Me wonders how similarly Astarion would treat Tav/ his consort compared to how Cazador treated him (you’ve talked about the scarification thing, but are we gonna be living in a crypt and eating bugs and rats though🤨)
No.
Hers will be a gilded cage will all the comforts afforded a queen. She will gorge on the finest blood, sleep upon the finest sheets, and wear the finest clothes. He will want her by his side-- albeit kneeling-- until the universe collapses. She'll share his bed and be his beloved, but how much of a good thing that is will be very questionable.
She is still under his thrall, though still mostly given free will-- mostly. After all, he fell in love with her as she was. He doesn't want to smother that.
Make no mistake, however. It very much is a cage.
She will be kept handsomely, but she will still be kept. He will make it known to both her and everyone else that she belongs to him, be it by the scars on her skin that bear his name or the tightness with which he keeps her near. If she does as he wishes, fawns over him, bends to him when he desires it, she will live well. Riches and adoration abound. A true trophy wife, showered in love by her husband.
Fight him, however, and things will become much more difficult.
He won't have her seduce and retrieve souls like Cazador did-- he has other spawns for that. She will be expected by his side, supporting his every decision, lavishing him in love, and being the perfect little wife.
Deviate from this role, and that is when things become... hard.
There's a part of him that likes it when she fight back. He likes punishing her because it's fun. Punishment doesn't consist of rats and bugs and dank kennels, but whips and chains and cages. His ascension made him a domineering tyrant, and his punishment is about reinforcing that role to her, having power over her and forcing her to recognize it.
Try and escape? Into the bedroom cage she goes. Tell him that only prisoners go into cages, and he'll say so do beloved pets that stray too far. He'll get her a collar, if she'd like-- a lovely golden one. Let it serve as a reminder where her place is. She wouldn't survive without him there to protect her. Her best interest lies here and she can stay here and allow him to look at her through golden bars-- until he wants her, that is-- for as long as she needs to get that through her pretty head. She's his, and its high time she learned to appreciate that.
Back-talk a bit too much? Argue with him in front of his men? Undermine his authority? Allow him to remind her just who is in charge. If she's a vampiress, obviously she doesn't need to breathe, but having her throat squeezed until it bruises still proves a point. He is bigger, faster, and stronger than she is and he will use it to his advantage. He won't thrust her into the sunlight like he does his spawn, but he will choke her until her voice cracks and wheezes when she begs for mercy.
She doesn't need to talk if she's going to question his authority. Her sassing isn't what he needs her mouth for, so if she's going to backtalk, she can simply not talk at all.
He'll cane and whip her, making a point to say how it hurts him so much more than it hurts her when he's clearly enjoying it-- very much enjoying it. Perhaps she needs a new little scar-- perhaps he wants to see her fear, so out comes the knife. Arousal and tyranny go hand in hand with this new version of her lover, and he seems to delight in her pain and supplication. Making her beg and plead. Making her bend and pushing her limits, forcing her to do things she would never otherwise do for him.
Make no mistake, he gets off on his power. He'll punish her how he sees fit. He'll never kill her, allow her to leave, or cast her aside, but he'll make her wish he would. Her body and mind are his to abuse, and he takes full advantage of that both in and out of their private chambers.

He has a 103 fever, and refused to eat tonight… in a kinda gave up way.
Please pray for him, and my family, and the caregivers. We’re all worried…

Sinfest Is a terrible webcomic but it’s an endlessly fascinating cultural text in that it provides a window into one man’s political (d)evolution over the last 20 years. I can’t think of another single work that illustrates so well how a type of basically liberal 00s guy got radicalized by Bush’s imperial wars, their continuation under Obama and the (non response to) great recession into a kind of free-floating political extremism that rejects liberalism as complicit in America’s crimes and yet for that exact reason is able to be captured by the far right. And that’s not even beginning to get into Tatsuya’s sexual hangups!

I think one of the easiest comparisons for the movement of “don’t support JKR” is this:
Imagine if Donald Trump was... exactly the same as he is now, but he had a voice that could just... make a wolverine purr. Imagine that.
Now, even if his voice was objectively fucking orgasmic to listen to, why the fuck would you ever invite him to speak on literally anything at all?
“Oh, but his voice is really nice to listen to-”
“Every word out of his mouth is some level of hate-speech.”
“Yeah, but if you just don’t listen to what he says, but just his voice-”
“You’re showing your friends videos of him saying horrible things, and sighing about his voice. You’re giving him money to keep saying shit, and a platform to say shit from. Do you think your friends are going to assume that you “only care about his voice”? Or are they going to get the fuck away from you, before you start spouting the same shit he is?“
And like... if you’re so desperate for a “good voice” to listen to just... invest some time into looking for really good ASMR-stuff instead?

It really sucks down in Peru. Riots everywhere, crime rates and violent incidents happen all the time, and their economy is crashing down like crazy. I don’t live in Peru, but my parents tell me about this because they are worried for family there. I really am worried for them.

So I randomly found this school-work about how the Fairy Godmother of Cinderella is usually depicted as fat. It is quite short, only eleven pages (which prompts me to think it might be a school work, not a university one), and while it has a good idea and a good concept when it comes to studying the Godmother character it quickly becomes a bad work - from digressions that don’t help push forward the thought to repetitions... I will still post it for both the references invoked and the good starting idea, but you can also take this as a counter-example showing you what NOT to do when writing a paper X)

I fucking hate this. When I was a kid, my mom used to yell and scream all the time. In her old age, she's mellowed out. But just a while ago, she was in the other room yelling at my dad about something, and it triggered me and suddenly I was 4 years old again and terrified and I couldn't stop crying. I'm only just now calm enough to post about it

Ok me and my friends are trying to out together a presentation to give to year groups at my school for LGBTQ history month, and one of my friends has said he thinks there should be more of a focus on the positives, does anyone have any positive parts of queer history?

Quote
You sink your splintered words into my boat, and hail a flag over the coast of the nearest shore. I’m sent back to the waters where I drown, hailed down by smoke and cannons where the sharks swim around in a blood-frenzy panic. The waves gave birth  to my name and to yours, rocking a gentle cradle. They almost sound the same from down below, floating with a broken steer handle. I know it’s not home, but we’re all searching, aren’t we? As though the vast sea would make one free, to be as we have been all along. Even the pieces of the shipwreck were built into me, incomplete - but my own.
my old poetry

Disgust has absolutely no ethical weight. If you are basing your ethical positions on the emotion of disgust you should stop, it is entirely unjustified and leads to a huge amount of harm.
