"You what?" Your voice comes out in a screech that turns many heads in the cafe you frequented often, like most other students from your university.

Seungmin, who stood in front of you, looking calm and gorgeous as ever stared back at you with a glint of amusement in his eyes.

"You heard me." He says in a cool way that throws you off more.

"I- I need a minute." You manage to let out and cover your head in your hands. The embarrassment from screeching in the middle of the cafe and the shock of what had just happened was all too much to take in at once. You need to breathe.

It was yet another normal weekday filled with assignments, delusional romcoms and endless caffeine ingestion. After a rough summer filled with heartbreak and a depressing start to the fall semester, you had finally gained your footing. The fall had brought with it a lot of changes in you.

You found new classmates who had helped you through the rough times and cared about you. Amongst those classmates was also Seungmin, the menace of the group but surprisingly your favourite confidante. He had been nothing but a little prankster and a comedian who ensured the other boys- Hyunjin, Changbin and Jeongin, never got a single second of peace.

He went a little easier on you and Ryujin, the other girl in the group, and you figured it had less to do with your gender and more to do with the fact that he was positively scared of both of you. While he had been a little less annoying with you, it didn't mean you were entirely free of the classic Seungmin pranks either.

Which is why your first instinct on b being asked out on a date by the Kim Seungmin was to believe he was pulling a prank on you.

Seungmin might be a comedian amongst his friends but you were very well aware of his status as the golden boy of the university's band and the boy with the golden voice. On top of that angelic voice, the boy also had a face that could make everyone melt. That smile had made your heart skip beats on several occasions too.

You had met him on a very surly day of your class during the first week of the semester to discuss forming project teams. What began as a purely academic bond evolved into a sureshot friendship as his friend group got acquainted with you and your friend. You had grown very fond of the boys as they helped you forget your pain.

Seungmin was the first one to reach out and notice your melancholy and something about him made you open up about your struggles. It had been two months since then and he had been your source of support through the entire time. While the other boys were also sweet and Ryujin was your primary pillar of support, Seungmin gave you a comfort that felt worlds apart from the others.

You had your fair share of childish fun with him too. You started to notice how he let only Jeongin and you tease him. Changbin and Hyunjin never stood a chance against Seungmin and despite the latter's fear of Ryujin's brash honesty, he never let her off the hook easily either. It was not exactly a surprise to realise that Seungmin had a soft spot for you.

The surprise was that he had walked into the cafe on a random Tuesday afternoon and chose to utter the words "Will you go on a date with me?" in the most nonchalant Seungmin way with absolutely no warning.

And an even bigger surprise was how your heart was skipping several beats on hearing it and your brain was practically shouting at you to say yes even though you had never let yourself think about Seungmin in that sense.

Correction- you had consciously tried your best to not let Seungmin and his actions, smile, voice, hair or even his pranks affect you in a romantic way. You had just come off a horrendous romantic experience that should keep you sworn off romance for a decade at the least. But you would be lying to yourself if you said you hadn't thought about being with Seungmin at least a couple hundred times in the last month alone.

It had all started with that dream. One cold October afternoon, you decided to make the mistake of taking a nap and ended up dreaming of cuddling with Seungmin while watching the snow from your window. The dream threw you off balance and ever since you have been trying and failing to remove Seungmin out of your mind. The random blushes creeping up your cheeks and a pang of jealousy weighing down your mind every time he performed on stage and you had to watch all the girls drool over him. It was all really frustrating, to have to act normally around him while convincing yourself that you are better off as friends.

Especially since he had started wearing his new prescription glasses and smiling at you randomly. Everything he did got magnified and took up extensive real estate in your brain. Each night you convinced yourself you don't have feelings for him and each morning he would do something so small that would have you fighting for your life trying not to melt.

And now he had the audacity to prank you with something as big as a date and you had no idea how to react.

You parted your hands from your face to look up at him through the gaps in your fingers to find him missing. This made you sit upright and look around, part of you hoping he had left and another part sighing in disappointment at the idea of it being a joke after all. But no, there he was, waiting in line at the counter for his order- which you knew was an iced americano, no sugar and extra ice. You watched as he politely thanked the lady who handed him a drink, then turned around and smiled at the group of freshman girls giggling at him. An involuntary eye-roll escaped and you turned toward your laptop waiting from him to take the seat opposite yours.

"So?" He says, placing his drink on the table and placing his hands on the table as he leans forward.

God, that smirk on his face made your stomach do a backflip.

"So what?" You forced yourself to look and sound as normal as possible. And judging by the smirk that has taken on residence on Seungmin's face you weren't doing the best job.

"Y/N, come on. Stop playing hard to get with me."

"Seungmin what the hell! Stop trying to play one of your stupid pranks on me." This broke his stance. His face turned from playful to serious and it only made your heart beat faster.

"I'm not playing pranks y/n. I am serious." And he looks it too. You gulp down the ball of anxiety forming in your throat.

"You want me to go on a date with you? For real?"

Seungmin flinches at your tone. "Is that really such a weird thought for you?"

The doubt flashing on his face tugs at your heart and you immediately leap to say "no".

This brings the faintest hint of a smile back on his face. He takes a sip out of his drink and says "So it's a yes?"

You say the only thing that comes to your mind at that moment. "Why?"

"What do you mean why?" Seungmin's voice is barely above a whisper.

"Why me? Why now?" Your voice falters at the thought of being vulnerable only for him to end up calling it a prank or a mistake. But the way his face softens at your question removes the worry from your mind. He reaches out and takes your hand in his. The butterflies are doing a full ballet routine in your stomach and your heart thrums in your ears in anticipation.

"Y/N, I knew you were dumb but never thought you were this dumb!" You pout in response and he chuckles. "Okay okay, I was joking. But what I mean to say is... I've liked you for a while now. So I thought I'll ask you out on a date, see if it is an infatuation or something more and then figure out what to do."

It was very Seungmin of him to say that.

"What about my feelings for you?" You questioned out of curiosity.

"That's obvious. You're already head over heels in love with me." He says it with a shrug and you remove your hand from his in frustration. "Ya Seungmin, do you have a death wish?" you exclaim and roll your eyes. Of course, you knew he was joking but your stomach still churned in anxiety.

"Jokes apart, I really do like you y/n and I hope you give me this chance to show it to you. I was waiting all this while for you to take your time after your breakup and move on. Yesterday when you said you didn't even think of any of that mess or feel sad anymore I decided it is time to make my move. And of course, there is no force on you and I won't hold it against you if you reject either. But I really hope you give me this chance. The semester is almost over and we can go on one small date during the break and then figure out everything else. Please?"

Everyone called Seungmin a puppy and you were wary of the nickname initially but at that moment he was looking at you with the softest eyes, lips in a pout and a questioning look that made him look like the cutest puppy on the planet.

His heartfelt confession gave rise to a gazillion butterflies and everything beautiful in your stomach. The big smile formed on your face involuntarily.

"Seungmin that was... cute", you said chuckling. "Who knew you could be this wholesome!"

His pout intensified. "Hey, I am very cute always. But the fact that you haven't slapped me yes makes me hope I might get a yes?" The last sentence sounds more like a question even to Seungmin and you let out another chuckle.

"Yes, Seungmin. I will go on a date with you. Just one though." You feign nonchalance but he sees right through you.

"Y/N, please! I know you are squealing with happiness on the inside right now."

"Yea sure, like I am one of your cringe fangirls ugh! I am just doing this as a favour to you."

"Ahha I see. How kind of you ma'am." He says with a mock bow while his face is glowing with joy.

"Ya stop teasing me or I will back out." The ultimatum sounds like a joke even to your own ears but you keep up the act for the fun.

"No, you're stuck with me now. No backing out!" He said with indignance.

"Do you mean just about the date?" The question left your mouth before your brain could understand it and you regretted it the instant his expression turned serious again.

Seungmin looks into your eyes for a moment too long before responding, "You're stuck with me. That's all."

And just like he leaves for his next class, leaving you to smile to yourself like an idiot. A ping from your phone distracts you.

Seungmin: I'd be wholesome to you forever if it meant seeing you smile like that.

You didn't know what the impending winter would bring but for now, you decided to bask in the happiness and this new facet of Seungmin.

Hyunjin was excited, your first mother’s day was coming up and he wanted to make you a special present. The present being a painting of a bouquet of flowers, the flowers being baby Iseul’s handprints. With the holiday being a few days away, he had to get this done soon. So, he grabbed his art supplies and canvas before going to get his precious baby.Luckily, you had been out grocery shopping at the time when he planned on making the painting.

Iseul had just eaten lunch and was still in her highchair, giggling up at Hyunjin. Smiling, Hyunjin leaned down and pressed a kiss to her cheeks. “ Hi my dew drop, are you excited to make mommy’s present? Mommy’s going to love it so much.” He smiled, as he set the canvas on the highchair tray and laughed as Iseul ran her hands over the fabric. “That’s a canvas, dew drop. We’re going to put your little handprints on it, dew drop. Your cute little hands,” he laughed and grabbed 2 tubes of acrylic paint, turning to Iseul. “ dew drop, do you want to do yellow or pink, munchkin? Noransaek ttoneun bunhongsaek?” He smiled, holding the two tubes up. Giggling, Iseul made grabby hands at the pink paint. “Bunhongsaek, iseul? Pink for my princess,” Hyunjin laughed and opened the tube grabbing a sponge brush. Iseul smiled up at him and kicked her feet. “Is my dew drop ready? It’s going to be cold, princess.” He cooed, kissing her forehead before he carefully took ahold of her left hand and coated it in the paint. Iseul gasped and looked down at her hand, pulling it to her mouth. “Uh oh, no no no, dew drop. We don’t eat the paint, it’s icky icky.” Hyunjin laughed, taking her hand away from her mouth and pressed it onto the canvas, revealing a pink handprint. She giggled and turned to Hyunjin, clapping her hands. “ So pretty, dew drop. That’s your hand! Your little hand.” He smiled and kissed her forehead, wiping her hand with a baby wipe.

“One more time, dew drop, one more.” He cooed, coating her right hand in yellow paint. Smiling, Hyunjin carefully pressed her hand against the canvas, leaving a yellow handprint behind. “Wah, so cute! Look dew drop, your hands! He smiled and kissed her cheeks before wiping her hands off with a baby wipe, before discarding it into the garbage can. Carefully taking Iseul into his arms, Hyunjin sat at the kitchen table, with her on his lap.” Now we need to add the stem and leaves, dew drop. Do you want to help daddy?” He smiled, bouncing her on his lap and squeezing a small dollop of green paint onto a paint palette. Giggling, Iseul squealed and clapped her hands, reaching towards the paint.Hyunjin took a paint brush into his hands, carefully getting Iseul to hold it, his hand wrapping around her small one. “This is how we hold the brush, my dew drop.Now we put it in the paint,” he explained as he dipped the brush into the paint. Gasping, Iseul looked up at him and back to the canvas, as if she asked him what to do next. “See, now we draw a line going dooowwwnnnn,” He said softly, guiding her hand to paint straight lines down from each handprint. “Those are the stems, and now we add little leaves,” he explained, guiding her to add little swipes to act as leaves. Smiling, he gently took the brush from her hand and set it into the cup of water he had out. “Now, dew drop, we’re all done. See? Mommy will love it, princess.” He cooed, picking her up and taking the painting to dry in his studio . Soon after, you arrived home and walked into the house. “Hyun? Baby? Iseul?”

┏━•❃°•°❀°•°❃•━┓┏━•❃°•°❀°•°❃•━┓1 Week Later┏━•❃°•°❀°•°❃•━┓

Today was mother’s day and Hyunjin had made sure your day started off well. He had prepared you a breakfast in bed– complete with heart shaped chocolate chip pancakes, a bowl of fruit cut into hearts, your favorite iced coffee, flowers , a card and a Versace dress(to wear to lunch later). He had brought Iseul into your room, laying her on your chest, to wake you up. Your morning was perfect and now it was lunch time.

Hyunjin had taken the day off work, so he could spend your first mother’s day with you and Iseul. Now, the three of you were at a nice lunch spot he had found. The weather was beautiful so you decided to be seated outdoors. You were waiting for your food, currently holding iseul in your lap and making small talk. “I hope you’re enjoying your first Mother’s day, my love.” he smiled at you , reaching to press a kiss to your cheek. “Oh hyune, it’s been perfect, so far. Thank you so much,” you cooed at him, kissing the back of his hand. Bouncing Iseul on your lap, you pressed kisses to her hair, “and thank you my precious princess. You’re the best present I could ask for, dew drop.” You smiled, as she smiled up at you. Hyunjin smiled, his eyes full of love and pulled out the bag, sitting next to him. “Hey, lovely. Speaking of presents….I have another one for you. I mean, from me and Iseul,” He chuckled, sliding the bag over to you. “Another? Honey, you’ve already done and gotten so much for me,” You pouted, adjusting Iseul as she wiggled on your lap. “Just open it…I think you’ll really like this one,” He smiled, patting your hand.

So, you carefully reached into the bag,pulling the tissue paper out, making sure you held a tight grip on Iseul. Pulling the canvas out, you gasped and felt your eyes water. “Oh my…..are these her handprints?” You sniffled, looking at Hyunjin as you cuddled closer to your chest. Nodding, Hyunjin leaned over to peck your lips and wipe your tears. “Mhm, they are, dove.” He smiled, also kissing Iseul’s cheek. “Oh Hyune, I love it. This is so precious. I’ll cherish it, and you two, forever,” You smiled, holding Iseul up to have her at eye level with you. Kissing all over her face, you smiled, “oh my precious princess. Mommy loves your present so much. Thank you, dew drop. I love you, mommy loves you,” you cooed.Iseul giggled and cupped your cheeks in her hands– the same hands used to make the artwork you were gifted.Feeling himself tear up, Hyunjin snapped a picture of your moment with Iseul and set it as his wallpaper on his phone. Kissing your cheeks, he smiled and nudged the bag towards you. “Dovey, there’s more. Keep going,’” he cooed. Turning back to him, you lowered Iseul into your lap and looked at the bag. “More?Aish, Hyune, this is too much,” You whined, in protest. Shaking his head, he chuckled and pushed the bag to you. “There’s never too much for you, my muse. You gave me Iseul,” he stated, leaning to pinch her cheek. Reaching into the bag, you pulled out a picture frame, holding one of your fondest memories of your little family– you holding ,a then, newborn Isuel angling her towards the camera and Hyunjin sitting next to you on the hospital bed , arms around you with his cheeks resting on the top of your head.Both of you with proud yet soft smiles gracing your faces. Gasping, you teared up and looked at Hyunjin. “Baby……this is beautiful. Thank you,” you whispered. Softly smiling at you, Hyunjin nodded , tears filling his own eyes. “Of course, my dove. I know Iseul wasn’t exactly planned, but she’s changed my life so much, forever. I didn’t know what love was until I met you and you made my heart grow tenfold. Then, you told me you were pregnant and my heart grew more. But…seeing you grow to house her and then bring her into the world, made me realize how much I loved you and will always love you. Thank you for loving me, giving me yourself and her and making me a daddy. I love you and Iseul so incomprehensibly,, my heart.” He whispered, holding your hand, tears falling down his cheeks. “Oh, my baby, There’s no need to thank me. You and Iseul are my greatest gifts and my biggest treasures.”

synopsis: Seungmin works as an HR assistant for JY Publishing. He is invited to help interview the new candidates for an open position and he is susprised to see an old friend. The very same old friend that they had a crush on back in college. Could this be fate?

23rd day of SKZMAS

December 23rd

Seungmin is having his day off. He asked for his holidays way in advance so he was the first to be let go on his Christmas break. He is window shopping, looking for nothing in particular but he knows he is searching for something. You are on his mind with every turn he takes on the snowy streets of Seoul. Then he finds it. There it is, sitting in the shop window, in all its glory, a huge polar bear plush, waiting for its rightful owner.

He does not hesitate a second to go into the store and purchase it for you. He hasn’t seen you since your last lunch date but he was able to score your number. You will start at JY Publishing in January and that is way too far from now to bear your absence. Maybe that’s why he is constantly thinking about you.

When he looks at happy couples on the street, walk hand in hand, your confession comes to his mind and replays on a loop over and over again. The amount of times I imagined making out in the back of the lecture hall… It makes him blush to this very moment. He wonders if he had the guts back then… if he has the guts now… what would happen?

Before he realises he hears the dial tone beep against his ear and once it stops he is taken aback to hear your voice.

“Hello?” you ask, and you scold yourself for sounding so eager. You haven't asked for his number in return, but when you saw the unknown number on your screen, you knew it's him.

“Hey, it’s Seungmin.” he says, his hot breath is like smoke, clutching the gift bag of the plush he got for you. “I really need to see you.”

It makes your stomach drop. Gosh, he- wait. “I-is this work-related or…?”

“Um, no…” he says shamefully, looking down at the bear. “Is that a problem? Sorry, you probably don't want to be bothered right before Christmas.”

“No- I mean ye- wait.” you blurt out, chuckling like a little girl. “You're not bothering. I- I am happy you called.” you tell him softly. “How are you?”

“I’m- I am very good, yeah.” He chuckles, a stupid grin on his face. “Um, I’m in the city just shopping. What are you up to- and well, how are you?”

“I'm much better now.” you say and your cheeks hurt from smiling so hard. “And I also happen to be in the city… did some last minute meetups.” you say, and he doesn't respond right away. “Seungmin?” you ask, and he hums. “Why did you call me?”

“Would you like to- have dinner with me?” he asks, trying to fake confidence. It can take you far, or so he heard.

“Dinner?” you ask unsurely. “You mean, as old friends?” you can't help but add.

“No.” Seungmin says a little too firmly. “Unless you want to!” he adds hurriedly. “But more in a let's date way.”

“Oh.” you say, but it only settles a moment later. A date! Seungmin wants to date you!! “Since when are you… interested in me?” you ask with a giggle.

“Since first day of college,” he admits. “I just never had the guts to ask you out. You had all these people begging to date you, I thought why would I be the one you say yes to. My cowardice was the reason I lost you and I'm not going to let that happen again.”

“Seungmo…” you whisper, and suddenly, you could run to him, no matter where he is. “You have no idea how much I want to kiss you now.” you tell him with a little giggle.

“Are you by the Christmas tree on the square?” he asks, noticing a familiar looking figure a couple meters in front of him.

“Yes, how did you know?” you ask and when there's no response you look around. Your heart stops when you spot him, just a few steps from you, standing there with a huge present and an even bigger smile.

“Hey there, gorgeous.” he greets you through the phone before hanging up. You feel like you are suddenly the main character of a cheesy rom-com as the two of you jog towards each other. You collapse in his bear hug, burying your face in his chest as he holds you tight. “Merry Christmas.”

“Gosh, merry Christmas.” you whisper, and the way he holds you in his arms, the way his cologne engulfs you… you feel like this is where you're meant to be. “I missed you.” you say, not only meaning the past few days but rather, the past few years. You missed him tremendously, and you didn't even realize.

“I missed you too.” he sighs, pulling back to look at you. You didn't change one bit and it makes him smile. You are still as cute as he remembered. “This is for you. I couldn't resist.” he admits, handing you the gift.

You take a peek in the gift bag and you gasp. “No! You remembered!” you giggle, your eyes filling up with tears because this man here, after all this time, still remembers your favorite animal.

“It called my name in a very creepy way.” he admits with a chuckle. “Buy me, Seungmin!”

“Oh, I see.” you nod understandingly before giving him a cheeky smile. “So, you really couldn't get me out of your head, huh?”

“Yeah, it sounds nice.” you nod and pretend to walk ahead before stopping. “Oh, I almost forgot.” you say as you turn back, taking his hand and pulling him close for a kiss.

He lets out a surprised gasp as your lips crash against each other but soon he is kissing back, pulling you close. It really feels like you two are the main characters in a cheesy movie and it is the final happy ending that everyone was rooting for. Finally.

Summary: You liked Seungmin for a long time but just like the typical cliche you didn't confess fearing loss of friendship. But what happens, when Seungmin announces he is going on a date. Will you tell him what your feelings or would you just be like "Go bestie.. I am always for you, love you".. Is Seungmin really going on a date though?

“Y/N, I have a date today, so I will see you later in the evening. Take care yourself for me? Because I know otherwise you won’t. Anyways, bye.” He gently ruffled your hair before jogging off to the other side...

This sentence is looming around in your head from the time he said it and its been nearly 3 hours, 3 freaken hours!! Are you shocked? Yes. Are you happy for him? Obviously Yes. Are you surprised? Damn Yes. Are you happy that he finally got his ‘the one’? BIG NO!!

Because it had to be you.. No, not in a creepy way but you were crushing on him past these 3, almost 4 ? Does it matter anymore, now? You don't know. Although now here we are, watching (not exactly) him confessing to his crush, the girl you assume or should i say has to be 100% confirmed from the biology class shared by you all. Damn you have seen your boy grow up a lot and as much as it hurts but you are genuinely happy and wish the best for him. But how did this mess came up in at the first place?

Long story short...

You and Seungmin weren’t exactly childhood friends but met each other in the elementary school of grade 4th. You were the bubbly, friendly, quite observant and responsibility driven child and a bit talkative while he was more like you, had more qualities just that he was the quiet kid, doesn’t wears too much expression or almost none person in comparison to you who had expressions changed according to situation but mostly you as well had a habit to keep a neutral expression before feeling comfortable and letting people meet your new side.

He joined your school after the summer break due to his dad’s transfer, at first neither of you spoke to each other but after noticing him sitting alone all the time for two days straight, you went to him to have a polite conversation, “Hey, I am Y-

“I know who you are”, he cut you off making you a bit startled but you calmed yourself once more, “That’s nice to hear. Just wanted to say that you can sit with me in class periods or maybe in lunch-break if you want of course, because here everyone is a bit either too shy or bold, so you have to find your match before it gets boring and the annual event of school tests our limits as friends. Anyways, have a nice day.” Maybe, it was your mini speech, or you trying to help him or whatever as the day after weekend, Seungmin came in to ask if he could sit with you in lunch and from their your friendship bloomed...

Maybe it was the final year of Junior high school, the final basketball match at the inter-junior high school level, with Seungmin being the sports captain as well as basketball captain aiming at the basket at the last min which earned him whopping 5 points making him, his team of course winning the prestigious title, which made you realize that you have fallen for love him; no, not because of the match but because he gave a small smile with a wink at your direction making your heart flutter, cheeks rosy red before the whole school burst into happy screams and cheers.

These are just glimpses of 1001 reasons and facts which made you fall for him but what's there for him? Does he like you? As a friend, yes. As a lover? No? Maybe? Not sure? There have been some changes in his personality and interaction but those don't suggest a direction for his liking towards you as more than a friend or it does? You don't know or rather don't wanna know and end to making assumptions and reaching on conclusion.

Now to the present scenario...

Everything was normal at school, just as the usual routine except that the girl from Biology class whom Seungmin is now going to be proposing was absent and he kinda was looking for her but when her attendance was marked absent he didn’t pursue further but other than it was fine until the nuclear weapon was launched and what made the mission 200% successful was your period cramps that came in as a bonus. You were wondering what exactly wrong move did you take in this life course or was it a bad deed’s consequence taking its place right now at the moment.

Its currently 5 in evening, 3 hours back from school with Seungmin’s phrase running around in head including the past hour’s sudden terrible attack of period flow along with cramps making you almost immobile and fear of ruining your new white sheets because of the heavy flow you are sitting on a soft rug near the bed with the poor back finally getting the deserved support from bed’s side and tears continuously flowing down. At this point, you didn’t even knew what was more hurtful, your period cramps or the fact that you couldn’t confess or you are angry at yourself or above all. It was too overwhelming and made you really emotionally exhausted that you fell asleep.

It was only through your phone’s ringtone that made you slowly open your eyes and registered the surroundings. Another ring came in, you picked up without looking at the caller id.

Y/N: h-hello ?

Seungmin: Where the Hell Are You??

(Okay that was pretty harsh)

Y/N: I-I am at home, why?

Seungmin: You aren't picking up your calls and what happened to your voice? Bub, are you crying??

Y/N (internally cursing): w-what? No, no.. I was sleeping and you know if I am too tired and something. I sleep like this, okay. I have to rush washroom n-now. Talk to you later?

He hummed before you ended the call. 'Bub', he affectionately called you this pet name only when he senses something wrong or you need his hugs and wants you to rant but he couldn't have find out that you are crying, right because your voice sounds pretty much similar and as a new set of tears started flowing down again. You were too pathetic in this state and hated yourself. It was a matter of 10 mins, when your doorbell rang.

You quickly washed your face before answering the door as you thought that the parcel your parents talked about it has arrived, you just had to collect it or if it wasn't the parcel person then it had to be your neighbour who shares her either diy creation or something new that she cooks once in a fortnight.

You straighten out your t shirt before opening the door to the least person you had hoped would come, "S-Seungmin?"

"Hey, bub. Can I come in?" You nodded before opening the door letting him in. After, that you both went to the living and sat on the couch.

It was a dead silence none of you spoke anything, waiting for the other to start and which Seungmin did taking you off guard, "Why were you crying?"

"I wasn't crying at all. It's just something went in my eye and it hurt a bit", you did answered him well in comparison to what you thought but.. "I know you are lying to me Y/N and you know exactly the reason why?"

You gave him a confused look before the realization hit you, his sister was an eye doctor and you always consulted her, "No, I spoke to unn- "You didn't because she called me up today and also asked me about your health. Now, what's the other excuse?" He raised his right eyebrow tilting his head towards the right resting on his arm.

'what kind of luck you are having today, just simply great!!' you thought to yourself as you tried to come up with another excuse "S-Seungmin, it's j-, he cut you off

"Don't you not trust me? Or are you tired of me just like the others and wanna break the friendship? You know it hurts to know that s-

"No, no... That's not the case Min.. I can't never.. You mean so much to me that it would be impossible to break any relationship with you! Please, don't say that.." you said while trying to comfort him but in vain.

"Then, what is it? Why are you crying bub? Did someone say anything? Did someone did something to you? Just tell me their names, okay?" He hugged you making your head fall on the crook of his neck. "It's you." You mumbled quietly but sadly he heard.

“Then why did you lie? You have completely lost trust in me!!! I don’t know why? You just said that its me who is the cause of your tears contradicting your own statement! I know that, i am not the best person to be spoken to because of my nature and personality but i won’t disappoint you.” at this point he almost yelling with sadness evident in his speech because he had heard problems and stuff that mattered you in context especially and now when you didn’t answer his calls as well as neither answering to his questions, it scared him to death fearing that one of his assumptions coming true in near future.

“Y/N, I- “There is no point in talking or discussing. Its better to leave.” You knew its a stupid decision leading to further arguments and miscommunication but you felt you couldn’t deal right now. “What do you mean by leave? Don’t you me-” he countered back only to be cut off by you again.

“I mean that lets leave this argument or discussion because there is no point. I don’t know what you wanna know or hear but i have nothing left to say and even if i did it will cause more problems.” Tears were streaming down because of the terrible cramps, the continuous feeling of not confessing and now answering to his questions were all making you feel guilty, sad and overwhelmed.

“Its better to cause more pro- “I LIKE YOU!!! I LIKE YOU SO MUCH KIM SEUNGMIN THAT IT HURTS TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE WITH SOMEONE ELSE AND AFTER THAT YOU WANNA BREAK THIS FRIENDSHIP. ITS OKAY, BECAUSE IT HAD TO BE SOMEDAY AND SOMEHOW. IT HURTS SO MUCH THAT YOU MATTER TO THE POINT THAT I CAN FIGHT THE WORLD FOR YOU EVEN IF YOU DON’T FEEL THIS WAY!”, echos of your scream was heard in the silent house followed by your loud sobs, you don’t know how he will act or react after this but at least you confessed even if its late but you did, giving yourself the chance to heal after all this mess.

“Bub, why didn’t you tell me before? hum, angel? Come here.” he now scooped you up in his arms, making you sit on his lap, your face pressed into his sturdy chest taking his cool mint deo’s fragrance in. He ran his fingers through your hair and planted a soft kiss on your head. “Now, i know that why you weren’t talking before and its also right that I don’t like you. I am really sorry”. your heart stopped beating, tears were threatening to spill again and you tried to remove yourself from his grip. “Its okay I-I und-

“I don’t feel the same way because I love you for God’s sake. I love you so much that it hurts to feel that what if you didn’t feel the same way and just wanted me as your friend. I-i l-love y-you s-so mu-much”, he said as he sniffled a bit after all, he was such a softie for his girl and hearing her confession pushed me over the edge.

“You are so stupid. I hate you so much. God, give him bra- AHH!!” you yelled because of the cramp making you hold your stomach. “ Baby, what happened? Is it aching?” he placed his hand over yours, gently pressing the area. “Is it period cramps baby?” you weakly nodded.

He then carried you to the bedroom and was about to place you on your bed. “The sheets will get ruined” you meekly said and he rolled his eyes. “these sheets aren’t important than you and i will buy you more.” He placed you on bed before preparing a small warm bath. “I have prepared you a bath, it might be exhaustive because of this mess. I will order some medicines and snacks for you.” he showed you his signature puppy smile before helping you to stand. “You know that I can wa-

“Nope, you won’t. I can’t even imagine your pain. I will carry you, okay? Also, how about some chocolates and cuddles?” Your eyes widened but a shy smile came over. “Thank you so much. It means alot and also Minne..” He hummed at your response. You gently tip toed before kissing his cheek. “I want some kisses as well. I love you”

You ran inside the bathroom leaving a flustered Seungmin with rosy cheeks and an idiotic smile but before he could reply you said, “But that reminds me,didn’t you say that you had a date?”

A smirk came on his face and came to you whispering in your ears, “Baby, when I said I went for a date, what did you think? I really thought my baby isn’t that forgetful but its okay. Now go and enjoy the bath” and kissed your cheek making you not only red but the sudden realization hit. “Minnie, did yo-
