He regrets the statement because, between the movies, it came out that baby powder with talc was causing various forms of cancer because it contains asbestos.

You know, the "if you or a loved one has been diagnosed with mesothelioma, you may be entitled to financial compensation" thing. That asbestos. In baby powder and makeup.

All of these articles are recent, but J&J has (allegedly) been aware of this issue for decades, and research into the carcinogenic effects of talcum powder has been going on for years.

It just hasn't made its way into the public eye until now.

Ok THIS is amazing. It smells JUST like the tea, and it’s only around $25 or something. I’ve got their linden perfume and baby powder roll on and they’re my signature scents. I have “kitten fur” on order, it’s supposed to smell sweet and earthy, like a kitten. 🐈 I really want to get their honeydew melon and watermelon ones next.

Headcanon: Thinking about Vi being that annoying older kid that wouldn't leave her little sibling alone in peace when Powder was first born.Their parents were worried about how Vi would react to having a new little human in her space all the time,but girly pretty much appointed herself as a second mom and babysitter the moment Powder was brought home and lived up to the title. Playing with her, holding her, trying to dress her or feed her.

Oof, my heart. This hits close to home, dear anon.

Vi thought Powder was the coolest toy (because children take a bit to understand and learn to differentiate between what is alive and feeling and what is inanimate, it all feels the same to them), she dotted on her and that attachment only got stronger with time.
