i think people who say that batman should kill should go read terry pratchett’s night watch, and thud! for extra credit. pratchett says it better than i can— someone who works to serve and protect a city cannot play judge jury and executioner, no matter what atrocities someone committed. even and especially when they’re gleefully unrepentant, or have specifically targeted you and your family. understanding sam vimes gives you a much better understanding of batman.

1. Sirius came back from the summer even hotter which SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE. And his hair is so long now, and he keeps playing with it during class, and it isn’t FAIR. Existence is pain. Will he ever know anything but torment??

2. Sirius keeps flirting with his dad and going on and on about how hot he dad is and how he’s going to fuck his dad, and if he wants to fuck a Lupin, why can’t it be him?? And, oh Merlin, what if Sirius becomes his stepfather?? The universe hates him. Life is a cruel joke.

3. Sirius said he didn’t understand how any girl could not like James. Look at him!! He’s so perfect!! But when the topic came up about Remus and girls, Sirius said “ew imagine our Moony with a girlfriend 🤢.” And yes he is gay but clearly Sirius thinks the thought of him dating is disgusting. He is truly the most vile, repulsive creature alive. Why has no one decided to put him out of his misery yet??

Oooh Bat, what an excellent question! 🏒

So firstly, Remus would not play hockey as an adult. I just...have a lot of trouble picturing it. In Sweater Weather he is a Physical Therapist and honestly I could picture that for him...working closely with the team without actually playing hockey. Not to say that he doesn't know how! He probably played as a kid/teen, is a strong skater and not terrible with a puck! I just think that professional hockey player isn't for him. He was probably a left winger when he did play...I can see him getting a ton of assists, and a decent amount of his own goals under the right circumstances.

Sirius would be a centre. He'd be a star player, really getting a ton of goals for his team. Pass the puck to him and he'll make it happen. I picture him sort of like a cross between Auston Matthews/Mitch Marner. While he excels with a puck on his stick in front of a goal, I really think he can do it all. Short of defencemen? Put Sirius in. Right winger injured? Sirius can do that. He is a swiss army knife of a player.

James would play defence. As a character in general he's very protective of his friends, and I think this would translate on the ice. He's a strong player, but when someone tries a dirty check on one of his boys? Wooooo watch out! James loves a fight, he is helmet and gloves off, ready to go.

UNDERRATED SHIP i mean i gotta say prongsfoot. and also wolfstarbucks !!!! there is NO REASON in my mind that james would get together with REGULUS (wizard racist, terminally uncool, etc) when SIRIUS (the coolest, charming, always correct, smart, beautiful, etc) is RIGHT THERE. hes right there!!!! and theyre canonically incredibly devoted to one another, cant stand being separated.... YEAH. and then what the hell throw remus, the friend they both risk everything to help and defend on several occasions.... YEP. every perfect power couple needs their damp self-loathing pathetic Guy to round things out !!! they need a Project!!

sirius and rabastan is objectively hilarious and i really do love a little slutty sirius - he can make terrible decisions and be self destructive as a treat !!! i think sirius knows hes attractive, and usually just doesnt care about anyone other than james and remus, but if theres one thing about him hes gonna find a way to self destruct/self harm as a coping mechanism !!! and hey, that distant relatives wedding is soooo boring, he deserves to have a little fun!

to set the scene, remus is more aware and also afraid of his feelings, so he's consciously trying to smother the gay thoughts while sirius's brain is a never-ending parade of "moony would love this where is moony have to remember to tell moony about this funny thing that happened what's moony doing why isn't he paying attention to me oh a werewolf question can't wait to tease moony about it..."

sirius magically links their notebooks so they can write notes to each other in class. when remus is ignoring him (i.e. actually taking notes), sirius draws cute little doodles of them. remus cries over these doodles at night and dramatically stages spilling his tea the next morning to hide the tear stains.

remus gifts sirius a jumper for his birthday because he's sick of sirius stealing his jumpers and looking so gorgeous and cuddly and getting his scent all over them. sirius feels deeply hurt by this but can't put his finger on why.

sirius gifts remus his own book back for his birthday, but he's annotated it with inside jokes and underlined sections that remind him of their friendship except most of these sections feature a romantic couple. remus is so overwhelmed that he becomes physically ill.

remus accidentally lets an "I love you" slip while he's giving padfoot ear scritches and forms an elaborate plan to assume a new identity.

sirius doesn't actually like being flirted with, but he brags about it to remus every single time it happens because he subconsciously wants remus to find him desirable. remus copes by entering the soggiest of slut eras.

How does Sirius feel about the muggle space travel!!!!!!!!!!

He is utterly fascinated by it!

Before he is able to read, even before his birth, there have been dogs and people floating around on their way to the stars. Whenever he is out of gp12, Sirius then goes to read about the space race in muggle newspapers. At home, his parents talk about it often, of the political aspect of it. About how to use the technological progress as a tool to devide the muggles and wix further. They meet juri gagarin in Russia when Sirius is 7yo, in St Petersburg, and Sirius is allowed to ask him a few questions. Sirius breaks out from home in 1969, to go out and watch the moon landing through the window of a TV store. It's what inspires him to learn more about technology, and about muggle astronomy. Let's him see the world in new ways he hadn't considered before.

And his parents don't like that. Their early talk about how to use space travel as propaganda against muggles has turned into them believing their own propaganda. Walburga became more and more disgusted by muggles and the filth they bring everywhere. Orion has already had tendencies to paranoia, but it only gets worse throughout the cold war. They have to sell their last two country estates over the duration of the 60s, and that alone fills them with so much shame and humiliation that they need a scapegoat. Muggles are a good first step. And their muggle lover son the next.

Anyway... When Sirius comes to school, he meets a boy who never looks at the night sky, who avoids it like the plague. Who knows just about every fact there is to know about the stars, but nothing about the moon. And he teaches him then. About space travel. About the men on the moon. Is able to take some of the fear off his friends shoulders. Bc if there's muggles who can just walk around on the moon no problem, it can't be all that magical and dangerous, can it?
