Your favorite writers have stopped updating, not returned from hiatus, or simply deactivated altogether, because they get no support.

If you're one of the people who goes to X writer's inbox and says "I know I don't reblog from you-" lemme just stop you right there.

We have lives. We have duties, things to do, responsibilities, because a big chunk of us are adults. It's okay that you have other things, that you're not always available, that you might be going through something and can't always read or reblog everything. Writers get that.

But no writer wants to see you tell them "Hey, I know I don't reblog from you!"

They know. They're in a slump for a reason. The reason isn't you not reblogging or supporting them, the reason is hardly anyone doing it.

And if you go to them and wave the "hey!! I don't reblog from you even though it's all you ask in return for your free work!" card, chances are, the writer will be upset. They can't very well point out how tactless you're being, because then they might just be cancelled or called out for being rude to you when you are deliberately being tone-deaf to their situation as well.

Like you, writers have lives outside. Writers have jobs, or are searching for them; they have worries, duties, things going on, worries, etc.

The difference is they sit for hours upon hours to write, while it would only take you between a second and a minute to reblog.

Reblogging is absolutely not difficult. Fast reblogging is incredibly quick and practical, but "slow" reblogging isn't slow either. You don't even have to add a comment to the reblog, an empty reblog is just as appreciated.

Supporting your writers is literally not difficult, and if you as a reader and as a consumer aren't going to do it, then it's totally fine if you choose not to. Your life, your blog, your choice.

But don't go at a writer to remind them "Hey I know I'm among the people who doesn't support you but I still like what you write" and expect them to be overwhelmed with joy without feeling the slightest tinge of resentment.

Likes do nothing!!!

If you're in the position to support a writer, do it. It's not hard.

                Jongho never really believed in love at first sight, but everything changed when he noticed you among the sea of people waiting for the fansign. He had already found you beautiful, when he caught you smiling at one of your friends, his heart seemed to stop for a moment, barely able to wait for you to arrive in front of his chair.

                His eyes searched yours that continued downwards, your face blushing with every word he exchanged with you, making him find you even cuter, but nothing compared to when you started saying how incredible you thought he was, not just in the singing department, but also as an actor, how you wanted to see him in more works, as you knew he was incredible in everything he did, and on how many things you two had in common.

                He could feel his heart stopping when your eyes finally held his gaze once you started to feel more comfortable around him. His eyes landed on where your hand was, so close to his, only needing to stretch out a finger to touch your hand. And that's what he did, holding your hand with the purest delicacy, but with enough firmness to make you shocked by it, especially when he intertwined your fingers with his.

                Jongho had never hated so much how quick this little encounter was. He could spend the whole day looking at every detail of your face, how your smile got bigger when he praised you, how you lowered your head whenever you said something about how good he was, or when he complimented something about you. But nothing compared to when the time was announced and Jongho pulled the back of your hand close to his lips, almost like a touch of feather against your skin, his eyes never leaving your face, ending with the gummy smile you said you loved it, your face becoming completely red, but without making any intention to move your hand away from his touch.

                When you finally managed to say goodbye, with one of the staff rushing you, reminding you that you were at a fansign, your eyes quickly went to the material that the boys had signed, finding a folded page, opening it and finding Jongho's phone number asking to you call him.

                Your eyes turned to where he was, looking at your hands when you found his eyes already on you and a smirk present, making you hide your face, but your eyes never leaving Jongho who smiled widely before indicating you, feeling a staff arriving at your side, telling you to wait in a more distant place. Jongho's eyes following your every movement, he couldn’t wait to feel you close to him again, thinking of every way to make you shy just to see your red cheeks, making you even cuter than he already thought.
