BREAKING NEWS!!!

The King and Queen of Bhutan welcomed a baby girl today, September 9, 2023.

"We are honoured to share the wonderful news that a healthy baby girl has been born to Their Majesties, The Druk Gyalpo and Gyaltsuen today, coinciding with the 25th day of the 7th month of the Female Water Rabbit Year, in Lingkana Palace, Thimphu. Both Her Majesty and the Royal baby are doing well. The new-born Princess is the third child and first daughter of Their Majesties. Their Majesties extend their heartfelt gratitude to the medical team of dedicated doctors and nurses, the Zhung Dratshang for all the prayers conducted and to everyone for their well wishes."

Meet the reason l've not posted an update in a while.

On month 12 of our TTC journey. We finally got that positive that seems to be sticking. Todays scan (6 weeks) showed a strong heartbeat ♥️ so chances of miscarriage are tiny now 🙈

have been tired and nauseous as hell for weeks! So unfortunately my writing took a hit. I will get some updates out in the coming weeks but wanted to share the happy news with you all 🥹

"I have to tell you something," James said to Regulus as they walked toward the restaurant. Sunday dinner this week, Effie decided was not going to be her cooking. She was all too tired with it having just been the holidays, but she never cancelled. James was happy though, he loved getting together with everyone, all his friends, his family. He loved it even more when Regulus started coming and how he easily fit in with their rambunctious group.

Regulus took James by the hand, his fingers finding home laced with James'. This dinner was going to be especially special for them both, and while Regulus was nervous, his anxiety for the first time was unmatched to his excitement. "Alright darling?" He asked looking up at James briefly. James took a deep breath, stopped walking, and pulled Regulus around to look at him.

"What?" Regulus asked tentatively, concern riddled in voice. James looked all too worried and that scared Regulus. "Okay please don't get mad but I may have told Sirius the news, and before you say anything because you have every right to be mad about that but hear me out: imagine him yelling in that restaurant and I think that would be worse, also I couldn't help it I needed to tell him," James said it all in a rushed breath, his eyes shut tight behind his glasses.

Regulus squeezed his hand, trying to get James to open his eyes. He peaked one open to reveal Regulus' sweet eyes and upturned lips looking back at him. James was visibly relieved, the tension falling like a weight from his shoulders. Regulus smoothed his hands over James upper arms, "James it's alright, and I already know. Why do you think I was on the phone with Sirius for an hour this morning? He just called to scream repeatedly "a baby Reggie! You're having a baby!" And when Regulus laughed at his own recounting James pulled him into a hug. "It's fine I was going to tell him first anyway so he wouldn't scream either," Regulus said into James' shoulder.

"Good team aren't we," James chuckled as he pulled away, and took Regulus' hand to walk the last block to the restaurant.

After they arrived and everyone settled, drinks were ordered and pleasantries exchanged, James stood and held his glass. "I'd like to propose a toast," he said as everyone's attention fell on him. Sirius' face spread into a wide smile as he looked at Regulus knowingly. Regulus nodded gently, and Sirius clapped his hands together, now vibrating in his seat. "First to family, blood and chosen, forever loved and I am grateful for you all," James said which was met with a round of nods and shoulder nudges. "Regulus and I are so thankful for all of you and wanted you all to know that our family is going to be growing, and one little one is expected at the end of July."

And while Sirius wasn't yelling, everyone else was. A round of applause, congratulations, and many cheers erupted at the table. Everyone followed Effie who jumped up to pull James and Regulus into a hug together. The entire restaurant was now looking their way, but know one seemed to mind. Remus took Regulus' hand, pulling his gaze: "you're insane, a baby?" He said with joyful grin. "With this one, I know. But honestly I can't wait."

Summary: When Marinette finds out she’s pregnant with their first child (and Dingo accidentally finds out before Luka), Dingo begs her to let him be the one to tell Luka the happy news.

Author’s Notes/Warnings: It still counts as a Father’s Day fic if it’s a day late, right?  I don’t usually observe Father’s Day anyway, but there was this mug, see, and then a plunny, and this was supposed to be quick, short, and stupid.  It still is, even if it's now also late.  😂

In hindsight, it was probably Marinette’s fault.

No.  No, it was definitely Marinette’s fault.

But, at the time of the…accident, Marinette was also pregnant (even if she was still early pregnant), and pregnancy hormones – Baby Brain – can do some wicked things to a woman.  And she wouldn’t have been pregnant in the first place if not for Luka, so really, didn’t that actually make it Luka’s fault?

…yeah.

So.

Really.

Update!

Firstly, apologies to anyone this might ‘trigger’ don’t read if baby related stuff affects you. So as many of you know, my hubby and I have had a tough road getting to this point but today we got to see how big lil Bean has grown. They’re perfect and we are on cloud 9!

They are old. They have been trying for a baby. They want a baby. They really had to do a lot of things to get a baby so of course they want one and have been trying. Still... Regulus is panicking.

How could he be just a few short months away from being a father? How was he supposed to do this now? Yes they have been working with a lot of agencies, but they got a call and now it is real and the excitement died when James went to get the take away and now he is spiralling.

Their friends knew abstractly that they wanted a child. James of course wants a slew of them, but Regulus is really hoping they can figure out one.

When James returned, he walked back into the living room and found Regulus curled in on himself, pulling at the loose threads on his pants. "Alright love?" He asked cautiously, setting down the food on table.

Regulus looked up at him, grey eyes wide. "We are not ready for this," he declared. "I think we need to tell people because I do not think we can do this alone. Like right now."

James let out a big sigh, "oh thank goodness can I call my mum please?"

"Yes! Get her over here now. I need her. And and, Monty please?" Regulus replied just as hastily.

"Okay I'll call my parents, you call Sirius and Remus?" James propositioned.

Regulus stood and moved over to James, wrapping his arms around him. "I love you and thank you I need my best friend to know,"

"Yeah I need mine too!" James said and they both ran in different directions.

Soon after the 4 arrived. Their family. James sat them all on the couch, from left to right: Monty, Effie, Sirius, and Remus. Regulus went into their bedroom to dig out the little booties James had bought when they started this journey. They hadn't shown them to anyone, so Regulus quickly put a bow on the plain white box and brought it out to the living room. He handed it to Effie, who looked at it quizzically. "What's this all about boys?" Monty asked.

"Well first thanks for all coming so quickly," James said as he pushed a shaky hand through his messy curls. Regulus went to stand beside him, placing a grounding arm around his waist. James responded by easily sinking into him and wrapping his arm around Regulus' shoulder. "Go ahead and open that mum," James said.

"We have a bit of news," Regulus explained as Effie pulled the box top off. She slowly pulled the little shoes out of the box, and immediately locked eyes with both of them. "Am I going to have a grandbaby?" She said, and when James and Regulus nodded, the others caught on and soon everyone was crying happy tears and laughing and hugging them in a big circle.
