You came out of your room as you headed to the living room, pouting. "Guys!" you yelled. You turned the corner as you were staring at your phone, "Sam and Bucky went on a mission!"
You looked up to see everyone except for the mentioned in the room. When you saw Thor, you smiled, "Thor, you're back! Then you can come to the parade with me!"
You hugged him, and he hugged you back with a deep chuckle. "Lady Y/N, it's good to see you again. Please, meet my sister, Loki."
The woman you only just realized was in the room turned to you, seemingly assessing you with her enchanting green eyes. You smiled as you turned to her, holding your hand out to shake hers, "Hi, I'm Y/N. I'm one of the Avengers here."
"Thor," Steve said, "I thought Loki was your brother."
He shrugged, "She is both."
"Right, and how is that?" Tony questioned.
"You know she is magic, correct, Stark?" Tony shrugged as he took the answer.
You turned to Thor, "Is she coming to Pride with us? I'd bring Bruce but..." you made a face as you rolled your eyes, "he's afraid of the crowd."
Steve chuckled, "He isn't afraid of the crowd, he just doesn't want to risk hulking out in a crowd like that."
You rolled your eyes again. You turned to Loki, "You have to come to Pride with us. I usually bring two with me and the two who were supposed to come left."
The woman thought about it before speaking. You were taken aback by her voice, it was just as enchanting as her eyes.
"I've got nothing better to do..." she said.
The team shared a look with Thor who said, "I'll make sure no one gets into any trouble. No need to worry, my friends."
You smiled, "Okay, we gotta get ready!"
Thor sighed and set Mjolnir down on the table. He was in his Asgardian armour, so he was already set - well, almost. It was also good to see that Loki was in her armour. This would make it easier.
"What do you mean, 'Get ready'?" Loki asked, "I'm already dressed."
"Yes, and that's great, but this parade calls for different...colors," you said.
You took Thor - who grabbed Loki - and pulled them away from the room. Natasha sighed, "Should we bring backup?"
Clint shook his head, "Let Thor handle it. I had my day yesterday."
Wanda nodded, glancing at her brother as she spoke, "And Y/N is strong enough to handle herself."
"If something goes wrong, she's got it covered," Pietro agreed. The team agreed with that and left you to your excitement.
You were looking over Thor's armour to figure out how to get it ready for Pride this year. Loki was lounging on one of the chairs as she watched curiously. You were pointing at different parts of his armour, lifting up others as you examined it closely. You were circling him, as if you were trying to figure out the weak spots.
As you saw in your mind how you wanted it to look, you smiled and nodded as you silently confirmed with yourself. You started with his cape, pulling it out behind him as the colors sunk into the fabric and changed to that of the pride flag. It sparkled a little as well - you could resist the sparkles.
Loki watched with intrigue as you continued to work with your magic. You picked up Thor's helmet, which he had brought with him this time around. You changed the helmet red and made the wing fade through the flag.
You put it back on his head and moved on to his armour itself. His armour, with all its intricacies, was your canvas as you worked, changing the colors and tones to whatever you thought of in your mind. Your eyes had turned gold with your magic while you worked, focused on the task at hand.
When he was finished, he looked over himself. "And you're sure you can change it back?" he asked.
You nodded, "Yeah, 100%."
"That's what you said last time," he looked at you. You rolled your eyes with a huff, "Look, I can only change it to what I see. You didn't take a picture of the suit like I asked you to, so there were some...errors."
"Y/N, you forgot how the armour looked, and I had to go on a mission in bright pink," he complained. You threw your hands up, "Not my problem. I would have changed it sooner, but you didn't take the picture."
You turned to Loki, picking up your phone and snapping of picture of her armour piece by piece after making her stand. "Alright, yours, I'll remember."
You started assessing her armour as you tried to figure out how to change it for Pride, but it was so beautiful that you got distracted. "Wow, this cape is so soft."
"So what is Pride?" she asked curiously as she worked.
You answered her as you continued to look at the intricacies of the armour. If you thought Thor's was specific, Loki's was hella specific. "It's a month where people who are part of the LGBT+ community are recognized, where we show our pride for who we are. We show we aren't going to change just because it isn't the normal standard for everyone. We celebrate, we throw parties, parades, and festivals. We come together, and we have fun. I would go on, but I think you get the gist."
"So what is the LGBT+ community about. What does it stand for?" she asked. You looked up at her and said simply, "Let's see if I can hit all of them."
You continued to assess the outfit and figure out which parts will look how as you also thought about all of the sexualities you could remember.
"So there are so many of them, let's see what I remember. There's asexuality: people who don't experience sexual attraction to others of any gender. Aromantics: people who experience little or no romantic attraction, regardless of sex or gender. There's me, bisexuality: I like boys and girls. Demisexual and demiromantic: people who only feel sexual or romantic attraction to those they feel close to. There's gay, one of the main ones: people who like the opposite gender. Graysexual and grayromantic: people who don’t explicitly and exclusively identify as asexual or aromantic. Lesbians, girls who like girls. Pansexuals and panromantics: who can experience sexual, romantic, or emotional attraction to any person, regardless of that person’s gender, sex, or sexuality (except nix the romantics for sexual). Questioning: still trying to find out what you are. Transgenders: girls who used to be guys, guys who used to be girls. There's nonbinary: they aren't guys or girls. Genderfluid: people whose gender changes overtime, you could be a woman one day and a man the next. Fluid sexuality in general is someone who sexuality isn't permanent. And that isn't even it. You think you're one of those?"
Thor was watching you in shock. He hadn't know there were so many. Loki seemed increasingly intrigued. She thought over your terms and definitions and said shortly, "Genderfluid."
You looked up at her, "Cool!"
She smirked at you. You stood again as you spoke, "Okay, I got it. I'll change a couple of things... but this should work. Do you have a helmet?" She summoned a helmet on her head and your jaw dropped, "That is awesome."
"Your own magic is quite interesting." You smiled and blushed very lightly before focusing on the armour again. You picked up the cap, which was so soft under your hands, and the colors shifted from it's rich green to the colors of the genderfluid flag. You pay attention.
You picked up the helmet carefully in your hands. She watched intently as you took great care with the helmet. You kept the gold as its base color, but change the horns to fade through the rainbow. You worked on the rest of her suit, working carefully and focused.
When you finished, you smiled at your good work. "What's the reason for my cape?" she asked. You answered, "It's the genderfluid flag."
"Interesting," she mumbled. You already had your own suit changed, you've had it changed all month for the parades and festivals.
You turned to Thor for his face paint, waving your hand as the rainbow painted his entire face. "There," you said. You then turned to Loki, simply putting two flags on her cheeks, one side the fluid flag and the other as the rainbow flag. You also painted her nails the fluid flag, she really worked with everything. She looked over herself in awe. She was mostly surprised all those colors worked together. "You look wonderful, Lady Loki."
"Just Loki is fine, darling." You blushed at the pet name but shook it off, "I know, but Lady Loki just sound so nice." She smiled at you, and you quickly looked away before getting distracted.
When you got to your face paint, you painted over your cheeks and nose the bisexual flag. On your nails, you also had them painted in the color scheme. With the snap of your fingers, your clothes morphed into that of your suit. Your cape - one made specifically for the occasion - had the bisexual flag on it. Since your pride suit was sleeveless, you had a tattoo-like painting around both of your upper arms painted rainbow.
"And we're done!" you exclaimed. "Let's go, we're late!"
You ran out of the Tower with the two Asgardians at your tail. As you rushed past the rest of the team, they had shocked expressions on their faces at the fact that you were able to get Loki to cooperate with the pridization of his armour.
Loki was amazed when she saw the parade. It was so big and so...festive. It really was a celebration. You grabbed both their hands and pulled them into the parade with you.
You showed Loki around, showing her different things and introducing her to some of the friends you'd met during the parades. She had a wonderful time as you hung out with her and Thor.
She ended up talking with some of the people she saw had the same flag her cape had. She was so amazed to see how many people were like her. Thor had tons of girls, guys, and otherwise talking with him, some even hanging on his arm. He enjoyed himself as well. The crowd reminded him a little of hanging out with other warriors on Asgard. He enjoyed socializing with other people like this.
When it began getting late, you all headed back to the Tower. You ate with the team and went to go hang out with Loki more in the library, which she had asked directions for.
You ended up falling asleep while in the middle of reading through one of the Harry Potter copies that looked like it was hanging onto life because you had read it so many times.
Loki looked up at you, a soft smile on her lips. She had never taken to anyone quite as fast as she had with you. She took her cape, still in the pattern of her flag, and placed it over you as you slept. She picked up the abused book in your lap, giving it a confused look and snapped her fingers. The book was covered in a green glow, and it came out looking good as new.
She set the book on the table next to her and continued reading. At some point, you had woken up. It was still dark outside and you checked your watch to see that it was nearly one-thirty in the morning. You stretched and looked around the library, seeing Loki look over at you.
"Hey, have you slept yet?" you asked.
She shook her head, "I'm a goddess, I don't need that much sleep."
You smirked, a mischievous glint in your eyes that Loki knew all too well as the Goddess of Mischief herself. "What do you have planned?"
You answered, "You want to go to a party?"
"Didn't we just come from one?" she asked.
"Yeah, but this is...an after party of sorts," you explained. She smirked and raised a brow. The look she gave you with that chaotic beauty of hers made you dizzy.
"When do we go?"
"Right now."
You snuck out of the Tower - or rather, you told Jarvis not to tell anyone that you and Loki had left because you would be back soon and left with Loki. You took her to a secret spot where there was a small - small, as in, around 100 people - party going on around a big bonfire.
Some people were still dressed in their outfits from the parade, others not as much. You only kept your face and arm paint, the same as Loki.
You hung out one-on-one most of the night, if you weren't hanging out with other people in the party. You could tell she was having tons of fun. She seemed a lot more comfortable because of the smaller crowd. You danced, drank, and just had fun. You were glad she chose to come with you.
When the night was beginning to come to a close, you returned back to the Tower before anyone woke up. You stumbled down the hall with Loki in tow. You were very slightly drunk, so "stumbled" was the right word.
Loki supported you as you both chuckled quietly, trying not to wake anyone up. Well, she was chuckled quietly. You? You were covering your mouth to keep yourself quiet because you were being too loud.
She got you to your room and you steadied yourself on the door. "Thanks, my lady," you mumbled, turning to look back at her once you had your hand on the knob.
She smiled at you with a small chuckle, "No, thank you. This was a wonderful welcome. I enjoyed myself."
"I'm glad you did. Hopefully you'll come with us tomorrow too? Sam and Bucky get back tomorrow so they'll be coming with me. Do you want to come along?"
She thought over it for a moment before nodding, "Alright, why not?" You smiled and brought her into a hug. "Yes! Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
She stiffened when you hugged her, not used to being shown affection at all. She slowly put her arms around your body, easing into the hug. You suddenly pulled away before her arms had completely settled, which very slightly startled her. It just happened so fast, she had to take a second to register it.
You gave her a soft smile and told her, "Alright, good night. I'll see you in the morning?"
Before Loki could say anything, Natasha came out of her room stretching, "It's 5 o'clock."
"And? It's morning until 12. Night, girls," you opened your door and waved before going to bed, catching some sleep before tomorrow's parade.
Loki smiled and turned to get to the room Thor had shown her to yesterday. She didn't realize she would be this excited to go to the parade with you again. But she was really looking forward to it.
~
For the entirety of Pride Month, Lady Loki joined you at the parades. You were ecstatic to know every day that she was coming with you and your friends to the parades. The whole team came on the last day of the parade.
Everyone had a blast. There were games and festivities, everyone was excited about the Avengers being at the party.
Tony threw his own party that night as well. Loki only hung out for an hour or two before leaving the party. You joined her since you'd already been going to parties all month.
You were headed to the library with her (one of your hang out spots) before she changed direction and headed for her room, asking if you wanted to accompany her. So you did. You hadn't seen her room until then.
She opened the door for you and stepped aside for you to see inside. You marveled at the designs in the room. The bed had a deep emerald duvet and golden bed sheets underneath. There were five pillows on the bed, the two in the back and one in the front were black with two gold pillows in between. The bed frame itself was black, the wood was made of ebony. The floor was covered with a large, soft, black rug. The walls were a charcoal grey and the lamps had emerald shades over their golden stands. The drapes that covered the windows were also a thick green that kept the light out. He had black book shelves, nightstands, and dressers.
The door closed softly behind her and she asked you, "Do yoh like it?"
You nodded, "You're room is beautiful. And it's so neat. Thor's is worse than a pigsty." She laughed, "I believe the reason for that is the lack of maids."
You laughed as well, "I'd feel bad for the maids."
She invited you to sit down on her black sofa. You sat down, picking up one of the golden pillows and placing it on your lap. She grabbed a book off of the shelf, gesturing to it, "Would you like to read this one with me?"
You read the title and smiled, it was one of your favorite books. You nodded, "Yeah, sure. I mean, if you want."
She sat down next to you, shifting to move the book to where the both of you could read it. It took a second to get in the right position to read it, but you both settled. Your shoulders touched as you sat next to each other, your outer hand holding one side of the book as hers held the other.
With the amount of times you had sat in the library with Loki and read with her, you knew she was a fast reader. But sitting with her like that as you read, you found that she was also a savory reader.
Her eyes flicked across the page, but they would sometimes stopped at the end of a sentence or phrase, as if she was trying to decipher or out more emphasis on something she'd just read. You'd see her get to the end of a page and wait for you to finish reading. That's when you would snap out of your trance and look back at the book to finish reading before going to the next page and doing it all over again.
It was quiet, the only sound was whatever you could hear coming from lower floors where the party was being held. At some point, you finished reading a page, and you looked up to see if Loki was too. When you saw her, she was spacing off as she thought about something.
"Lady Loki?" you asked, catching her attention. You definitely hadn't dropped the habit of calling her that. She looked at you with a light hum. "What are you thinking about?"
She sighed gently as she thought of how to form her reply, "You know I'm fluid, correct?"
You nodded, "Of course. Your cape is still colored in the flag." You chuckled at the end. She smiled with a nod. "Well," she started, "would you like to see my other form?"
Your eyes lit up as you smiled, "Yes, of course!- I mean, if you're comfortable with it."
She softly laughed at your response before allowing a green glow to cover her body. After a moment, the magic disappeared and revealed a much larger body sitting next to you.
Your eyes lit up even more as you saw Loki sitting next to you. But this Loki was a man. He was tall and just as beautifully intimidating than he was as a woman. His hair was a lot shorter as it stopped at his shoulders instead of at the bottom of his back. His shoulders were broad and his jaw was strong. But his eyes, his eyes were the same enchanted green that you'd been staring at since you met him.
He seemed almost anxious as he watched your expression, trying to see what you thought. You smiled, setting a hand on his cheek, "You're just as beautiful now as you were when I met you."
He softened, a smile breaking out on his face. "Thank you for feeling comfortable enough to show me, Loki."
"Thank you for making me feel comfortable," he said. After a moment, magic covered him again as he returned to his other form.
"Do you want to keep reading?" you asked gently. She pulled her bottom lip between her teeth as she thought again. She brought her hand to your face, resting on your cheek. She slowly and gently pulled you closer, giving you options to pull back.
When you didn't, she pulled your face to hers and placed a soft kiss on your lips. It was a slow and sensual kiss, intimate and tender. Time seemed to slow around you as you were wrapped in Loki and only Loki. Her lips were soft against yours, and they moved as if she knew exactly what she was doing. Whether you did or not, you kissed her like it was the first time ever.
Your hand wrapped around the back of her neck, keeping her close as you tilted your head to deepen the kiss. The smell of her apple shampoo filled your senses, her lips tasting of winter crisp.
Loki's kiss were black holes pulling you in until all gravity is lost under her touch that threatened to consume you in a way that only she seemed to know how. It felt like forever that the two of you sat there and got lost in each other's embrace.
But forever didn't last as you eventually pulled away, faces only inches apart as your lips threatened to kiss each other again. You let out a breath, a very soft, very unexpected breath.
Loki's eyes fluttered open, yours soon following as you longed to look into her intoxicating gaze. Your lips turned into a smile when your eyes met, a sparkle in her eye that let you know you weren't dreaming.
Her own lips quirked into a smile as everything around you settled back into its place. You spoke in a feathery voice, one so light that it was barely above a silent whisper, "Happy Pride Month, my lady."
Her chuckle was light, a single breath leaving her as she answered, "Happy Pride Month."
And then your lips met again in another time-stopping, time-consuming kiss.
