🌞 Blessed Beltane! 🌞

My Cernunnos altar for Beltane 🦌 💚

To celebrate Beltane, I:

-Mailed out Mother’s Day Cards to the wonderful women in my life; the women who gifted me my spiritual ability and potential 💐

-Slow cooked Garlic Butter Steak Bites all day and paired it with veggies for dinner

-Baked a lemon cake as an offering to Cernunnos & Hekate and to share with my partner

-Watered my plants 🪴

A lot of big changes have come about since I last posted. Big steps in personal healing and identity. I’m of course still a very devoted witch and practice regularly, still devoted to Hekate & Cernunnos, but these changes mean that I embrace Beltane with open arms, welcoming the new vitality and vigor that spring brings with both nervousness & hope.

In the shadows of the forest, the spirits of the dead gather to watch as we honor the ancient rites of Beltane. It's a time of rebirth and renewal, where we celebrate the return of the sun and the awakening of the earth from its winter slumber.

But amidst the beauty of this sacred time, the darkness lingers. For the spirits are not always benevolent, and the magic of the night can bring both blessing and curse.

So as we gather around the Beltane fire, let us remember to honor the spirits of the land, the ancestors who came before us, and the gods who watch over us all. Let us offer our gratitude and our respect, and let us be mindful of the power we wield.

May the spirits guide us and guard us, as we dance beneath the moon and celebrate the beauty and the mystery of this wondrous world. Blessed Beltane to all.

My altar dressed for Beltane. I hadn't intended to get up to see the dawn, but I was wide awake at 4.30am so I've had a quiet, slow start to the day including going out into the garden to pick flowers. I may need a nap this afternoon :-)

I joined one of my favorite people, Athena Perrakis, on Tuesday during her live for decorating an altar space for Beltane! It was fun learning, watching and decorating.

I made my altar by hand from an idea in my head, stained the wood and let it sit in the sun for several days before bringing it into my space. I finally have an altar that I can set up and I am so thankful.
