maggie’s personality dictates someone that wants to fit in with those around her. The sorority is cliched, including the sorority president. That was basically one of only two parts of the episode I didn’t like. The sorority president, Lucy (Natalie Hall), comes across with this fake niceness that your typical “mean girls” always seem to sport. Lucy makes it clear to Maggie that she’s a shoe-in for joining the sorority, but wants Maggie to be more like the other pledges by falling a bit more in-line with their image.

Macy Vaughn is a scientist. She recently got a position at the same university that Mel and Maggie attend, working under a Professor Thaine. While taking a walk, she stumbles upon the Vera house a few short months after Marisol’s murder. She recognizes it from a picture she has of herself standing in front of it in Marisol’s arms. Macy was told by her father that her mother died when she was little. She discovers that part was a lie, but we see her reading about Marisol’s murder on her first day of work. She ends up visiting Mel and Maggie and telling them she’s their sister. She basically ends up rocking their world, as the house completely loses power.

The house may have lost electrical power, but these three young ladies gained their supernatural powers by all being under the same roof together for the first time. Turns out, that broke the binding spell their mother had placed on them. In the original series, the sisters had a binding spell placed on them so they could grow up as normal children, safe from dark forces. One can assume, based on this knowledge (unless you’re new to the world of Charmed), that it’s the same reasoning in the new series.

Soon after meeting, the three start to exhibit new abilities. Macy discovers hers at a bar. She ends up flinging a beer bottle at the wall...without touching it at all. She believes she’s drunk and clumsy and makes a flimsy excuse to leave her friend behind and go home. Mel finds her power when she’s catching up with Nico at a coffee shop. Nico’s a concerned ex-girlfriend at this point and while discussing Mel’s behavior after her mother’s death, Mel starts freezing time. Understandably, she’s freaked out and flees. Maggie finds her abilities during rush at the sorority house. She’s being introduced to other girls in the sorority and when she shakes their hand, she hears their thoughts about her. They’re typical judgemental sorority thoughts, but it’s enough to weird out Maggie and make a spectacle of herself in the meantime as she runs out of the house.

The three women soon find themselves waking up tied to chairs in the Vera’s attic. Harry (mentioned above) introduces himself as a whitelighter; their angelic, spiritual guide. He’s also the man who took Marisol’s vacant position in the Women’s Studies department at the college. Harry informs them that they are the Charmed Ones and it’s their destiny to take down the forces of evil and stop the apocalypse. Obviously, this is met with trepidation. Macy explains that it’s all just science and that magic isn’t real. Maggie is fearful of these new abilities and isn’t sure if she wants this. Mel seemed to be the only sister who was thrilled by the news! They now have the ability to find out who murdered their mother.

What actually gets them all on the same page eventually is when Maggie is attacked by her ex-boyfriend, who has been possessed by a demon. Was he the only evil being on campus? Absolutely not. Professor Thaine, who Marisol had been the sole reason for charges being brought against him because he’s a sexual predator, is evil in all the ways there can be. We’re first introduced to him earlier in the episode on Macy’s first day at work. He had the charges against him cleared, but protests were popping up on campus. By the end of the episode, Professor Thaine is made out to be the first big bad these new Charmed Ones have faced and defeated. They originally believed he was the one who killed their mother, but his dying words say otherwise.

The episode ends with with sisters gathered around a Ouija board, attempting to communicate with their mother on the other side. “She” informs them not to trust Harry. This can go one of two ways: 1) The spirit the sisters have come into contact with isn’t their mother and is potentially an evil spirit/demon attempting to turn the sisters against their Whitelighter. 2) Harry isn’t who he seems. I’m quite partial to number 1. It might just be that it’s my belief that Whitelighters are a force of good. If Harry is indeed a Whitelighter (he has the healing powers Whitelighters tend to have at least), I believe he must be good. If he isn’t, I’ll be the first to eat my words and express my disappointment.

As far as pilot episodes go, it wasn’t very groundbreaking. This show is still very much in the shadow of the original series. My hope is that it comes out from behind that shadow sooner rather than later. I want this show to stand out on its own and it very well could. It offers intersectional feminism, which the original series severely lacked. For the original series at the time, it was great feminism...for white women. Times change and representation needs to grow. If your feminism is lacking in intersectionality, then I know I certainly don’t want it. Fans of the new and old series, alike, should just give this series a shot. I am a very firm believer that you should never judge a show on its pilot. Let the season speak for itself. Let this show stand on its own.

The Power of Three is back and just as strong as ever!

Some thoughts:

It is WAY too early to tell who my favorite sister is going to be, but at the moment, it’s a tie between Macy and Mel.

The line about the power to freeze time being “very common with control freaks” had be laughing hysterically because, damn, if that wasn’t just true for Piper, and now Mel.

Pilot episodes are so cheesy, but this one was great for introducing the new sisters.

These sisters are also related to Melinda Warren! (Just like the original sisters!) It’s a show about magic, so naturally there could be a number of tie-ins to the original series.

What the fuck is with the orbing? Is it even called “orbing” in this series? Whitelighters are supposed to “orb” in and out. This is the only thing that could possibly make me think Harry isn’t a Whitelighter...unless this is the new orbing that isn’t “orbing”. (This was the second of two things I didn’t like about this episode, FYI.)

I’m sick and tired of seeing fans of the original series bashing the new series. Give this show a shot or don’t, but let the show speak for itself and stop harassing the actors and other people involved in the reboot. If you don’t like something, nothing is stopping you from simply not engaging. Be mature. It’s just fiction. Fiction is supposed to give you a break from your current reality. I’d gladly take a reboot over our current reality any day of the week.

Charmed airs on Sundays at 9/8c on The CW.
